Of Gen. 6:2; "they (angels) took them (daughters) wives of all which they chose" =

Scriptures reveal angels may take on human form:

+ In Genesis 18:1-8, The LORD and two holy angels visited Abraham and Sarah in the form of "three men" in human bodies. During that visit, these angels conversed and ate with Abraham in the same manner as would human men.

+ Two of these angels in human form proceeded to visit Lot in Sodom ( Gen. 19). While there, the Sodomites mistook these angels as actual human men and attempted to physically sodomize them ( Gen. 19:5).

+ At least two angels appeared as "young men" ( Mk. 16:5) after LORD JESUS' Resurrection wearing "shining garments" (Lu. 24:4).

+ While the disciples strained to see the final glimpses of The LORD's Ascension into Heaven, "two men {? angels?} stood by them in white apparel", and promised CHRIST's Second Coming "in like manner as ye have seen HIM go into Heaven" (Ac. 1:10-11).

Because angels are immortal and not subject to death, they have no need to procreate lawfully through marriage as do humans (cp Mt. 22:30; Mk. 12:25).

Yet, these angels assumed human form and married, co-habitated, and bore children through human "daughters of men" (v.2).

    Of Gen. 6:2 =

Besides here, the Old Testament uses the expression "the sons of GOD" to identify supernatural angelic beings:

1st, Job 1:6-7 describes "sons of GOD" presenting "themselves before The LORD." Note that "Satan (the supreme demonic angelic principality) came also among them."

2nd, Job 38:7 records JEHOVAH asking Job

"[4] Where wast thou [7] When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of GOD shouted for joy?"

Here, both expressions, "morning stars" and "sons of GOD" identify supernatural angels reacting to GOD's wondrous Creative Power.

The Old Testament does not use this expression to refer to believing saints except for the possible exception of Hosea 1:10: "In the place where it was said unto them (Israel), Ye are not MY people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of The Living GOD." The LORD, through HIS prophet Hosea, prophetically promised Israel a restoration far into the future.

Moreover, the designation "men" translates from the Hebrew noun "adam" (Eng. transliteration; pronounced "aw-DAWM"). Scriptures record the term "adam" (aprox. 529 times) to refer to all mankind (generically), both male and female, as the highest created species of living creatures (e.g. Gen. 1:26): "GOD said, Let US make man (Heb. "adam") in OUR IMAGE, after OUR Likeness."

Therefore, these "daughters of men" are the human female offspring of human fathers and mothers. Certain demonic angels saw these "daughters" as physically attractive ("fair"). Their "fairness" spawned unholy desires within these wanton angels who looked upon them, and desired them as objects solely for fulfilling their lusts.

The theory that the "sons of GOD" are the GODly sons of Seth's lineage while the "daughters of men" are the GOD rejecting daughters of Cain's descendants proves baseless and erroneous.

Consider the following points of argument:

    > Seth's male descendants were not all inherently righteous by default, simply because Seth was their forefather.

    > From the silence of Scriptures, Bible students cannot assume all of Cain's descendants were evil and rebellious.

    > A marriage between the descendant males of Seth and the female descendants of Cain would not automatically guarantee an offspring of giants. If this were true, all "unequally yoked" ( 2Cor. 6:14) parents, if one is an unbeliever while the other is a believer, would produce grotesque hybrid giants.

    > If Seth's male offspring were inherently righteous enough to deserve the title "sons of GOD", then this demands answers to many questions:

? Why is Noah solely and singularly described as "a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with GOD" ( Gen. 6:9; cp. 7:1)?

? Why weren't any others of Seth in the Ark besides Noah, a descendant of Seth? Must we assume Noah was Seth's only and final righteous offspring?

? Did their marrying an unbeliever forfeit GOD's Mercy and abandon them to die with the rest of the wicked as The LORD de-creed ( Gen. 6:7)? The LORD would not do so according to HIS Promises to Abraham concerning Lot's safety in Sodom. Six times The LORD promised Abraham, "I will spare all the place for their (the righteous) sakes" (see Gen. 18:26-32).

This theory implies that if Seth's male descendants were truly "sons of GOD", then they all, without exception, had to sin so grievously as to lose this title. So much for the Doctrine of Eternal Security.

