In my understanding the first and last scripture reference you posted say we will be 'sleeping' between death and when Jesus comes. And others say we will be judged. There are verses saying we will be judged on the same day also. To me, all that fits together and carries a lot of weight. There are isolated verses that can be used as possible evidence of going immediately to heaven or hell, but I think it's very light in comparison to the evidence for 'sleeping'. It would be quite hard to explain how all the other verses logically fit, and why someone would skip judgment to go to heaven, then back to earth, only to go back to heaven again, then be judged, after they were already in heaven and all this as a formality? All this just to comfort people at funerals? But it seems clear to me we will sleep and it will feel like only a second goes by and Jesus will be here, and time will pass instantly just like it does when sleeping. God bless.

Thank you brother Carleton. That would indeed be a fine line in my understanding. The child of God must refuse that which is evil, yet not render evil for evil. Maybe you could expand your thoughts as time permits, that we may learn.

Hi Rick. I have re-read Romans 13:1-7 & tried to read it inline with your understanding. However, to do so, doesn't make sense. I've never encountered the Church (elders) bearing the sword against their congregations or an avenger to execute wrath, or even demanding tribute (taxes).

Is that how you read it?

    Dear Hope,

Yes, you are correct about water baptism according to Jesus.

We should believe in what Jesus states in scripture below:

    John 3:5

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."

Note: Don't let men confuse you, always test the scripture by comparing what Jesus tells us. The only way to God is through Jesus.

    John 14:6

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Many today will turn their back on Jesus, and preach another Gospel that differs from what Jesus taught. They will say many things to try to convince you to turn your back on Jesus and God.

If the gospel or scripture, or man's word's don't match what Jesus says in scripture, it really means nothing. Jesus will be our Judge and he will make the decision on whom enters the Kingdom.

    Revelation 22:12-14

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

    God Bless.

Hi Adam, I want to start off by apologizing to you, i sounded confrontational, and a little bit of a smart mouth, I did not choose my chose my words wisely, and I am sorry for that. I must of misunderstood the question, I thought they was asking what the curse was, and why he was cursed, and I have only been studying for about 6months now, and don't have much education, I will have to look for that website that I got that information from, I will send it to you and Chris, and I could be wrong, I don't want to discourage, or mislead anyone, I never meant for you to think, that I was saying the KJV isn't the word of the Most High GOD, I just thought that they left out some of the words, and if so, why? For example, the left out the book of Enoch, and that should of definitely been in the bible, because Enoch was face to face with GOD, and walked with GOD, and didn't suffer death for

GOD took him, and like I say, If I'm wrong about it, I'm sorry and I never meant to mislead anyone, I just want people to look and make sure for themselves, don't believe it just because that's what you were told to believe, because when it's all said and done, we will all stand before the LORD. May GOD bless, you and yours brother Adam and Brother Chris.

It does NOT say a woman isn't allowed to wear pants. Deuteronomy 22:5, Deuteronomy 12:32

    Remember John 3:16, Matthew 25:31-46,

it's talking about dressing to resemblance appearance as opposite sex.

At about 5 or 6 years old, I was told by a neighbor man, I should wear a dress, I wore a dress & the "monster" raped me both ways. I went unconscious more than once & was held by a heavenly being after I asked to die. The heavenly being comforted me he was wearing a white robe. I had a conversation as an adult outside of my young self, I guess in the heaven. Then I was back.

Later I was in a church Sunday school that I was made to wear a dress, (by step mother) the boys would lay on the floor to see my undergarments. It was emotionally painful & I would cry not to wear a dress. Even as a young adult men have been dishonorable when I wear shirts or dresses. I could use it for my gain!! However I rarely wear s dress & when I do, heads turn. I find it much more modest to wear pants. The husbands at the churches, stores etc don't stare as much when I wear pants.

Pants aren't what disqualify someone from heaven.

Part II OR: Baptism Of Repentance For The Remission Of sins?:

God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, 'Shows water' is NOT Under God's GRACE, Today:

    (1) Prophecy/Law for ISRAEL: The Twelve 'Were Sent' to water baptize!

The TWO Main, of 12 baptisms =

    A) water, For remission of sins/induction into Israeli "priesthood!" {separate "study" IF you wish...} ( Matthew 3:5-6 Mark 1:4 Luke 3:3 John 1:31 Luke 7:29-30 Acts 10:37 Matthew 28:19 Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38 Acts 22:16 Ezekiel 36:25 John 18:35 Exodus 19:6 ) +

    B) WITH The Holy Spirit, Poured Out By CHRIST, for power, signs And wonders! ( Isaiah 44:3 Matthew 3:11 Mark 1:8 Mark 16:17-18 Luke 24:49 Acts 2:17-18 Acts 2:38 Acts 8:15-17 Acts 11:16 )

    Prophecy/Law

Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15 ) From Things That Differ!:

    (2) Mystery/GRACE! = our "apostle to the Gentiles" for The Body Of CHRIST:

Paul 'Was Not Sent' to {water} baptize! Why Not?:

Today: 'Only ONE' Baptism = "BY" The ONE Spirit = God's OPERATION, Spiritually Identifying members In (The ONE Body Of) CHRIST!! ( Ephesians 4:5 Colossians 2:12 Galatians 3:27 Romans 6:3-4 1 Corinthians 12:13 )

    --------------------------------------------------

Thus, This ONE Baptism Is Performed, By God, Today, Under God's GRACE/MYSTERY Program, when the believer "confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior and believes that He died and rose again, and God Saves them" in the twinkling of an eye.

