Sandtovia S Wright I give you words of encouragement. Yahweh promised to be our strength in all our weakness. So when you are at your weakest point that's when Yahweh is that his strongest for you. He cares for you! Sincerely, your brother in Christ.

Yahweh, I come before you in the name of your dear son Lord Jesus Christ. May you please be there for Marilyn Ritchie's whole family. Watch over them, lead them, protect them, and guide them in all your ways. Please give Marilyn understanding and wisdom of your holy word and your ways so that she may prosper and gain eternal life. I ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Dear Nic, just noticed your other comment. If you haven't made a decision to follow Jesus already, then now is the time. I don't believe you've blown it based on the limited info I've heard. Please read my last post with the verses and check this out. You have no downside and practically unlimited upside to following Jesus (if you haven't already). In other words the pro/con and risk/reward in business terms should be the easiest decision ever: Link

I suggest praying and asking for peace and understanding.

If you're referring to something you thought or did before you came to know the Lord, then I personally don't believe you are guilty of this. I think it's closer to the opposite of what the other commenter said. I think it's especially for Christians who already 'know better' and already know the truth, then reject it to the point of calling good evil and evil good and claiming evil motives- perhaps like an ultimate betrayal, and it might also involve denying the holy spirit within you. I hesitate to even write this as an example. A clear example of this blaspheming is Matthew 12:24 by the Pharisees. Jesus logically refuted it, but it's unclear whether He was saying the Pharisees then had no chance to go to heaven, because I don't believe they had true knowledge of the truth yet. I think it's possible Judas committed this as well. It's possible Peter committed this, but was forgiven in a special circumstance, possibly.

My Biblical support for this is Hebrews 10:26 and 2 Peter 2:20-22 and 1 Timothy 1:13 and Hebrews 6:4-6 and Luke 23:34. Maybe more here: Link

This is my personal opinion. Romans 1:20 could be used to suggest otherwise, but it's my opinion that it is only concerning knowing there's a God, not necessarily having the full truth of Jesus Christ and the holy spirit and then denying. I also don't believe falling away qualifies. I think we're talking about a full on rejection and I hate even the thought while writing this, but if it couldn't happen Jesus would not have warned us about it. God bless.

Sister GiGi, When the Spirit causes me (everyone) to respond to HIS WILL we may think that the verses we respond with is our works and our knowledge; but this not true, the Spirit cause us to bring to mind the scriptures he wills to be revealed. We are just THE POT. Just as the Holy men of old wrote what God willed them to write we do the same.

The scriptures I quoted came from the Spirit causing me to quote those scriptures that he willed.

All the comments and scriptures you (the pot) have given; were not actually from you, but the potter.

Isaiah 59:21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My Spirit (the Father's) that is upon thee (the Son), and my words (the Father's) which I have put in thy (the Son's) mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy (the Son's) SEED, nor out of the mouth of thy SEED'S SEED, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

WE are being CREATED in HIS IMAGE ( Romans 8:29)( 1 Corinthians 15:49).

Psalms 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people that shall be CREATED shall praise the Lord.

Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy SPIRIT, they are CREATED: and thou renewest the face of the earth.

I believe this is a principal that is biblical when we look into GOD's promises, HIS WORD, the accounts where GOD moves in & stops evil, changes events that seem impossible, overcoming. Exodus, Genesis, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Ester, etc.

    Mathew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33, Psalm 37:1-40,

    2 Corinthians 5:17, Isaiah 48:6, Revelation 21:5, 2 Peter 3:13, Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:1,

    Mathew 6:30-33

Hopefully this is helpful & encouraging.

Hello Jesse, A confirmation. Wasn't there an unwritten law before Moses? Adam was commanded, on pain of death, not to eat from that tree. As a result, humans have the same desire as Adam, "You shall be as gods." It was an unwritten law, but it brought death, "The wages of sin is death." What sin did Adam commit? God created him with a personality and certain characteristics as a human. The one thing God did not give him was independence from God. Eating the fruit was for the purpose of being independent from God.