    > Bible students commit hermeneutical malpractice to assume the "daughters of men (Heb. "adam")" was restricted to the female descendants of Cain. Such interpretation comes from prejudice and bias which The LORD prohibits (cp. Lev. 19:15).
  • DOES GOD ANSWER OUR PRAYERS? - In Reply on Psalms 139 - 4 years ago
Yes he does, always. David was upset, maybe angry at circumstances he felt was out of his control.

God waits until we settle ourselves. Like in Psalm 23. We rest, get ourselves quieted. Wait upon the Lord. Then he responds to us by the person of the Holy Spirit, now.

As an example, in Daniel chapters 9-10: Daniel prayed to the Lord; expecting a speedy answer, but it was delayed. Finally Gabriel the Archangel appears with a message. Daniel 9:21

Daniel had been fasting; he was visited by an Archangel again. Daniel 10: 5-21

Michael the Archangel had to fight off principalities and powers, so Gabriel could get the message to Daniel.

See, sometimes it takes fasting and prayer and waiting on the answer, but it will come. If there is a delay of the answer, we are to stand fast with our faith. Jesus doesn't have to send Archangels to give us answers now. We have The Holy Spirit within us. He speaks to our born again spirit. We just have to listen, until He does. He may give you a scripture or passage to read.

My best advice: turn off the media and sit before the Lord and listen. Calm yourself. Write down anything that comes into your spirit.

    to answer your question Ronald:

according to acts 2 when they were speaking in tongues,

both man and woman were present.

Noticed what the prophet Joel prophesied.

    Acts 2:16-18

all people can teach what they have learned from the bible.

but as far as authority. Adam was created first then eve was created as a

helper for Adam to take care of the earth- Genesis 2:18

    what about "within" the congregation?

    Ephesians 5:22-24; Titus 2:3-5

1 Timothy 3 within the Christian congregation or church...appointed ministers takes the lead in teaching the congregation or church. when a woman learn in silence 1Timothy 2:11, 12

within the congregation, this helps keep the congregation orderly. so in this instance. A woman doesn't have authority over a men within the congregation to teach nor over her husbands at home. however, husbands love their wives and listens to their concerns just as Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) taught Abraham Gen. 21:8-12. Even Jesus; when he was at a house or on the roads he listened and asked woman questions. woman like Martha, Mary Magdalene, the Samaritan woman. he taught them and spoke to them with kindness. John 11:27; Luke 10:38-42.

if a woman sees something or has a question

...she can ask her husband at home.

    1Corinthians 14:33-35

Hope this Helps. the bible is a light and shines for all to see.

    Part one,

S Spencer, brother thank you for your caring and your support to the brothers and sisters on this site. I understand this subject is off-limits to many and I thank you for your answer. I understand as Christian's we have different understandings of scriptures. I understand discernment, it is like Paul said in ( 1 Corinthians 3:2) the Holy Spirit does the same.

I went to church in my younger years and I had Christian parents, but I was not truly saved until my forties going on thirty years ago, it took over two years through demonic battles and things I did not believe were even real. I have full faith in my salvation in Jesus Christ and the baptizing of the Holy Spirit, if not I would not be here today.

I understand wanting to sit this one out some people's emotions override the love in Christ and many hold this undebatable, if we lived long ago, we would be in fear of death and even today your treated as unwanted, and cast out of many congregations, and I do cherish you considering me a brother.

On to the two Adams, now this is what I feel has been revealed through the Holy Spirit and my understanding of Scripture and I understand if we do not agree, but I will as best I can, tell you. When God formed the first Adam and made Eve out of his rib, they were in the garden naked and they were not ashamed ( Genesis 2:21-25). Their conscience was clean and white, not touched with sin, a dwelling place where God could communicate directly to Adam. After sin we see the voice of God walking, we know who that was.

If we look at all the scripture about our conscience it is where evil or good dwells. We are convicted by our conscience, our conscience records every thought, every intent, every imagination whether good or evil, it is the part of us that is recorded in the books that will be opened. This is why the law fell short it could cleanse the flesh but was uncapable of cleansing the conscience. ( Hebrews 9:8-14) ( Hebrews 10:1-12).

    Brother Ronald,

Can you show me specific scripture where Jesus said any of these things?

Some men have said these types of things about women in and out of bible scripture - but not Jesus, HE treated all women with the same respect as men throughout his time on the earth and in HIS scripture.

