    Adam,

You just sent me two separate posts with a whole lot of question marks in there. Are you wanting me to respond or are you looking for me to send more that you can disagree with? I'm trying to be careful in my discussions with you because if you remember, about two years ago, we disagreed on something, and you were not open to discuss, I can't recall what it was, but someone reported me (I assume you), and I was asked to stay off this site for 72 hours. I am trying to avoid that because I enjoy the fellowship with others here, including you, even if we disagree on some things.

We all have our views and understanding of what God's word says. So, who's view is right, and who's is wrong? Are you the one to decide that?

My perspective is that it is not what I say that's truth, and it's not what you say that's truth. God's word alone is truth. Hopefully that's something we can both agree on.

I like to find common ground with other believers. I know we can't always agree on everything but there are things we can agree on, and there are thing I know for fact that you and I agree on. Do you even know what they are?

Adam, I'll be honest with you, and please do not take offense at what I'm about to say because I mean no ill will towards you. I know you love the Lord and so do I.

But what I have noticed over the past few years of reading your posts, and I do read them, but it seems that every time you come on here, it is to disagree with others, rebuke them, or insinuate that their belief or view comes from Satan.

Have you ever stopped to think before coming on here and telling others they are wrong that maybe your view or understanding could be off a little?

I really would love to respond to the questions you just sent my way but I think your mind is already made up that you're going to disagree no matter what my response might be so we'll leave it at that.

    Hi Rick.

Division between non believers is expected, That's what truth does,

Matthew 10:34-37.Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

But amongst the Brothern you're bonded together by Love, It's the spirit that causes this, "By this WE KNOW that he's in us and we in him, When one hates the Brothern, then the spirit is not in him, and if you have not the Spirit of Christ then you are none of his. There are people that claims to be Christian that absolutely "HATES" people who don't hold there views.

And that's because they're void of the spirit that produces this precious fruit.

1 John 4:20-21. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God ( LOVE HIS BROTHER ALSO.) "Do you notice it don't say "SHOULD" love his brother? No. It says Love his brother. this is equity! Not a command but a reaction CAUSED by the Spirit.

Perhaps by this "HATE" you can tell who's on the wrong side of the argument.

    God bless.

No stock exchange, no savings account , no health insurance . Wages go into a current or checking account because that's how we get paid here . Never ever had a loan . We have enough . We don't starve and we can pay our bills . I feel like a rich woman because I know the Truth . I have family members that are very rich , I have family members that are poor . I want for nothing and I'm happy , truly happy and the reason is because I KNOW the Truth . Christ is coming and I'm excited about that every day . This world is not my home , it doesn't belong to me and I don't belong to it . We are spirits in the material world . May God bless you all , may He provide for you as generously and mercifully as He does for me and may He make you His for ever .

What must I do to be saved biblically?
  • Adam - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hello, what is your definition of gambling? Taking a financial risk in hope for a more desirable outcome? Do you invest in the stock market? That's gambling. Keep cash in a low interest savings account? That's taking a gamble that inflation rates don't erode the value of the currency and that the bank doesn't go out of business. Do you have health insurance? That's gambling that it will cost you less having it than not having it. Run a business? Gambling that you'll earn more money than you spend. Lots of verses support financial responsibility, but nothing is without risk. Even doing nothing with money is a risk, because most lose value to inflation. I think gambling extends beyond money too to holding 'assets' or any kind of trading, because it's all subject to risk and an uncertain future outcome. Jesus's parable of the talents supports financial responsibility and being proactive despite risk. There are other verses supporting this too. Christian financial educators like Dave Ramsey feel they have lots of Biblical support for being financially responsible. God bless.

Martha Mt first point you won't like stop dealing with this emotionally, example when lee Iacoca was fired from Ford because the Grandson didn't like Him Chrysler hired him. It took lee 5 months to realize how bad a shape Chrysler was in and he called up his engineer friends at ford and got them to come over to Chrysler.

In order to Get Chrysler out of bankruptcy he had to layoff 5,000 employees and the engineers that worked for him asked him for a guarantee financially. He said to them when this thing takes off you buy stocks at cost, they trusted him and went to work for Him for next to nothing. Talk about trusting a man, also the first year with Chrysler lee made 1.00 when Chrysler got turned around lee said he would never do an undertaking like that again. If He would not have done what He did her proved that if chrysler goes under than the Entire auto industry goes under.

