Yes David i was where you are not too long ago! I know I don't deserve Gods mercy or grace. It's a gift. 100%.

I thought I had surely crossed over Gods mercy line! The enemy had almost convinced me that God wanted nothing more to do with me. But he's a liar. I even agreed with the devil. Because I KNEW that I was living a sinful lifestyle. Lukewarm.

God begin to convict me one day and show me scripture like "if you love me you'll keep my Commandments." I kept saying I loved him but I wasn't keeping any of his commandments!

Let God be true and every man a liar& without holiness no man shall see God. Many scriptures The Holy Spirit began to bring to mind and open up my understanding. I knew I had to get myself right with God I knew I was living in sin and I know that even though God is loving & merciful He was not going to wink at my willful sin. I was without excuse. The devil hides the fact that we're still gonna reap what we sow even though God forgives us. The 10 Commandments began to convict me. God allowed me to see myself in the mirror of his word. I was breaking all of the Commandments And calling myself a Christian all the while. I began to desire to get free from things I knew were not right. For example, cigarettes. I knew I couldn't witness and talk to people about God with a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. Some will disagree but I was very convicted about it. I Had to have deliverance and the Lord did it. I laid down what I could and He did the rest.

Turn again to Him with your WHoLE heart. Don't let anybody deceive you and tell you that you can live like the world and still be right with God. Friendship with the world is enmity with God.

I'm working out my own salvation with fear and trembling. I didn't give up on Jesus, to whom would I go? God truly won't leave us or for sake us I see that now.

on Isaiah 11

Isaiah 11:6 should say 'Lion and Lamb' NOT wolf and other changes are also in this book changed by satan it is not the Books of our Lord any more. For those whom want to rebuke or argue about this ......, well I'm sorry you are blinded. For the rest of those seeing this watch for the many changes and follow your heart with a lot of prayers to our Lord for His truth already in your heart. The famine is here, the famine for His Word. Thanks for your response. Respectfully, you are ignoring these simple verses spoken by Jesus:

John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Jesus tells us plainly that "we must be born of water" and "of the Spirit". If not, we CAN NOT enter into the Kingdom of God!

God came down to earth to be born as a person in Jesus, so that he could not only tell us what he expects us to do, but he came to be an example. Jesus didn't need to be baptized, but he did, why, TO SHOW US!

Matthew 3:16-17

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus personally showed us in this scripture above that when we believe, repent, and get baptized, we do receive his Holy Spirit. Jesus probably foresaw that there would be future times that people would question his commands - just like some today that are questioning water baptism. Well, he gives us his "perfect example" of what he wants and commands us to do! Christians can't ignore the above scripture!

Matthew 28:19-20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Jesus says above in addition to baptizing; "observe all things whatsoever I have commanded of you". Jesus tells us that if we follow him - he will be with us always - until the end of the world!

Well, the original post was 2 days ago, and you never responded to the lady's posting, "April" that's why I said these posts are not directed at you. If so, the original reply would have been sent to you. I was expanding on at topic that come up often that I didn't have time to engage in but said I would when time permits.

You posted addressed to me before I ever responded to the post, I gave an "Amen to Brother Jesse post and to Grace post, with the focus on water baptism isn't required for salvation. That was the narrative!

You quoted "I am not saying that water baptism saves. I am saying it is the act of obedience" whether water baptism is out of obedience or for salvation is 2 different narratives and this post was dealing with the salvation issue. Your focus seemed to be on me as I second and supported others in the tread.

And no, you don't have less privilege in posting your viewpoint on the subject because you are new to the site, but your viewpoint should have been addressed to April that way we would have stuck to the narrative, "Does water baptism saves" you said you doesn't believe it does, but you colleagues believe otherwise.

There are some posting in this thread that are content ignoring tons of bible scripture as long as their preconceived salvation narrative of faith+grace and not much else is preached. Many are comfortable ignoring and telling others to ignore Christs (numerous) commands to be baptized in water and follow the commandments, among other things.

Christ tells us to pick up our crosses and follow him!

Today, many twist Pauls words to reflect their misguided salvation message. Paul does not cancel the words spoken by Jesus/God. If you believe that the words of Jesus should be ignored please read this scripture below:

Tim The tribulation your speaking of in Romans 5:3 is the word [thlipsis or mental pressure] because of the

David, I'm so sorry to hear about Jim & his father. I don't understand why some prayers are answered and some aren't. I know that I have been praying for Jim. I don't know his fathers name but I send my deepest condolences. I have been praying for Gary also. Let us not be discouraged but may we instead press in and pray with more fervency for one another. Maybe some of you more seasoned brethren can address why our prayers don't always get answered.