Everyone is born with this tendency to commit evil, to live according to our own wishes. Like everyone else, a pagan is only lost when he lives according to his will. Can God save a pagan that has not even heard of Him? Of Course! How is that? "The just shall live by faith." God can reach a pagan the way He does anyone. He gives the gift of faith. He can bring a person to trust and belief, by our created world, to know a Great Power exist and has made Himself known. If that pagan gives himself to that higher power, he may be ones of those, when he gets into the kingdom, that knows nothing of Christ and His story. Zechariah 13:5, "And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends." It is true that Jesus is the Light that lights everyone that comes into the world, even pagans.

Hi Chris, Hi, the "torment" being used for 'testing', in your understanding, does this 'testing' continue eternally without any finality to their judgement?" On Jeremiah 31:34, I am referring to Micah 7:18-20 refers to the remnant of God, "Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." The wicked have no part nor have another opportunity for redemption. The "testing" is given by God for the redeemed sake. God's judgment is final. It is not a testing time for unbelievers, but for the saints to know why our loved ones are not with us.

The "stone" referred to in Mathew 21 was used for joining two walls together, you are correct. Also, I see Matthew 21:24 emphasizing the result of rejecting the stone that crushes them. This is the way I view the Greek Lithos, Strong NT 928 and NT 939 in both Matthew and Revelation 20:10. Since the wicked are raised from their fiery grave, why do they need a second judgement? Have they not been previously suffering under the flames of eternity, some for thousands of years?

This is not a testing time to see if the lost get another chance at salvation. When the Books are opened, there will be no doubt why the lost are lost. We will be able to read the facts for ourselves. I cannot understand Revelation 20:10 and the raising of the wicked for any other reason.

I enjoy our study together. "Iron sharpens iron." Please continue to share your thoughts on the subject. Or any other topic of interests you may have. Blessings!

    Dale,

Yes, that's what it means. You cannot be held to a law if it does not exist. In Romans 5:13, it tells us that sin was not imputed before the law was given because nobody knew what sin was even though sin was still there. If there is no law saying you cannot steal, you cannot murder, could you still be arrested for those things? If there's no law, what can they arrest you for?

However, there was and still is a consequence for sin. The consequence was death. From Adam to Moses, before the law was given, people were still dying. Even though there was no law showing them their sin, there was still a consequence. It says that death reigned from Adam to Moses even though there was no law. Everybody from Adam to Moses died. That's a consequence of the sin. We physically die too because of that.

As far as judgment, everyone will be judged the same. No one will ever be able to stand before God with the excuse "I never knew." Romans 1:20 tells us that they will have no excuse. Psalm 19:1-4 says "The heavens declare the glory of God. And the firmament shows His handy work. Day unto day utters speech and night unto night shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard." So verse 3 tells us that there's no language or speech that God's creation cannot reach. Creation itself is a testimony that there is a God, a creator.

In John 1:9, he talks about Jesus Christ, that He was the true light which lighteth, or enlightens every man that cometh into the world. The word lighteth in that verse means to illuminate or to enlighten. He enlightens every single person that comes into this life. That doesn't mean that He puts understanding in their brain. It means that He manifests those attributes about Himself to our spirit, to the conscience, and man has a response. We might be totally oblivious to the response but we have one.

    Adam:

This causes me trouble because, that may mean that I cannot be forgiven. I have had blasphemous thoughts about the Holy Spirit and evil thoughts that I regret but Jesus said that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. Sometimes there was temptation other times ruminating on thoughts. I feel empty and anxious and have been mentally all over the place for a while. So I am not sure what to do with my life. It is written that will never be forgiven and I feel so far from Christ. Thank you for your frankness.

Beware of anyone claiming your thoughts aren't your own thoughts or your sins aren't your own sins. This doesn't come from the Bible nor from God. Satan will tempt us but we are fully responsible for our choices. 'Satan made me do it' is just another clever lie from satan.

Also beware of anyone claiming that you can't commit a certain type of sin if you're a Christian. Anyone can commit blasphemy of the holy spirit and we indeed need to watch what we say to avoid sinning. Anyone claiming it's no big deal or that Christians can't commit certain sins, as if there's an invisible force field or as if our freewill to choose is removed, is simply untrue. Watch out for false teachings. If blasphemy wasn't a big deal Jesus wouldn't have warned everyone about it. Jesus warned everyone to avoid sin repeatedly, over and over.

