Hello, thanks for sharing your opinion. You used the word 'we' as though you have grouped yourselves with others, assuming others have the same opinion. I could use 'we' also.

I'd like to question one of your assumptions: "Children of God don't want to sin"

    Is that true?

Do you believe is Paul a child of God? In my view, Paul became one of the strongest Christian evangelists in world history. He was absolutely dedicated to preaching the message of Jesus Christ, and wrote more books than anyone else in the Bible. He also wrote the following which he admitted to struggling with sin:

    Rom 7:14-19

Do you have any evidence for where the belief that Christians don't want to sin or aren't tempted by sin comes from? Currently, without further Biblical support I tend to believe Paul and what he wrote. God bless.

I know dozens of Christians living in sin right now and they are enjoying it immensely. They are taught they don't have to try to avoid it- that human effort is 'bad', so they follow the world and its desires, assuming they're following Christ. I know some assume there's nothing to worry about since they assume they're 'saved', but I am worried for their souls based on what the Bible says. John 14:15-17, ROMANS 11:6, Hebrews 10:26, James 2:19, 1 Cor 9:24-27. Is it 'wrong' to take the Bible verses literally and be concerned for one's salvation? Is it 'wrong' to believe in the Bible?

Robin: I suggest that when you are reading or studying the King James Bible you search online and pull up a King James Bible dictionary based on Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. Webster's first dictionary included definitions for many of the words used in the King James Bible. Although many of the words from the KJV are still in use today, such as unicorn, the commonly held definitions for those words have changed since the 1769 version of the King James Bible was published.

It's Scripturally correct to say that there's only one gospel for this dispensation of grace. However, when Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago, He was under the Law of Moses, and He preached and taught a kingdom gospel to the Jews, and so did His apostles. He did not teach the Samaritans or Gentiles, and neither did His apostles.

Paul writes in Galatians 1:6-7, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ."

Later in Galatians 2:7-9, Paul adds, "But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision."

Clearly there was one gospel for the circumcision and another for the uncircumcision. What happened in the Galatian church is the members had mixed the two gospels because Messianic Jews from the church at Jerusalem had taught them the kingdom gospel and insisted that be circumcised and obey the Law of Moses to be saved. It was agreed upon by those in authority, i.e., Peter, James, and John, that Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles, and that Peter was the apostle to the Jews.

Scripture clearly teaches that there were two gospels. Scripture must be studied, not just read, and it must be rightly divided to understand the truth of God's written word. Paul says the Scripture is given for reproof and correction. What I find most troublesome these days is that far too many self-identified Christians refuse to accept correction once they have been corrected.

There are still translations of the Bible that use the phrase, "lest ye be judged." The Berean Literal Bible, the NASB, and the Aramaic Bible in Plain English all use that terminology. It's not lost or gone, it's just that the KJV uses different wording. :) I was worried for a second, there, too! I remembered it as "lest ye be judged."

I read the story of Samson. His sins seem not very grievous but God departed from him. Is my conclusion right? The only sin I can notice is the visit to the harlot and eating the honey from the carcass of a lion.

Hi Robin Keeping it simple Ecclesiastes 9:5+6 from dust thou art unto dust thou shalt return all people are dead or asleep until the resurrections. Now two different schools of thought If your born again spirit Goes back to God who gave it which some believe is also the soul. Second school is breath life which is soul life when you take your last breath end of soul life and body to dust of the ground and if born again Gods spirit Goes back to the Giver. I'm sure there will be other comments and opinions. I've seen both schools of thought layed out biblically. in His Service

If there are any differences between what the apostles said, they can be reconciled very easily by what Jesus/God said.

Jesus forgave the adulteress in scripture below:

    John 8:11

"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

Jesus forgave the adulteress and asked her to TAKE ACTION - GO AND SIN NO MORE. If only grace and faith are needed - why would Jesus instruct the sinner to SIN NO MORE?

Jesus also instructs us to follow the commandments(10 Commandments)

    John 14:15

"If ye love me, keep my commandments."

In order to keep the commandments it is necessary to take ACTION.

Many Christians today want to take the "easy way" by professing only "Grace and Faith"..and this way of thinking is not in accordance with what Jesus taught.

    God Bless

Hello to you , I'm sorry to hear that you have health problems , I have them too though at the moment I don't think I have anything life threatening , just uncomfortable . I take medication every day , I believe that God has given us the brains for these treatments in His mercy , many medications come from natural things that God created . I have had advanced cancer , thanks to God I survived , so I know how it feels to fear for your life . You sound like a very calm and together person , please don't be afraid , He is ALWAYS with you . All day and all night . He loves you completely , He always has and always will . I hope to meet you though it probably won't be in this life , in the world to come . May you feel God's love all around you all day every day .

IMKane Peter was still caught up in works of the Judean Law, Paul knew the walk by the spirit went above and beyond works of the Flesh. Walking by the spirit is not doing because you have to its doing because of the Love God gave us through the faith of Jesus Christ Galatians 3:22-28 we want to. The one is action out of works, the other is believing in the grace and action by walking by the spirit. One is perspiration the other is inspiration. In His Service

IMKane It was God who called Paul to the gentiles Acts 9:15 Long Before the Church at Jerusalem agreed.
  • Jen - In Reply on Hebrews 8 - 4 years ago
I think we're talking about the multitude of sins we committed every day before we were saved. If we weren't really saved, our nature hasn't changed (we're incapable of changing ourselves very much at all, maybe eating and exercise habits or other disciplines, but fundamental changes in the nature of our minds and hearts are God's work), and we're probably still clinging to sin in the darkness.

