Brother Carleton, I'm not quite understanding. We can not teach from heaven as we are out of order, we teach in earth where our daily walk remains in order.

You are correct God's word is the recipe, and all the ingredients are there, but the finished product want come until we leave this flesh.

We eat the bread and drink the water every day.

Are you saying there is no way of knowing what will take place when we leave this body of flesh.

I BELIEVE we can know and God wants us to know and has revealed it in his WORD.

  • Always Hold Onto Hope - In Reply - 4 years ago
Absolutely not. I always hope that they'll read the whole chapter. How can we neglect so great a salvation?

When I was saved, an echo was screaming in my brainthe Bible says it's wrong! I had a 15 lb Bible that came with encyclopedias that I had never read. It had a complete Bible Dictionary. I looked up stars, and ran into star gazers and astrologers and eventually found the penalty of Death for doing it. I had led a backslid Methodist astray.

But I was convicted big time. My grandmother prayed for me for years and always wrote Jesus Loves you on her letters to me. If She knew what I was doing The worst kind of sorrow hurt my soul. I laid my head on the Bible and confessed I was a sinner and deserved to die; right then. The Holy Spirit was present.

I saw hell in the floor, and then a Hand in the spirit. I grabbed with all my strength. To my horror I fell into the floor, but hell vanished. It musta been a lot of sins, but I was delivered. I woke up in the morning acutely aware "someone"was guiding me. I'll end it at the really "interesting next 2 days."

Some of us come to Jesus the easiest way possible. I quit all vices, burned a few grand of astrology books & cursed objects. Cleared my entire home of everything. I wanted to sell the books, but the Holy Spirit said no every time I tried to bargain. I should be toast, but Jesus loved me to wellness. Going backwards is not an option. We can be as close to Jesus as we desire.

For 36 yrs, I've walked with Abba, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. All different, all One.

I always hope some will say yes and receive the Beloved. (Song of Solomon)

People, don't say no too often. Your heart gets hard, harder. He's worth anything you have to do to take His Hand.

May you be drawn by cords of Love. Mishael

Sister Sacha, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

I pray the Spirit carry you and I into a deeper spiritual understanding.

The brick and mortar church is not what is reality, God starts us of in this physical church, and then brings us OUT of the physical understanding into spiritual understanding.

You and I (mankind) are the TRUE CHURCH (temple of God), you and I (mankind, whether male of female) are the WOMAN, Christ is the MAN (husband).

We as the woman are to be silent in the church and let the man, our husband be the head and do ALL THINGS through HIM. When you have questions, ASK you husband.

1 Timothy 2:14 And Adam (Christ)(the husband) was not deceived, but the WOMAN (you and I, mankind) being DECEIVED was in the transgression.

1 Timothy 2:15 Notwithstanding she (THE WOMAN, you and I, mankind) shall be SAVED IN CHILDBEARING (giving birth to the promise SEED, the WORD of God, life, truth, the way), if they continue in FAITH ( Galatians 2:16)( Galatians 2:20) and charity and holiness with sobriety.

May we grow in wisdom and understanding. GBU

    Brother Louie,

No. We're free to go to Church any day of the week that suits us.

The Sabbath Day has always been observed on Saturday. The Sabbath Day is a Day of rest. God created the Sabbath Day at the creation of the world, God rested on the 7th day.

    Mark 2:27

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

In creating the 4th Commandment, God gave us a day to rest our body and mind, and to also reflect on God, to give thanks to Him, and also to allow us to do good things on this day, as Jesus demonstrated by healing and helping those in need on the Sabbath Day!

I look at Sabbath/Saturday as a gift from God, and use it to rest, pray, help others when I can, and just rejuvenate my body and mind! I've found in the past that if I don't make it a habit to observe Saturday, then I just end up doing all of the same worldly things that I do during the regular work week, hence I fall into the same worldly Rat Race mindset.

    God Bless.

