Yes , yes , yes ,. ALL of the Bible is important, old an New Testaments it's set as examples for there is nothing new under the sun ( Ecclesiastes ) Christianity is not a religion, it's a reality. Denominations, ie; divisions,.. For God does not wish us to be divided,.. God loves ALL his children, an most important, he is not a respecter of persons ,.. meaning, no one is more important to him than ALL ie; equal

    Peace

    Hi Brother Jesse.

Here is a parallel I believe you and Brother Chris was going over a little while back,

1 John 2:19. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, THAT THEY MIGHT BE MADE MANIFEST THAT THEY WERE NOT ALL OF US.

    Brother Robert,

Jesus tells a sinner in bible scripture below - to SIN NO MORE.

    John 8:10-11

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus didn't tell the adulteress to just believe in him.Jesus told her to SIN NO MORE! Why should any of us be any better or get any better treatment than the adulteress? We are not any better than her - WE ARE ALL SINNERS!

Jesus also said below in scripture:

    Matthew 7:14

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus is warning above that narrow is the way to heaven, and few of us will find it! There are many out there that will try to lead you away from the TRUTH. The truth may hurtbut the bible is the TRUTH.

Believing that Jesus Christ died for our sins is a good beginning. Changing your life will be the action that God wants you to take, just as he asked the adulteress to take action - and SIN NO MORE!

All of the answers that you are looking for you will find in the Bible. Read and believe!

God Bless and Happy Sabbath Day.

Hi Rick, if you haven't seen that then great- it's best to not be exposed to that if not on your guard with the armor on. Plenty of people here say we don't have to worry about avoiding sin or even trying. They say human effort of any kind is bad. This is a false teaching. It involves taking a verse and distorting it to mean the desired outcome, while ignoring a mountain of other verses which are commands to be obedient. Some also falsely assume that just because you do good that you're now trying to 'earn' salvation- nope- we're saved by grace. But Christians are called to follow Christ and be obedient and deny the sinful self. Following Christ is an action. It is a huge responsibility. Some assume they have zero responsibility and can do whatever they want.

I have attended plenty of churches that teach this- where one Sunday you get 'saved' then you're done and don't have to do anything anymore. Then you're told that if you try you're bad or legalistic. They would call Jesus legalistic though for John 14:15. We must beware of false teachings from satan. I know a Christian who will probably be committing fornication tonight and has for years. The pastor taught him he's saved and doesn't have anything to worry about. Is that true?

Then you read something like Romans 6:15-23 that says while we're free from slavery to sin, we're not totally free, but instead slaves (servants) to righteousness. And sinning is "no big deal." But it's very big deal to God. God hates it and sinning is like slapping Him in the face and spitting on Him. That is a very different message than some are Christians are saying. So, those who believe they don't have to try as a Christian probably has a false sense of security and need to heed Jesus's words: Luke 12:5. This warning from the Bible is spread here in love so that all will get right with the Lord and be saved. There's only one truth- and I'd rather lean towards following God than following man's ideas.

Adam I personally on this commentary site have not seen anybody say that because we're born again and have eternal life is a license to still do whatever you want. That being shared whether we like it or not on some level of what we do we sin. If you buy shoes that were produced buy an unbeliever in China that violates child labor laws then you contributed to that sin. There is a difference between intentional and unintentional sin. Thank God they were all paid for by Jesus Christ also we will receive our inheritance based on what we do not on what we do not. Just Sharing In His Service.

If we study the book of Daniel and Revelation also especially Deuteronomy 28 we will have to come to the only conclusion that the State of Israel is not the descendants of Ancient Israel. The Bible does not in the least support their claim. So who are these people that are being propped up by the West in particular the USA?

I read the guidelines for comments and agree with them, however one important point is missing honesty/truth.

I hope my comments are taken seriously and not dismissed as unimportant because I don't believe that that state is not of God.

Ever wonder why so many different "beliefs, religions, doctrines, ect."?, when we have only 1 Bible( the written word of God by Holy men of old as they were moved by the Holy Ghost) 2 Peter 1: 20-21( prophesies is another word for scripture ) for the christian believers? It's not what we have left "left in"the Bible or scriptures, it's what we have "taken out" and based our opinion, belief, doctrine, ect., we take the scripture out of its context, or we say:" the Old Test.is not for us today, some even say well that was for the early church ( the book of Acts), and yet go 1 book further or 2 and base our salvation on those scriptures. Folks if we are going to pick and choose what we want then the Cross is none effective, as a matter of fact none of it is effective. I apologize up front for using this analogy, but it like being prescribed an antibiotic and only taking 1 of the 30 pills in that prescription, any Doc. will tell you to follow through, don't stop at 1. My friends that is what our Great Physician told us through his example of the death on the cross, his burial in the grave and his resurrection out of that grave and ascention into heaven. For us to die out in repentance, be buried with him in baptism, and be filled with his Spirit from on high, and live an overcoming life. Don't just stop at 1. With much Love for His Word, and my Brethren and Sister's in Christ, God Bless.

