    Brother Spencer,

Yes,amen. Every believer who belongs to Christ will stand before the judgment seat (Bema) of Christ. At that judgment, we will be judged, not for heaven or hell, because Jesus already purchased our salvation. We will be judged to determine our reward. That which is of Christ, we will be rewarded for and that which is not of Him will burn. This judgment is separate from the Great White Throne judgment that takes place after the thousand-year reign of Christ.

From my understanding, when Christ comes for His church, the dead in Christ will rise first, and the we will be caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air. And then we will stand before the Bema Seat of Christ to receive our reward. The wicked dead will not be raised until the thousand year reign. They will stand before the Great White Throne judgment and will then be cast into the lake of fire (Hell)

It's Scripturally correct to say that there's only one gospel for this dispensation of grace. However, when Jesus walked the earth 2000 years ago, He was under the Law of Moses, and He preached and taught a kingdom gospel to the Jews, and so did His apostles. He did not teach the Samaritans or Gentiles, and neither did His apostles.

Paul writes in Galatians 1:6-7, "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ."

Later in Galatians 2:7-9, Paul adds, "But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision."

Clearly there was one gospel for the circumcision and another for the uncircumcision. What happened in the Galatian church is the members had mixed the two gospels because Messianic Jews from the church at Jerusalem had taught them the kingdom gospel and insisted that be circumcised and obey the Law of Moses to be saved. It was agreed upon by those in authority, i.e., Peter, James, and John, that Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles, and that Peter was the apostle to the Jews.

Scripture clearly teaches that there were two gospels. Scripture must be studied, not just read, and it must be rightly divided to understand the truth of God's written word. Paul says the Scripture is given for reproof and correction. What I find most troublesome these days is that far too many self-identified Christians refuse to accept correction once they have been corrected.

    Brother Jesse

Here we have "ONLY" two groups, one group works abide after testing by fire, and they received an award.

The others works burned up and they suffered loss but they themselves are saved.

No Mention of anyone going to Hell!

1 Corinthians 3:13-15. Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: BUT HE HIMSELF SHALL BE SAVED; YET SO AS BY FIRE.

    Hey John,

Like is said, many people have a plethora of interpretations on Revelation. The word antichrist has developed into a being, along with seven years into a story of fiction. The word antichrist is only in first and second John ( 1 John 2:18,22) (1 John4:3) ( 1John 1:7), if you read, there are billions of antichrists today.

If you read Revelation there is not one, or two, but three, Satan, the beast, and the false prophet. Satan is cast down to earth Revelation 12; this is permanent because no place is left for him in heaven, he gives his seat, authority, and power to the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit. In Revelation 13 this beast comes out of the sea (bottomless pit) ( Revelation 11:7) ( Revelation 17:8). The second beast (false prophet) Makes image and causes those to worship the first beast and take the mark ( Revelation 13:11-18)

I am not familiar with J. Vernon Mcgee so I cannot comment on what he said. Many takes Daniel, Mathew and some of Paul and paint some fantastic picture of end time. If you are studying Revelation read it from front to back 5-10 times with no preconceived ideas in your head before you start to study it.

Many interpretations use scripture and prophecies that have already been fulfilled, pray before you study and let the Holy Spirit lead you. Clear your mind from all the things you have heard and understand that somethings have not been revealed to us as yet. Some things we will not know until they happen.

    Walk in the light,

To Mishael: According to Galatians, it was agreed that Peter was commissioned to minister to the Jews, i.e., the circumcision, and Paul was commissioned to minister to the Gentiles, the uncircumcision, right? Please cite the Scripture/s where the 12 apostles were anointed to minister to both Jews and Gentiles? Also, please cites the Scriptures stating that Paul had the background to understand all cultures he would encounter in his ministry, and that Jesus's original disciples traveled with Paul at times.

One thing more, did Jesus or any of His apostles ever teach that unity was more important than doctrine. The whole point of Paul's letter to the Galatians involved doctrine. Paul was angry because Jews who believed in Jesus Christ were teaching another gospel to the Galatians that was different from the gospel Paul had taught them.

Is revelation 13:16-18 happened in the past or happening in our present time or coming soon ing the future?
  • S Spencer - In Reply on Hebrews 8 - 4 years ago
    Amen Brother Jesse.

I believe it's widely held that the judgment seat is called the Bema seat throughout scripture in other places.

Paul was brought up to the judgment seat in Acts, That judgment seat is called the Bema seat.

Acts 18:12. And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

Judgment seat is the same as Bema seat "Greek"

Judgment seat of Christ is the Bema seat of Christ in Greek as mentioned in

2 Corinthians 5:10. For we must all appear before the JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

    Greek:

    Transliteration: bma

    Pronunciation: bay'-ma

Definition: From the base of G939; a step that is foot breath; by implication a rostrum that is tribunal: - judgment-seat set [foot] on throne.

KJV Usage: judgment seat(10x), throne(1x), to set (one's) foot on(withG4128)(1x).

    Occurs: 13

    In verses: 12

Thank you Brother for all you do! You have been a blessing to many in sharing.

    God bless.

I'm having trouble finding a specific gospel in your response. Paul and Peter taught gospels to the Gentiles and Jews, respectively, right? So what exactly was that gospel message that Paul taught to the Gentiles; and what exactly was the gospel message that Peter taught to the Jews?

