Dear Catherine Gordon. We should all hope that all who are Jesus saved in here hope and believe that everyone will be. But just like in the rest of society, we are different individuals. Here the talk is really if I think about :) is about the Words in the KJV Bible over all Bibles in my opinion. Then there are those who think that it is not, diversity is widespread. We are many in the world today.

We have to count on the web and meet all kinds of believers. One thing that is important is to remember that God Is the Same In Him there is no changing shadow, as in us humans. Loving, Patient, Long-suffering but not stupid, we are to be believers. Jesus believers in them shall one find the salt, in them we shall find the Light. Shall we now walk to earth as empty in Jesus Christ. Would it all be a sad sight. It reminds me of the scripture I read today.

Acts 23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

And after: In same chapter. 37 And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.

We belong to the living God as we believe in Jesus Christ. He will do the work in us even if we do not SPEAK in tongues. Everything is fulfilled if we live our lives in Love of God and His Son Jesus Christ in the kingdom of the Holy Spirit.

A few years ago I got to experience and talk to a sister who is so nice a Christian. But she condemned the stately church. What should one say to such a thing? Is there not a believer in Jesus Christ in the church, I asked. Yes, she said and went for it. Do you need to say anything more? It is God who decides who He wants to come to Him and be with Him and judge the living and the dead. I will not condemned some I leave that to God. God bless u and yours.

Hello Carolann. You're referring to Psalm 51:19: "Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar."

Psalm 51 is David's cry out to God because of his sin with Bathsheba (the wife of Uriah). After his acknowledgement of his sin & plea to God for forgiveness, cleansing, & restoration of joy & fellowship, David brings to the fore a wonderful Truth: a Truth about a true & acceptable sacrifice to God. He's stating to God (verse 16), that it would be easy to just bring Him a sacrifice to deal with his grievous sin. Though God required various sacrifices (for various purposes) from the priests, their objective was hardly met because the main inclusion with that sacrifice was missing. And that which was missing is seen in verse 17, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."

Then in verse 19, David states, only "Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. The sacrifices were meaningless if a true contrition for sin & a broken spirit were excluded. The burnt offering was performed for the acknowledgement of the sins of the people & for a renewed relationship with God. The offering, usually a bullock, was sacrificed by burning on the altar & the priests could keep its skin for themselves. But David writes about the "whole burnt offering", indicating the whole animal can also be sacrificed to the Lord & the smoke from the altar would ascend towards Heaven.

I believe that David was implying that for the sacrifice to be acceptable to God and that the smoke would be a "sweet savour unto the Lord" ( Leviticus 1:9), also required that the sinner's heart was truly contrite, making the sacrifice a "sacrifice of righteousness". David's grief over his sins warranted this true type of sacrifice.

I see by understanding Bible's teaching, and the comunion with God through The Holy Spirit, and by faith on Jesus's intercetion, that most psalms apply to The Messiah as The second Adam and simultaneously God's Begotten Son. Meaning by that, Who is The messiah and what woud hapen to Him as man, entirely submited to Gosd and dependent on Holy Spirit's Power and protection to resist devil's tentation and seduction lies. Jesus resist using divine Power as sugested by satan. Jesus goes ahead of us, his disciples, and commands : Follow Me, and where I wil go, shall you go, as I am wil you become, what I do shall you do also, and even on a larger scale, into all the world. I send my disciples into the world, men like me, as I am David's son. Christ's total and perfect manwhood, andjustice, from a sinless life, is the ground that allows God, to save us, as He ressurected His Begotten Son, after the aknowledgement of the 24 Elders council, in heaven!

No he is like God. Although God head 3 in 1 can have a interpretation for some father, son(jesus), holy spirit to be 1. God created Jesus and sent his only begotten son to die for our sins because he knew our sin was great but his love was even greater. . So no I would say he's not God for the most part .

Kids nowadays know way more about computers than us. You can learn on YouTube how to restrict what they view. Prevent "sexting". Without a password, they can just undo what you did to it. Hide your password book inside of stinky boots.

