Amen! I let Jesus know that He can take my life and do what He wants with it, but my boyfriend, Daniel, has trouble with anxiety and thinks that Jesus doesn't want to talk to him when he's anxious. I think i heard Jesus' voice telling me that he will be born again, so i hope that will bring him closer to Him!

    Thank you for your prayer!

  • Catholic Sacrament rules Founded Upon Scripture? - 4 years ago
Hi. I was baptized into the Catholic Church as a baby, but no longer attend Mass. Two weeks ago I did go

with a friend, and I went up for communion. A Catholic friend of mine later told me that the custom in the

Church is that you must first go to confession with a priest before taking communion. Is that practice based

    on anything in Scripture?

Hello, I believe you got it backwards. 1 Corinthians 11:14-15
  • Rick - In Reply - 4 years ago
Failure No but the question is since Jesus Christ led what ever Captivates or drives our natural man captive

obviously you need to Go to God for self control deliverance in this part of your life style. Therefore to be healed

youneed to make up your mind to believe because in Christ its already been done. Faith was Gods Part through

Christ Jesus, believing is action on what has already been given in the Gift of Holy Spirit.

Hi Dusty. Both GiGi & Rick have, I believe, written well from their perceptions of this (& other passages). If I might add to it.

Paul's instruction to (Pastor) Timothy was for the administering of the Church, both in his own conduct & the conduct of those that meet each Lord's Day. How people, whether brothers or sisters, share with others (in Bible Study, Sunday School, Youth Group, witnessing, counselling, etc.) outside the main gathering of the Church was entirely up to them with the Lord's leading - there should be no constraints. But while gathered together before the Lord, even to sharing around the Lord's Table, order & propriety are essential.

For this reason, elders (for policy, direction, leadership & teaching) & deacons (helpers) were appointed. There were no women elders; though women could fill deacon-type positions in their support of the work. Pastoral work which was primarily a shepherding role, could in a sense, be filled by both men & women, as women could rightfully shepherd other sisters or youth. However, today, the Pastor fills the position of the main leader/preacher/teacher - whom we should rightfully (biblically) refer to as the 'leading Elder'. So this position, before the congregation, can only be filled by a man - and this order is not because of a pre-disposition of setting women at a lower level, but of scriptural warrant from the order of creation ( 1 Corinthians 11:3 ff).

In those early days, both men & women were highly dependent on Church leaders to teach them from the Word & help for Christian living. Nowadays, both men & women can be equally proficient with the Word & quite capable to expound it to others. But for the sake of propriety within God's Plan for the Church, it's best to stay with what is given in the Word, no matter how unreasonable it may sound in today's context of equality & abilities in biblical knowledge & use of spiritual Gifts.

    Bob,

You are welcome. I don't think anyone knows the exact date that Mary gave birth to Jesus, but it was not December 25th. As far as when He died (was crucified), here is where I got the April 6th 32 A.D. date. This is not a date I came up with on my own. I was taught this during a bible study, I later researched it out on my own, and I came up with this same date.

But it comes from the book of Daniel Chapter 9 which talks about the 70 weeks. In Daniel Chapter 9 Verses 24 to 27, it says that there will be 7 sevens and then 62 sevens. In 7 sevens, they will build the wall and begin to lay the foundation in Jerusalem under trying times. It took them 49 years, 7 sevens.

And then 62 sevens. And Daniel's prophecy says from the time of the going forth of the command to rebuild Jerusalem until the time of the coming Prince when He is cut off, (His crucifixion), is 69 sevens or 483 years.

The decree went out in March 14th 445 B.C. which is recorded for us in Nehemiah Chapters 2 and 3. You can check that out if the Lord leads you to do so. So 483 years later would be 173,880 days, which was the exact day in which Jesus rode into Jerusalem which is what we see in Luke.

Luke mentions the fact that when Jesus rode into Jerusalem and wept over Jerusalem, He told them that "If you had only known this (your day), you would not have rejected me." So if somebody had a calendar going, they would have said "Hey, today is 173,880 day. Messiah is supposed to be here!" But they missed it, and Jesus rode into Jerusalem. So that brings us to April 6, 32 A.D. when the Lord died.

So far in prophetical history, we have had 69 weeks (483 years). And those 483 years ended at the crucifixion of Christ on April 6th, 32 A.D.

You have a Merry Christmas also.

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray you will give me strength and wisdom to get my two young daughters back in church. I have a daughter that's 23 and a son that is 13. I know they are saved by your grace. It's my duty that my 5 and 6 year old daughters know your grace also. I would also like to ask for prayer for my granddaughter she is 5 years old. Sh e has a very rare condition that Is caused by fluid on the brain. The doctors at UNC Chapel Hill N.C. told us she would only be with us for a very short while after birth. She battles every day with struggles. Lord please touch her and heal her if it be you will I pray in Jesus name Amen. And thank you for saving me!
  • Dr. Lyle Lee on Galatians 4 - 4 years ago
Galatians 4:21-31 Here the Apostle Paul takes five shadows and typologies in order to create an allegory, he used Abraham to represent God the Father, the two wives Hagar and Sarah to represent the two covenants, the old covenant which is the Ten Commandments in stone and the new covenant, which is the Ten Commandments in the heart. The two children Ishmael and Isaac, represent the two children of God, the first born son of Abraham represents God's first born son Israel, and the second born son of Abraham, represents God's second born son Christianity. Then does the Apostle Paul refer unto the prophecy of Isaiah concerning the two woman, the married woman is Israel, who was married to God, yet did not have as many children as the baron woman, which is Christianity, who is engaged to God, she has more children. Then he turns his attention to Christians who obey the Ten Commandments in stone and teaches their mother is Hagar, the old covenant, yet the prophecy will be fulfilled spiritually, as the old covenant, Hagar and her son, all those who obey the Ten Commandments inb stone shall be cast out of the millennial kingdom of heaven and will not reign with the Lord Jesus Christ or the Christians who obeyed the Ten Commandments in the heart, having Sarah as their mother.

Generally I find programs on TBN and such channels to be wrong teaching, like pushing prosperity gospel and the idea that God is just a genie in a bottle there to serve you- almost becoming self-worship and making everything about serving yourself rather than you serving God. I generally think it does more harm than good and think it just gives people another reason to push God away. That is my impression based on the programs I've seen.

However, I recently saw a Bible study program on TV by Les Feldick who I never heard of before, but thought it was excellent and refreshing. He seemed to go deep into the word and was based on scripture substance and not mere feelings and opinion. I only saw part of one program so I cant make any sweeping statements about him, but the content I did see was excellent and maybe could be found online somewhere.

No mention at all in wesleys notes of the sundial,

And "ALL" is not written in THE WORD OF GOD !

Father of LIGHTS! The light that LIGHTETH every man...

    This is not ALL LIGHTS.

interpretation in self is always selfish.

And there is no private interpretation.

Howbeit when He, The Spirit of Truth is come, He shall guide us into all truth, for He shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak, and He will show you things to come.

Truth be with you and bring you to His paths of righteousness , for His Glorious names sake, The a mighty and high name of CHRIST JESUS

What is this talk in the news about the Noahide Laws and the 'One-World-Religion? I don't remember hearing about them in Sunday School!!! We had the 10 commandments, which people seem to have trouble keeping, which leads to everlasting damnation, so Jesus came to pay for our sins because he loved us so much. So Why are we now hearing about this Laws that were given to Noah, especially since he went on at least one total "bender, and made a complete jerk out of himself" and subsequently laid a curse on at least one of his own sons!!??
