Not sure who you're replying to, but my only suggestion is that the word "perfect" in the references you've given doesn't speak of one without sin or a standing before God & man without fault, but it has other applications. Without examining each verse, my cursory search for the Hebrew word for those OT references is the root word, 'tamam' - & this implies a completeness or soundness. In that sense, one can be perfect as having no one who can find fault, but it's another matter of our standing before God in regards to our sinful state. Job might have been "perfect & upright" as a righteous man, but none can claim that he was without sin.

Likewise, in the NT, the Greek word, has its root in 'telos', meaning 'having reached full growth, complete in all parts, especially of Christian character, maturity'. And again, this word doesn't imply one can reach a state of of sinless perfection in this life, but one can grow towards completion or maturity as the Spirit gains greater control of the believer.

So maybe the one who made that statement you quoted, was writing specifically of not being able to reach the place of no sin within our members (as we're all sinners until we are changed, shedding this sinful flesh to receive our glorified bodies). But we can all attain perfection by allowing the Spirit to work in us to make us more like our Saviour.

To add to conversation, It appears that you want the whole picture of what happens to those that treat others terribly. Forgiveness is easier when we understand the punishment, praying for someone is easier when we know GOD is faithful on HIS promises.

Thanks brother. I agree with everything you've written & the appropriate Scriptures you've cited. Yet, my question remains up in the air, from the latter part of my previous comment.

You stated earlier that "The enemy will always use part truth or use it out of context to complete his manipulation". So, my question was, how can the enemy know that 'part truth' when that Truth hasn't been declared yet by God? And that Truth was that Saul & his sons would die on the morrow in battle & the host of Israel would fall into Philistine hands. This is not a question of true & false prophets/prophecy, but of the power of devils to know the future without it being declared.

Anyway brother, I'm fine if there is no clear answer from you, because I'm not sure how else I could reword the question. And all this is in line with who that Samuel was who appeared to the witch; if it was an impersonating devil, then he knew the Mind of God - if Samuel's spirit, then God gave this prophecy through him to deliver to Saul.

I have heard many fast by not eating meat or sweets, mostly vegetables. Some turn off T.V., radio or other habits. Some have done all liquid only, such as broths, juices etc. Most people won't recommend a total fast, but some will do a 3 day no food or liquid fast.

I personally recommend you seek GOD fully before you do any fast. If you feel led by the HOLY SPIRIT to fast HE will help you. It is a very personal thing & if you don't feel personally led, I recommend you wait. Matthew 23:1-4,

There are moments to humble yourself, seek GOD's face in a powerful way, to teach yourself submission, break stronghold habits, difficult choices, impossible situations, etc. Trust the LORD to lead you, sustain you & keep you.

Hello Walter. We know that the KJV translation appeared in the 17th Century, when many words had a different meaning to what we know today, then we can appreciate the use of the word "corn". Though we presently understand 'corn' to refer to a highly bred grain developed from maize, in those days the English used the general word, 'corn' to represent barley, wheat, rye, oats, etc. In fact, it came from the old Nordic word 'korn', which meant 'grain'.

So when we see Jesus in Luke 6:1, going through the corn fields, plucking the ears of corn & rubbing them in His Hands, it certainly wasn't the corn of today, but likely a grain, such as barley, that could be rubbed together to separate the chaff from the grain. Or, the example of John 12:24, "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground & die", we can understand it as a grain of wheat, giving us another use of the word 'corn'.

Hello Deloras. Not much is given in the Bible (NT) on that subject. Even though 1 Corinthians 14:35 states that "it is a shame for women to speak in the church", yet we see in Acts 1:14, "These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren."

This was the first instance of the operation of the new Church of Jesus Christ, when all the disciples, Jesus' brothers & the women met in Jerusalem in the Upper Room. They had just witnessed the transfiguration & ascension of their Lord & one can only imagine how their hearts & spirits must have been filled with praise & joy which expressed itself in prayer & praise. Yes, I see that the women also prayed, joining the others present there. Now the Apostle Paul gives another teaching on the covering of heads whilst praying (1 Corinthians chapter 11), but that's another aspect that has caused much division.

I totally believe what you say. I was living in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1988. More Christians than you can believe. It was a time of massive street ministry. Oral Roberts college town!

The date came and went. I truly believe God is NOT going to allow people to predict dates or events; or Him.

The date came and went. We'll do better to evangelize folks and quit using date setting to motivate us. We should believe and do what the Bible says. Beware of false teaching, date setting. False prophets.

TWO PREACHERS is a YouTube channel that accepts disaster videos from all over this globe. It shows us that just because our neighborhoods aren't affected Yet; doesn't mean it won't be. God is busy motivating people! Repent and receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. Pray always.

We know what to be doing NOW. Two Preachers shows remote disaster torn places, preaches the gospel and gives out free Bibles to people who are saved and baptized.

There is even a video of a mega Church in America; the preacher said: the Ten Commandments are not needed anymore! All we have to do is obey loving one another?

Folks our only defense is to know what the Bible really teaches. Matthew 5, Jesus reaffirms Old Testament laws still in force. And the 2 new Commandments Jesus gave.

Do we see Jesus's Love calming American streets and Neighborhoods? Do Christians drive their cars obeying speed limits, basic courtesy, etc. Our driving skills need to be saved. If the kids go downtown to protest, drink & throw rocks; QUIT giving them money or cars to go downtown!

Whoever has the money, controls the household.

Our kids have to learn to survive a hostile world, so they can Move Out after high school. Quit babying them. What DOES the Bible teach in the Book of Proverbs? Do that, teach that. That is How we love them. Not bail money; Gods Love.

Now go search 'Two Preachers' on YouTube. The earth is hemorrhaging all over. Jesus gave the signs in Matthew 24; Luke 21.

Praise the Lord God Almighty. Thank you Lord for the Joy you give to your people; when we choose to call, and abide in You.

There was a great joy in Jerusalem, when they turned back to God and the LORD healed the people. So great was their Joy, in that they kept the feast going an additional 7 days. Glory to God.

Praise the LORD for His patient waiting for us to do the same here in our current situation regarding the Covid, economy, social, and political climate.

Our church and our families including mine need prayer. Many spiritual attacks lately, many are discouraged and weary. Lord Jesus please show yourself strong. Come to our defense and aid. Protect and guide us Lord. Grant deliverance, healing and salvation (those not saved) and revive us, pour out your Spirit in a powerful way. Lord Jesus I also commit the situation K told us about and these many wounds and hurts to you asking for your intervention. Thank you and praise you Lord Jesus. Amen

When the lord comes back He will restore those in Judah and Jerusalem, that are left , only a remnant will survive the horrific times ahead for that region known as Israel , God will root out the wicked and save his people and fight all those armies that will surround Jerusalem at that time . As of Days old . What a time that will be .

Hello Grace. Your sensitivity to correctly quoting from the Scriptures is so commendable & very much appreciated. I feel sure that the Lord will direct that sister in Christ to view your correction or even give her clarification on the verse in question.

In fact, when we consider the verse, if we are His Temple, then wherever believers gather together whether formally in a Church building or in a home, the House of the Lord must vitally exist right there. The early Christians regularly met in homes or in courtyards therein - to them they were gathered in God's House, a place set apart to worship together. Be blessed for your heartfelt attention to your concern.

I believe the flesh is on the bones, but the spirit is not in them yet.