God is very, very forgiving, but we must follow Him! Keep in mind that Paul, one of the best evangelists for Christianity, previously murdered Christians. We must give it our 100% to avoid sin and obey! Some are uncomfortable with this as they feel like they're giving up freedom or being controlled, or they heard at a sermon once that good works or effort is bad. But that's not from the Bible. The Bible says to become slaves of righteousness. Jesus says if you love Him then obey his commandments. Some falsely assume that means you're 'earning' heaven. Nope, doesn't mean that. Christianity is an active pursuit to be like Jesus. Those who are luke warm should be concerned. It says in the Bible many times to fear God. Some of this is explained in Hebrews 6 and many other places (the entire book is even better). God bless.

    DALE E STAHLBERG,

From the first Adam, all have sinned Romans 5:12. Even without the law we have sinned, there are people in this world that do much evil and there are people in this world that do much good and neither have never seen a bible or heard of Jesus. From the first Adam, not only death was passed, every person is born with the knowledge of good and evil, it is written in our conscience. With or without the knowledge of the law, one may choose to either do evil or do good.

We see in Romans 2:12-15, read the entire chapter. Jesus first came almost 2000 years ago, the Messiah for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then by the grace of God, the gospel of Jesus was given to all the other nations. Millions of people lived and died before He first came, are they doomed to eternal death? Millions since have never heard of Him, are they doomed?

What we should contemplate, will we that have heard the gospel of Jesus be held to a higher standard of judgment? We see when Jesus sent the disciples out to tell people the kingdom of heaven is at hand, what it would be like if they rejected it. Matthew 10:14-15.

Many see the great white throne judgment is only for the lost, but in my understanding, scripture does not support that. We have Daniel 12:2 John 5:28-29 Matthew 25:31-46, and more, and the parables. After the one thousand years, Revelation 20:11-15. All the rest of the dead small and great, raised from the dead, they will be judged out of the books and one of these books is the book of life, and whoever was not found in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire. Would the book of life be needed if all were lost? God is a just God and we can trust in His word.

This is my understanding, may others have another view.

    God bless,

    RLW

Dale It's not that they didn't sin or break fellowship when there was no law it's that they didn't sin intentionally mankind since the downfall are under sin born that way but before the law there were righteous men Noah that were taught what to believe and did there best to live accordingly. That's why they were made righteous by God or like Noah found grace in Gods eyes. That's why man is without excuse, we were built to walk with God so those who reject knowingly do so. By grace the law was given by God to instruct man as to how to live and what not to do. Something that was told me i never forgot if you don't believe and act on what you can see Gods Word which is instruction in righteousness how can you possibly listen to the spirit that you can't see. Before the law Gods word was passed down through the believing line Adam seth Noah Abraham so on.

I was 11 , when they banned the Bible The Ten Commandments, from all schools. We could NOT say the Lords Prayer, nor put our hands over our hearts and pledge allegiance to the FLAG of the United States of America.

That's what America once, was like. Pure, simple.

Children these days will never have that UNLESS the parents and grandparents perform the blessing in their homes. Deuteronomy 28 spells out the curses to follow if we do not teach our children about a loving God, and His son who took their place on the Cross.

If all they see in the home is a closed Bible sitting on a shelf, it's not going to mean anything to them. Public school will produce more atheists.

In 1948, Israel became a State. Which began a clock counting down on the LAST GENERATION of people.

    Evangelize your children. Mishael

Kids can watch SUPER BOOK animated videos on YouTube. I think they're great. My grandson watches them.

Fred The reason why there are four Gospels is mathew magnifies Jesus christ as the Perfect king of Kings so the genealogy is the royal line, in Mark Jesus Christ is shown as the perfect servant to man on luke He's the perfect Man and the genealogy amplifies that in the Gospel of John He is the son of God. The number 4 biblically pertains to the world hence His Ministry on earth. There are several tremendous teachings on this subject matter in much more detail.

