Richman does not feed the homeless who hungers (Lazarus).

Both men die and one goes to heaven and one to hell.

Richman in hell begs much like Lazarus when they were both alive.

Richman ask Abraham to save his brethen who are like him so they may repent and change their ways.

Abraham says they have Moses and the prophets. If they don't listen to them how will they listen to me?

    Great read.

The Spirit is Willing but the Flesh is Weak part two . If I obeyed my urges I would be a totally different person . My urges / desires are to eat a lot ,drink a lot of wine and have my flat full of cats . That's who I am naturally . If I hadn't met my husband I'm sure that's who I would be now . There may be a reason for my desire to over eat , when I was a child I ate my meal (just one a day ) with my dad , when he had finished his food he took my plate away also , if I tried to eat fast to compensate he would smack me for being greedy and take my plate away . So , my relationship with food was a bit tarnished , I recognised that I had to control my urge to over eat and I'm mostly successful and have stayed reasonably slim but it hasn't been easy . You have to have the desire to curb your urges . You have to recognise that your urges can be your enemy if you allow them to control you and lead you down dark paths . However , when the general society tells you it's ok to indulge your urges , it's legal , it's your right etc , that just makes things even harder for people who are struggling with themselves . As far as I'm concerned if a single Christian is celibate then their sexuality is irrelevant and homosexuality is a sin like all the others , no better or worse . I believe that God understands me far better than I shall ever understand myself , I am very thankful for His kindness and mercy which He shows me every day . May God continue to be very generous and merciful to us all every day .

The Spirit is Willing but the Flesh is Weak . With regards to homosexuality : sex is a physical desire / urge . We all have urges , there are lots of different ones . I don't believe homosexuality is a choice . I have to be honest and say out loud that I don't really like men . I would always choose female company over male company . However , nothing on this earth could make me be intimate with a woman . As young women , my best friend and I had totally different taste , she liked short skinny hairless men I liked the total opposite . Who knows why ? We cannot over estimate the amount of sexual abuse of very young people that goes on every day all over the world and the catastrophic affect this has on impressionable vulnerable young children . It can and often does totally warp their sexual development and if they are not helped to deal with it it can be disastrous for them . Obviously not all homosexuals were sexually abused . Sex is a natural urge , it's up to us how we satisfy it or even if we do or don't .

Please pray that God will heal me from diabetes, high blood pressure and being over weight. I am struggling in those areas and I also need a big financial blessing to get my own home and to pay off my debtors. I also need prayer in my understanding of the word of God and how to get the materials I need to study his word deeper. Also, please pray that God will save my family and heal them mentally, physically and help them financially in Jesus name. Amen!

Hi Gigi Some added incite James 1:13 God can't be tempted neither tempt he any man, the word tempt in Genesis 22:1 there is the word nasah which is to try or prove. When Gods word is followed he proves or shows what he can and will do which was Abrahams great example of Believing what he said to do. But to try and tempt God would be to go against what is written and expect him to bail you out. Perhaps some added perspective.

Chris To state with any kind of absolution that Gods Word says that there are no apostles or prophets now when I don't see literally written is taking unfounded liberty. I endeavor not to add or subtract what is not written but was is written is God gave all five gift ministries to the church in this the age of grace which is still in operation and I have met men operating in these capacities. It Is Written

Brother Chris In Ephesians 4:11 is written in this the age of grace the body of Christ which is still active that the reason for apostles prophets evangelists pastors and teachers is for the edifying or building up of the church which is still in existence, so therefore these ministries still have to be in operation in the body of Christ. I don't read anywhere in scripture where it says the apostolic age ended. I in fact I never read in Gods Word apostolic age?
  • David - In Reply on Psalms 23 - 4 years ago
Hi Gerry The 23 psalm is perhaps the most well known and for good reason, through out it God uses the analogy of the shepherd in regards to how God takes care of us who believe. The shepherds profession was to take total care of his flock in verse four the principle is no matter where the sheep went the shepherd had a staff that he used on the sheep to nudge or guide the and to ward off predators, he never beat or yelled at the flock because sheep are by nature gentle. Notice verse two He maketh them to lie down in green pastures beside still waters, it says still waters because sheep will not drink out of load rushing waters for them to flourish they need peaceful surroundings. This same analogy is used by Jesus Christ in the Gospels as being the true Shepherd and his sheep Know and hear his Voice.