Thus, "water baptism" Is Scriptural, But Dispensationally, "was for the Previous Law/Prophecy Program" of God, For ISRAEL!

Conclusion, water baptism is Scriptural, but, TODAY, is UNdispensational! Amen?

Precious friend, 'rather' than twisting a few fragmented, out-of-context, Misunderstood 'pet' verses of Many 'traditional' religious sects, "God Has A Better Way, 'Approved' Unto HIM!" Of Course, 'Not' Overlooking Neither 1 Corinthians 12:13, Nor Ephesians 4:5 For "The Body Of CHRIST," Today, Amen?:

God's Word Of Truth, Rightly Divided, 'Shows water' is NOT Under God's GRACE, Today:

    Link

Of course if one is 'not yet' saved Correctly, Under GRACE, Today, then there Is 'No Sense' discussing water baptism at all! 1 Corinthians 2:14 Amen?

In the verse five it states perfectly that women are not to wear parents. It also says who does so would be the abomination, the person would be not the pants. I would not want to be the abomination to God. But, I have worked outside in the garden, moving wood piles and etc. in a skirt and I have done so for almost ten years. I still do not have a problem with it. God has always made a way to get around obstacles, but it takes faith on our end to believe He will go through with it. God made a way for me to wear a skirt and moved obstacles, but I also had to have the faith to believe He would move the obstacles. When serving God there will be things we have to sacrifice. Sometimes the sacrifice seems to big. But I have a question I would like for you to question yourself with. Is giving up pants more sacrificial than Jesus Christ laying down His life for you to be saved for all of eternity? Is it more important to you than your walk with God?

Precious friend, 1) Respectfully 'disagree," As Scripture Clearly teaches, Under God's GRACE, For The 'Body Of CHRIST'!:

"...we walk BY FAITH, 'Not' by sight..." 2Co 5:7 Thus, all "signs, experiences, dreams, visions, looking for antichrist, great tribulation prophecies, etc. Are 'Not' for us. However, When This "GRACE Is 'Ended' At our Great GRACE Departure," 1Th 4:17; 1Co 15:51-54...

...THEN God Will 'Resume HIS Prophetic Program,' For 'ISRAEL And the nations, Under Judgment/Great Tribulation/Wrath, And 'ALL the SIGHT signs' and Matthew 22 and 24, Will Then 'Be Applicable!'

    2) Today, Under GRACE, it Is 'UNbelief' that "keeps us from Heaven" = 'Eligible For Heaven'?:

Hi Tamolyn First thing God told Adam and Eve in the beginning to be fruit full and replenish the earth, so sex in Gods eyes and in the right order husband and wife is between those two. Therefore its there choice, what man or religion has done with act is not Gods fault. To the pure all things are pure to the defiled nothing is pure.

REPENT OF DISBELIEF, FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS!

Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Imo, This awesome and often quoted verse of the great apostle Peter, has been mis-preached and misinterpreted throughout the ages.

When Peter said unto them, REPENT...He was not speaking to our daily sins, but to the unforgivable sin of Disbelief in the Gospel John 3:16, but the Religious Judaizers try to tell us we must repent of our sins...before we can be saved.

Then many try to tie water baptism into the act of repentance, saying we must be water baptize before we can be saved.

Imo, the words "for the remission of sins," were taken out of context, because again, the only thing that can remit our sins is, repenting of our Disbelief, and Believing IN the Gospel. Imo, Peter actually was saying, "Repent for the remission of sins."

Imo, Acts 2:38 would have been much better understood, and served God and the world better if it were interpreted as:

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent for the remission of sins, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Imo, Repentance of Disbelief-SAVES us, and Water Baptism-Empowers and helps us to Repent of our sins.

Would appreciate any Good and Godly comments on this, esp. Bro Dan. Thank You. :)

Baptism is for everybody. Jesus died for us; He is the salvation plan. A lot of people tend to overlook some parts of the scriptures or even twist what they say so it will fit their religion. But, how it is written is how we are suppose to do it. In Acts 2 and verse 38 it says: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. If you read it carefully it says specifically everyone. The people who were in the upper room when the day of Pentecost came, there were more than just Jews. In verse 8 it says: And they were amazed and marvelled saying one to another, Behold, are not all of these which speak Galileans? And in verse 9, 10, and 11; it goes on to say more people who were there speaking in other tonuges/Holy Ghost. So, its not just for the Jews, its for everybody. Did I make sense?

What is the parable of the unjust steward about? I have one example that may seem personal, but , an example? Jesus has told us that the world would hate those who are not of the world and who follow Him. On the heels of this he tells us to love our enemies! A true disciple who lives this life in Christ , would soon understand the words He speaks are true. That we would experience this unequivocal message.

As stewards of the kingdom, as representatives, saints as it were, we might find ourselves in certain situations in this life that would require us making friends of the mammon? While we are doing His will, sometimes we may need to adjust into the things of this world. Sort of a check and balance? Being a faithful servant will require us to forgive, so that we might be forgiven. Knowing how to forgive gracefully ,, so that we too will still have a place in this world. Doing His will accordingly and still abide in His grace, in His love! I have written this too you all , for your input. In Christ FES