Chris My apologies in sharing it was not The true God communicating through the spirit look at Chapter 28:6 proof that the lord was not answering, so what was going on was the familiar spirit just used what the true God had already told Saul because of saul's disobedience the only added point was that Saul was going to die which was not stated by the true God. Keep something in mind our enemy knows Gods Word verbatim only he uses it to His advantage. This is my closing God Bless
  • David - 4 years ago
Chris The context of the down fall of Saul started in when in Chapter 15:1-15 He disobeyed Samuel the man of Gods orders and lied to the man of God and spared Agag, then verse 26-29 Saul lost the kingdom and no longer walked with God. From that point on God did not communicate with Saul and in the process david was made the new King and saul was so checked out that he tried to kill David several times. Then in Chapter 28: starting at verse 6 Saul inquired of the lord the lord answered Him not neither by dreams nor by urim nor by prophets so the true God was not talking to Saul then in fear and desperation he goes to a witch and those in the old testament were supposed to be put to death. So the adversary controlling the witch produces a spirit that looks like Samuel says two things that were true that God already spoke that Saul lost the kingdom and was given to David because Saul disobeyed the voice of the lord and since the adversary knew that Saul didn't have Gods protection he knew that he was going to lose the battle and His life. The other thing that Saul did was break bread with the witch unbelievable act of disobedience to the true God. Keep in mind Sauls head was way out there with absolute fear and confusion and doubt. Remember the wages of sin is death. The spirit produced by the enemy was in ectoplasm form.

    Bill, Here is part 2:

I don't believe there's any special formula for salvation other than surrendering to Christ and receiving His Spirit. It was at the point that He placed His Spirit inside me that my salvation took place. Personally, I don't like to use the word accept because the bible never says to accept Him but to receive Him. For me, to accept just means that I mentally agree with what He did for me. I have to receive Him.

I agree that growth takes time. It's a lifelong process. A person has to remain in God's word and be in submission to Him for there to be any growth. Saying we are a follower of Christ is one thing. Actually following Him and being in total submission to Him is another. As for Paul, I believe he was already set apart for salvation before he was born. I get that from Galatians 1:15.

Paul was around 30-32 years old when he had the experience on the Damascus road. God already set him apart for salvation from his mother's womb, but it wasn't until Paul was on the road to Damascus that God actually saved him. So it wasn't immediate for Paul even though God had already planned in due time to save him.

Paul didn't ask to be saved. He was on his was to have more Christians put to death. He says but when it pleased God, meaning the exact moment that God had planned. And Paul says he was separated from his mother's womb. So God already had a plan for Paul while he was still in the womb. For 30-32 years, he was carrying on in his sinful acts until one day God says "times up," and Jesus intervened.

I find it to be true with most, if not everyone that gets saved, is that we're on our own journey and He intervenes and cuts us off, stops us dead in our tracks, and points us in His direction.

Brother, thank you so much for reading my post. I truly respect your thoughts and the things you have to share. Sometimes we word things differently but often say the same thing. Thank you also for asking for clarification on what I said. God Bless!

I'm sure that many will agree that some bible scripture is easy to understand, and some not as easy. For me, I find that the following scripture falls into the - not as easy to understand category.

I would be interested to hear how others here, interpret this scripture:

    Luke 17:34-35

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. 35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Thanks in advance, and God Bless.

Brother Earl, God bless our conversation. You would agree that God has provided a recipe to know Him. The finished knowledge of the recipe will not be fully known until the work of the recipe is completed in the order of the instructions and ingredients provided. Jesus says he is the Bread of Life, we can be ingredients to His work but our order is important. To teach the Gospel for fullness of Truth it cannot be taught just know the Bread of Life, while it is true, it is not in order. I know you make liberty for this order to come to pass and all will be well. It might not work that way. An important ingredient may be left aside or some other mode of preparation. By revelation we may see past the mixing bowl, usually it is for our own saving grace so that we ourselves remain in order, so that as you describe, we will know the fullness of Christ in due time. We cannot teach from heaven as we are out of order, we teach in earth where our daily walk remains in order.

    Hello Bill,

Here is what I believe about immediate salvation. I believe that salvation takes place the moment that the Spirit of Christ enters into our spirit. Without His Spirit, there is no salvation. Romans 10:13 says that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I believe that to be a promise that if we call upon Him to have mercy on us that He will at some point save us. I can't say it is immediate because only the Lord knows our hearts. But the promise that He will is still there. It's as it is a guarantee.

We are also told in Romans 8:9 that if we do not have the Spirit of God in us, we do not belong to Him. In other words, without His Spirit in us, there is no salvation that took place. So as far as when salvation takes place, I believe it is when His Spirit enters into our spirit. That's is when I believe that salvation takes place.

What I mean by saying for some it is immediate, and for others it could take a while, and it is something that you yourself touched on when you said if it is sincere and spiritually made it is immediate. I completely agree with you on that, amen! I can say that that was the case for me. I said a so called "sinners prayer" years before I actually received Christ. It wasn't sincere. I did it in front of my mother and her evangelist friend in order to please my mother, not because I wanted to surrender to Christ. There was no immediate salvation there at that time for me, even though I called upon the name of the Lord. He had to prepare my heart and it took years before I was ready to receive Him and make Him the Lord of my life.