If we consider ourselves saved, but still wonder if it's okay to commit the sins in which we used to partake freely and which, frankly, the world only encourages, we have not actually received conviction and are not converted. Children of God don't want to sin, it breaks our hearts and makes us ashamed of the carnal nature, we hear other people cursing or witness violence between them and apologize to God because we can feel His grief. We see the flesh of the demonized dead exposed all around us like meat on grocery store shelves for public display and we turn away to give them the respect they don't know they should have for the bodies God gave them and to keep ourselves unpolluted by lustful or judgmental thoughts. If God hasn't spoken into our lives about His definition of right and wrong and about how He feels - or if we don't care about how He feels - it is no small wonder that we see merit in arguing over whether or not grace grants the liberty to sin. The bible says it doesn't, several times over, but we shouldn't need it to. Not if God is our father. We know whose child we are by the one we desire to emulate in our lives. There's no need to wonder, it is evident. We didn't make any of this up, there are only 2 sides to be on, and no gray areas in between. If our preference in life is toward sin, we are still children of the devil, and we should ask God with sincere hearts to deliver us from the evil one. We don't reluctantly submit our lives to Christ, we do it with overwhelming joy and gratitude. If we are reluctant, our nature hasn't changed, and we need saving.

Hiya IMKane thank you for that interesting Question but there were not 2 gospels but 2 manner of ppl that same Gospel was sent to . It was just 1 gospel simply b/c it was 1 Spirit. By 1 Spirit are we ALL baptised into the body of Christ weather we be JEW or GENTILE BOND OR FREE ETC. 1 ST COR. 12:13 .It didnt matter to God if they were jew or gentile ,they both needed to be bornagain of that incorruptible seed etc. simply b/c Jew or Gentile they both carried that stain and spot of Adam. And the only remedy was the blood of that 1 lamb Christ Jesus. Neither circumcision nor uncirumcision but a new creature which is the H.G. THAT Child of Promise That is gona be born in us sinners. I.E not Jew or Gentile but a new creature which is the H.G. Our new heart and new spirit etc. Thats y there is no more jew or gentile we be new creatures in Christ Jesus. There was just 1 lamb for the whole world. Thus 1 gospel k

I've got a lot of things going on this week, but I'll try to write back soon. For me 9/11 is a day to remember. So was Yom Kippur, the day I met Jesus; 36 years ago.

I study weird. I try to get a panoramic view sometimes, and will fast and read through many books to trace movements. I'm trying to organize notebooks too. They're everywhere.

One of my favorite studies are the wars of Israel: thru Samuel, Kings and Chronicles. There's a harmony in ways.

I think the 2nd longest study was on Esau: his history and ancestors; where they settled.

When you study it, you understand better why the Mideast is always at war. Israel is such a tiny country. People could jog the width ever day if it was flat. There such ancestral hatred. The place of Armageddon. Amazing.

    I'm rambling.

Being found faithful, separated unto the gospel, despising even those who refuse to hear you. These terms are the prerequisite to becoming and being a saint! A holy priesthood a chosen generation, found in the life of Jesus Christ. The saints are those who follow Him, who have given themselves unto Him!

Saint, is a word clearly given in scripture, we being sanctified by His blood, through faith in His blood, looking unto Him, our author and finisher. Even so, His own received Him not, though He was a saint, given unto man for the reconciliation of God and man, yet they cared not for Him.

The word saint is a perfect way too describe those who trust His word. In the spiritual world, which is aligned with the carnal world , their is a place of constant acceptance and rejection of the message of God. The saints are those ,who though they are not Angels , have a preeminence in the things that concern eternity.

These things determined already by God and are consistent with who He is, would require nothing less than a saint!.

Flighty, yet very much real. The power found in Christ, is the power man needs to overcome evil with good!

The judgment of all things is at hand! Repent and be baptized!

Hi Simpson. The Book of Ecclesiastes that you see in the Bible is understood to have been written by King Solomon ( Ecclesiastes 1:1). Ecclesiasticus is an Old Testament Apocryphal Book (you can find it on this Site by going to the top bar on the Main Page, under "More"). This book, alongwith several others, was not canonized (i.e. not regarded as authoritative when certain tests were applied to them). "Canon" comes from the Greek, kanon, which means 'measuring stick or rule'. As much as there is good value in those books, the dubious authorship & errors found within them, forces one to do a careful reading. So, we don't have these apocryphal books included in the KJV, though some other Bible versions, particularly the Catholic Edition, include them. I understand that Orthodox Churches refer to them as well.

Dear Frankzdrrik orijola. We will fully understand things little by little. Be patient i Christ. He will fulfil His Word.

Every morning i take a little pill, and every morning i say to my self. U take your trust&belive pill again?

The time will come werry soon that the time come up on us christian ppl. That it will be difficult!

I have those today, but not sure for tomorrow!

I dont look at it like sin, becouse it helps me right now. If i dont have these pills, my body will soon fall apart. And ill goo to my heavenly Father, as i longing for. It'll be the solution on that problem. Easy.

If we have our case in the light with our Father it is nothing too be anxious about. But i have got a realistic time too talk about Jesus over and over again. Matthew 10 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

Antichrist was already in the world when Jesus was here in flesh. Becouse the antichrist stand against everything who is right christian living. And Jesus meet that everyday, evan from His own ppl. Stand against the thrut is antichrist.

When i read about what problem u have, i get worried for all the other ppl who is in here.

We already have chip in our visa card. And that day will come, and it will not allow ppl who dont have the mark many things.

Among something it will be, items from the pharmacy and travel, the bordes will close down for us. We will not get any food, or werry little. U see antichrist have done us all werry depending on electricity, heath care, money in the bank. Our household and remember we are not there yet!

Luke 16. 9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

    Actually we are here!

But for whom it is wrong i suggests that u do what is right for u,. God bless, love u all in Jesus name.
