    Hi GiGi.

We respond to the prayer request with prayer as you do. Some by praying immediately, Some acknowledge and vow to pray, And Some just pray immediately

"Private or silently". God hears the prayer of faith, From the Heart.

However that is a great suggestion to check on those requesting prayer. And also to follow up, I think it's excellent, and EVERYTHING that is meant for great functionality in the Church should apply on this site also.

    God bless.

Amen, a few minutes ago I just read that in James 1:5 so it's interesting that I now see your comment. I find that everything about my day goes better if I'm intentional about asking God for help and wisdom on knowing how to handle things. It's like having access to a superpower, but its somehow easy to forget. Sometimes our burden can be lightened if we just ask in faith.

Brother, I don't believe it's a reluctance to understand because I would understand that most of us here do believe in water baptism & it's importance. It's a matter of understanding that encounter with Nicodemus, whether water baptism was the applicable answer to give him or whether Jesus inferred that a man's regeneration involved not only a physical birth (that Nico was affixed on), but also a spiritual birth.

As well, if one believed that regeneration can only happen when both spiritual birth & water baptism took place, then that passage would agree to that belief. Conversely, for those who don't subscribe to that (as I shared previously about any work added to faith, then John 3 has a different meaning. Blessings.

I think that Satan is very wiley and has promoted these beliefs in a queen of heaven and a child, and other beliefs such as Isis, Osiris, and Horus and the resurrecting god, etc. to be an imitation of the real plan of God and draw as many away from the true God as possible. But we as Christians bring the truth to bear on these false belies and shine the light of truth to expose their darkness.

Even so, I don't think we really know just how these ancient people practiced their rituals or beliefs, so I don't think that having a birthday cake or a Christmas tree equates to these rituals.

Hi Charlotte when I have biblical questions I do trust this site as pretty accurate in most of its answers got questions.org is a good site to gain knowledge from , but in the end Its prayer and the contemplation of the Bible , we are NOT saved by our good works I know that, we are saved by His undeserved Kindness = Grace, and in His Precious blood which we have faith in to save us and The Godman Christ Jesus.

This knowledge that we ARE SAVES aught to lead the believer to produce good works though , though works in themselves , are not necessary I dont think for salvation . We should all FEEL the need to produce good works if we can , its like getting up for the days works. we want to make our employers happy with us , much moreso our God :) !

    gotquestions dot org

Got questions also has a very comprehensive you tube channel They say Got questions ? the Bible has answers , and we'll help you fiind them , they have a smaller channel too called Bible Munch

The Website is non denominational to my knowledge .

I am trying to do a better job of going to the prayer request section to pray for those who are sharing their prayer needs with us. I checked it a week or so ago and noticed that so many requests did not have a response from anyone yet. So, along with me, please consider making a commitment to checking this the prayer request section first before going to the discussion section. If many of us will take the time to respond to 10 or so requests a day that have not been responded to, we can keep up on these in a timely way. This is such a good thing we can do for one another, probably more so than even joining a discussion thread sometimes. So I am just encouraging others to help. That way, I will be spurred on to stay on it as well. I just hate to read a request that needed a timely prayer and it was not prayed for and responded to.

Thanks for rewording your question. The works we do for God are not what we do in hopes of gaining salvation. Salvation is all of grace and God working in us. The works we do for God are our obedience to Him out of love for Him and worship of Him. This obedience is all the good we do in our lives for others and within ourselves to walk according to the Spirit of God. These works do not earn us anything before God, they are our offerings to Him that arise from our gratitude for all e has done and continues to do in and for us. These works can be summed up in the phrase "a life lived for God and His glory."

Well said, we should remind ourselves and others often about this.

Dear all, Very soon Christmas and New Year will come. A time for reflection and gratitude.

Here on the web site we still talking about things that happened 2000 years ago: D. Do not get me wrong, many want clarity.

But I want to emphasize that the best thing all of us can do is: Get your own understanding of who God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit are and read KJV yourself. He is the best teacher. He is the best teacher. Although many have wisdom, we can only encourage one another to walk the path. Then we can hope that we have found the right path. For the road is narrow. We are not adults before we are with the Lord any of us.

Am so glad for u all here, ill miss Englich Sacha and Earl Bowman, ill hope they are well and soon come back too the web. We are all branches on His tree. Never forget that, you! We dont need too think about yesterday. But i do not deliver the word ill get so it comes here: John 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

24 For John was not yet cast into prison.

25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

30He must increase, but I must decrease.

