I mentioned the rocking chair, swing, and walking, not in an occultic way, as those who practice the occult do use repetitive movements with chanting to induce trancelike states of mind, but because the gentle movement and cadence is soothing and calms a person down and helps a person concentrate on the task of meditating and using God's Word. And just like these activities are repetitive, repeating a verse of Scripture for memorization is, too. It has to do a bit with brain science where you engage more brain pathways this way than simply reading and aids the learning process. It is helpful for some people, and for others, perhaps more distracting.

We can ask God for angels to walk with us in times of trial. We don't "talk with them." They respond to God's will, not ours.

Hi Gigi Those people who told you what God told them to tell you God would have told you first, and it would be identical to what he told you. Years ago I ran an automotive shop and early in the morning everything I touched went south so asking God what to to he said go home take the day off tomorrow get a fresh start. Not heeding for an hour I talked to another believer about something else and he said go home and take the day off tomorrow get a fresh start. To say the least that got my attention I closed shop and was busy went home relaxed went back the next day and had the midas touch. God protecting and helping again overriding my hard head.

In Genesis 3:21 when God clothed Adam and Eve with coats of skin is a shadow of the sacrifice of Jesus and when we accept this gift we are clothed with the garment of salvation, the robe of righteousness, white and spotless. This is the first time in scripture where God gives the penalty for murder. The penalty for taking a life is the death of the murderer. When the life of a person is taken. God will require the punishment of death, whether the one who kills a person is a man or an animal. You will find this in Genesis 9.

Chris The clear words or information to believers your speaking about is revelation or revealed knowledge which cannot be known by the 5 senses it is not thinking things through it is not analytical it is God giving specific instruction or guidance as what to say or act or do in a specific situation. The example that comes to mind when Joshua got to Jericho he was told by God he would take it over that was prophetic now the carrying out of how. Joshua 6-1-21 the rest of the revelation to be carried out is the details trumpets the marching and the big one everyone obeying what Joshua was being told. I guarantee you if he wouldn't have done what he was told or the people would not have listened no Go. When Naaman was told by the prophet to go dip in Jordan 7 times revealed knowledge who to go where to go why to go what to do and what will happen and I'll guarantee you if he would have dipped six times no healing. Hi Gigi I like you am very leary of these statements made by any individual, you don't boast it as we know by there fruits we shall know them. I was invited to a [charismatic assembly] where the pastor after a bunch of stuff occurred loud and out of order came out to the pulpit picked up a phone receiver and then hung up and told the people that God was telling him what to teach on. When everything was said and done the guy who invited my wife and I said so what do you think i simply replied we never got into the scripture and were never taught anything out of Gods Word and there was no order, so whats the profit. Like I said the examples as to what scripture state are way out of line, it reminds me of Jeremiah 2:13 MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED BECAUSE OF A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE

I now understand , with my heart and mind what these two scriptures mean : Ezekiel Ch 11 v 19 and 2nd Peter Ch 1 v 19 . Thank you so much for opening my eyes and ears and heart and mind . Hi Laura Something that my wife pointed out to me which I forgot God can talk to you audibly but what he says only you will hear and this is a big one it is lock box information a lot of times for you and you only unless God tells you to tell someone else or if we are not listening God can tell someone to tell you but it will be the same thing he already told you, how loving is that. Hello prayer warriors, we are the Daniel family (Wes, Cass & Royal) and i use this website for answers in how to deal with things in life but ive never needed more help than last night. I just ask that someone prays one good time for my husband he has never been responsible and has been sober for the first time in 9 years and his cousin started working with him at his uncles concrete business. His cousin and my husband a only a few other Daniel members have been the only members in our community to 'act out' while my husband and some grew up his cousin remained bad. My prayer request is that his cousin finds help because he has offered to my recovering husband more than once at work my husband is the hardest worker there and under appreciated in my opinion. I also ask for strength he quit in May before my birthday and evil of course has tempted. I try to be open and have faith and hope but i admit im weak. We both grew up in the church so we do believe in miracles. Im only 24 and i have been with him thru the worst parts of the problems he has and living here with his mom and ex step dad who has done horrible things to him is a trigger. They couldnt care less which pains him and triggers more. I know hes hurting but he wont open up and talk to me. I am very lost and alone now all over again i havent felt this way since 2017 when i packed up to leave, but didnt. Im just so lost yall. Please pray for my family. Please pray for us to stay strong and to be open with each other because this man is too good of a man to just throw away. I know without me and our baby boy he would be dead and if we left he would have no reason to stay clean for anyone. I just need help im out of energy and my heart cant handle it anymore. Hi William Positive thinking reflects is everything we do, Gods Word says as a man thinketh in his heart[innermst part of his being] so is he. That's why it says in proverbs 4:23 keep or guard thy heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Also what you dwell on or constantly think about reflects on what you act on and what you act on determines outcome. If you surround yourself with negative people there is only one outcome. As the saying goes you can't sore with eagles if you work around buzzards. The Highest level of positive thinking is it is written because it is the knowledge of God.

Yes Kent , God uses us to be angels to others and we can be talking to an angel and not know it . Every time you help some one who needs your help then you are acting as an angel to them . Have there have been times in your life when you have needed help but thought the situation was hopeless ? Then , suprise suprise , something happens , some one does something that changes the whole situation and your circumstances improve . God knows how to look after His own . Trust Him pray to Him and wait for the answer .

Both. Sometimes it's an actual voice, like in times of extreme danger, or sometimes a feeling or thought. But that feeling or thought must be in accordance to what we know God would say or do. It would never suggest anything contrary to God's commandments.

It is called personal revelation in my church when it applies to individuals. It is called prophecy when it comes to church leaders with priesthood authority for the general welfare of the church or world.

Hello Laura P.S. Focus on the Church Epistles Romans through Thessalonians they are written to the church us in the age of Grace and have the knowledge in them of what we have in Christ in the age of grace. An interesting note the church epistles always start with Grace Mercy and Peace all given by God to us spiritually.

Hello Laura First you must be born again,[confess Romans 10:9+10 and believe it in your heart] also the information will never contradict Gods Word, it will always be a profit to you and Glorify Him. In James 3:17 The wisdom that is from above is first pure then peaceable gentle and easy to be intreated full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy. God works with you individually, you can just know what to do a gut feeling, always a still small voice, and stay peaceful and focused.It will always be decent and in order no confusion, any confusion wrong source. Many times early in my walk I would ask myself where did that thought come from but then I carried it out and I was blessed. Also something to keep in mind theres a lot of horse sense to walking with God Think Phillipians 4:6-8 As much of Gods Word you know the better and remember Phillipians 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He knows us better than we do our hard part is believing that. Last thing do whats written because if you don't do what you can see how can you believe what you can't see. Remember the bible is God Talking also only in print.
