    Kari,

I would like to share with you my perspective from a biblical Greek study on this word hate. In Luke 14:26, it says " If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

First of all let me tell you what the word hate means. This word is MISEO. It is not the word for hostile or hatred as we know it in English. It is a word of comparison. When MISEO is used with any of the words that have to do with love, it is showing comparison.

In other words, Jesus is saying you must love me so much that the comparison between me and anybody else, or anything else, it makes it look like you hate them. You really don't, but that's what it looks like. It can't even be close!

Jesus is not talking about walking away from our families. He's talking about cutting the emotional ties, not cutting the relationship. We need to understand that. In our society, there's a big play on the social interaction with friends and relatives. Jesus didn't say you couldn't have family. Jesus didn't say that you have to stop your relationship with family members. That is not what He is saying.

He is saying that when it comes to choice and service, and what to do with your life, basically it's a no-brainer. It is Jesus. Family members that don't know Jesus aren't going to understand that. But do you know what they are going to understand? They are going to see and understand that Jesus means more to you than anything or anybody else in the world.

So this is the teaching of Jesus, you must hate. That is, love everybody much less then you love me. It can't even be close. No question about it. You love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself, and that's a Hebraism for you are going to love your neighbor according to how you love the Lord.

Tammy This is easier than you might think, it is a theory not proven, the top scientific brains have admitted

there is a superior intelligence behind the universe but don't believe they will say God they may say a being

but they won't say God and yet the same people will celebrate the birth of Christ. Just proof that we put screen

doors in submarines mentally. Have fun God will show you what to say.

Ronald Keep something in mind which makes a difference in understanding certain things, Jesus Christ

initial ministry was to the lost sheep of the house of Israel so a lot of things he taught were addressing

them I'm not saying that what he shared did not apply at all to us some does and some doesn't. When it

comes to Gods Word I'm careful to whom is something written to, it does make a difference. He came to

fulfill the law which in practice ended at the cross because Christ put an end to the curse of the law.

Day of pentecost started the Age of grace which walking again by the spirit 24/7 we complete the law

because walking by the spirit fulfills all the law. But again its your privilege to believe what you will.

Jesus said outta of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou has perfected Praise , thats y the new birth is so important

We are gonna birth a baby Christ which is the H.G. the Child of Promise , Which is our new innerman that Praises God

Perfectly , In spirit and truth, Our old adamic nature is too defiled with materialistic things , Thus he don't really want our adamic praise. its simply too tainted with our sin nature. Thats y he always refers to himself as the SON OF MAN, ,MANKIND needs to birth a Baby Christ that Child of Promise . Thats y he is saying unless you receive the Kingdom of GOD AS A LIL Child you will in no wise enter there in. She brought forth a manChild that is gonna rule all nations.

Hi Ronald Its interesting that if you disagree with some ones understanding or interpretation in one area your

judged but in a different area they agree and your great so I take what you said with a grain of salt. I have not

found two people on this site that agreed on all fields of scripture because either the theologians they learned

from or books they read also differ on same subject matter. As I stated before simply Christ came 1st Time birth

ministry death resurrection right hand Gods throne. 2nd time the gathering Together 2 Thess. 2:1 then 7-12 ,

those who believed not the truth will be left we the saints who believed the Body of Christ will be gathered

together Christ will not touch down then in the appearing which is what revelation was called first after other

events take place Christ comes back with us His body I.E. Jews and Gentiles the Mystery same spiritual body

and the telos or the very end will be near. P.S. I saw all your Time frames and referenced verses and like I'll

state to anyone its your privilege to believe what you will, and mine also no judgement from me.

Hi Paul Just to put some perspective on this, there actually was a christian called Nicholaus but like

most things that start out Godly the adversary bends folds and a lot of times mutilates to corruption.

The board game dungeons and dragons started out as a christian board game. I'm thankful that at least

a very brief time some people think about Gods word perhaps only a little more or a lot during the

the holiday of Christ birth celebration although it wasn't Dec. 25th and perhaps the door will open to speak

the truth in Love. If we don't get caught up in spend a lot of money and go broke to please others perhaps

we will be more pleasing to Our Lord. I know a Lot of people who do this, give because you want to not

    you feel you have to.