Jesus is walking in Solomon's porch, a place where people would gather and visit , right outside the temple yard.

Their are some of those who wish to know more about Him, so they must meet Him their!

Tell us plainly who u are!

Sheep will follow the shepherd, they will hear His voice! How simple, how perfect are His ways!

Even while He tells them who He is, it is still not the answer they are looking for!

Doing things plainly is not God's way! If you know these things, or He has revealed these things unto you, How should you be?

    Repent and be baptized! F.E.S.

Dear dear "Ruben". Today i got this word too you, and thank yout too come forward with this huge case. Soo i can deliver the word too u. Now that Jesus Christ is the same today as yesterday. He loves u and will never leave u .

Hebrews 8.8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Jeremiah 31.33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:

Amen, come back right now u are precious ill pray.

Hello Gwen. In Ephesians 4:11-13, the Apostle Paul shows us how the Church, Christ's Body, would be comprised - for the building up of His Church. So, in this respect, both men & women can be so equipped by Christ's Spirit to be used of Him. However, in respect to "apostles & prophets", we can keep in mind that the apostolic line ended with the death of the last apostle (John), & the prophetic word (i.e. the true Word from God about future events) also ended at the Book of the Revelation. But the other appointments within the Church still go on (evangelists, pastors & teachers) & will do so till Jesus comes for His Church.

However, maybe you're thinking of women being pastors, as in leading the congregation & teaching from the Word. Then the Apostle Paul speaks again, to Pastor Timothy this time, in 1 Timothy 2:11-13, that as much as women too can teach from the Word, they are to refrain from doing so when in the Church. The word "pastor" means 'shepherd'. Certainly, women can shepherd others in their Christian walk, as there can be many 'pastors' in the Church (men & women). However, today, that word, 'Pastor', is generally applied to a 'Shepherd cum Teacher cum Preacher' when this appointment wouldn't be permissible for women. That is why Elders were appointed in every Church ( Acts 14:23), & they alone were given charge of the teaching, leadership & oversight of their congregations. Today, we see a number of congregations that have women taking charge of them & teaching from the pulpit. I can only refer to the Scriptures in response - they & the Churches will have to give account to God.

    Testimony

From the earliest moments of my childhood, I have suffered through much physical, emotional, and mental abuse that derived from my father and others surrounding me. These abuses led me to be unhappy for most of my childhood. Not only was I unhappy, but I was also failing school, getting into trouble, and overall, living a miserable life. Though, my life changed forever when I began going to church. At church, I found the hope that I was long searching for, the Lord Jesus. Once I was saved, at a very young age, praise the Lord, my life was noticeably better. My father stopped abusing me, my grades began bettering, and my life became whole. Without the Lord, I wouldn't be living the life I have now, or possibly not be living at all. The Lord also humbled me immensely during the process of working on my life, and continues to work on me with such a great faithfulness unto me. The word of God, the free gift of salvation of the Lord, and all his undeserving blessings unto me are enough proof to me that he loves us all. The Lord has not only saved my soul, but has saved my life.

Thank you for re-living that wonderful portion of Scripture for us. Re: John 8:56, I would include John 8:56-58. In just three verses, Jesus speaks about life after death; that Abraham though now long dead in the flesh, was alive in spirit to be witness to Jesus' coming to Earth. As well, Jesus speaks about His pre-human existence: "Before Abraham was (even existed), I am". Is it any wonder that the Jews took up stones to destroy Him? Wonderful Truths that many, even today, will reject or twist to their belief.

And that "downswing of his arm" was probably the point when full trust & commital gave way to any speck of doubt or fear. And that was a micro-second in duration, reminding us that the Lord's timing can never be wrong.