Everyone should go into settings and delete other languages you never use. How to, is on YouTube. Be quick on that pause button. :D

The Bible actually has wisdom on foods and food preparation. Of course they didn't have refrigeration. The reason for some restrictions.

I feel sick watching someone eat a steak barely warm and real bloody, yuck.

I don't like over processed foods with too many additives. I make my own breads. Who wants bleach in their flour?

My old doc told me baking soda in water is safer than new stomach meds with their side effects.

The baking soda neutralizes acid and the stomach becomes more alkaline.

Adding a little table sugar to tomato sauces; gas producing vegetables (raw carrots, raw peppers), gets rid of the gas and bloating. I put a half tsp sugar in my ketchup.

Lemon water helps kidneys not make stones or gravel. Good for diabetics too.

My real real old doc (allergy doc) said anything that upsets your stomach badly, you are probably allergic to it. That way you can avoid skin testing for allergies.

    Cinnamon toast is medicinal :D

Pamela, I think this quote, "the lion shall lie down with the lamb' was popularized by the Elvis song, "Peace in the Valley" (a 1937 song written by Thomas Dorsey & sung by many others before Elvis made it hugely popular). I guess if something is said (or, sung) often enough, it is presumed to be biblical, if some connection is made to the actual reference.

Acts 10 v 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power : who went about doing good , and healing all that where oppressed of the devil ; for God was with him . V39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did .

A very fitting verse I read today . The word of God is so wonderful.

Tammy, I don't believe that it's a sin to want to be cremated or for another person to take that decision to do so to the deceased. At least, the Bible doesn't speak of it in those terms. The evidence of cremation is generally seen amongst the heathen, whether for their dead or as part of human sacrifice. Amongst Israel, cremation was not normally done, rather a burial or entombment. Though we do see evidence of cremation in 1 Samuel 31:11-13 (Saul & his sons) & Joshua 7:25 (Achan's sin).

So cremation is one option of dealing with the deceased. In both cases, burial or cremation, the body returns to its former state. It then becomes a matter of how respect is best shown, preservation of the cremains, & of costs associated with it. My preference would, as far as possible, be a burial, in line with biblical practises.
  • Chris - In Reply on Job 14 - 4 years ago
Hi James. Thanks for that clarification. It all depends on whose perspective we adopt. From a human standpoint, I would say that there are degrees of sin that we can commit; one could place murder, rape, or child molestation at the top of our list, with gossip, gluttony, or greed at the bottom end - all depending on the effect our sins would have on others or ourselves.

However, from God's perspective, all of mankind are sinners & culpable because of our thoughts, words or actions resulting from that sin nature within us. So whether the 'worst of sinners' as Hitler & those of his ilk, or 'least of sinners' as one doing a charitable work but for selfish, self-gain motives, all are seen as guilty before an Holy God.

We can think of Jesus' instruction on this in Luke 13:1-5 when He dealt with the gradation of sinners. Were those Galileans who were murdered by Pilate any greater as sinners than others who didn't suffer like them? Or, those who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them & killed them but sparing others living there in Jerusalem - were those who died more sinful than those who were spared? Jesus' answer to them was the same on both counts: "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Jesus' answer was that, 'to God any sin is sin, but it's repentance that makes the difference to God, & under the Cross, God grants us forgiveness & a new life on Earth & in Heaven, in exchange'.

So, as humans having empathy for others, we might grade sins according to their impact & suffering on others, but in God's Eyes, sin (any sin) is unacceptable & deserving of His Punishment ( Romans 6:20-23). But in Jesus there is hope for all.
  • Reply to Job 14 - In Reply on Job 14 - 4 years ago
James All sin is broken fellowship with God, but depending on the type of sin depends on how much you affected.

Example if you would one time get drunk that's sin. But if you decide to continually get drunk now your out of

fellowship affect is much more constant and can lead to early death, while totally negating your fellowship with God.

