Hi Diane , I enjoyed your post a lot , thankyou , you are so right , the Bible is a progressive revelation . I've been reading it for a long time and I'm still learning , I love that so much . Thanks again .

Hi Matt , this is why we should never ever judge each other . We have no idea what other people have been through in their lives . All of our experiences in this life affect the way we view this world and every thing in it and everything leaves its mark on us . Half the time I don't know why I do and say the things I do so how the heck can I ever judge some one else . God knows us better than we can ever know our own selves . He remembers everything about us . All of our fears and insecurities are open books to Him . He is infinite in His knowledge of all of His creation . I believe this site is very important , it's helping all of us to learn and grow together and it's no bad thing that we don't all agree all the time . We feed each other and provoke each other , if we all agreed all the time this site wouldn't be as interesting or as helpful as it is . Matthew Ch 18 , V 20 .

Hi Rick . I'm sorry to say that a relative of mine worked for the company you mentioned . They have done a lot of bad stuff . Petroleum is every where and it causes so many awful illnesses . I honestly don't understand why some people are obsessed with accumulating wealth . It's pointless , my Grandma used to say that : there are no pockets in a shroud . Most of my family are quite materialistic , I guess we all are to some extent but for some people it's all they ever think and talk about . Money is a pretty dull subject for me .

So, Christians and Jews are unequally yoked. Are Christians and Catholics unequally yoked or does the Christian church permit them to marry?

As a Child I was taught that verse by my Mother which has always made me see myself as a 'Doorkeeper' ( someone special ) and also gave me a great sense of being loved throughout my life. Thank you for sharing.

    Hi Gary,

A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. This is foundational to Christianity. Since Jews do not believe in the divinity of Christ, or His resurrection, or that He's Lord, or in the gospel or New Testament, Jews are not followers of Jesus Christ and thus are not Christians, and are unbelievers according to the Bible. That is a major difference and is absolutely unequal. Even satan and his demons believe in God, so believing in God alone won't save anyone. God bless.
  • Gary Hower on 2 Corinthians 6 - 4 years ago
A Christian believes that Jesus Christ was the son of God, and was resurrected. A Jew believes Jesus existed but was does not believe he has the son of God and was resurrected. So, if a Christian forms a loving relationship with a Jew, are they unequally yoked? Or, are the equally yoked because they both believe in God even though they do NOT both believe in Jesus?

    Please help

    Hi Charles,

I agree with Mishael and S Spencer, the sacrifice of Jesus as the "Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world" replaced all the animal sacrifices and other physical rituals and ceremonies temple rituals and laws for the Aaron priesthood to completion they performed at the Temple of God in Jerusalem.

If you look at the Feast of the First Fruits will help, Leviticus 23:9-14. Eating any of the grain of the first harvest is not permitted until a sample sheaf is gathered and brought to the Temple at sunrise, the first day after the Sabbath following the Passover Day. This was the same day Jesus resurrected. Jesus ascended the same time the priest was waving the sheaf of grain from the first harvest for acceptance by God.

When Jesus first ascended to heaven, he presented himself and was accepted by God the First Fruits of them that slept. This explains why Mary Magdalene could not touch Jesus before he ascended because no one could partake of him before God accepted him. This may have been when He placed His own blood in the holy of holies, Hebrews 9:11-17. He came right back down and appeared to the women on their way to tell the disciples Jesus had resurrected, and we see they could touch Him then. Matthew 28:9-10.

This day is also the first day of counting each day of the seven Sabbaths, the first day after the seventh Sabbath was day 50, The Feast of Weeks, the day we call Pentecost the second harvest. The First Fruits, the shadow of things to come, it came when Jesus resurrected and ascended to the Father. This made it possible for the second harvest in 50 days, Pentecost, the First Fruits of the Spirit.

    God bless,

Dear Brothers of Hope of Everlasting Life in Jesus Christ. So that I am clear, I believe the reign of Jesus Christ is now only. It is His Kingdom and he rules over all other kingdoms by His Power. He sends the Holy Spirit to reign in every believer's heart in His behalf until time is no more. He will meet His believers whether asleep in the Kingdom or awake in the Kingdom, in the air. The Lord's work is finished regarding the earth. All that remains is His bountiful earthly harvest for those that abide in Him in His Kingdom of Peace. In Jude there is an account where it was nearly impossible to speak the truth as a likeness of truth was being mimicked. This is Satan's work while time remains.

I do not support the brother's conclusions and likely many do not support by the Peace in me, my own.

Hi Chris What you just shared is part of whats going on not reported behind the scenes so to speak, in africa the monsanto corporation very corrupt has made a chemical to help the soil develop crops problem is once its in the soil 3 years the soil is dead and can't grow anything. The success of our enemy is the secrecy of what he does behind closed doors. I know the only ones standing in the gap are us who are born again and interceding or praying for others, we are indeed the salt of the world.

Brother Earl may Christ bless us and increase us in His heavenly wisdom.

I have been reading many of your posts over the last 6 months and am in agreement with much of the what you have said as inspired by Him. Funny thing is that I had been meaning to to ask you the same thing that English Sachs said also. I believe 1 John 2:27 similar as God grants us more insight as we mature in Him. When I became a man I put away the childish things. Or more recently as when the day star rises in you.

Anyway, what about Act 1:9-11, I am still still believing that there will be some in flesh that repopulate the earth during His reign. Or in Zechariah where His feet will touch the mount and split the earth.

Also, believe in the resurrection of the just and unjust.

We could also put on in a moment and twinkling of and eye our celestial bodies and still be here like Christ on the road to Emmanus. Very soon the heavens will be rolled back like a scroll!

Mainly just wanted to know what you thought about Acts 1:9-11.

May we all have great patience and love for one another as we move forward and upward in Christ!

May God bless you brother Earl

I really don't understand what you are saying, selah is a word, there is letters numbers and words. Why are you trying to confused people. don't think it's more wiser to tell people the meaning of the word selah. Don't think it's better to let people be there own individual who God has made. If the writer of the old testament, see it fit to put it there who are you to decide that you should not use it or it should not be there or it is not a word. The Bible said holy men move as God gives them utterance. The reason why the church is in the place that it is today. It is because everybody want to rewrite over the word of God God give no man that authority, the Bible said do not add to his word neither take away from his word. Rev.22:18.. God resist the proud and he give more grace to the humble, James4:6 too much proud man and woman is on pulpit, and taking people to hell. God is the same yesterday today and forever more. Enough is enough we need to get back to the true and living God, his word is truth. Sanctify them through your truth, his word is truth. John 17:17 his true shall be my shield and buckle. Psalm 91: 4 God bless all

    Hi Charles D.

I also hold the view that Mishael holds.

I have also heard that He meant for her to not cling on to him, They both may be true,, I don't see neither view voiding one another. The reason and Emphasis seems to be on him first ascending to the Father

John 20:16-17. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

( Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; FOR I AM NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER: )

but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
