Verses 14 to 17 show that Moses' law, written by handwriting about holy days, sabbaths (not THE SABBATH) have been nailed to the Cross. They were only a 'shadow.' God's Law, written with the finger of God, remains to be obeyed forever. Jesus said He did not come to destroy God's law. Distinguishing between the 2 types of law is necessary to understand the Gospel. We are called to obey God not to be saved but because we love God and want to please Him. Be wary of minister wolves that claim the law is not valid anymore. John 14:15: 'If you love me, keep my commandments.' See Rev 22:14 showing that those who keep His commandments have right to the tree of life and may enter into the gates of New Jerusalem. Study His word yourself and do not be deceived. We all will face our Creator individually. It will be no excuse that our church misled us.

    Hi Dean,

This is such a prevalent problem, even among believers. I have determined to not gossip myself and to remove myself from situations when gossip is likely to occur. At work, I avoided the staff room, or standing around talking with co-workers. If the person you are dealing with is a family member or friend it is more difficult to avoid gossip because so many people think that it is just getting caught up on news. It can be hard to distinguish between hearing out someone's concern for others and giving an outlet for gossip. Praying before talking if you know you will be meeting this person or talking on the phone is helpful.

Any way you can respectfully limit what information you give the one who is prone to gossip is a good stop gap. If the person is a believer, ask to pray about the person or situation that they share with you. You can try to make opportunities to read God's word together, thus focusing your conversation on the things of God instead of the juicy bits one can say about others.

Hope you receive more suggestions. A gossiper needs love, affirmation, and often times something better to do with their time. Be the person to bring these things to him or her, if possible.

    Dear Tony,

You have suffered great losses in your family members in such a sort time. I am sorry for your loss and will pray for you. I pray that You God, the God of all comfort will comfort you today and every day that you are sorrowful. I pray that the Spirit will help you overcome your sense of loss and your propensity to use drugs and alcohol. Lord Jesus, deliver Tony from these substances and the power behind the dependency. Direct people to Tony who can help him in this battle and direct Tony away from anyone who will lead him to stumble in his daily walk in sobriety and faith in you. I am thankful, Lord that you draw near to the brokenhearted and those wo can not help themselves overcome their troubles. Only You are able to completely defeat what is warring with Tony. We trust you to accomplish this great deliverance in Your Holy Name, Jesus Christ.

    DOES GOD LOVE HIS ENEMIES

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be children of the Highest: for he is KIND TO the unthankful and to THE EVIL.

Colossians 1:20 And, having MADE PEACE through the blood of his cross, by him TO RECONCILE ALL THINGS unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put ALL THINGS in subjection under his feet. For in that HE PUT ALL in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see NOT YET all things put under him.

Phillipians 2:11 And that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

1 Corinthians 15:28 ...and GOD WILL BE ALL IN ALL.

Hi Tony, maybe God is sending you a message to fill your emptiness with Him rather than try to temporary numb the pain which you probably already know never solves the problem and only makes things worse overall.

You might consider giving your burden and your heart to God. This page has some steps that might be helpful, whether you're a new, or just coming back to the faith, or unsure: Link

You can find support here, but its even better to find support in person like a grief group you can meet with. Please don't try to face it alone. You have God, but you can also seek support through groups. It takes effort and is scary going the first time but if you commit to at least a 4 sessions to give it a full effort before giving up you will be doing yourself a favor. You may also consider meeting with a church pastor- call a church office secretary to set that up. It's free. People are there to help you get through your grief and loss. Many others have lost loved ones too and can relate. Sorry for your loss. If you hang in there and make a few of these steps you will be a much better place.

Do you know the gospel ?

"3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED

    - he died for your sins

    - you need him as your Saviour

    - he rose again

    - he is God and he came in the flesh to die for sinners to redeem us :)"

Verse 25 Heaviness in the heart of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.

So I will give you a good word brother :)

Are you saved ? Have you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for your salvation ?

If so here is another bible verse:

    Psalms 27:14

"Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD."

The Lord will help you just BELIEVE on him and wait for him !