Cowboy, I am not saying that the Creator is mortal. He is not a creature and is self existent. His eternal existence is within Himself. I really cannot say for certain what the "image of God" is in mankind. Each and every person is made in His image from Adam to now. We are all mortal but still possess the image of God. This image does not include His essence (that which makes Him God and completely separate from what any creature he has created). This essence includes so many qualities that we do not possess-self existence, infinity, absolute perfection, holiness to the infinity degree, all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere present, eternal immortality, absolute completeness, self-sufficiency (in need of nothing outside of Himself), perfect simplicity (He is not made of parts or has a composite existence), unchanging, He cannot be harmed by anything, subdued by anything, or overruled by anything.

These qualities are all what He is as a whole, He is not part all-powerful and part unchanging. He possesses all of these qualities to the utmost and, as far as simplicity goes, these qualities are His essence. They cannot be separated out from Him or compartmentalized.

We however are composite beings. We are made of parts and if parts fail or are removed we can die or suffer harm.

Same is true of all created things and beings. We have limits on all of our abilities and faculties. We capable of adding to our abilities (i.e. knowledge, strength) or these abilities can be reduced or eliminated. We can be made alive spiritually, which is a change in our nature. We can be affected by outside forces. So the image of God in us is none of the things I mentioned in the previous paragraph.

This is why I do not believe that man was made immortal (the angels are made this way).To live forever, He would have needed to eat from the Tree of Life, which shows that Adam and Eve did not possess immortality.

Immortality in man can only be acquired, not restored, in man by salvation.

Ferment I understand that is the universe that God created but how would I explain to somebody that saying the Big bang theory is the one that created the universe well I could also say what created that Big bang theory if it wasn't God but I need you to help me put it in the words that make more sense that made sense to me I don't know thank you
  • GiGi again - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
    Hello David,

The text in Genesis does not say that Adam and Eve were created immortal. Therefore, this is something we really do not know for sure. Certainly, what God had done in creation was good. It does not say that it was perfect in an absolute sense that we will be in the resurrection.

    But thanks for your thoughts.

    Hello again, Earl.

I know that the Bible was not written with chapters and verse enumeration. I also know that Jesus said to teachers and Pharisees that they search the Scriptures, but had missed out on the primary point of the Old Testament, that they speak of and that direct the reader to Himself.

Yeah, and kids even view santa as all knowing, all powerful, can perform miracles, and some parents teach kids to even pray to santa, then have a pagan tree with shiny idols/graven images as ornaments in their house as an object of their affection.

And in many places in the world today if you want to celebrate christmas in public or travel to see your family you must take an injection as the mark and even a passport which allows you to trade in public. Nevermind that the injection is more dangerous than the original virus feared and has killed more than a million worldwide and has injured countless millions. All preventable. Biggest crisis and coverup in the history of the world. Strong delusion?

I live in Wisconsin. Many of the people that live here follow football and just sports in general. Right now all is quiet. I suspect there is a Wisconsin badger game on or some other type of sporting event (say tomorrow would be a GB Packer game) of interest. I used to get caught up in all this, but I desire to stay away in order to steep myself more and more in The Word Of God...The Lord Jesus Christ. No doubt I am not perfect, but I desire to get more and more into HIM. Please stand in agreement with me that I would not get back caught up into the draw of the sports and sporting figure idolatry. In The Name of The Lord Jesus Christ i pray. Amen.

    MATTHEW 7

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

6 Give not that which is holy unto the DOGS, neither cast ye your PEARLS, before SEJNE, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. (TEAR TO PIECES)

    COMMENTARYS

    Wesley's Notes for Matthew 7:6

Here is another instance of that transposition, where of the two things proposed, the latter is first treated of. Give not - to dogs - lest turning they rend you: Cast not - to swine - lest they trample them under foot. Yet even then, when the beam is cast out of thine own eye, Give not - That is, talk not of the deep things of God to those whom you know to be wallowing in sin. neither declare the great things God hath done for your soul to the profane, furious, persecuting wretches. Talk not of perfection, for instance, to the former; not of your experience to the latter. But our Lord does in nowise forbid us to reprove, as occasion is, both the one and the other.

