The Maria or Marie with State Farm insurance was to my right as I was entering the on-ramp to the 210 freeway wear something went over my vehicle after the bmw gullwing door car passed before me the Marie or Maria jaber vehicle sic of some type a strange mixed up ford or explorer the smaller type not the full size type. I was going to pull up to the one car per green.
What you said made me think of that one scene where Mary Magdalene told the Disciples that Jesus had risen. Everyone struggles with their faith for a few moments. Then Thomas (doubting) remarks "women's fantasies". Which I was taught: in their culture it was a nice way of explaining PMS.
Her response was loud, "Was Jesus's death a fantasy?!"
The disciples snapped out of their doubts and went to the tomb to see for themselves.
I think all disciples of Jesus Christ (in 2021) should be respectful of other disciples, without prejudice. Paul was a career single like me. He had women helpers in his ministry. I don't know in what capacity, as he was often imprisoned, Built tents, hosted other disciples visits, or recovering from stoning and beatings.
He only asked the women to be quiet in church because they were hollering at their husbands on the other side of the aisle, "honey, what's that mean?"
I'm wondering what happened with Mary Magdalene in the Book of Acts time period? Chris?
You be yourself. We're to follow Jesus. Not opinions from others. I am glad for your presence, humor and ministry in here.
I think we should review the Crowns being given out, at the Bema Seat of Christ. It's all good.
Jesus said to pray to the Father , and also said ask of me , but I do not recall him instructing us to pray to the Holy Spirit .
We do work through the Holy Spirit but that's not the same .
Can you point to a specific scripture that instruct us to do this ? Thanks !
This is the overcomers chapter ,
Verse 9 says if we DO what we know is truth GOD will be with us .
This is true fellowship with God ,actually knowing him and communicating with him spiritually.
Walking with God , what more could a person want ? This should be greatly desired , all the promises become real in our very life , and more .
The book of Daniel say that they that know God shall be strong , and do exploits.
Delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desires of your heart . That means your desires are in tune with him , not sinful .
Yes He is worth getting to know more than any one or thing that comes your way . But the cost is very high .
Apostle Paul said he counted the loss of all things dung , that he may know God . That should be an encouragement to us , it sure is to me in these uncertain times .
Take heart. Revelations 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes....
Matthew 6:14-15
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if ye forgive NOT men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
[Unforgiveness and unbelief can hinder our prayers]
Matthew 18 [Ask someone to agree with you]
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I pray against sickness in my coming and going. I pray against any form of sickness coming near me, my family, or near my vicinity. I claim my healing against: (speak your disease out now) in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I declare by the power and authority of the Holy Ghost, that no illness, spirit of infirmity or sickness attack from the enemy shall prevail against me in Jesus's mighty name. I am covered by the Blood of Jesus.
I confess Jesus Christ as my infinite Healer, and by His holy stripes and mighty authority, I declare that I am totally healed from the top of my head to the soles of my feet. I render every satanic attack against me bound up and cast out by the Name of Jesus! every spiritual foundation of sickness, and I command every infirmities spirit to bow down right now to the authority that is in the name of Jesus Christ. Go into outer darkness. Do not return in Jesus of Nazareth name! Praise God
I find it builds my faith to take breaks, open up YouTube and listen to Healing Scriptures for an hour.
Your faith will get big if you listen to 'Authority of the Believer' by Charles Capps. It helps to know what the life of Jesus accomplishes for us; Genesis to Today. Faith must be fed and exercised.

My computer, or mind, is definitely not my friend. Sorry for the scrambled scripture ending page 1.
Second Timothy, if the last epistle of Paul or not, contains verses that I believe show Paul had a different belief in death and the spirit's arrival in heaven to be with Christ.
2 Timothy 2:10-13 - "10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself."
Verse 11, " It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him." I believe this verse alludes to the coming resurrection of the dead in Christ. I hold this view based on Paul's words "we SHALL LIVE with Him".
At death, we are with Him in the grave, as was Christ upon His death. At our resurrection, commonly referred to as the rapture, we too will be raised from our grave, meaning death. Not a physical and/or decomposed earthly body, but as a new type of being, unknown to us in our knowledge in this life. It is at this point we live with Him.
I believe Paul had become or was becoming, aware he would have a waiting period before the return of Christ at the time this epistle was written.
If Paul was realizing Christ would not return within his lifetime, or shortly after, Paul had to believe in a "sleep" until the return of Christ.
However, we are still missing a definitive "where" this period of "sleep" will be or its heavenly given name.
Be safe my brother in Christ until our next comments.

