  • Living Together is not Gods Perfect Plan - In Reply - 4 years ago
Yes. But until you marry the Bible calls it Fornication.

After God created Adam and made Eve from Adams rib; God performed the first Marriage.

Genesis 2:22-25. He sanctified it. Children born are sanctified by the believing parents.

Satan has always fought against marriage because God created it. That's why people try to gloss over what the Bible teaches. Rebellion is as (or, the same as) the sin of witchcraft.

You have to decide who you are going to follow: Jesus, or Worldly Opinions. Search your heart on what you will choose?

God has put Eternity in our hearts. Somehow everyone sorta knows that; but they block it out and do the worldly thing.

God wants us to get married and enjoy all the benefits and pleasures without any guilt.

Hi Timothy. Here are some Scriptures for you to consider:

    1 Corinthians 6:12; Titus 2:11,12; 1 Peter 5:8,9; James 1:12-15; James 4:7,8; 1 Peter 2:11; Romans 13:12-14; Romans 12:1,2.

All these Scriptures show how a Christian can live above the sinful cravings of the heart & mind - when we know that we need help & that help is beyond any power we can muster up, then we must cry to the Lord our God, submit fully to Him & daily trust Him to deliver us of anything that opposes godliness.

I had a few addictions to surrender to the Lord when I was saved by His Spirit; some things left off immediately, others took a little longer. But remember "it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." Philippians 2:13. God will by His Spirit help an earnest repentant soul. If He is in the business of pulling out wayward souls from the coming fires of Hell through His Son's Sacrifice, He will certainly not forget a struggling child who is still ensnared by the wicked one.

Our strength to resolve our issues very quickly diminishes - God's great Power to deliver & heal awaits all who look only to Him & submit to His Will. And when temptation knocks at our door, we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." But the part of that verse that tests our genuineness, is whether we see, acknowledge & use the door of escape that God provides for us. When that sin or addiction becomes something most hateful in us, we're on the road to physical, mental & spiritual recovery.

What you're dealing with is demonic. Unbelievers don't know they've been taken hostage.

Believers know they've been snared. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can break the ties that bind us. We pray and ask for HELP to break the bonds and be freed. We do that by depending upon what Jesus did on the Cross to set us free. He paid in blood. Satan nor demons have AUTHORITY to cross that blood and take a Christian captive. Whom the Son sets free, is free Indeed.

Faith in Christ stands up and takes that authority back! Ephesians 6. The Helmet of Salvation. Start pleading the blood of Jesus when THE TEMPTER shows up. The more scripture you know__the more ammo you have to shoot back at the evil. Read about Jesus 40 day fast after his baptism. "IT IS WRITTEN_____ " you fill in that blank with a verse, like He did. It absolutely works. We're weak often because we fill our minds with television, novels and video games.

    FILL UP ON JESUS.

Roots... "The Works of the Flesh," Galatians 5:19-21.

"By their fruits you will know all men," Matthew 7:20. According to Matthew 6:10; 11:12; 12:29; 16:18; 18:18; 28:18 BIND: Spirit of Bondage

Yup, know them by heart. And have studied what they mean and what Jesus meant when he said our righteousness must exceed that of the Pharisees, who outwardly kept the commandments, but in their hearts were hatred, lust, etc. that Jesus said was breaking these commandments.

Rick, I think that God commanded the Israelites to do this because the wickedness of the Canaanites had come to fullness in God's wisdom and wanted the whole Canaanite people removed from the area that God had promised the Israelites. So, it was to judge the Canaanites, but also to remove the bloodline from the area so that the Israelites would not intermarry with them and be easily pulled into their idolatrous practices.

For me, I believe the Bible states that that living arrangement is termed fornication, and is one way one can commit sexual immorality. I suggest that those who love Jesus should change the living arrangement and stop having sex. We have the Holy Spirit and the power of grace to overcome such sin. But, yes, you can still be a Christian and sin in many ways. When a person becomes aware that their actions are sinful, out of love for Jesus and to not impede their witness, a believer should confess it as sin, repent of it, and ask for help to stop sinning in this way.