What does the Bible say about parades? We know that Jesus was escorted into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey!

Isn't it funny that Santa (Satan) is escorted into most towns and into peoples lives by a parade?

Hello Kari In the context of Mathew Jesus Christ is talking about the spiritual battle, you may have family

members who don't believe and pretty negative towards you because of your belief in Christ. Thar's why he said

mother against daughter father against son and so on. Some personally experience this and some don't. If you

choose to follow Christ and you were hindu they, although you haven't died they literally have a funeral service

for you and will not talk to you again because to them your dead.

Sister GiGi, Jesus always had to take the disciple aside and explain the parables to them, because it's NOT GIVEN to the multitudes. When he was with them in Matthew 5 it was only him and the 12, no multitude.

This is the problem today, Jesus is ONLY calling out those CHOSEN to be priest in the coming kingdom on earth. Man doesn't believe this. He takes you, the called out, aside and teaches you, not the multitudes.

God is going to follow the shadow of the Old Testament. FIRST Passover, SECOND Feast of the weeks or feast of firstfruits (Pentecost) and LAST, feast of the ingathering (final harvest). A FEW are being called and chosen now to be labours in the final harvest. Only the wheat and rye were first ripe and ready to harvest at the feast of weeks (Pentecost)(we are still in the feast of the weeks). All the rest of the harvest weren't mature until the feast of ingathering.

Zechariah 12:7 The Lord shall also save the tents of Judah FIRST.....

The New covenant PRIESTHOOD is out of the house of Judah, the Old covenant priesthood was of the house of Levi.

Everything that happened in the old will happen in the new.

Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been IS NOW; and that WHICH IS TO BE hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

God Bless us as we mature in the WORD.

    THE SEED

Most people are removed for the land and never experience the blessing received from being in direct contact with farming.

Christ used parables about wheat and vineyards and animals to teach.

When wheat is planted it goes through multiple stages before it becomes mature and bears SEED.

Christ likens us to that wheat, we to go through multiple stages before we become mature.

Often their is to much rain, then not enough rain, the clouds come and the wind blows and the wheat is tattered, then hail, and the wheat is stripped, then sunshine and new growth appears.

All the hardships upon the wheat, yet in the end it bears SEED.

    Earl,

I am well aware that Jesus spoke in parables at times. There also are many times didn't, such as when He spoke about the Law in Matthew 5-7, or the Last Supper Discourse in John 13-18.

Jesus' parables would have resonated with the people of His day because the parables spoke to the common lifestyle of the day.

Therefore, I w2ouldn't concur that people, including the disciples didn't understand all of what Jesus taught. There are a few instances where the disciples asked Jesus to explain a parable (tares and wheat, for example) and He did, but they didn't ask Him to explain every parable. I think that most people understood what Jesus taught, but the Scribes, Pharisees, and Sadducees did not want to learn from Him. What the people and disciples did not understand was what He said about His upcoming death and resurrection. But after these happened, He appeared to the disciples and taught them more clearly about these events and what was accomplished.

    Hey David,

Sorry for using the word feel, it was not meant to suggest anything other than your belief or your understanding of the rapture of the Church that is taught. I just pointed out scripture on part of the rapture as taught I thought you may study. If we do not pray and study what we are taught, we are accountable. The definition of deceive; is to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid.

This was the first thing Jesus said after the disciples asked about the destruction of the temple.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Have a great day in love.

    God bless,

All nations, all people, men, and women ought to sing praises of God's goodness and mightiness. He has redeemed the nations, evidently, the other man called Satan has been horribly defeated. The victor and the Creator of Heaven and Earth have emerged as the winner and savior. Hallelujah, hallelujah, our God reigns!
