Brother Earl, Brother Adam, I believe this is an important issue to discuss. Perhaps it is the HOLY Spirit that is having us gather here together to discuss this.

I'm only addressing the two of you by name (right now) because you are both correct (on most) of these issues & today Earl I think people do need to know & address; there are differences in eternity & grave. Today the world faces many issues & decisions that lead to the grave. (I have lost many loved ones, from decisions that led to destruction, ultimately the grave) examples smoking, addictions, drinking etc.) we today have sugar flooding our foods & obesity even in medical practice. The biggest discussion in society, religion & political is actually right in line with 'which destruction?' "death', immunization, etc. Luke 9:25, Mark 8:36, John 12:25, Matthew 16:26,

I would like eveyones input on= What do feel the LORD leading us to discuss about the differences? Where our focuses should be? How do we discuss people making bad health choices?

Please even address this Matthew 15:19, if you would.

I would like to grow some in understanding.

We should all "deep study" the evil spirit of Jezebel. It's in the Bible; teachings by Pastors on Google; and on YouTube.

We're all seeing IT in action, by all these HELL teachings. Why wouldn't she want to mislead the body of Christ.

There is only one way to get rid of this evil, wicked spirit. I AM NOT CALLING ANYONE IN HERE evil. We must recognize the true evil. Discern rightly. Put on our armor; and Aim it at something that is INVISIBLE. Ephesians 6.

It's not "she" Jezebel. IT IS an evil spirit. It shows up where TRUTH ABOUT JESUS CHRIST, and Him crucified, is being preached. Now go study. Pray the correct names.

Pray for those taken captive..as I am. These are brothers and sisters.

Hi Pat In our day and time the goal is to speak the truth in Love Ephesians 4:14 being the [love of God Agapeo],

also Ephesians 4:29. Then Ephesians 5:1+2 this is the Age of Grace where our commission is 2 Corinthians 5 :17-20

we are witnesses of His goodness not to be condemning if they don't believe, that is on them the old saying is if they

want to go to hell that's their problem if they choose not to believe. John 3:16-18. Prayerfully this helps.

David, ok, thanks for sharing. I would agree that creation is the natural outflow of Who God Is, even so, He could have chosen not to do it and would still be completely satisfied.

    Rick,

    That's a good quote. Thanks.

Makes me wonder, though, why you shared it with me. People usually do have a reason for sending such messages and I want to understand your thinking.

Hi Gigi The phrase mother of all living pertains to child birth, the term mother means ancestress. Fits the title.

    Stephanie,

My understanding is that Jesus said that if you lust in your heart, you have committed sexual sin. Matthew 5:27. So, yes, I would say it is sin as Jesus calls it such.

Gigi Thanks and the only point was to make that part of being a Father is to have some one to give that love

to. That being said God being a father from what I see biblically put together all of creation for man to enjoy admire

be nourished and understand His Love so my Opinion is Indeed God needs and want a family to extend His Love

to. Think of it why Go through all the longsuffering and patience He went through and still goes through if it wasn't

because that's the epitome of His Nature Love and He is also the ultimate giver. I look at it this way the earth is the

center of creation and man was originally given authority or dominion over it. That's one Heck of a free gift just

obey or respect my who and what I am.

    Hello, T. Levi;

I think that Earl has the the ability to bear up under such exchanges, as most of us who respond to him possess. If he is able to submit the large number of posts that he does is an indicator that he does this ability. If he didn't, he would have retreated a long time ago. The rigorous exchange of ideas that go back and forth between some of us on here is healthy, but not everyone will wish to engage in the way some of us have.

Certainly, if Earl is feeling attacked, then I would hope that he would let us know. We all want to be sensitive to what each of us can bear.

Carolyn, that is a good question.

Many people think that in Genesis 1 God created Adam and Eve, and that Genesis 2 is a recap of Day 6. Others, believe that God created mankind (Adam) on Day 6, not a singular man (Adam) and that on day 7 God put one man Adam, in the special garden God made grow, and then made Eve out of Adam.

Scientifically, evidence seems to show that mankind has been around for 40,000 years. Scientifically, also, it is theorized that in order for a species to survive and thrive there needs to be more than one initial pair procreating.

Even so, God is the Creator and sustainer. Therefore, either is plausible. We really do not know, exactly.

Some say that it was only Adam and Eve because Eve is called the "Mother of all the living." However, she was not the mother of Adam. So, perhaps this phrase is referring to all of the people who would be from their lineage, who can be spiritually alive because they follow God. Only their lineage through Seth survived the flood. This lineage was that of the Savior to come, in the fullness of time, Jesus. So, everyone who is alive now or who lived after the flood is from Adam and Eve's lineage through Seth.

    Hi Aaron,

Anything else you would like to say. It will help us in responding to your post.
  • GiGi - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 4 years ago
God is Spirit, not human. Before He created all things, The Godhead (Trinity) inhabited eternity without any other being. Nothing else was in existence because he alone is uncreated. He spoke and the heaven and the earth was created. Same with everything else recorded in Genesis 1. It was wen Jesus was conceived in Mary that God the Son became man in sinless flesh.

One question for you, why do you think that God is a man?

    Paisley,

I was typing too fast. My name is GiGi.

  • Gi - In Reply on Isaiah 58 - 4 years ago
    Hi, Paisley,

I read all the way through to verse 20. that may help you understand the passage a bit better. God is calling out the Israelite people for turning their backs on God and living in disobedience, but still thinking that offering up bloody sacrifices and keeping certain holy days will garner favor with God. He wants His people to stay turned towards Him, to follow only Him and and His commands. Because they have not done so, they have met with devastation God has allowed so that they will return to Him and serve Him above all. He says, "Come let us reason together," and speaks of how He will cleanse them from sin and restore them. He calls the people to do what is good and right. A people that claims Him as their God should live godly lives.

That is some of what I get out of this passage. It tells me that God loves us but will allow hardships to come upon us to break us from rebellion and sin, so we will repent and live for God. This is His desire for believers as well. He is a forgiving God. He wants sincere worship from those who have "clean hands and hearts". You may discover some other things about God as you consider the passage more. I suggest re-reading it a few times to let the truth of His Word speak to you.

Thanks for asking. It caused me to consider this passage anew!

    David, well said.

I don't think we can state it enough that God's love is the reason we exist. It is greater than anything tat would come against it. Praise God!

He did not have need of a family outside of the Godhead, because He is totally self-sufficient and self-satisfied within Himself. He condescended to create this world and its people, along with all of the angels and spiritual beings, despite knowing that the exercise of His creativity would bring evil into this new arena of creation He chooses to draw near to. He is not a God who is far off. He is near, closer than a whisper. He willed it that, through redemption, He would abide within His adopted sons and daughters. What a privilege!

We don't deserve any good thing from God, but He is perfectly benevolent, willing to share His riches and goodness with those He created. We are on a plane of existence that really does not even come close to is plan of eternality, infiniteness, and perfection. How the Son humbled Himself to become man. How low He was willing to descend to have His eternally holy essence indwell even perfect human flesh. I am amazed by this every time I think of it!

I think it is good to extol the greatness and goodness of God to Him and to one another. This pleases God and refreshes us. In this forum, where we tussle with some of the most profound thoughts in all of the thinking of man, knowing, too, that there is a whole lot of mystery in and about God that we may never understand, we can always bless one another with BIG thought about our GREAT God!

Where do you find the most recent comments I wrote a comment a few weeks ago. I was talking about being baptized in water. But first you have to believe Jesus is the son of God.