    Sasha,

Appreciate your take. I've been doing some research tonight on what was practiced in the church in the 1st century during the apostles lifetime and just after. Water baptism was the norm. Not saying that someone is not saved if not water baptized or saved because of it. Our salvation comes from Jesus, but anyone who says they love Him would obey Him, especially express commands like the one to repent, believe, and be baptized. I do think they all go together and should not be separated apart or have any of the 3 be discarded. I think that all of Jesus' commands are good for us to do and, of course absolutely correct and valid.

Dear all, for some dayes ago ill get a word, from

    Acts 1:25

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

Some years ago ill have a sight of my grandparent's they stood behind each other like i remember them. In a light who is not on this earth. In a place who Jesus have made for them, ill see columns in a tempel and them! After that i was soo grateful too the Lord Jesus who is the only King!

    John 14:2

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

It is soo many ppl i know who have gone too they're own places. The places that Jesus have made for them. He may already have done a place ready-made for me as well.

Some other time ill look my stepfather waving energetically too me after one hour when he died. And he belived in Jesus. If he understand the meaning of Christ i dont know. But it is not for me to know.

Am glad if all ppl i meet tell me that they belive in Jesus.

    John 11:26

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Its many more words in Holy Scripture of this. Read and understand inspired by the Holy Spirit ill pray.

If we belive in Jesus We dont die anymore. Here's a big question! Do Jesus have a place for all them who have past away? Noo matter what_ And are all died ppl in one of the heavens who is described in this examles. I'll belive soo, evan Judas Iskariot could go too his place.

It is good to understand this: That God is in charge of this. Soo i belive strongly that we meet again some day. And i will know whom from whom by the spirit they had in life.

God bless us all in Jesus Name by the Holy Spirit. Love u all in Christ
  • Mishael - In Reply on Song of Solomon 5 - 4 years ago
I can't give a Hebrew translation; but Jesus is the person in Song of Solomon. The woman is the Bride of Christ. It's hard to understand if a person thinks of it carnally.

All scripture is pointing to Christ and the beautiful love song written by king Solomon is no exception. It describes the Lord Jesus Christ in the most beautiful and intimate terms - He is manly and strong - He is the chiefest among ten thousand. His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh - His mouth is sweetness itself. Jesus Christ is desirable in every way - He is altogether lovely

The truth of the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ and the many precious promised that surround the beauty of His Person - can only be described as the sweetest and most beautiful truths known to mankind. The glories of the gospel of grace from which flow love and joy and peace and hope and the salvation - and that brings with it eternal life are sweetness and light to all who believe.

Grace and truth came to us through the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the transforming light that streams into the inner recesses of man's bitter soul - bringing new life and new hope and new joy into the inner recesses of man's spirit.

You can put the verses into google, type a comma and type Hebrew interpretation. Then you'll have to find a website that is Jewish.

For me, first I had to leave my carnal mind at the door, and open it to the spiritual; by asking My Teacher, the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to me. He indwells us and He is the Spirit of Jesus. This is part of His ministry to believers.

For me, the greatest acceptance and love is in the strength of the statement: I AM my beloveds, and My Beloved is MINE.

I am not struggling all alone. I belong to My Savior.

    Dear Hartford,

I just don't know why any Christian would not want to receive baptism in water, in addition to all the other scripture, here is Jesus telling us that (point blank) we really need to submit to this - if we want to enter into the kingdom of God.

    John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

    God Bless.

    Part 2. Baptism.

Now let us look at a few more scriptures people like to use on the subject, water baptism a requirement for salvation.

    Another in Acts 8:35-38.

Vs 35: Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, AND PREACHED UNTO HIM JESUS.

Philip preached the gospel according to those scriptures!!

    "Same as paul."

    Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

    For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY, according to the scriptures:

Vs 36-37. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? Did you notice the eunuch asked for the water baptism, Philip didn't require it.

    NOTICE VERSE 37.

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Believest what? THE GOSPEL THAT HE PREACHED!

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL to every creature.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;.; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; ect: How are they baptized? BY BELEIVING! This is the baptism of the Holyspirit. That's why Jesus says: "And these signs shall follow them that believe;"

    Part 1.

    Hi Grace Ambassador.

That is the question to be asked! it seems to be 2 arguments here.