Chrysler was so broke when they had a meeting with the banks and government for the loan they ordered pizza's for delivery and the pizza company ask who was it for. They said chrysler the pizza company said that will be cash.

My point is trusting God is not based on emotion but principle, principle stands like a rock, emotions come and go. Let Gods word be the Rock In His Service

    S. Spencer The only thing that creates division in the body is unbelief if we all believed the same doctrine of what we believe there would not be any division. The apostle Paul fought that all the time. In the Book of Philippians like minded is mentioned a lot. In His Service

Hi Dr. Miller Just a few points number 1 Religion is corrupt, that's mans way of doing things in the name of God, Christianity is what God accomplished by Jesus Christ so He could have a Family. 2 Genesis they never ate an apple still don't know where that one came from. You appear to be angry so I gather the examples you have experienced of Christians hasn't been to pleasant. Been down that road never blamed God. By the way hanks for everything you do in your field. Dr. Miklery With all due respect Doc. Biblically when a person dies he's gone either until the gathering together or until judgement day in the book of revelation. If your thing is no energy is ever lost it just changes form than sir even still God Almighty is the only being who has the ability to work at that level. Don't give into the deception that man has that ability to alter molecular structure to that degree. In His Service

    Hi Brother Jesse.

I agree with you, Man can not clean himself with "HIS" righteousness. Our righteous works cannot commend us to God, And it can't restore us back to God when we stumble. The topic is basically talking about habitual sin. Here's a picture of a person so called removing sin from his life apart from being sealed with the spirit.

Matthew 12:43-45. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, "HE FINDETH IT EMPTY, SWEPT, AND GARNISHED." ( NO SPIRIT.)

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

It amazes me ho we look at habitual sin in a professed so called Christian, and some call say he lost his salvation. But they overlook the dislike and hate between what suppose to be brothern!

There's 3 topics that generate this division and thats

    1) The trinity.

    2) The rapture.

    3) Eternal security for the believer.

and if I might add one more.

Replacement theology. "The Church is the new Israel.

This lack of love for the brothern should be more alarming than any of these topics.

God bless you for standing true with meekness.

Christian Greetings English Sacha, Thank you! We are mostly well. Many prayers of healing were made for my son's burns to heal and they mostly have. He is able to work again and recreate a little. All along he has been able with a cheerful heart to encourage others some by song. Our faith has been increased in the Mercy of God in his Son!

Dry here, smoke is improving. I hope all is well with you spouse and family.

    Hebrews 6:9-12

But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we this speak.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

    Esther 6:9

And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the streets of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour.

    Esther 6:10a

Then the king said to Haman, Make haste...

WHY DO YOU.......gamble . When I was a child my grandad used to bet on the horses . He only ever bet pennies , literally pennies . Which also meant that if he ever won he only ever won pennies ! I asked him about it and he said he only gambled to make the race a bit more exciting for himself . I understand that . So , if you are a Christian and you only gamble for a bit of excitement does that mean that when you win you give all your winnings to a charity ? I know a few Christians who gamble , it's not really any of my business so I keep quiet . However , I can't help wondering why ? Proverbs ch30 v7-9 . I have to wonder if these Christians have read that . Or Luke ch12 v13-34 . Have they read that ? Phillipians ch4 v11 ? Hebrews Ch 13 v5 ? . I don't understand how any one can read the Bible and be in any doubt at all about what God and Jesus think of money and how They expect us to behave with regard to money . I used to love roulette . I would never do the lottery because I am genuinely afraid of what would happen to me if I won . What would I spend all that money on ? Necessaries ? Or luxuries ? Things I really need to exist ? Or stuff that I just want because I like it . Money changes lives . A local lottery winner here bought his teenage son a quad bike . This young man is in a coma because he crashed . His dad is distraught and feels responsible . Money changes your life and the way people behave towards you . If you are suffering a genuine need pray to God for help , ask your church or your family , get another job , cut back in some way , don't gamble . Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not unto thine own understanding . He will help you .

Stanley Adkins, it appears the two words have the same meaning. In the King James version there is "encouraged," while in the English Standard and NASB bibles the word there is "strengthened." David encouraging himself and strengthening himself most likely consisted of praying to God fervently and thinking on how God promised him he would be king, delivering him from Saul among many other things.
