Easter ,.. a pagan holiday of fertility,.. the word Easter in Acts , should actually be Passover , for in that time , they went by the solar calendar,.. on that first day of the spring equinox, they would count 15 days , then the 3 following days were the passova, then counted 7 sets of 50 days to make a calendar year , the first 50 after Passover was for Pentecost, then of course the next was September 29 th for the feast of tabernacles,.. they met 3 times a year,.. they didn't have Bibles , they would read from the scrolls,.. funny ? How now we go by moons ? So sorry, we as children of God , cannot even keep the sacred days right, an of course, there are many new versions of the KJB , an most , have been altered by certain people, to confuse people,.. hmmmm , wonder who's behind that. ?

If one errs from the truth and wants to return to Christ but fears they have fallen away (in reference to Hebrews 6) do you think that the fact that they find it hard to experience godly sorrow means that they are unable to be brought back to repentance? I have read it explained a few ways: those who have completely fallen away don't want to repent, or they don't believe so they do not, but my concern is what if someone who has fallen away does want to repent but God in His power basically says no? God doesn't contradict Himself but that notion has kept me awake before.

If you are concerned your heart is hardened and you do not feel sorrow over your sins, how can you check to be sure your conscience isn't seared and the Holy Spirit is still indwelling in you? I have sinned against God and had moments of fear, doubt and unbelief but though I want to repent of my sins I do not feel godly sorrow. I recognize I was doing things that were wrong but I do not know if God will grant me repentance again. This is scary. Any help with scripture would be appreciated...thanks everybody

Why don't you do some research into the KJV translators? If you're fair minded, and your research is thorough, you'll walk back the statement, "the kjv translators did a decent job in translation." God used those 47 men to preserve His written word. Superlatives can't really describe the job that those men did. Preservation and inspiration are inextricably linked. Without preservation the Bible is little more than pseudepigrapha, apocrypha, or other sacred writings. "The writing of the Word of God by inspiration is no greater miracle than the miracle of its preservation." Jasper James Ray

Hi Dgjot So are you saying you don't have times of disbelief, look at the children of Israel forty years in a wilderness to clean out an entire generation. Then I think of Gods patience of everything he did and overlooked to bring about my deliverance through His Son Jesus Christ. Moses saw a Bush not burning God talking to him didn't believe it, needed to see another display of power staff turned to snake and back, then tells God can't talk too eloquently and God makes Aaron available remember these people were just as human as you and I. I believe if God would work that big in most peoples lives it would scare the hell out of them. I personally met a woman who was ministered to died sent to the spot in the hospital where they take the dead bodies to await autopsy then got up. Someday we'll believe what's really available. Dgjot, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS understanding and HIS wisdom.

The MORE these verses become TRUTH to you, the more understanding you will receive from God's word.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God (SPIRIT) that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL (Spirit causes his will to be your will) and do HIS good pleasure.

Ephesians 1:11 In whom (in Christ) we ALSO have obtained an INHERITANCE (to become Son's of God; exactly like Christ the FIRSTBORN, I am the first (Son) and the last (Son), being predesinated according to the PURPOSE of HIM (Spirit) who WORKETH ALL THINGS after the COUNCEL OF HIS WILL.

We are the POT; HE (Spirit) (Life) (Truth) is causing you (all mankind) TO WILL and TO DO what has been purposed; to create you exactly like the SEED (THE WORD) that was PLANTED IN YOU.

Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature (all creation) WAITETH for the manifestation of the Sons of God.

Romans 8:21 For the creature (all creation) ITSELF shall be DELIVERED from the bondage of corruption unto the LIBERTY of the Sons of God.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh (the deception of this world), and keepeth MY WORKS (we are the pot, he is the potter) until the end, to him (the overcomer) will I give POWER over the nations.

Revelation 2:27 And he (the overcomer) shall rule the nations (because you are exactly like Christ, able to judge in righteousness) with a rod of iron; as vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. ( Psalms 2:8-9)

Isaiah 1:26 And I will restore thy JUDGES as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning, afterwards (after the world is judged) thou shalt be called, The city or righteousness, the faithful city.

