Hi Micheline My personal best example of this is when my wife and I lived in florida we lived next to

a professed witch and shaman which is someone who believes they have an animal spirit living in them

that's one definition. There were a few occasion where they invited us to break bread and we graciously

said no because its one thing to eat with someone that doesn't believe. It's an entirely different situation

to break bread knowing where they were coming from. It's one thing for God to cover what you don't know

its another going against what you already know.

1 Corinthians 10:21 we are already aware what not to do so doing it just is going against God.

Verse 31 If I'm invited to eat a meal and find out it was handled in an idolatrous practice don't eat, not that

your effected but in his mind he may question your belief! We know God will cover and the earth is the Lords.

So we are no longer judged but they not knowing will be confused. This is walking In The Love of God. Then

perhaps a door will be open to share the Gospel. Someone may comment on this better.

Our own spirits testify it's wrong unless there is real danger of harm towards the child/children.

Cases of injustice : Ecclesiastes: 5:8,

In the case of violence : Psalms 140:1,

Ephesians: 6:1, (how can a child obey a parent in the LORD if alienated?) Colossians 3:20,

This scripture might also be fitting for the situation. GOD knows all.

    Romans 1:28-31

    Encouragement :

    Luke 18:27-30

    Hopefully these are helpful.

    Dear Newell,

Are you asking about a particular book in the Bible? Then can you name it? Or are you talking about each book in the Bible?

Absolutely David! Those are wise words. I need to stay focused on God's presence in this situation, but also where He wants me to be in measured space - not just for me and my family, but for the neibor and their space needed for God to abound with His works and peace. Thank you for the firm and wise reminder!

    GIGI,

We know God communicated with Joseph and turned the bad his brothers did too good, and to save the twelve tribes of Israel. I do not believe God communicated through a silver cup to Joseph but in Egypt, at that time they used cups or basins with water for divination (hydromancy), the cup was considered sacred.

That is why it is worded "whereby indeed he divineth". That was why it was so important for the men sent to retrieve the cup. With all the things God did through Joseph, the Egyptian's probably thought the cup was how he did it. We know that was not the case. Hydromancy is still done today; it is like reading tea leaves. Nostradamus did this over a basin, dark stuff.

    God bless,

Hi, I have a question concerning 1 Corinthians 10, 21, 30. Can you assess the passage for my understanding. Thank you.
  • Rick - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hi Cheryl If God has not given man freedom of will then He could have stopped Adam and Eve in the garden

of Eden from eating the fruit, that's proof that God is not a control freak also He knows His Enemy does nothing

but steal kill and destroy John 10:9 so why didn't he Just wipe Him out immediately. because God is just and works

within the framework of His word. That's why in the gospels numerous places Jesus Christ walked through situations

because His time was not yet. When He gave up I.E. did the Fathers will by His freedom of will, I lay down my life

and He was the greatest example of how the true God operates. Even in dealing with people they had to by freedom

will make up their mind to believe. Remember the true God works by Inspiration His Word, the enemy works by

manipulation of Gods Word. Gods words have already won through Christ!

    Dear David,

God knows the situation. He will bring fruit from your witness in this man. I am sure he as been thinking about your last conversation during these covid times. You planted, someone else may water, and God gives the increase.

Lord, I pray for this man that David has cared for as family. May your Word enliven him to eternal life in these his last years here in this life. Cause him to really consider how he wises to spend eternity so that he will come to realize that spending it with You is the best ever offer! We ask that David will once again be able to see this man and spend time with him as often as can be allowed. In your holy name, Jesus. Amen

    Dear Grace,

I am sad that your contact with your daughter and grandson is limited. that is hard for us Moms to lose connections with our children. My son are not really interactive with us either. They are establishing their own life apart from us, and that is normal to a point. They are getting better at responding to phone calls and messages.

I am glad that your grandson is now taking antibiotics. I am sad to hear that your daughter is in a difficult and unhealthy situation. I will keep them in my prayers.

Dear Jesus, we lift up grace's daughter and grandson. Keep them safe from any harm that this man may wish to do to them. Provide a way out for her and her son so that they can re-establish their home in a healthy, safe way.

Please repair the relationship between Grace and her daughter. Break down the barriers that divide them and defeat the enemy that is at work in this situation. Thank you for the believing heart you have grown in Grace. Open up her daughter's heart to hear from You through Grace that she may turn to You if faith and love. In Your precious, glorious name, Jesus. Thank you.

Yes, I will pray for your "H" key situation! Sometimes I catch myself saying don't trouble the Master. But I thank God He already knows! It's a love thing :-)

    Hi

I never went into the "ho, ho, ho" part of it. I did not want to lie to my kids and thus compromise my witness to them. So we did without gifts from "Santa". We told them that we give them these gifts because we love them, just like God gave us Jesus because He loves us. As our sons got into young adults, we stopped with the wrapped gifts. Instead we give them a money gift for them to use as they wish. I got tired of having to return and exchange things that I bought for them when they were teens. They are happy with the money gift. It helps them to choose something they really desire or need. Eliminating the gift buying took a big load off me .Instead, we put money together as a family to help a charitable cause. It freed me up to spend time with family and friends in more meaningful ways. Unfortunately, now that families have grown up and expanded, we do not get together as often as when our kids were young and growing up. The time we get together during holiday times is important, as it is one of the few times a year that we all get together just a few who may not be in attendance. heir own.

Year by year, we are scaling back from all the hoopla of Christmas. My heart wishes to magnify Christ at this time. e is the light that overcomes the darkness. Even if pagans used the date to worship idols, we can choose to worship Jesus and point others to Him at this time. So in this way, we sanctify the date and take it back from the evil one.

But as several of you have implied, pagan is pagan, and there should not be mixing of such practices with Christian practices.

    Sherri,

Ephesians 5:25-29 says "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;"

What is he saying? Christ sacrificed Himself for the spiritual wellbeing of the church. As a Christian man, if you're going to get married, your life is a sacrifice to make sure your wife and your children get to the word and the things of Christ. The comparison is that even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.

There are two things listed. First, in verse 26, it says "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." That's what Jesus did so that's what I'm to do. And secondly in Verse 27, "That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

How much of a spiritual concern do we men have for our families and for our wives, that one day she'll stand before the Lord? Will she be complete? And then the conclusion in verse 28, "So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself." Uh Oh! He that loves his wife loves himself.

Verse 29 says "For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:" In case you haven't noticed that about men, we like to be men, you know? But no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourishes it and cherishes it, even as the Lord does the church:

In 1 Peter chapter 3, it speaks about wives being in submission to their husbands. But husbands are also to submit to their wives as we see in 1 Peter 3:7. The reason I say this is because the first word in verse 7 says "likewise." So as the wife is to be in submission to her husband, likewise, the husband also is to be with the wife. For the believer, submission is never between two people. There's always three. We are to submit to one another in the Lord! If the other person is out of line, the we are to remain in submission to Christ!

Thank You Jesus ! Hallelujah! Yay!!! (Happy dance)

Thank you David for being faithful to bring your requests here. You make me want to bring my family here they have so many needs. I pray that everybody here would hold them up in prayer my struggling children, their spousal situations, my grandchildren. One is extra lost But they all need Jesus to step in to the room.

Thank you for bringing your praise report! I seem to recall somewhere in the Bible Jesus healed 10 but only one came back to praise Him and He asked where are the other nine? So just remember that every time somebody testifies there are nine others that didn't! Where are they? Come and testify you nine!

I will continue to hold your needs up in prayer each time I see them! To God be ALL the glory.