The Word 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture and that all is all without exception is given by inspiration of God the words inspiration of God is translated theopneustos or God breathed, God told men what to write and they wrote it, and is profitable that means no loss for doctrine [right believing] reproof [tells us where we're off ] and correction [gets us back to right believing] for instruction in righteousness walking with God.

Next verse is purpose 17 That the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works, notice it doesn't say thoroughly it says throughly, that's because it's on inside spiritually cleaned up. In His Service

The Word of God also tells us all through the N.T.(letters by the way to already established churches) to beware of sedition, fables, traditions of men, things that would turn the hearts of saints, now if they're already saved why the New Test? Why not stop at the cross? Well why have any scriptures period "before the foundations of the world were framed the Lamb was slain"(I paraphrased it) 1 Peter 1:19-21. Roman's1:16-32 tells us that we can be turned over to a reprobate mind. Why Gal.the 6th chapter? If Why have faith?( listed as one of the fruits of the spirit). 2 Thess. Chapter 2 tells(the church of Thessalonica and us because ALL scripture is given to us for reproof and instruction 2 Tim. 3-16) there will be a falling away, from what?...and that iniquity doeth already work, why caution us? In God's Word with Love.

Luke Thompson on 2 Corinthians 12:9: "Gorgeous, as are all others. thank you dear loving LORD!!!!"

Amen, Precious brother Luke. Here is a little more of the "Gorgeous" All Others:

    God's GRACE In our infirmities

    (1) Read Romans 5:1-5, especially take note of verse 3, "we glory [rejoice] in tribulations." We are not instructed here to glory in spite of the trials of life we find ourselves in, but we are to rejoice because of them. That is to say we are to thank God for allowing times of suffering into our life. This passage of Scripture expressly states that The Lord uses the tribulations of life "to conform us to The Image Of His Son" ( Romans 8:29). To this end, He uses all things "to work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called According To His Purpose" ( Romans 8:28). As we grow mature in The Lord, our Savior is Glorified. As believers in Jesus Christ it is given us "in behalf of Christ, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His Sake" ( Philippians 1:29). (Borrowed from brother Ed Bedore) My study:

    (2) After Paul [our #"pattern"# for Today!] prayed 3 times for his affliction, the "Answer he Received," According To The Scriptures, Was:

"And HE [CHRIST] Said Unto me, MY GRACE Is Sufficient For thee: For MY Strength Is Made Perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory [cp] in my infirmities, that The Power Of CHRIST May Rest Upon me!" ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) cp ( 2 Corinthians 11:23-30)

    (3) Compare With GRACE Scriptures: ( Romans 5:1-5) ( Romans 8:18) ( Romans 8:26-29) ( 1 Corinthians 10:13) ( 2 Corinthians 1:3-4) ( 2 Corinthians 4:17) ( 2 Corinthians 12:9) ( Philippians 3:21)

    #"pattern"# = Paul = ( 1 Timothy 1:16) ( Philippians 4:9)

Precious friends, Please be Very Encouraged In The LORD JESUS CHRIST And His Word Of Truth!

Christian Greetings to all in this discussion!

In brief my few thoughts on water baptism.

Those that have died with Christ will also live on with him. We were baptized into His death and made alive in His new life. This new life begins in the flesh where blood and water mingled together making us free from sin and partakers of eternal life. His love towards us rewarded us with His peace and assurance by the Holy Ghost. It is an honor in the flesh towards Him to let Water start our new walk in Him here in earth. The Water is a witness to the renewal in His life. The Tabernacle's curtain gate was less than the average height of a man where those entering needed to stoop. Baptism by water is humility and humility is life everlasting and life everlasting is the Son who is the Word and our new body.

    Hello Hui Ning Wu,

I would like to offer another perspective to your comment: "And once you are saved, you cannot lose your salvation no matter what you do!"

I ask, is this true? If true, I would love to commit sins tonight just for fun, because no consequence. Would love to do drugs, have an affair, go to certain clubs to party, maybe even get in a fight, because if we're saved no matter what it wouldn't matter and God would still reward me?

So, is this true that it's from God and not from satan? Before I do that I would first need to find it in clearly scripture and no other scripture would contradict it. So, if I look through the Bible for evidence, I find the following:

1 Peter 1:13 "...hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"

This suggests grace won't be given until Jesus comes- maybe even after we're judged. But people are telling me I'm saved and have grace now, so which is true? Does anywhere else in the Bible say that?