This can be said for anything out of balance, so its best just endeavor not to because no matter what you will be

spiritually affected and infected so to speak. Also good luck with answer to prayer.

Why does the Psalm say one thing and you ask your question using a synonym for that one word "riches". Don't confuse those who can't be anything but literal. You might be confused with someone trying to twist scripture looks so many do!

Tim Again the word tribulation biblically is or represents mental or spiritual pressure which throughout history

all believers in God endured, but there's coming a time the tribulation period where the age of grace will end

and that time frame will not be pretty.

Catherine One other point biblically speaking I see where jesus christ and God and Holy spirit work for the same

purpose to redeem and deliver mankind from the adversary but I don't see them being the exact entity. Reason

Jesus Christ could do nothing without His Father also only God knows when Jesus Christ will return for His Church.

There are many other scripture in regards to this subject matter.
  • Rick Mentzer - In Reply on Malachi 3 - 4 years ago
Tim Here's my question to you since in the Church Epistle Christians are called saints, I.E. separated by the spirit

of God made the righteousness of God in Christ. According to 1 Corinthians 15:51-54 we are going to be changed

in an instant and have incorruptible bodies like His. Also our sins are forgiven because of the payment of Jesus Christ.

In the book of Revelation the places where saints are mentioned is in reference to the ones separated by holiness and

all positive. We by Gods deliverance through Jesus Christ have been redeemed or bought back by God called to be His

sons and daughters and BORN AGAIN OF INCORRUPTiBLE SEED, His Word when we believed. Since the book of

revelation deals with Jesus Christ return to JUDGE mankind and condemn all unrighteousness the central theme is not

the Church of God. The opening in revelation says to his servants which is what Israel was called to serve God, we in the

church serve our brothers and sisters in Christ and mankind but out relationship spiritually is as sone and daughters. Just

    stating the scripture.

Hi David. Many of the older Bible versions include the Apocryphal Books, including the 1611 KJV. However, since many of those editions are not readily available, & the 1611 KJV uses archaic language, one could try for the Revised Standard Version or Roman Catholic Edition that has the Apocrypha/Deuterocanonical Books included.

But if you just wanted to have a look at Ecclesiasticus online, then this Site offers most of those books here: go to 'More' on the Main Page & go to 'Under KJB Content'.

Who do you expect the second beast of revelation is? I've narrowed down that it is a nation with nukes, as it can rain fire down from heaven (or the heavens) and that it may or may not be landlocked because it is a nation out of land.
  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi Catherine. I think you're referring to what is commonly termed, 'Oneness Pentecostalism', or more familiarly, 'Jesus Only Movement'. That is a particular branch of pentecostalism that is not widely accepted even amongst pentecostals. As you asked, "anyone here Believe "Jesus IS God"?" Many of us here would agree with you with that statement, but I also know that Oneness teaching is that the Triune God is manifested in Heaven as Jesus only - to this most would disagree.

The primary reason for my disagreement would be, that Jesus, whether on Earth or in Heaven, is seen as distinct from His Father - Father God never disappears or is infused in His Son. While on Earth, Jesus always spoke to His Father (John chapter 17 is but one example). And after His Resurrection & Ascension back into Heaven, we read that He is at the Father's right Hand ( Acts 7:55; Colossians 3:1; Luke 22:69; Hebrews 10:12; etc.). So with all these before us in God's Word, it would be difficult to argue for three separate Beings within the Godhead, being found in the one Jesus.

I would be quite happy if you wanted to present your case to show otherwise - you won't be considered a trouble-maker - but a sister who wants to express her belief from the Scriptures & from experience. And the matters of being water baptized only in Jesus' Name and speaking in tongues as evidence of receiving the Holy Spirit, have been discussed at length here as well. To find those discussions, go to the Advanced Search, typing in (e.g. tongues, water baptism) & then click on 'Discussions' - hopefully you'll get an idea of what has been discussed already. And you'll even find some who are in agreement with your understanding of these topics.
