Hebrew 4:12
Thanks

'Blessing' being the verbal expression of love, care, appreciation, praises & prayer for the one being blessed. Genesis 24:60; Genesis 31:55; Joshua 14:13; Leviticus 9:22 as some examples.
Move the timeline to today & we find that the principles given then, still hold true today. Clearly, a follower of Christ shouldn't marry one who worships idols, but according to this practise that is seen in all of Scripture, we must be discerning as to who or what we align ourselves with or even 'yoke' (yoked as a team) with. This not only pertains to marriage, but also in business & other personal matters. Just as unevenly yoked cows or horses cannot pull the cart in correct step or in sync, so it's to be expected that those with different spiritual views & understanding of the Word will not 'pull' together in life & business properly. And I would think, in terms of marriage (whether to a RC or any other), that one would have to really understand the other's basic doctrinal position & see whether it will open up a path of conflict to your own. I know of some co-existing quite well together by making allowances/concessions - others, having very difficult marriages.
There are so many nefarious things going on in our world and most of it we are fairly unaware of even with the internet to access information. Discerning truth from lies on the internet is hard since so much is not fact checked and there is much that just isn't allowed on the internet. I do think that when the beast system come into play, it will be obvious why people are to take the mark on the hand or forehead. The digitation of so many financial, medical, personal information, etc. is just laying the groundwork for this mark to be introduced. Many embrace digital advancements so readily and are willing to sacrifice privacy and other freedoms to have convenience and quick responses.
As Christians, we need to be as wise as serpents, and as innocent as doves. I think this means to be aware of the work of the evil one; his schemes, lies, and who or what he empowers. And then to be innocent (guileless means to have pure motives. We are to conduct ourselves in honest, honorable, and loving ways. God will bless us and keep us in these times.
Those of us on this thread are trying to understand you and what you desire from this communication. In reading through, it appears to me that you may be looking for an argument or want to grind an ax with someone. Or, maybe you think you are exhorting others here. The word says to do everything in love, for love covers a multitude of sin. So, we come to you in the love of Christ. We do want to come to a meeting of the minds about your concerns.
You are right again. We cannot come to Christ on our own will. It takes a work of the Holy Spirit in us to desire God and turn to him in faith. We believe because the holy Spirit has planted faith in us to trust the veracity of the gospel. We cannot initiate a love for God on our own. We love Him because He first loved us and gave Himself for us. This is what grace does in us. it is the power of God to us for salvation, so that we can say no to wickedness and yes to godliness.
It is a work of God from start to finish. We are in the in-between time now, walking by Spirit, exhibiting the fruits of the Holy Spirit inn our lives.
then God sent me a message-word for word-HE said I will put everything back in place in your stomach-I cried again tonight-I am trying to understand what is this all about? I am still waiting.
I think you are right that many times we assume to know more about another person than we actually do, especially matters of the heart. This is damaging, because we treat the other person according to our assumptions and wound them. I think we can see the fruits of other people's faith in how they act, perhaps not 100% accurately, but, with experience, we do learn to evaluate if someone's character is trustworthy or not. It takes discernment and all believers should pray to have this, and prayerfully use it as God would will us to use it.
It seems that you may have been wounded, confused, or bothered by someone's (or many people's) expansive explanations of Scriptural matters or Christian topics. Being succinct and to the point is important and often forgotten. I am one to be guilty of long-speaking. Different personalities prefer different approaches. I think that realizing that may help you to see that people on this site mean well and hope to encourage and help others in spiritual growth and understanding. Glad you brought this topic up.
I do understand what you say about church talk. People in fellowship with each other tend to have somewhat of an internal language, phrases, etc. Same is true of believers. We often forget that not everyone gets what we say we we speak this internal language. Please forgive us when we do and you just want plain speaking. I would like to know of some things you would like more clarity on.
LaTonya- I agree in prayer with you and Grace for God's healing touch on your body as you go through these physical ailments and trials. May you feel him so close to you and be comforted by His presence. May his peace fill you with restful times amid this tumult you are going through. May He put praise upon your lips and a song in your heart to lift you up and hold you steady. Thank you for asking for prayer. It has brought me into this conversation and I am blessed to pray for you.
Jews do not accept Jesus as the Messiah. Their rabbinical literature blasphemes our Lord calling Him a bastard and his mother a whore. The teachings of the Jews is nowhere close to what the teachings of Christianity are, just as the teachings of Islam are also far from Christian teachings. People often feel an affinity for either of these two false faiths because they both trace their roots back to Abraham, but Judaism departed from Old Testament faith of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David repeatedly in the history of their people, especially since the Babylonian captivity. Judaism today is the religion of the Pharisees that Jesus condemned so harshly in his time among them. Islam claims that Ishmael is the son of promise, not Isaac and Muhammed made up undocumented tales of Abraham taking Ishmael to Mecca to the black cube, which was used for pagan worship before and during Muhammed's time. Like the Jewish rabbies, Islamic cleric participate in occultic rituals and practices. This isn't to say all Jews practice these things, but I would definitely spend some time in deep discussions with this woman and inform yourself of what she practices. Also, i would recommend researching Judaism. It is eye-opening!
I do not believe we will all look like Jesus or have His passion scars on our bodies. We will look like ourselves but in a glorified body. All mankind is made in the image of God, but we all look different. I think that this is true in our glorified bodies as well. The image of Christ in us is the perfection of our mind, body, soul, and spirit to be made holy like our Lord's. We will never be Jesus, He is both God and man. He will always be distinct from us. He is the bridegroom, we are the bride. He doesn't "marry" Himself. God has always planned to separate a people for Himself. We are this chosen race, holy priesthood, children of God. Salvation is about receiving the forgiveness of sins, being deemed righteous by the covering of Jesus' righteousness, justified before our Father in heaven; but it is also about the redemption of our bodies, being changed from corruptible to un-corruptible. We will no longer sin, but instead continually do God's will. We will love to do as God wills,, love what is good, love one another, and love God above all else. This is what heaven is all about, to the glory of Good
I cans ay that you say many things I agree with, but also, you say many things that I cannot support. the Spirit in me sends up "red flags" of caution when I encounter statements that are counter to long held doctrine. I believe the Spirit will teach us. He taught the apostles and Paul and inspired their writings so that we can read these writings and know the truth. The Spirit teaches from His revealed Word. History shows the destructive results of teachings of people who are convinced that their words are from the Holy Spirit when they plainly are not. I am not trying to be critical of you. I just want to warn you to be more careful in what you post and how far you travel down a rabbit hole of "hidden" meanings in Scripture.
Gods word is enduring and to be taken with fear and reverence, to love Gods word is to understand it .
If any of you lack wisdom , let him ask of God
Notice it did not say ask another person !
Proverbs says wisdom is the principle thing .
It's also said that only the wise can learn .
So I encourage anyone to ask God through Jesus name to grant you wisdom to understand his word and ways .
If you miss this you will be subject to men and the many so called that are deceived.
But ask in faith , God is faithful , you will be surprised to find many things are not so as you heard .
But the truth will set you free !