1 Peter 1:5 - "...salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

Ok, I guess it does. So, we're not 'saved' yet, huh?

Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,"

James 2:14-26 "...faith, if it hath not works, is dead..."

James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

So, believing alone isn't enough? So, maybe faith and actions matter?

    Romans 11

John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

    Matthew 12:31-32

    Romans 14:12

1 Cor 9:24-27 "run the race", not the 'race was already won.'

But many people are telling me the race is already won and that I can party. So, who is right: God's Word or man's word?

    2 Peter 3:17

    Luke 8:5-18

    1 Timothy 4:1

    2 Peter 2:20-22

    Hebrews 3:12

    Galatians 5:4

    1 Corinthians 15:2-8

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 - this suggests 'trying' is good.

Evidence showing I should NOT commit sin. God bless...

Hi , you don't say which Timothy , first or second , so I took a guess you meant first . I will keep it very simple as I don't wish to influence you too much if you are a babe on the path to the Truth . I believe Paul is talking about Jesus . It's as simple as that . Many things in the Bible are very simple . I know so many people who haven't read it and think that you have to be some kind of scholar to do so . I try to tell them that's not the case . All you need to remember is that it is a whole book , all of it matters , all of it is helpful and it interprets itself . Keep reading , be patient , don't get discouraged because you don't understand everything . I'm still discovering new treasures in it and I've been reading it for twenty seven years , half of my life .

Precious friend, Meaningful Questions: "does that mean I don't have to be baptized?...I don't want to do something just because everyone else does." This is A Very Good Point!

Two things concerning "water baptized to be {or not to be} saved":

    (1) Prophecy/Law for ISRAEL: The Twelve Were Sent to water baptize!

The TWO Main, of 12 baptisms =

    A) water, For remission of sins/induction into Israeli "priesthood!" ( Matthew 3:5-6) ( Mark 1:4) ( Luke 3:3) ( John 1:31) ( Luke 7:29-30) ( Acts 10:37) ( Matthew 28:19) ( Mark 16:16) ( Acts 2:38) ( Acts 22:16) ( Ezekiel 36:25) ( John 18:35) ( Exodus 19:6) +

    B) WITH The Holy Spirit, Poured Out By CHRIST, for power, signs And wonders! ( Isaiah 44:3) ( Matthew 3:11) ( Mark 1:8) ( Mark 16:17-18) ( Luke 24:49) ( Acts 2:17-18) ( Acts 2:38) ( Acts 8:15-17) ( Acts 11:16) Prophecy/Law

Rightly Divided ( 2 Timothy 2:15) From Things That Differ!:

    (2) Mystery/GRACE! = our "apostle to the Gentiles" for The Body Of CHRIST: Paul Was Not Sent to {water} baptize! Why Not?:

Today: Only ONE Baptism = "BY" The ONE Spirit = God's OPERATION, Spiritually Identifying members In (The ONE Body Of) CHRIST!! ( Ephesians 4:5) ( Colossians 2:12) ( Galatians 3:27) ( Romans 6:3-4) ( 1 Corinthians 12:13)

    -------------------------------

Thus, This ONE Baptism Is Performed, By God, Today, Under God's GRACE/MYSTERY Program, when the believer "confesses Jesus as Lord and Savior and believes that He died and rose again, and God saves them" in the twinkling of an eye.

So, "water baptism" Is Scriptural, But Dispensationally, "was for the Previous Law/Prophecy Program" of God, For ISRAEL!

Conclusion, water baptism is Scriptural, but, TODAY, is UNdispensational! So, Meaningful Questions, we don't do it "Because Everyone Else is" {disobeying God, In Confusion?} Amen?

Please be Richly Encouraged, enlightened, exhorted, and edified!

Are there Prophets in the New Testament Church? As I understand we no longer need them. As a born again Christian you should go out and tell others anyway.

Hi , I always think that it's best to allow people to read and learn for themselves , especially for the first few times a person reads the Bible , I'm sure you are clever enough to get your head around everything if you are patient and persistent all will be revealed . I can only tell you what I believe , the "rest " I think is the one thousand year reign of Christ on earth when he returns . During this time , the resurrected saints , us , in other words , will be kings and priests and our job will be to serve God on earth , a bit like the Levites . This is the true Sabbath , we will be doing Gods will perfectly and not our own . I've put this as simply as I can without going into too much detail because I don't know where you are in your journey to the Truth . You can be sure that others on here will disagree with me and tell you what they think . May God bless your efforts .