    John 8:7

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

More important than worrying about hair length, or who can teach, etc., I believe we should be more concerned with following what Jesus says, like in this scripture:

    Matthew 22:39

"And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

    God Bless.

    Part two

How we walk in this world is for our conscience ( 1 Peter 2:18-21), If we are treated badly, how we respond is recorded in our conscience regardless of how justified we fill to repay the wrongful treatment. I know we have all done this in the past but through the grace of God and the sacrifice of our Savior Jesus we can repent and He will cleanse our conscience.

I feel this is the dwelling place that Jesus repaired that the first Adam polluted with sin and through when we repent the Holy Spirit continues to wipe the spots to keep us clean. In John 14:1-4 that many have a different understanding of, what this speaks to me is, this is just before Jesus was going to be arrested and crucified. Later in the chapter Jesus told them He would ask the Father to send the Comforter to them in His name.

Jesus told them He was going to prepare a place for them, He said in His Fathers house are many mansions. The word mansion is monai meaning an abiding, an abode or dwelling place. Jesus was going to the cross to shed His blood and pay the penalty of sin that the first Adam put on mankind.

The union that the first Adam had with God before sin came in is now restored through the sacrifice and the blood of the Lamb of God His only begotten Son and Jesus' resurrection from the dead, now this union can again be with man through the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus.

The first Adam broke the union with God the last Adam repaired the union that is why I use the name Immanuel/Emmanuel God with us, again.

After the first Adam sinned God communicate through angels, and the prophets until Jesus and God communicated directly through Him. When Jesus as the high priest sprinkled His own blood in the holy of holies not made with hands, God now communicates directly to us, the union has been repaired. We are now His family, sons and daughters.

I hope this is enough for you to understand what I meant if not please let me know.

    In the love of Jesus

God brought peace to Judah and Jehoshaphat grew in strength, in wealth, and in men at arms. However the peace and prosperity was not because of the strength of his army, but was given by God. Jehoshsphat saw that the people were lacking in the knowledge and practice of God's truths. He sent teachers and priest to teach the people to desire the truth and love the truth of God.

Our God will fight for us and bring us peace all around us. He will cause our enemies to be at peace with us round about. Proverbs 16: 7. We as saints of the Lord must be consistent. What ever we recommend in the name of the Lord we need to practice it ourselves. May the Lord be praised. The USA needs to return to the Lord God Almighty in this time of Pandemic, social, economic and

political turmoil. May our nations leaders find the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ and worship the Lord in truth and in spirit.

JR. At 36 I worked in the steel mill. The bible I have now is the same one as then, 30 yrs later the one I carried in my lunch box every day. The gospel will change a mans heart, it will change his footsteps in this world! There was a time I laid it down , the failure u speak of, was during that time. The time you think you are alone, He is as close as He as ever been . He cannot deny Himself, He is that He is.

Having gone through trials, sins that beset us all, forfeiting the grace that is always ours.

I am reminded of the story of the paralytic who came too be healed , carried by his friends and let down before Him through the roof. Jesus, looking into eyes, says, thy sins be forgiven thee! There can be no healing without the forgiveness of sin. Our forgiveness of sin comes to us through His eyes, the eyes that behold His words, as He says " thy sins be forgiven thee"!

Prayer, fasting, giving of thanks, will always, always keep you looking always too Him, for this forgiveness even now! Christ spirit fills the heavens, fills all things, forgiving those who ask Him, even now!

Hello Ronald . In my experience many of those things are not classed as sins and are not actual commandments but are often kept up by many churches that I've visited . With regards to this site , how do any of us know who we are listening to ? Am I a man or woman ? Does it matter ?

Hello T Levi's . It must have taken you a long time to look up all those scriptures for me and I really do appreciate the time and effort you took on my behalf . Thankyou very much . I am quite familiar with David and his life . He is one of my most favourite characters . To me , he is the epitome of a very human human being . At times he is utterly ruthless and very manipulative , just like any of us could be . He broke many of the ten commandments , he swore an oath to Saul which he broke . He loved God very much and was very much loved by God . I believe that the old foreshadows the new . Like others on here I don't believe in coincidences , particularly Biblical ones and it was the first time I had noticed those things in Esther that my original post was about . I was just wondering if anyone had noticed the pattern and if so , what they felt about it . Thanks again for your help .