In a church I served, there were two older ladies who were spiritual babies. Even though they had been saved for a long time and were baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues, they were the biggest babies in our church. They needed a lot of attention and would miss church on Sunday just so I would visit them on Monday!
Christians ought to grow up enough so that they don't always need someone to visit them, pump them up, pray for them, and feed them. They need to grow up so they can help somebody else.
EPHESIANS 4:14. CHILDHOOD
14 That we henceforth be no more children.
Children can be a handful! They are often curious and like to get into things. One time I came in with a sack and put it on the kitchen table. In no time at all, one of my young granddaughters was in the sack, wanting to know what was in it. Spiritually immature children get into things too. They poke their noses in places where they shouldn't. They are always in other people's business. Another thing about children is that they have never learned the value of silence.
Sometimes people say something hurtful and afterward say, "Oh, I was only joking." No, they weren't! They were being mean and hurtful with their words and then were trying to cover it up by saying it was a joke. Proverbs 12:18 (NIV) says, "Reckless words pierce like the sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing." Psalm 141:3 says, "Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips." We need to watch what comes out of our mouth. Our words should lift others up, not tear them down ( Eph. 4:29).
We were wounded and needed help. Proverb 18:14, Is. 53:5. Be quick to forgive yourself.
Pardon my tremendous error in my previous response!!! A mighty example of the mind outracing the fingers on the keyboard.
I apologize for sending "I believe Revelation 20:14 explains the place all souls reside after death until the gathering of the church and the following judgment of the lost." My intention was to state - I believe Revelation 20;14 explains the place all lost souls eternally reside after the gathering of the church and following the judgment of the lost. Quite different than what I originally sent.
As to my comments on 2 Corinthians 5:1-8, I do not think Paul fully understood the timing of the return of Christ for His church. In my studies, I have found that many, perhaps a large majority, of early believers envisioned a quick return of Christ. Paul was the foremost of these believers in a return in his lifetime. Thus stated, at the time of his writing (dictating?) Second Corinthians I believe Paul expected an imminent return of Christ. Later, I believe Paul came to realize the timetable of Christ's return was longer than he originally believed.
It is believed Paul initially visited Corinth about 50-51 CE. The First Letter of Paul to the Corinthians is believed to have been written about 53-54 CE from Ephesus. The second letter is believed to have been written from Macedonia in about 55 CE. Thus the second letter was approximately 5 years after Paul first visited Corinth. Paul's execution is dated between 67 and 70 CE.
Based on the traditional view, 2 Timothy was Paul's final epistle and is dated as 67 CE and originated in Rome. While the date is not certain, the location is known as Paul was in the custody of the Romans at his time.

e that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. 6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
Ephesians 4:11-15
Did you notice in verse 15, Paul tells the Christians in Ephesus to "grow up into him in all things? Evidently, Paul didn't think that the Church at Ephesus had grown up yet. He also said in verse 13, "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, UNTO A PERFECT MAN."
In The Amplified Bible, this phrase is translated, "that we might arrive at really mature manhood." In these verses, Paul is encouraging us to reach spiritual maturity. He is encouraging us to grow up spiritually.
Throughout the New Testament, we see a striking similarity between spiritual and physical development. In fact, there are three stages of spiritual development that correspond to physical development. They are: babyhood, childhood, and manhood.
Even though a person can be a born-again Christian for many years, he can still be in either the babyhood or childhood stage of development in certain areas of his life. As you take a look at each stage of spiritual development, you may see where you need to grow in certain areas.
BABYHOOD
1 PETER 2:2. As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.
Newborn babies require a lot of work.
In the same way, you can't expect young Christians to do for themselves. You need to follow up with them after they first come to your church and encourage them to return, or at least to get involved in another good church. They don't understand much about the things of God, so you have to spend a lot of time teaching and counseling them.
They'll come crying on your shoulder about this, that, or the other thing. They don't have a lot of confidence in their own prayers, so they'll ask everyone they see to pray about the same thing over and over again. You have to carry them, so to speak, because

Myself, if I cannot find a scripture I vaguely remember; I ask the Holy Spirit to HELP me. And then I move onto something else for a while. The main thing is, He is our Teacher; that Jesus gave to us. We need to learn to rely on Him. See? Self-reliance is sorta lonely in a way. When the Holy Spirit shows me something, I do hand flips.
*when you're searching a location, you may need to use ancient maps. The Bible is going to use ancient NAMES.
You might try using Google. Or call some bookstores to see if they carry books of Bible maps.
Now ask Holy Spirit to be your Help.
Couple of your points. Firstly, distinguishing between Sheol & the Lake of Fire. You stated that "I believe Revelation 20:14 explains the place all souls reside after death until the gathering of the church and the following judgment of the lost." That passage speaks of the Lake of Fire which apparently is the terminus of all unforgiven sinners, including Satan, his henchmen, the Anti-christ, etc., or maybe I've misunderstood you. Can that burning Lake, from which there is no escape, be considered a holding place for all souls after death? Indeed, as you stated, "God would have none perish in the eternal fire as He is love", yet we know that the majority will suffer in that eternal raging flame for they have spurned the offer of God's Love, despised His Son, & must suffer under His Just Hand. If that were not so, there is no case for the Gospel & its spread, often done in great labours even death, throughout the world.
Re: 2 Corinthians 5:1-8. I've re-read this. In verses 1-4, Paul writes on our 'earthly house' being dissolved (returned to dust), & we have the promise of a "house from Heaven". And verse 5 connects that thought of our glorified body provided by the same God Who has given us the "earnest of the Spirit", with the next verses. Paul says 'while he is in this body, he is absent from the Lord'. Rather the very opposite is his longing & confidence, 'to be absent in the body & to be present with the Lord'. So, I agree with how you read some of this portion, though I guess, it's how we read verses 6 & 8. Is Paul inferring a gap between his bodily demise & spiritual awakening in the Lord's Presence, or does he envision a 'no gap': his spirit must either be clothed in a body or be clothed in a heavenly body? - Either here or there. Can a believer given the Spirit & leaving this Earth, be left in a state of flux, rather than immediately return to the One Who has purchased us, completing His redemptive work?
I Corintihians 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
Belive the Holy Scripture, God bless in Jesus Name
And secondly, if it was an evil spirit, how did it know (or, prophesy) of an occurrence that was not known earlier ( 1 Samuel 28:19, "to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines")? I understand what you wrote, that even the devils can know this, when you wrote about the adversary the father of lies, "Remember in Genesis thou shalt not die", referring to Genesis 3:4. Yet, Satan there could only say that because God had already told Adam that. Could Satan prophesy of coming events, whether of Israel, the nations or the future of the world?
I do thank you for your explanation brother & it was certainly worth considering, but there are still a couple of these hurdles I need to get over to be fully persuaded - if you or someone can provide some Scripture to show that even Satan & his devils can foretell future events without those events already declared by God prophetically, I would be grateful.
