1:17 That the Father of that infinite glory which shines in the face of Christ, from whom also we receive the glorious inheritance, # Eph 1:18|, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation - The same who is the Spirit of promise is also, in the progress of the faithful, the Spirit of wisdom and revelation; making them wise unto salvation, and revealing to them the deep things of God. He is here speaking of that wisdom and revelation which are common to all real Christians.
People's Bible Notes for Ephesians 1:17
Eph 1:17 That. This introduces the things for which he prayed God in their behalf. The Father of glory. The source of all spiritual glory. Give unto you the Spirit of wisdom. A gift of the Spirit. See PNT " 1Co 12:8". Divine wisdom works wisdom in believers. And revelation in the knowledge of him. The Spirit that reveals a knowledge of God and spiritual mysteries. This Spirit would enable them to better comprehend the "mystery" of God, the divine plans for human redemption in a better knowledge of him.
God and second answer is simply yes Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
We are saved by faith in the mrits of Jesus's blood, and a repented heart to receive the Holy Spirit, through God's Mercy.
Like a mariage's cerimony, the baptism has a spiritual symbolism, and is a public recognition of God's acceptance of church's authority, to accept a new member of Jesus's spiritual body, which is the believers's communion.
the santificaton is the work of The Holy Spirit, through faith and by walking on The way that Jesus walked, folowing His exemple. There's no man who doesn't sin, that's why we allways remember, Jesus continuous intercession in Heaven, and repent ouselves again, repair and reemburse the one we ofended and ask God's forgiveness, resist devil's temptation, through prayer, nourishing ourselves on the word of God, and keep an humble, calm and undivided heart towards God, and fasting often, because this kind of demons, as Jesus advertised His disciples, aren't expelled unless we resist with all our strengh, effort and commitment to obey God's word, and focus our mind on the submission to The Holy Spirit. We can overcome sin, only by these means appointed by The Divine Master. men! As Jesus's disciples, we are suposed to persist walking on a close fellowship and togetherness with Jesus, through the assistance of The Holy Spirit and angels's ministry, in believers's comunion, fighting the Faith's good fight, to remain on Jesus's good works and exemple, by faith on Jesus's FAITH. ALELUIA! Maranata!
1. there are two comings of the lord yahshua after his ascension.
2. they are the 2.1 the rapture of his churches, and 2.2 the second coming.
3. at the second coming, he will return to earth as king yahshua at exactly the same place that he ascended to heaven.
4. at the second coming, he will be coming down from heaven to earth together with all of those who were rapture earlier.
therefore, when yahshua said that...he will come again to recieve us to himself...this cannot be the second coming but the rapture of the churches of yahshua hamashiach. if we were to come down to earth with him, how can he be recieving us??
sceptics and even christians have asked the question: "how can the rapture be true when jesus himself did not say anything about the rapture??"
i am not a theologian but i do believe that the the lord yahshua/yeshua/jesus/yesus/iesous was referring to the rapture of his churches in john 14:3!
halleluyah..... maranatha.

Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, Amen
God Bless u and yours and have a Merry Christmas
AS far as your Question concerning Jesus being the Son of God. Yes, He is the Father's Son. The Father's son existed for all eternity with the Father and the Holy Spirit, One in essence, but three in persons. When the Son also became flesh in and was born Jesus, He was both the eternal Son of God and the Son of Man (who had a human beginning) united in the same Person of Jesus. Jesus was fully human and fully God and will remain as such forever. This is classical Christian teaching going back to the apostles. I recommend the site forgottenchristianityDOTcom under the subject of the Trinity. The author gives a very good and reasonably understood explanation of this.
Thanks for asking this question.
So sorry to here about the flooding in Oman. I will be praying for these people. They need Jesus, so may God send the truth of the Gospel through believers who are sent to reach and help these people during their troubles. Lord, may aid get there quickly so that many will be spared. Amen.
I can't believe it. I don't want to believe it
is Jesus Christ the son of God?
Matthews 24
38. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
[Who were eating and drinking? The unrighteousness!]
39. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[Verse 38 clearly identifies the subject as the unrighteous. Verse 39 continues with the main subject (the unrighteous) being taken away.
Here is the Basic English translation:
And they had no care till the waters came and took them all away; so will be the coming of the Son of man.
- Basic English Bible
New International Version
and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
[Obviously Noah knew about the impending danger so it must be referring to the unrighteous being taken away.]
Finally re-examine Matthews 13, the good seeds and the rates.
Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field."
37 He answered and said to them: "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one.
39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.
40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age.
41 The Son of Man will send out His angels,
and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend,
[Gather out the bad]
and those who practice lawlessness,
42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
It's the unrighteous that are taken away.
God bless all of you!
Everyone all over this planet is suffering, afraid, maybe billions homeless, children included.
Your mercy has to include everyone. God has given You, one to help. I was in street ministry and we must know PRACTICALLY, where to take someone to get help.
There are ministries in place, to help the displaced. Call a church and see if you can get information for people who need help. Call them all. Call your city government and ask for info.
Some people like me donate funds to organizations that help the homeless. At times I've driven people to where the help is.
Complaining is just a lot of hot air if they are NOT helping in the problems directly. Most Catholic Churches have feeding or grocery ministries. Let's make some donations to those who are actually doing something. God sees our hearts. It's not good to be stingy.
If you think my response is callous, then look at some of those youtube sites I listed. Most all of those disasters happened This Year!
The nation of Philippines was almost wiped out the past 2 days. 500 thousand homes destroyed to the ground. A million+ displaced.
Help your friend. If God brings us ONE to care for, then He will repay you personally for being available. If not for 30 years of street ministry, I wouldn't know these things. Jesus said the poor will always be with us. (I know he was speaking of the Bridegroom).
Everyone needs to rethink their criticisms about outreach ministries. I know of street preachers who have included Feeding the homeless to their resume. An offering is OVER the Tithe; an offering to the Lord. He's going to repay: money, healing, favor at work. Have some Faith. Take care of His lambs.
Breathing flames and scriptures helps no one, if they're starving and cold, homeless. Let's Dig Into Our Pockets. Turn to "The Church". Make some calls today. I pray for God to direct you and bless you.
I realize I am new to this site and I am beginning to understand the "culture" more and more as time goes on and the more I post and read what is posted. I can say that I think, in regards to many who have responded to me, I am somewhat of an "outlier". But even, so, I came to this to read and study the Bible in this translation since I have read it from a handful of other translations over the years. I did not know there was a comment section when I started. So, with that said, I do think that the Lord led me here for a reason, and commenting here is part of that, as well as being a discerning and good "listener" to others who post. I appreciate what others have to say. I am one who loves vigorous conversation about spiritual things. It makes us stronger believers and more solid in our faith and doctrines. It also fills us with awe of God, how He is so gracious to us to "bend" low to help us little, teensy creations of His in comparison to His limitless vastness, power, wisdom, and authority. Praise be to Him who calls us "His beloved"!
who endeavor to walk by the spirit as much as is in them to do and walk in the great Agapeo or renewed mind
love of God. God can only give spiritual wisdom and revealed knowledge of His Son as we walk in that love of
God in Christ because it is literally revealed knowledge given by God through Christ who lives in us. As we put
the scriptures on in the mind and walk in that faith of Christ he shows us more and more spiritually as needed.
look at Ephesians 3:16-21 and have some inspirational fun. Look at the amount of Times IN Christ is used in
This epistle that's how God views us spiritually. Ephesians 1:3 we have already been blessed with all spiritual
blessings in heavenlies, that gets the spiritual blood pumping. As believers in His Eyes were spiritually perfect!