Brother Chris gave a good sound take on this. I would like to add to it. First of all how many on the site have the Holyspirit? Did you receive him by the laying on of the hands or when you received Christ as savior? Perhaps this power was done by only the Apostles.

Should a believer be baptized? Yes I believe so. Is baptism a requirement for salvation? NO. And the scriptures presented doesn't say so. Baptism means to identify with. who does the water baptism? Who does the baptism of the Holyspirit? The lord himself. Who are we identifying with and what are we identifying with? Christ death and resurrection on the cross. When are you Identified with Christ? When you are water baptized are when you receive Christ as your savior? Its when you receive Christ as your savior. Water baptism is an outwardly profession of what you believe in.

    Acts 8:14-117.

Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had "RECIEVED" the word of God,

    PAUSE. See Mathew 13:23.

RESUME. ( they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:) PAUSE. Did Peter and John come down to water baptize them? No the next verse says they were already baptized. You see in water baptism doesn't slay the "old man". Romans 6:3-4.

    NOTICE THE DISTINCTION.

( For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: "ONLY" they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. There is 2 baptisms shown here, and It doesn't sound like water baptism was required, if so what need of Peter and John?

John the baptist makes that distinction in Mathew 3:11. Johns baptism was a baptism of repentance. " to go from unbelief to belief. and when they believed they were put in the body of believers. "baptized by the Holyspirit.

    see part 2 God bless.

William faulk, There are two different ways that are disputed.

    1. If you are saved and in a state of grace, your spirit goes to heaven. If you are saved, but you are not purified, you go to purgatory to prepare you for heaven. In both instances your physical body stays in the ground until Jesus return and gives you a glorified body.

    2. If you are saved and whether you are purified or not you go to heaven.

People will fight all day over these two, I won't bother.

Hi Langley Holland, I offer you words of encouragement and prayer. God allowed Satan to torment Job, a righteous man, so you have to hang in there. God may permit it for a season but not forever. Yahweh, I come before you on behalf of Langley who admits that he has not lived a perfect life, but has now turned his life over to you. May you forgive him for his past mistakes. Cover his errors with the precious blood of your dear Son Lord Jesus Christ. Hide him behind the cross and within Jesus' wounds we do pray, Amen.

  • GRACE_ambassador {ChrisE} water baptism? - 4 years ago
Precious friend, Adam: Is water baptism for us today, Under GRACE? You say about us who 'found an answer of NO,' According To The Scriptures:

"Finally, there's always someone trying to discredit baptism as if they have a force telling them its bad or as if they're afraid of it, or have some kind of personal animosity against it, or fear of public embarrassment? I think this reaction to a direct instruction from Jesus is a noteworthy reaction in itself.

Acts 2:38 - this verse is all I need to see in the Bible. People can use lots of words, can twist things, can use unlimited anecdotes, but none of it matters, because I read Acts 2:38

and I know exactly what it says and since I'm serious about following Jesus I was baptized."

Kind of an unfair statement, is it not, about those of us saved by GRACE Through faith?

    1) Which rule of hermeneutics says to build God's Sound Doctrine on 'ONLY one verse'?

    2) I believe Scripture says The Holy Spirit is our Blessed Teacher, not 'some force telling us it bad'.

    3) We are not 'afraid of it, or have any animosity toward it' IF God Commands it to be practiced today, Under GRACE.

    4) IF we studied ALL THIRTEEN Bible baptisms, prayerfully and Carefully, According To all of God's Bible "study" Rules: Link

how is it that we 'Cannot Conclude' That God ONLY 'Has ONE (Spiritual) Baptism' Today, Under GRACE, as per Ephesians 4:5, or should we 'practice Bad Math' and ADD water, men saying TWO, When God Says 'ONE'?

IF This ONE 'Spiritual' Baptism 1 Corinthians 12:13 Is God's OPERATION, THEN why is it not

Scriptural To 'believe' "God Says There is 'NO' water baptism" Today, Under HIS Pure GRACE?

We have Several More Questions for water adherents today, IF they wish to lovingly dialogue with us...

Please, Precious friends, Be Richly Encouraged In God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided 2 Timothy 2:15 = Ends All 'Confusion'?

    Grace, Peace, Mercy, And Love...
