I don't believe there will be anything else taken from Earth to be in Heaven, other than those purchased by Christ's Blood. Animal spirits are not redeemable.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on John 1 - 4 years ago
    Hi Brother Ronald.

    Part 1.

I would like to give my belief on whether a person can be saved if he does not hold the belief that Jesus is God.

I believe there is levels in areas in which the spirit grows a person. for example a person can be well versed and lack discernment, everyone is not gifted in all areas, But only God knows at this point. I believe the fruit in a believers life such as Love and humility ect. is going to be present in a believers life, and it will definitely be absent in a professing Christian. We've seen that often in debates.

Just because a "person" believe in the trinity that does not make him a Christian so to believe otherwise does not disqualify you, I don't believe Life given by the spirit is given by this doctrine. But I do hold this doctrine to be true and scriptural and though it is not required to "get' saved, once saved, in due time it will be revealed by the spirit.

I believe an important question is what means "are" we saved. A work "of God" through faith in Christ confirmed by the fruit in our life, or a work or belief system 'we' hold?

You don't hold to the trinity doctrine but atleast from my point of view you seem to be very fruitful so I would claim you as a brother. I elected to sit this one out but I do have a question.

You stated: " when the first Adam sinned "God could no longer dwell in man." Jesus, the last Adam, on the cross repaired what the first Adam did, God can again abode/dwell in man. In Jesus through the Holy Spirit God dwells in us, now God is with us. End quote.

I don't hold the view that God ever dwelled "IN" Man until Christ was resurrected. Are you saying God dwelled in the 1st Adam? 1 John 3:9. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. I dont believe Adam would have been driven out of the Garden to keep him from eating of the tree of life because that life would have abided in him.

    Part 2 coming.

Excellent points, brother ChrisE. Many fail because we approach the Word with preconceived notions & beliefs & then make the Word fit our beliefs. I'm often left in amazement & horror by what people can do with God's Word. But, in the end, all will be revealed as we may all have to humble ourselves before the Giver of Truth.

J R. u are an apostle. Leading teaching is what we are suppose to do. I will tell a simple story, my favorite one being Jonah. The struggle he had holding on too the inside of that whale, wondering why He didn't listen to God in the first place. Thinking and rehearsing, while asking God for forgiveness and possibly another chance to do His will. God speaks to the whale , as we see him spit Jonah out on the shores of Nineveh! God will prepare you, in the most inconvenient circumstances. U will be the roll model even as Jonah, who came into the midst and showed himself like non other! The Holy spirit will do it all, wait on Him, He will give you the words. Like the hot coal that comes from the alter, he will touch your lips and you will speak His will. Go ye teaching all nations, in the name of the Father ,the Son, the Holy Spirit.

KJBO Admin, Much Thanks For the Update on your Improvements - I will have another 'short?' list shortly of more 'problems' that have happened to me...
  • KJBO Admin - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Dear Chris,

We just updated the functionality and are hoping it works more accurately. Below are the current accepted abbreviations, and any common ones we're missing we can look into adding:

gen ex lev lv num deut dt josh judg ruth sam kgs chron ezr neh est jb ps psa prov eccles song isa jer lam ezek dan hos ob jon mic nah hab zeph hag zech mal mat mt matt mrk mk luk jn act rom cor gal eph phil col thess tim tit phm heb jas pet jud rev

A comment was just posted to the discussion page explaining how it works. We welcome any suggestions you have as well. God bless!

We just updated the Bible verse linking functionality so it's faster and more accurate. Thank you for your patience while we stay busy in the background trying to improve the Bible reading and discussing experience. Previously, the script made it so you couldn't accurately type numbers like 1,000 or 10,000, but now you can. Praise God!

As with any technology, there are limitations. Here are the rules of how it works.
    _________

    1. Book & Chapters

Just type a book and a chapter and it will automatically link. It won't link with just a book, or just a chapter, it must be both with a space in between, like this:

    Genesis 1

    _________

    2. Verses

Just type any verse like you normally would and it will automatically hyperlink if your book, chapter, and verses are are correct, such as:

    Genesis 1:1

    _________

    3. Ranges

Just type a hyphen and another verse to link to a verse range. It won't link to chapter ranges, only verse ranges.

    Genesis 1:1-3
    _________

    4. Series

Just type a comma between each individual verse you want to list for a given chapter. Important note: it doesn't allow spaces between the commas and verses. You can list up to 10 verses in a series. For example:

    Genesis 1:2,4,7,12,15
    _________

    Notes:

If the above rules are followed the Bible verse references will be hyperlinked. You may also use commonly used book abbreviations. You may list multiple Bible verse references in a row separated by a space, period, comma, semicolon and they should link properly. Ranges and series can't be combined, however. It's only one or the other per book and chapter reference. For example:

    Gen 1:2,4,7,12,15. Gen. 1:2-5. Gen 2:2,4,11. Jn 3:16; Mk 10

If you have any improvement suggestions for this or anything else, we welcome your help.