Isaiah 26:9 ...when thy JUDGEMENTS (resurrection to judgement) are in the earth, the world will LEARN righteousness.

Proverbs 16:5 By MERCY and TRUTH iniquity is PURGED ....

Hi Fred I disagree with the statement its impossible to know where to be and what to do, if you walk by the spirit, God can tell you where to Go what to do and how to do it, if your meek and humble enough, then you see deliverance His way. Psalms 103:7 He made his ways known unto Moses his acts known unto the children of Israel. A friend of mine backed my car up one day and hit a mint condition old cadillac with my car you could hear the crunch we were both sitting in my car.

He went back and saw the damage. At that time I wasn't well off financially so I told Him get in the car. he got in I sat there and thanked god for there to be no damage to the vehicles I heard its o.k. told the guy we're leaving he said what are we going to do about he damage I said it was fixed he called me a liar. He got out of the car went back to see came back and ask what just happened I told Him I prayed and God took care of it.

Dropped him off he thought he lost His mind I assured him he didn't if you believe God according to His Word He Works. He didn't believe nothing new In His Service

Those in Abraham's bosom across from hell! Remember Lazarus and the rich man. Our sin was paid for on the cross, it is finished! Those that followed after God didn't know who the messiah was! Remember even the apostles didn't understand why Jesus had to die. He preached to those in Paradise or Abraham's bosom! They were then resurrected following Him to Heaven. Paradise is no longer there. Hell is.

Mishael exactly right there is no God the Granson in the kjv bible but there is something a zillion times more reveling which is that great Promise that God Almighty made to Christ I will multiply thy seed as the Stars of Heaven which are his offspring as Isaiah said he will see his seed and be satisfied ,and behold me and the Children the Lord has given me his offspring thats y he mentions the babes and sucklings they are his offspring via his seed the words of God the Children of Promise which are spirits the H.G. OUR NEW INNERMAN . Just as there was a natural Israel via the seed of Abraham there is gonna be an Israel of God via the seed of Christ and they are in fact Gods Gransons being the seed of Christ . Thats y the sower of the good seed wants to sow his precious seed in our hearts that we might birth a baby Christ the H.G. THAT CHILD OF PROMISE. Gods Gransons , The very fact that he refers to himself as the bridegroom implies his Children. which are spirits that are gonna be born in US ,WE BE THE WOMAN.

(cont) in the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts of the Bible. Agape is a higher form of unconditional, Godly love and philia is a lesser form used for friendship or brotherly love. The ignorant criticize the KJV translators for translating "agape" simply as love. The truth is the Greek words agapao/agape and phileo/philia overlap in the manuscripts, and there's no discernible difference between the two in the Scripture. For example, 2 Samuel 13:15 says, "Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise, be gone." The problem is that both agapao and the cognate agape can refer to Amnon's incestuous rape of his half sister Tamar. Also, backslidden Demas who loves the world with agape love. "For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica;" 2 Timothy 4:10. There's John 3:35 that says, "The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand,"; later John 5:20 says, "For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth." The Father's love for the Son, which is without question the greatest love, is described as "agape love" in one instance and "phileo love" in the other, and by the same author, John. Houston, we have a problem. The point is there isn't a way to know what kind of love each of these Greek words is referring to in Scripture. Context is key. Bottom line, the Bible's been translated into English, and the 47 translators of the King James Bible did an inerrant, infallible job. You and today's scholars and translators, not so much. Knowing Greek is fine for reading and understanding Greek myths and literature, but not for reading and understanding Scripture, which is God's written word. One thing more, I don't care that you consult the Greek to study your Bible, but I do care when you imply or suggest that it's better to defer to the Greek to know the truth of Scripture.

Pedophilia people, zoophilia people, furries gays, and clothing optonal people are not Sodomites. They are wanting one person to be a condeming judge.

