Who or what were the sons of God? Were they spirits or men?

Consider this key related verse, Job 2:1 - there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. If they presented themselves to God, the sons of God had to be spirits. But they weren't good spirits. How do we know this? They were led by their leader, Satan, and were being called by God to account for themselves. Being evil, they were being banished from heaven and given the choice of remaining a spirit, like Satan, or assuming a natural body.

We know that the soul (and spirit) are given to man at birth. I propose that when the evil spirits were banished, they commandeered the spirits of new-borns. This gave the evil spirits, which didn't have physical bodies and therefore couldn't have sex, the physical attributes needed to marry and have children as noted in Genesis 6:4.

This would also explain Genesis 6:3 - And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh. "that he [the evil spirits] also is flesh." Implies that the evil spirits had become men. It would also explain the outburst of wickedness found later in Genesis 6. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. It was because (6.4) the children of the sons of God and daughters of men had become mighty men which ere of old, men of renown with natural bodies but evil spirits.

I was reading in Genesis, the Holy Spirit stops me on verse 1. He said the 4 things

TIME: in the beginning__God set TIME ticking

FORCE: The Godhead created. (Father, The Word ( John 1:1) and Holy Spirit

ACTION: and the Spirit of God MOVED over

MATTER: earth, waters, atoms

God purposed, Word spoke: Light Be, and there was Light. (Purpose Spoke Light)

Carbon dating proves earth is around 2-3 billion years. Satan was around but he's a created being himself. He cannot create dinosaurs, cavemen or anything. My personal theory is: Romans 1:19-20. God put the artifacts in earth for us to find; oil for our cars, coal to be warm, fresh water for us and salted water for creatures.

We have to pray for scientists to see the Book of Romans. It's an occupation, as is archaeology, bio science, medicine. We are without excuse if we refuse to acknowledge The Godhead.

They're going to flip out when they get to heaven and see it's lighted up by the Glory of Jesus (The Son) and not a sun.

Jesus wants us to know this stuff because THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OUR TEACHER. All we have to do is ask Him. It's not a secret.

I don't discuss the giants because angels do not marry. We will be as the angels in heaven, in that we will not marry or procreate. Survivors of the entire Tribulation who have received Jesus as savior and managed to survive alive without mass murder by Antichrist will be taken to heaven in human reproducing bodies for 1000 years. They'll have to resist satans deceptions when he gets a short parole to tempt the still human. :D then Satan goes to the lake of fire forever. O happy days!

These present troubles are just temporary. Let's spread the Word to the Harvest and get as many in as we can. We're going to be living with The God that purposed all of this!

and coming ministry the Light of the World and spreading Gods Word. The term spiritual darkness is the condition

As important as this country is, I find it hard to believe that it is not specifically mentioned in the Bible.

In terms of the good this country had done for others throughout the world it might be the greatest country in history. So it is difficult to accept that it is only included in "all nations."

It is true that David had many military battles and attributed his victories to God (see Psalm 18), but the enemies referred to in Psalm 110:1, quoted here in Acts 2:35, are Jesus' enemies (FOES) including the Antichrist, Satan, sin, and the ultimate enemy, which is death ( 1 Corinthians 15:26). The suggestion that Jesus waits for God to defeat His enemies is an interesting one. The author of Hebrews reaffirms it in Hebrews 10:12-13. In Philippians 2:1-9, Paul explains that Jesus voluntarily submitted Himself to God and took on the role of a servant. In return, God has exalted Jesus' name so that "at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" ( Philippians 2:10-11).

"Footstool" is from the Greek root word hypopodion. This is like calling something an "underfoot" in English. In common practice, it means a stool or resting place for one's feet. As a metaphor, it refers to the tradition of military leaders to place their feet on the necks of those they had conquered. Jesus' enemies will be completely vulnerable and in complete subjection to Him. We don't know when, but we do know at least one thing: God will do it, not us ( John 18:36).

What's the meaning??

Hi Tony. You may be referring to Exodus 31:12-17. This Law was given to Israel in line with Day 7 of the Days of Creation - the Day that God "rested (or, ceased) from all His work" ( Genesis 2:3). The Law, which included the keeping of the seventh day (the Sabbath), & circumcision, were the signs that made God's people a special, chosen people, unlike any other nation on Earth. As God ceased from His Work of creation, so He required His people (Israel) to set a specific day each week to also rest from their labours. And the fact that God sanctified the day (i.e. He set it apart as a special day), meant that Israel should engage themselves with other things other than going through the rigors of daily toil. So, it was a day of physical rest & also a day when their minds could re-focus on their Creator & learning more about Him.

Israel today still keep the Sabbath as required of them. But those of Judaism who have come out, finding new life & liberty in Jesus Christ & led of the Spirit are no longer under the Law ( Galatians 5:18), just as the Gentiles who are "without the Law" ( 1 Corinthians 9:21), are not required to be bound to it - to a Law that only showed man his sin & his incapability to fully obey it ( Romans 7:7 ff).