May God bless you through your Bible reading and Bible discussions!

Testing "functionality" Question: I wonder IF the three letter designations for the Bible Books can be posted in FAQ for "help!" in our studies { helps us 'wordy' posters pasters pastors? somewhat when 'characters' get close to "ZERO" :) }? ie:

Since Deu 1:1 did not work? Deuteronomy 1:1 Det 1:1 Dut 1:1 Dtr 1:1 ?

    Phi 1:1 does not, so: Philippians 1:1; Phl 1:1; Php 1:1? Phn 1:1 ?

    also Philemon 1:1 Phi 1:1 Phm 1:1 Phn 1:1 ?

    Full list?:

    Gen 1:1 Exo 1:1 Lev 1:1 Num 1:1 Dtr 1:1? Jos 1:1 Jud 1:1 Rut 1:1 Ruth 1:1 1 Sa 1:1 2 Sa 1:1 1 Ki 1:1 2 Ki 1:1 1 Ch 1:1 2 Ch 1:1 Ezr 1:1 Ezra 1:1 Neh 1:1 Est 1:1 Esther 1:1

    Hi Jenny.

To not make it complicated, If you are worried about blaspheming the Holyspirit it is likely you HAVE NOT DONE IT.

What ever you have done to make you feel that way repent and ask God for forgiveness and he will forgive you.

1 John 1:9. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

    I hope that helps.

    God bless.

After I was saved out of the occult, I cried for an entire year. It is the Holy Spirit within you, washing away the memories and residue of the past.

    Read this first stanza:

What can WASH AWAY my sin

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

What can make me whole again

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

    Oh, precious is the flow

That makes me white as snow

Oh, no other fount I know

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

For my cleansing, this I see

For my pardon this my plea

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

    Oh, precious is the flow

That makes me white as snow

Oh, no other fount I know

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

    Nothing can my sin erase

This is all my hope and peace

    This is all my righteousness

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

[The Holy Spirit leads me to sing songs at times. One time it was "I Walk The Line" by Johnny Cash. I protested because I thought it was secular!

He says Johnny is one of my children.

So I sang the song He was singing.

It totally described what I had been feeling earlier. Then I cry boatloads.]

How I love the Holy Spirit! So gentle and He knows exactly what I need to clear my troubled heart. Wherever He is, there is an altar to leave our tears at.

And say like I do: Because You're Mine, I walk the Line. Encourage Yourself, like King David did.

Praise and Worship is our source of strength and joy in the Lord.

    Amen Brother Mishael,

Amen. No monks here:) The WORD is amazing! Producing good works/good fruit! I agree our ACTIONS ARE NEEDED to produce the fruit!

    Revelation 2:23

"And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works."

    Matthew 6:20-21

20But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

    Hi Ronald,

I just noticed your reply- thank you for your time. I will do my best to stand up for Jesus in my reply and with limited space will try to be direct. It looked like you went through and interpreted some of the 10 verse examples in your own way. It concludes with an unrelated question that resembles a red herring. You said that believing these 10 verses I shared is a 'creed' and a 'trinity doctrine'. No, it's just believing in God's Word. I believe you are the one believing a creed and an anti-trinity doctrine. I don't have any motive or emotional bias one way or the other, I just believe God's Word. It's a fact that Jesus was called God in the Bible and so I believe it, that's all there is to it. That doesn't threaten or upset me as it somehow seems to for others, so I believe you have a bias or an anti-trinity emotional position. I don't think it's a doctrinal argument, because it already says what it does in the Bible and doesn't need any external creative interpretation. For instance, I just listed the verses and called out a few key words like the "Word was God" but you wrote quite a bit in order to shift and justify your interpretation from a literal one to a creative one.

It seems you were once told that catholics came up with the trinity? That's untrue. It's in the Bible, so that's where it came from. Whomever made that claim may have been motivated to associate the Bible verse interpretation with a 'bad guy' in order to fortify such a anti-God-trinity position. As an example, if I said that Hitler also was a denier of Jesus' divinity and if I used that as an argument against others, I believe it would be a dirty emotional tactic. Even if it's true, it's irrelevant what someone else believes. It only matters what God says and God said in John 1:1 that the Word is God and in verse 18 it says Jesus was the Word. Therefore Jesus is God. This doesn't threaten me and I fully embrace and accept God's Word as truth. Since it says it clearly in the Bible that Jesus is God, I believe Jesus is God. Why are some uncomfortable with this truth?

In the great day of judgement, who is the judge, and in what manner will you be judged?

    Here's a hint:

    Revelation 22:12-14

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Don't believe Jesus will judge you as he states above?

Then believe what Jesus states here in scripture:

    Matthew 7:14

14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    FEW WILL FIND IT!!!!!!!!

Stay focused on the true WORD!

    Matthew 7:15

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Man can, and will deceive. If a man's words don't agree with Jesus Christs words/scripture then it is False, discard it!

    Stay focused on the WORD.