Hi Lillie (what a lovely name)

Yes, the lame man was expectant because he probably had heard or saw Jesus had the power to heal people. We have "heard" this same thing in our reading of Scripture. Some have witnessed a healing in their own life or in others.

You have spoken well by pointing out about expectation. If we are to pray in faith we should have the expectation tat God hears our prayers and will answer in the best way possible for us His children.

In Matthew 7:7-11 tells us to "ask and it will be given to you, seek, and you shall find, knock, and the door shall be opened to you. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven, give good things to those who ask Him."

Hi Mathew Cains wife was his sister which may sound odd but your dealing with purer blood line back then,

to this day Amish marry as close as second cousins. God's Word doesn't say Cain was afraid he was too defiant

also every human back then were descendants of Adam and Eve because Eve is known as in Genesis 3:20 the

mother of all living. When Adam and Eve were deceived one of the things that were affected was the

blood i.e. sin in the blood. The genetics became contaminated and eventually the end result is death. That's the

reason for our Saviours sacrifice he had sinless blood. The first Adam Flesh the second Adam from Heaven

Jesus Christ. Any inhabitants of Nod would have come from Adam and Eve.

Berossus gave account in ancient greek about a half fish half man named Oannes that taught the Babylonians about language math writing building growing food. It makes sense when they heard that Jonah had been vomited out of a fish and gave them warning that they should change their ways or die they were ready to head the advice. The fish was God's plan all along.

If all sinners, whether alive or dead, would one day be saved regardless, then:

    a. there should have been no need for such a spectacle of Christ's Sacrifice if it were only to meet God's Requirement & appease Him for our sin. Why should the world know what God required, if salvation was a matter ONLY between God & His Sacrifice? Wouldn't the Lamb of God quietly put to death on the altar, sufficed?

    b. the payment of Jesus' Life was too great & costly for merely resurrecting ALL sinners back to a life of happiness. We're not seeing another animal sacrifice - we're seeing God in the flesh laying down His Life for us. The greatness of the Sacrifice shows the greatness of the penalty.

    c. the requirement to put our faith in Jesus & regeneration of our spirits should not be required at all, since all will be saved in the end. And, why should we even believe in Him now? This would be an unnecessary requirement. If all will believe in Him in that Day, why believe now?

    d. the burden of the apostles to carry forth the Gospel, even to persecution & death, demonstrates the gravity of God's Judgement & to pull men out from Hell's torment. Why should they have suffered & why does the Gospel go out now into many parts of the World, if ALL men will eventually be saved?

If I believed what you do brother, I would stumble at these questions - answers to which must require belief in Christ in this life, having no other chance later on & with the compulsion to share this Good News that men might hear, believe & be saved from eternal Judgement.

    Page 1.

Thank you for your comments brother Earl. We could spend all day, even weeks, discussing what you believe from the reading of the Scriptures & what I believe. So, I'm not even going to try dealing with all the points you raised, except for a couple.

1 Corinthians 6:2 speaks about the saints judging the world. The purpose, manner & application of that time of judgement is known only to the Lord; what we do know is that we will sit in judgement of the world with the Lord Jesus as Paul said, and as Jesus said to His disciples ( Matthew 19:28; Luke 22:30).

You wrote: "Did not Christ's blood cover all sins of all the world?" True, His Blood availed for every sin of every person, for the shedding of His Son's Blood was God's requirement that our representation in judgement & punishment be borne by His Son. If we stood before God's Court, we would be found absolutely guilty, but His Love was so great that He sent us His Son, our Substitute, to pay our price in our stead.

Then we should ask, 'what is the punishment we would have suffered by this Divine Court?' Can it be only death & the grave, as you believe? As sinners (saved or unsaved), we all have to face death - that is our lot - no escape, lest the Lord intervenes by His Coming. Then was the price paid for our forgiveness & ransom simply to retrieve ALL from the grave? This would be a nice thought & hope that all sinners, no matter how evil they might be, will one day find eternal life with Jesus & reign with Him. But that very hope is unfounded for several reasons. (continued).