In two landmark decisions - Engel v. Vitale on June 25, 1962, and Abington School District v. Schempp on June 17, 1963 - the Supreme Court declared school-sponsored prayer and Bible readings unconstitutional. The rulings provoked unprecedented controversy, says Melissa Deckman, affiliated scholar with the Public Religion Research Institute in Washington, D.C. "School boards got so paranoid about dealing with religion that they just said, 'We shouldn't do any of that at all,' " she says.

Schempp, 374 U.S. 203 (1963), was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court decided 8-1 in favor of the respondent, Edward Schempp on behalf of his son Ellery Schempp, and declared that school-sponsored Bible reading in public schools in the United States was unconstitutional.

Madalyn Murray O'Hair was an American activist, supporting atheism and separation of church and state. See the article in its original context from June 27, 2002, Section A, Page 1.

A federal appeals court here declared today that the Pledge of Allegiance is unconstitutional because the phrase ''one nation under God'' violates the separation of church and state.

In a decision that drew protest across the political spectrum, a three-member panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled that the pledge, as it exists in federal law, could not be recited in schools because it violates the First Amendment's prohibition against a state endorsement of religion.

In addition, the ruling, which will certainly be appealed, turned on the phrase ''UNDER GOD'' which Congress added in 1954 to one of the most hallowed patriotic traditions in the nation.

From a constitutional standpoint, those two words, Judge Alfred T. Goodwin wrote in the 2-to-1 decision, were just as objectionable as a statement that ''we are a nation 'under Jesus,' a nation under Zeus, a nation 'under no god, because none of these professions can be neutral with respect to religion.

Brother Dale, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

Is not the last day, the day the body of flesh ceases to exist.

Everyone in FLESH has a last day and a last trumpet (the voice of God saying come up here), death is swallowed up in life, this is the first death and first resurrection.

Those that haven't been chosen to believe in this age will die and lay in the grave until the second resurrection back to flesh and then will die the second death (judged in CHRIST and CAUSED to believe and confess Christ as Lord).

Philippians 1:29 For it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only TO BELIEVE ....

Christ gives this to ALL MEN at his (Christ appointed time): a FEW in this AGE and to the rest after this age and the age to come.

Yes, David, I agree it is wholly spiritual. With today's society being so much open to "different" lifestyles, I can see that people are being led into these deceptive and degrading lifestyles more than in the time my sisters grew into adulthood. "cool" to be in such lifestyles and "special". So sad. It is very difficult for people to leave this lifestyle to follow Jesus once they have developed their identity in it. Sodom shows us that.

    Good morning Chris,

I have not traveled farther than my neighboring states, except one trip to Hawaii. I am thankful for those who have gone far and wide to different countries and cultures to minister in minister as the Lord has directed them. I understand the obstacles you mentioned for the peoples of Pakistan. My sister-in-law from Africa is a Christian and she has told me about the poverty and lack of basics we take for granted. Also, she has told me how occultists will go to the homes of Christians and speak curses to the households. Many became sick or had a serious accident or died. She is inspiring as a woman who know the desperate need of prayer in these situations. There is also a significant population of Muslims in sub-Sahara Africa and girls and women are oftentimes kidnapped to be made wives whether these females are Muslims or not. They are often abused. Her sister died from domestic abuse,, being trapped in such a "marriage".

Blasphemy or Unpardonable Sin, may CHRIST IN US grave us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

You said: no one today can commit the unpardonable sin, yet you go on to say if we REJECT Christ (The WORD) the Holy Spirit also known as Holy Ghost) you will spend eternity (eternity should be translated THE AGE) apart from him.

Rejecting Christ (the WORD) is the unpardonable sin (in this age and the age to come) of blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

    Thanks Chris,

I enjoyed teaching the young ones fresh into the school environment. I was able to bring Jesus too them in my and demeanor even if the public school environment restricts teachers from speaking openly about their faith. However, students are free to express their ideas on this matter and then I can respond when they bring something up. Parents have sensed my faith and shared with me their Christian faith and then I can share more. These parents express gratitude that their dear one will be taught by someone who loves Jesus like they do.

Now is the time for me to share my learnings with other adults as we build one another up in out faith. So glad that the Lord led me to this site and am thankful for the depth and breadth of the sections besides the Scripture text. This provides many avenues for us to help one another even though it is not in person.
