Hello precious child of God! I can't begin to understand the feeling of loss you have experienced. I can say that I have felt an unbearable level of loneliness in my lifeand I was in no way alone, just very depressed. For this reason, I felt compelled to reach out to you. God really is with you and guiding you in His perfect way. You may not feel it now, but He has plans for you. I will most certainly keep you in my prayers. I wish I could know you and personally walk by your side to help you find the will to want to be here. If you are able to reply, I am here for you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss!

God is amazing and he has his reasons and a bigger plan for all of us. He knew something you didn't and even though tragic, we just have you pray that he either gives you answers to your questions or heals your heart in time.

I can't even imagine what you're going through, but all our tears and pain have a purpose. And that is the truth I stand on. And am now passing it onto you at this time!

    I'm Jesus' Name, Amen!

Please know that there are kind hearted Christians in the world that will be with you through your pain. We can go through difficult valleys that seem impossible however God will never leave us or forsake us. I was diagnosed with ALS in November and am just crying out to God and praising Him for my salvation in Jesus and trusting Him with my terminal diagnosis. 1 Corinthians 13 v 12 says we're looking through a glass darkly but we must keep the faith and trust in God. I pray that the Holy Spirit sends you comfort and love, a warmth and peace that in undescribable.

I'm so sorry for your loss and pain. Please remember that you're not alone, Jesus will never leave you or forsake you, and you have millions of brothers and sisters in Christ who love you. Things are bad right now but Jesus never leaves us in our bad places. We can't see past our pain, but He sees our whole existence as though it were already past, and He knows He will turn all things to good. He promises to make all things new! And like Him, we can consider what He has promised as though it were already done, that's how sure it is. Don't give up on His promises. Just like Elijah who grew weary and thought he was all alone, yet God had kept 7000 who were faithful, believe you are not alone. Ask Him to open your eyes to His love again and show you His heart. We are all praying for you!

    Kimberlee,

If you are talking about a woman pastoring a church, I would say that a woman is not to fulfil the role of a pastor ( 1 Timothy 2:12-14). A woman does not meet the biblical qualifications of that role, neither can she serve in that capacity where she would be in a position of authority over the man in the church.

1 Timothy 3:2 gives the qualifications of an overseer, or bishop. This would also apply to a pastor as he is an overseer in the church. But it says that an overseer/bishop (Pastor) must be the husband of one wife and be able to properly manage his own household before he can run a church. The husband of one wife as a qualification would rule out a woman being a pastor. Disclaimer: (If you live in California where I do, this would be debatable).

But the biblical teaching and qualifications of who and what a pastor should be would rule out women pastors. I know this is probably going to cause some strife with some but I have to stick with what I understand the scripture to say on the matter unless I'm persuaded otherwise.

Hopefully I have not offended you or anyone else!

    Hi Anja,

We had a conversation on this subject a week or so ago. I am not sure if the posts are still up, but you can check.

Some sources think that it was around September 14/15 at the beginning of a Jewish New Year. Others say it may have been May or June. Others have said early Spring. I wish we could know for sure. It would sure settle a lot of things. But perhaps it was not recorded in Scripture for a reason, since surely Mary, who was with the disciples on Pentecost and after, knew exactly when He was born (mothers never forget!).

Historical records show that His birth was celebrated in December around the solstice in the 2nd or 3rd century A.D. but it was not widespread until a few centuries later.