And the too the end of the chapter. God bless and merry Christmas too your all.

You are right inn some ways here, Glenn. Yet, I don't think any of us are being unkind nor trying to one-up one another. We are just getting "meaty" in our discussions. Some may not care for that "menu". I understand. But I feel that we all love Jesus and each other here on this forum. The fact that some of us have a strong way of wording our ideas does not mean that one is being unkind. Anyone who reads Paul's epistles can see ow strongly he worded things, but it was all in love. That is where we come from here.

Yes, Bro Dan, If we walk by the Spirit we will not satisfy the desires of the flesh (Gal.5:16-18), which means we will obey what God has told us to do or avoid what he as prohibited, and especially not have a prideful, rebelliousness that resists the Spirit wo calls us to be obedient, godly, holy children of God.

Yep, Adam, It amazing me how people fail to take into account the full counsel of God on matters, but focus just on their take on a certain point of view they wish to maintain while ignoring so much else that is said in Scripture. We all can fall into this mindset easily. I try to look at a topic from many angles from Scripture so that I am "seeing" things from a good standpoint. I am well aware of Paul's teaching about justification through faith and not through the law and what is meant by the Law of Grace. We live in a society now that knows no shame for the disobedient ways they live, yet even these people know that Christians are to live lives of obedience to God. When I talk to unbelievers, their objection to receiving the gospel is rarely that they do not believe in God, nor a lack of awareness of their own sin. Their objection is more often stated that it is because Christians are such hypocrites. Therefore, if we hope to be convincing in our witness of the gospel we ought to also be convincing about the changed way we live, not rebellious against God or His moral commands, but utilizing this wonderful grace and the influence of the indwelling Spirit to live holy and godly lives in this wicked generation.

Jesus, that we no longer live by the flesh, but by the Spirit, who's goal is to change us bit by bit to be like Jesus, who always did the will of the Father.

Rick, I know we will continue to disagree on this matter, and I am ok with that. We have both had a lot to say on this matter and I feel that we have both presented good points. I don't over think these things anymore than the apostle Paul did or many of the early church fathers who thought deeply and thoroughly on such topics to be able to give a reasoned account. That is what I have done. It may satisfy some and others, not. I just pray that the Spirit will use our conversations to produce understanding in both of us in such a way to allow us to apply the truth of this matter.

Rick, There have been "laws" from God in all ages since Adam and Eve. Commands and laws are spoken interchangeably to refer to the Law of Moses and so therefore, any command of God is a "law".

God commanded Adam and Even to not eat from the tree of Knowledge of good and evil. This was a one time "law".

God gave Noah commands after the flood. These were "laws" for all mankind. God gave Abraham a command to sacrifice Abraham. This was a one time "law". Abraham knew He was to obey God, and he did and his obedience demonstrated his faith in God.

God wrote the 10 commandments with His own "finger" for Moses and these were "laws" for all time.

Jesus gave stated that to be saved one needs to believe and be baptized, and commanded His disciples to baptize all who believer. This was a "law" for all of the church for all time. He told His disciples that those who love Him will keep His commands, (again laws).

I do not despise the words "laws" or "commands". Unbelievers and evil doers do. Nor do I despise obeying the moral commands of God. Unbelievers and evil doers do. Grace did not change our obligation to obey God in the commands He gave us, especially those given by Jesus in the gospels. Nor did it change how God deals with mankind, as you imply. What changed is that grace is given to those God chooses to save. This grace regenerates us, creates faith in us to believe, cleanses us from our sins, and allows the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, having been made holy. This grace sanctifies us and empowers us to say "no" to ungodliness and "yes" to what is what God says is the right thing to do. ( Titus 2:11-14) ( Titus 3:4-7) (1 Thess.4:1-2) ( Gal. 6:7-10) (Rom.7:22-25) Without grace, we would all remain enemies of God. But grace brings us God' redemption in

Hallo dear "Ryan". God is Spirit as u know. This day i read in peace from Acts 8:33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth.

34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

    Amen.

How quickly things can happen when we turn too the Lord, He delivers whoever it may be. Be blessed in His Holy Name Jesus Christ and have a very merry Christmas with Him that understand everything.