Both Jew & Gentile still need a rest day from hard toil - for the Jew, the seventh day was appointed. For the Christian, any day could be a day of physical rest. For the Jew, he went to the Temple or Synagogue on the Sabbath to worship God - for the Christian, he can worship God on any day he chooses. The early Church met on the first day of the week to worship ( Acts 20:7), fellowship & break bread together, remembering the Lord Who gave His Life for them & rose from the grave on the first day of the week. So, there is no commandment to break; the Sabbath for worship together does not apply to the Christian - some worship on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday - maybe even other days. But if Sabbath is forced upon Christians, then we have a problem.

Keep your beliefs grounded in the solid, unchanging Word of God. Don't base your beliefs on experiences. It's dangerous ground, sir.

Psalms 91 is certainly a great Psalm regarding Jehovah God's protection. The King James presents it the best. First of all, it describes the place of Divine protection, "The secret place". This is referring to a special relationship with Jehovah God. In Psalms 31:20 we see where that 'secret place' is, "You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man: You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues." It is when we dwell continuously in God's presence that we obtain that special protection.

Gigi, when I believed (Yom Kippur 1985) I was an astrologer giving an interpretation To a friend; a backslid Methodist. I'm gonna leave out details due to space. She sat in the floor folding clothes. It was like her face was folded over and I saw the Lord on a white horse in the clouds. He was looking right into my eyes. I went into shock. Debbie got spooked at my expression and left. The Bible said that people who do occult are under a sentence of death. I wanted to Live. Hell appeared in the floor. I stood on a chair and became convinced a hand was extended to me from the ceiling. I took it. If you go right into evangelism, Satan sends his scariest goons to scare you and make you stop. It just made me mad. He thought I'd cave, but I just got deeper into the life of Jesus. I ain't going back! I asked the Holy Spirit to give me the gift of: discerning of spirits. And He did. You can discern between human, Divine and demonic. It has saved my life more than once. I was given the word of Wisdom. The Holy Spirit chooses what we need. Consuming Bible builds up our most Holy Faith.

I gave a friends friend a ride home from church. On the way, he starts hissing and twisting. The HS says keep you eyes on me. The guy pulls out a butcher knife; I speed up. I dropped him off and was able to breathe again. He had a python spirit (demon).

Point is, I think people in ministry need to ask the Holy Spirit for the best gifts for them. Learn what each one does. He's in control and he will teach us what we need to say or do. It is NEVER for to give us fame or glory. The gifts glorify God. The anointing will leave if it becomes about and Not Jesus. Isaiah 61.

So ask for the best gifts for your life and ministry.

Deepen your relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Worship and Praise the Father. There is no limitation on LOVE. One tip: angels love praise or scripture music :D make your home a sanctuary.

Hi Kevin We live in a time of tremendous opportunity to bless and deliver people but also of so called prophets

and teachers who are going political or acceptable of certain practices that God plainly states is straight up

idolatrous including the prosperity trip where they live in unbelievable out of balance wealth. The people teaching

are constantly asking for more and more no balance. It seems like lust of flesh of eyes and the pride of life.

In the bible the people were so blessed that they brought in and had all things in common without being ask

or made to feel like if you don't give, God won't do anything for you and that's a lie. That being said there are

Hi Gigi Here's one for you the word says Adam and Eve were the first humans but it also says in Genesis

1:28 for Adam and Eve to multiply and replenish the earth which means there was something there before them.

That's is not speculation that is written and I believe what ever they were originally got messed up between genesis 1:1

and 1:2. Its says in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth then verse two and the earth was without

form and void, the puzzle here is the word was because some places this is in Italics which means it was added and other places regular print. Examples italics verse 4,10,12,18,21 regular print 3,7,9,11,15, since God is light and In Him is

no darkness at all and Our God is a God of perfect order verse two would make more sense if it said became that way

because that where satan was throne out of heaven and corrupted Gods Creation and wreaked havoc. Just stuff I think about when I work scripture. Any other input insight appreciated.

Hi Sandy Most Alters or symple places of worship were just made of stone literally large rocks that no tools were used at certain locations where a Godly event took place. There are also times when these alters were made and either individuals or

the people gathered together to commit something to God. Basically swearing by the alter. In the Book of 1 Kings

18:21 is the start of a fantastic record of God by a prophet bringing His people back to Him By a Miracle. There was an

altar on mount Carmel and Elijah called all the people together and said tell you what lets set up the altar and prepare

a sacrifice and the prophets of baal or satan can call on their god and if he burns the sacrifice no matches he's god, but if I call on the Lord thy God and if He burn's it up then worship him. So 850 worships of baal prayed all day almost no

fire, and they were so angry they were cutting themselves and wrecked the altar. Then Elijah instructed the people exactly how to reassemble it and

fried some heads when He ordered 4 barrels of water poured over the whole sacrifice until it was soaked prayed to the

God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob for fire to come down and it cane down from heaven and burn't the offering the wood and stone, end result 850 prophets of baal were slaughtered, and the people for a while turned back to Jehovah.