I have a little more to say but am running out of space here. I am going to try and finish this up in a second post. I just wanted to clarify what I was saying. I don't see you as being argumentative at all. I'll send more as a (Part 2).

Hello Louie, A born again brother or sister will know peace and rest. The desire to share this peace and rest with others will be abundant. You will know the presence of this peace by the Holy Ghost dwelling within you, leading you from the soul outwards in your walk of life. You will have love for God in his mercy for providing His Lamb. This same love will follow to all men. As God worked a work in you ne works a work in others. Your presence with the gift of God which is the Holy Ghost will witness to others that you have peace with God and man.

Also, this born again nature is lifetime.

With my testimony, I tell this because it is bad. But I wanted all to know how harmful it is to have keen curiosity about who the Chaldeans are, Nimrod's Legacy (he died young) was left to his wife; whom history days she was his wife and mother (others say a witch). They had a son.

Ahabs wife (Jezebel) was so bad, it was prophesied the dogs would drag her bones away; which they did. Her spirit (evil) causes many bad manifestations against people, to present day. It's bad. My advise is to view some Derek Prince videos. Eph.6. It's a spirit and it's invisible. It often afflicts men.

(I'm not directing this towards you personally ok?) Christians should be wise and not study that. It's occult. Through Paul, Eph.6, plead the blood of Jesus and keep that armor on.

May we all REFUSE to observe Halloween this year, if possible. Turn off the porch light. Give no place to the devil.

Have an 80's flashback and listen to "to hell with the devil". One of my favorites. :D Mishael

Brother Louie, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

You are born again, by the WORD(S) of God becoming apart of YOU, being made ONE with the WORD(S) of God.

1 Peter 1:23 Being BORN AGAIN, not of corruptible seed, but if incorruptible (SEED, THE WORD), by the WORD(S) OF GOD, which liveth and abideth (IN YOU) for ever.

The Holy Spirit indwells you to accomplish this IN YOU. It takes YOUR LIFETIME.

Continue to study and always ask the Spirit to make known HIS words to you.

Time studying and asking, causes you to MATURE in the WORDS. When we (the SEED, THE WORD, YOU) are MATURE, God harvest the SEED (you depart this body of flesh). You have BECOME ONE (THE WORD, THE SEED), LIFE, TRUTH, THE WAY.

Amos 3:3 Can two (you and Christ, THE WORD) walk together (as ONE), except they (you and Christ, THE WORD) be agreed?

Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

Brother Earl, If today, a lamb rests by the still water from it's labors (burdens) is it not in the chosen fast? What would hinder this continuing fast of Jesus's little lambs?

    Brother Mishael,

I enjoyed your post and thoughts so much today, that I wanted to highlight some of the contents again, and comment on them.

You stated: "The date came and went. We'll do better to evangelize folks and quit using date setting to motivate us. We should believe and do what the Bible says. Beware of false teaching, date setting. False prophets."

I agree with your encouraging words above, and to me, this verse brings it home:

    Matthew 6:34

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Also, your wise observance of the Mega Church preaching a strange kind of doctrine below:

"There is even a video of a mega Church in America; the preacher said: the Ten Commandments are not needed anymore! All we have to do is obey loving one another?"

Agree, and Jesus cautioned several times that prior to His Second Coming to watch out for false prophets/teachers:

    Matthew 24:11

"And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."

You state: "Folks our only defense is to know what the Bible really teaches. Matthew 5, Jesus reaffirms Old Testament laws still in force. And the 2 new Commandments Jesus gave."

    Amen. God Bless.
  • Matthew Henry Comment__Perilous Times - 4 years ago
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves.

    2 Timothy 3:1-9

These verses give us three layers of truth: (1) There will be a period of history known as the "last days" of earth; (2) these days will be perilous, a word that means dangerous and savage; (3) the most dangerous thing about them will be a pandemic of self-love. When people love themselves, the driving forces for everything become ego, self-admiration, personal ambition, and a disregard for anyone else.

Without the grace and mercy of our Lord Jesus, we are all selfish people, more concerned about ourselves than about anyone else. It's Jesus alone who teaches us to love others, to care for someone besides ourselves, and to humbly obey God's Word: "Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too" ( Philippians 2:3-4, NLT).

Sin makes the times perilous. When there is a general corruption of manners, and of the tempers of men, this makes the times dangerous to live in [But] the coming of perilous times is an evidence of the truth of scripture predictions.
