Hellfire is something that takes place at the end of this world, and not at death. John 5:28,29; Matthew 13:40. In it, soul and body are completely destroyed. Matthew 10:28; 2 Thess 1:9. It will consume the wicked into ashes. Revelation 20:9; Malachi 4:1-3; Psalm 37:20. Even the devil will be consumed to ashes. Ezekiel 28:18,19; Isaiah 47:14.
In the new earth, when all sin has been eradicated, there will be no more suffering or pain or death. Revelation 21:4.
His Word because His Word is His will.
Yahweh says that he will make everything new. There will be no more darkness. The Holy City itself will be compact. I think there will be houses, land, and animals that are not within the Holy City itself.
There is and always will be God Father, God the Son, and God The Holy Spirt. They are each eternal and work in perfect accord.
It seems like some translations that call it Nephilim because they made a decision to leave the word roughly as it sounds in Hebrew. But translated is 'giants'. So, I'm not sure if you're against the N word or the concept of there being giants or something else. But this interpretation doesn't appear to be out of thin air and does legitimately appear in scripture:
Genesis 6:1-7
God bless
clothes a specific sign indicating that indeed who they saw was the Son of God. In the east a male child born
of royalty for a few minutes is wrapped with legs and arms straight to covering everything but the mouth and
nose to breath in a 2-3" clothe that has salt water in it indicating that the child's words would be pure and would walk uprightly before God. So the shepherds showed up at the exact correct time to see this event, Gods timing is
always perfect.
I had peace with my Dads death. But when my mother died I was conflicted for a time just because of the way my family acted. I was in a state of exhaustion taking care of her and babysitting my toddler grandson 5 days a week, for 3 years.
My son and niece took my mother to her house; it was for to be 1 week. Long story short, my mother died there. They wanted to think they did good, but I was angry at their plotting.
I let go and let God work this out.
I kept it to myself, but I prayed to God on behalf of my mom and me. Not to her. It was a bad time because everyone thought their ideas were best. Strong personalities, you know? My son thought I'd be happier if I moved to a different place. I did just to get away from
Mismanagement and those who "think they know better, what's best." I lived through losing 2 brothers to drugs, my Dads death from Alzheimer's, and my Mother to dementia; within 5 years.
I weathered it. The Lord is my Comforter. I'm well, happy and get to minister every day now.
My parents are in heaven and that makes this easier.
Try to be more Spirit led when assessing how others should grieve. They're hurting with loss. The Bible says to cry with those who cry. Not in a morose way, but in "arms around". Laugh with those who are laughing.
Blessed Christmas. Peace, Mishael
answers one of your questions. Whats outside the new Jerusalem.
I've really been missing Sister Sacha. Please send my love to Sacha and family. I pray for her return soon! I, and I'm sure others here, really miss her wit, humor, and great heartfelt commentary, along with her wonderful biblical knowledge.
God bless.
That's good that you are seeking the truth in the scriptures. You may consider praying and asking God for wisdom in regards to your questions.
The topic of Jesus and God has been frequently discussed in these forums. You can probably find them by doing an advanced search for those keywords.
If I understand one of your questions correct its if Jesus is God how why did He pray to Himself? And how can you be separate, but one at the same time? I think these questions conflate a few things. In our world we don't have anything similar to what is described in the Bible and try to make sense of it in human terms, but unfortunately in attempting to do so, often the truth of God's Word is then distorted and can turn into false teaching. Basically, I put my trust in God's word and believe what it says. I believe what it says instead of what a human being says. If someone preaches something other than what it says, I don't believe them.
1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
How "one" are they and how "three" are they? We don't know, but it says the three are one so I believe it. If a man says the "three are three" that is untrue, because that's not what Bible says. If a man says "only one is one" and the other two are not "one", that is also untrue, because that's not what the Bible says.
Genesis 1:26 "And God said, Let us make man in our image"
"Let us" is plural, more than one.
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
"The Word was God."
It says Jesus is the Word in verse 14, so the Bible says Jesus is God.
If it says it then I choose to believe it, even though I don't 100% comprehend how the 3 is 1 and 1 is 3 simultaneously.
Philippians 2:5-8 "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:"
"form of"
"equal with"
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21
And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into (heaven) Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23
And in hell he lift up his eyes, BEING IN TORMENTS, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26
And beside all this, between us and you there is a GREAT GULF FIXED: so that they which would pass from here to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from there.
27
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28
For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. (Hell)
29
Abraham saith unto him, They have (the Law of) Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. (In the Bible)
30
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. (Jesus)
This story shows that the rich man is conscious, can feel pain, thirst and terror for, still alive; unsaved friends and relatives.
We can miss those who've passed on. We can voice our feelings to them, forgive them for hurting us; or us hurting them. They're not going to hear us.