According to the Scripture, Peter taught that repentance, baptism, and belief in Jesus as Lord and Christ were necessary for salvation; and Paul taught that salvation is by grace through faith plus nothing else. Peter's salvation message appears to be conditional and involves faith and works, while Paul's salvation message seems to be unconditional and involves faith alone. Can somebody reconcile these differences in their salvation messages? Thank you.

Does anyone remember Matthew 7:1 being "Judge not, lest ye be judged?" A friend is trying to convince me that the KJV has been changed. This is so disturbing. I would really appreciate anyone's opinion on this. God bless.

    Hi David.

Genesis 25:22-26. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

    And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people;

( AND THE ELDER SHALL SERVE THE YOUNGER.)

And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.

And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Romans 9:11-12. (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil,

( THAT THE PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION MIGHT STAND, NOT OF

WORKS, BUT OF HIM THAT CALLETH;)

" It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger."

Here you see Sovereignty, Election, Grace, lived out in two men, and then two nations.

I believe this is where you'll see types throughout scripture patterns this order emphasizing God's Sovereign Way,

First Adam, Second Adam. "JESUS "

    Flesh, Spirit. Ect..

    God bless.

David Hudson Actually Jacob was the son by promise of God to continue in the believers line and Esau sold his birthright out for food which was not believing God at all, so actually the lie was esau in Gen. 25:30-34 Esau sold His birthright for food. Also in Gen. 26:34+35 he marries outside of the tribe. In chapter 27 Rebecca was being shown by God how to make sure the birthright went to the right son, since the one who was to get it already sold it. Not Honest There's more there than meets the eye. Hello English sacha,

No, you have not offended me at all. Prior to posting an answer to a person's question, it is sometimes difficult for me to determine whether or not that the person asking the question is a "babe" in Christ or someone who has been studying the word for a while. When I read the question "Will we see our loved ones again in judgment," I had no way of knowing if this person has ever heard of the Bema Seat of Christ or not. That is why I asked which judgment they were speaking of, because there will be two separate future judgments.

I do realize that the KJV does not use the word Bema because it is a Greek word. But the KJV is a translation, and the original Greek text uses Bema. The translators translated Bema Seat of Christ into judgment seat of Christ in our English text. I am wondering if I am the only person here that has ever heard of the Bema Seat? Hopefully someone else has heard of it. I'm especially hoping that the person I responded to has heard of it, or at a bare minimum looked it up to make sure I was not just making words up that simply do not exist. It is a real word, not something I made up.

The word Bema is a biblical word. It comes from the original text, before the King James translation existed. There are no Greek words in our English bibles, but those words do exist, and Bema is one of those words. I probably should have stated that Bema Seat of Christ is the same as saying judgment seat of Christ. I did not mean to confuse you or cause anyone to search the entire bible looking for a Greek word that's not there.

Sometimes I just make an assumption that in our day and age, most people know how to do a Google search to look up words or biblical phrases and where they come from. I do that at times if there's something someone posts that I never heard of. I will be careful to state where the word comes from in my future posts. Thank you for pointing that out!

Hi Louis Rivera In regards to Acts 3:19 from context telling them to repent and be converted would lead to the age of Grace that we live in now. That's what my understanding is, the only other reference I see is In Isaiah 28:11+12 eleven is talking about speaking in tongues. 12 To whom he said This is the wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest and this is the refreshing; yet they would not here. Please feel free to give other opinions. In His service

First, it would help to know your daughters age. Had she any exposure to the Ten Commandments?

In 1962, our Government took the Bible out of the schools. We no longer said the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag. No one could pray. I was 11 and I remember feeling confused every morning at school.

It's up to parents to provide spiritual life to their kids: going to church, or reading children's Bible stories to them. Saying the "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayer, at bedtime. We were corrected openly for lying, stealing, coveting toys, etc.

Parents expose their children to God. Later at some point (some call it the age of accountability) ,the Holy Spirit knocks on the door of hearts, and calls us to give our burdens to Jesus. To trust Him only, to take our wrongs and transform us into His beloved children. There is no set age for this to happen.

They don't have to know Bible from Genesis to RevelationOnly that Jesus loves and accepts them.

An innocent child that knows nothing, and HAS'NT been told the consequences of sin; IS NOT AT age of accountability. God received their immortal souls into Heaven, with Him. All they know is happiness, beauty, and love. She cannot see you. She does not waste away with heartache of any type.

But you do. Your mind is tortured and making you feel ill. You are accountable. You need to visit the LINK, ON THE RED PAGE: BECOME A CHRISTIAN

Read along and do what it says you need to do. Everything that is hurting you now, confess it all to Jesus. "God, forgive me, a sinner." Tears are how God delivers us from the power of sin in our minds. Water baptism is your statement that you are a new creature: born again and you follow Jesus your Savior now.

You are accepted as a child of God, and you will see your daughter again. You can have that assurance now. Your daughter will be the first person you see. Live for that day.

Let your friends know you are a Christian now. Go to church.

That's your choice, and I agree that quarreling should be avoided, but discussing the Bible for better understanding of God's word is profit and does give God the glory. Those who are trying to teach others on this discussion forum should have scriptures to back up their claims. God bless.