    Luke 11:28

"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it."

    The WORD!

    God Bless.

Thank you so much. You know I never thought I'd be going through a lot especially like this in losing a lot. What I mean by this is that finances are getting so rough I had to take on another job but God put me here. I work at McDonald's a 36 year old but I love it. For the few hours I'm here after my first job I get to speak to the public, Co workers, and many more leaving little seeds out there. That's why he sent me here. I know there's going to be a lot of difficulty in my Christian life. I wish I had more funds to give to the poor and feed them, I wish I could do so much more but I think the most important thing is just let him guide me as to what I need to do for him. He's the leader I'm just the follower. Andrew Murray said it best if you want to be his you have to make him your master and know he is ! God bless y'all. I'll check in at a later time.

If you knew me, you'd know that I don't spend time being a casual christian.

    I evangelize elderly shut-in people.

    JAMES 1

23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a DOER of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

27 PURE RELIGION and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Most old folks are afraid to go out like they used to. If we watch a Christian movie, share a snack and conversation afterwards; that's between us and God. It keeps this little community alive with friendship and God-consciousness.

God doesn't need monks. He needs people who will be His Body to bless others.

This is my second post about Esther . I also noticed the similarities between Vashti and Saul , she was rejected from being a queen because she broke the laws of her land Esther Ch1 Verse 10-19 ,similar to what happened to Saul ,1st Samuel Ch15 Verse 26-28 . Whereas when Esther breaks the law she appears to be forgiven by the king Esther Ch4 Verse 16 through to next chapter and we all know how many times David broke the law and was forgiven .

The word "dog" used here is just a derogatory term representing many evil doers who will not be be allowed in thru the gate into the City (Heaven).

Real dogs on the other hand, are far ahead of most people regarding salvation! Most of us can learn many things from dogs, like unconditional love, loyalty, forgiving, a good heart, easily satisfied, happy and caring, and a great honest companion!

Yes, real dogs will be in heaven!

2 Corinthians 12:9 God's Power Of ALL-Sufficient GRACE in our weaknesses and infirmities:

"PEACE With God," and knowing what good "tribulation worketh in us" ( Romans 5:1-5)

"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." ( Romans 8:18)

The Spirit "helps our infirmities, And Prays For us" ( Romans 8:26)

The Spirit "Intercedes For us, According To The Will Of God" ( Romans 8:27)

God Makes "all things Work Together For Good," for HIS Own ( Romans 8:28)

We are "Predestinated To Be Conformed To The Image Of God's SON" ( Romans 8:29)

God Helps us "bear our testings" ( 1 Corinthians 10:13)

We have The Wonderful "Comfort Of God!" ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a Far More Exceeding and Eternal Weight of Glory" ( 2 Corinthians 4:17)

God will "change our vile body" to be "like HIS Glorious Body!" ( Philippians 3:21) Amen?

    Conclusion:

"For our infirmities/sufferings"? Should we not "follow Paul our 'pattern'" ( 1 Ti 1:16)?:

"And HE Said Unto me, My GRACE Is Sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that The Power of CHRIST may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for CHRIST's Sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." ( 2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

    {Why do so-called "faith healers" ignore This Excellent Word Of God?}

    Amen? And Amen.

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!

Jesus warned about the great Abomination of Desolation that was coming standing in the Holy Places the Churches Everything became spritually desolate soon after the Church started. Micah said he wd give them up till the woman gives birth ( Rev 12 : 5 ) lover and friend has thou put far from me and my acquaintence into darkness . I am the light of the WORLD BUT THE NITE COMES WHEN NO MAN CAN WORK . The early Church was a great ARMY but i think she is Ezeckiels dried bones the Israel of God that are gona be raised up AGAIN the last day . One of the N.T. writters SAID THIS IS THE LAST HOUR. Just think of that he saw the Church in her last hr, The last 2000 yrs ( 2 days ) have been nothin but wars and rumors of wars NO Prince of Peace . Your House is left unto you desolate. Jesus said. 4 Times in John 6 I will raise them up again that last day. But God told Elijah or Elisha he wd always have a remnant somewhere .

Hello everyone . Has anyone else noticed this ? And if so what do you think of it please ? Ruth is a lovely story and at the end of it we find out that she is actually an ancestor of Jesus through his mother Mary , even though it states in the law that a Moabite shall not enter the congregation of Israel ,Nehemiah Ch13 Verse 1. I noticed in Esther it appears that she and her uncle Mordecai could be descendants of Saul , 1st Sam Ch14 Verse 50+51 ,1st Samuel Ch15 whole thing , 2nd Samuel Ch16 Verse5-8 , Esther Ch2 Verse5-7 ,Esther Ch3 Verse1 an Agagite is a member of an Amalakite tribe , Esther Ch9 Verse10 . This would make the book of Esther more than a beautiful story in a similar way that Ruth is more than a beautiful story . It may be a stretch but could it possibly indicate some kind of redemption / atonement / reconciliation for Saul ?