    Proverbs 3:32-34

    King James Version

32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. Genesis 19:9 9And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. 2 Peter 2:7

"And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:"

King James Version. Proverbs 3:32: For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous." People are froward - forceful with their words and actions to spesific people. Matthew 11:12

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force." People are forceful toward the people I mentioned. Islamic People don't like what I teach. The catholic church does not say what I teach. Pedophilia people are not like either one of them. Whatever you do unto the least of these my brethren, you are doing it unto me. Romans 12:2

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." People s think God's will is: You are associated with that name: die, or you are a pedophile or a sex offender, when a young person just so happens to see parts, that made their life to be a reality.,

Dgjot Yes Abraham wife sarah was his sister by different mothers same father. I beg to differ on lot's daughters they didn't turn around like his wife who didn't believe the angels. I'm not saying what Lots daughters did is justified, also sarah did eventually rise up and believe, we can thank God for His patience and longsuffering on a lot of events in the old testament. Some times I think what would I have done. In His Service

I saw a sign on a storage place saying: "we are here for you." They are there for your money, not people. The advertisement is deceptive. Satan deceives. An honest sign would read: We are here for your money, and only your money. The church taught people to hate people. People are taught to love a cloth thing. Free cannot exist untill money is no more. People will demand that we use it, when God who made free is in their mind?
  • IMKane - In Reply on 1 Samuel 1 - 4 years ago
Jesse, The crux of my argument is that the translating of the Scripture has been done by the 47 translators of the King James Bible. God's written word is preserved in the KJV. I also contend that today's Greek and Hebrew scholars do not possess the knowledge that the 47 KJV translators possessed when they translated the Greek and Hebrew words into English. Your "scholarship" in the Greek doesn't measure up to the scholarship possessed by any one of the 47 translators. In their time they were the best of the best. I seriously doubt that you would be considered among the best of the best, even by today's standards, in our time. You ask how looking up words in the Greek and Hebrews causes confusion when you have an example right in front of your face. We both gave definitions for sanctification; mine came from looking at the Webster's 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language and the English definition; yours came from looking at the Greek word HAGIOS and its definition in Greek. The definition I gave for the sanctification, you're not going to find in the Greek. But your definition, set apart, was the second definition in Webster's. I chose because because Scripture teaches that God does the sanctifying in believers. Another better example of the confusion created by consulting the Greek is the word "Easter" in Acts 12:4 in the KJV. The ignorant argue that it's a mistranslation of the Greek word "pascha" and should it be translated as "passover." The Greek word "pascha" is used for both passover and Easter, so consulting the Greek offers no solution to question: Was Herod was referring to Easter in Acts 12:4 ort the Jewish passover? The answer is revealed in the Scripture. BTW, the KJV translators were right to translate pascha as Easter, and not as passover. Another problem for the smarter-by-half Greek geeks is the word love. The most common words for love in Greek are agape, eros, philia and storge, and philia and agape are the words that appear (cont)

Hi Robert Good Morning This is a remarkable record of Jesus Christs delivering two men possessed with devils first the actions of these men was so bad nobody could go by them so they were well known. Now the story build up verse 29 and behold take note! they cried out [not the men] what have we to do with thee Jesus thou Son of God proof that it was not the men.

Art thou come hither to torment us before the time? and there was a good way off from them a herd of swine feeding . In eastern culture they had herds of animals that grazed near the towns that many times were the livelihood of the people in the town The devils besought Him saying if thou cast us out suffer us the word suffer means commit to go into the swine. Notice he did not tell them to go into the swine he just said go.

So they went into the swine and the herd went into the sea and perished. The herdsman had there minds blown and absolutely were afraid went to town told the story and the towns people came out and begged Jesus Christ to leave. The interesting thing is who was concerned about the deliverance of the two men? Many times Jesus Christ did miracles and the reaction was absolute astonishment or fear. In His Service

Jesse Just an interesting thing to know Russians had some Christians behind bars and tried to brainwash them and couldn't do it, also there was a russian mathematician who was a so called absolute atheist who decided to set out to prove the bible was mathematically imperfect. Three years later he was born again its amazing what happens when you work the Word Of God. In His Service
