I had a difficult salvation. A year before, I did a horoscope on 3 family members. My brother-in-law asked his entire church to pray and fast for me ONE DAY. It took a year, but the Lord stripped me of everything that represented Security to me. He rescued me. I saw 2 visions: one of Jesus's face; and one of Hell (which is more foul than anything you can envision). I was delivered

I woke up on the floor and everything in my house looked different. It was lighter, peaceful.

I had been born again and spirit filled also. The Holy Spirit Walked Out The New Birth with me. Acts 19:19 I cleaned my house of everything occult or offensive; later burned.

When I learned about the HOLY SPIRITI sorta freaked out. I just had spirits cast out of me!

I had to learn that He was good; from God. Six months later I was sitting on my sofa and I SAW the Tongues. I heard a couple of words. I spoke what I heard.

On Passover (I refuse to observe easter which=Astarte

The Church members were praying in the Spirit; so I did too. After service ended, the couple sitting next to me asked me if I knew what I was saying. I said no. The wife said "You were speaking Hebrew". I ate the Passover meal at their house. Everything I experienced was so special! And thanks to Jesus for coming after me.

Tongues are not for show off. Your mind is disconnected sorta. You are in the spirit, WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Keep speaking what you hear in your spirit. What you are doing is being strengthened in your spirit, that Jesus made alive when you were saved. It refreshes your inward man. Not the flesh.

It strengthens our trust in, and reliance on the Holy Spirit. I asked Him for comfort, peace, when I had none, deliverance from memories, and then I asked Him to Teach me the Bible that I was reading. That's when The Living Water rushed in and cleaned out my opinions and assumptions: and I saw Jesus in His Word. Your spirit wants to hear Jesus. Listen intently.

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if (THOU) be willing, remove this cup from (ME): nevertheless not MY will, but (THINE, be done.

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

I'm so glad that JESUS never acted a lie or tried to deceive, he said not MY will but the will of him that sent me.

My brother gambles with a friend for points only. They have fun. I like Yahtzee; it's just a game right? I like Fish Pond with my grandson too :D

I look in Proverbs for wisdom.

    PROVERBS 19:4

Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.

    PROVERBS 28:26

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

    JEREMIAH 17:11

As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

    Proverbs 6:15

Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

    Proverbs 8:10

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

    Proverbs 10:4

He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

    Proverbs 11:29

He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.

Eric, the sins of Babylon were many making them worthy to fall under God's Hand of punishment. You can check out the following:

Jeremiah 50:2 (sin of idolatry. Bel & Merodach were their chief idols. Bel = Baal, of the Canaanites & others).

Jeremiah 50:11 (sin of being destroyers, or plunderers of God's heritage, Israel).

Jeremiah 50:31,32 (sin of arrogance & pride).

Jeremiah 50:38 & 51:7 (sin of rampant idolatry & seducing the nations into such worship).

Jeremiah 51:51 (sin of defiling God's Temple).

  • Must be serious? - 4 years ago
With ALL due respect, We are talking about our souls spending an ETERNITY somewhere. I'm going to be serious. We as Christians are commissioned to spread the Gospel, the Good News, (or as Jesus put it in Matt. 28:19 commanded). I will be held accountable "to whom much is given, much is required...." ( Luke 12:48) I believe Jesus said it and I don't want to lead ANYONE astray. So I am going to find, study, search out, ask, PRAY, what the Bible says. Yeah, I'm serious. With much Love in Christ, God Bless. P.S. Matt. 28:19 says: "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost;(all prepositional phrases describing the name), there was only one name that the Spirit begottened, there was only one name that hung on the cross, there was only one name that resurrected, there was only one name that was going to be used to send the Comforter to us ( John 15:26), there was only one name that lived, died, rose again, and is coming back for His bride (the church), and that name was, is, and will always be: Jesus Christ. God Bless.

  • Romans 10 - 4 years ago
Romans 10 was written for those Jews who were still struggling "under the law". For there was a righteousness obtained thru the law but that law ended with Christ (vs. 4) Then the writer distinguishes our righteousness(which is as filthy rags Is. 64:6) and the righteousness that Christ gives you if you believe on him and that righteousness is faith(vs 6). Vs. 7-8 he asking do you(Jews first) believe in the authority of Jesus Christ to be able to rise from the grave. Vs. 9 is a continuation of the prior verses on believing the power of Christ it ends with:..."thou shalt be saved." it is a confession of the prior scriptures, not you ARE saved. Verses 10-13 are a reiteration of all the prior scriptures, ending with "made UNTO salvation, shall not be ashamed,(of who he is) all that call upon him, shall be saved yes that is true but that isn't all we need to do. Lets look at the REST of the chapter. Verses 14-16 talks about how can one call on Jesus unless they first believe,(TRUE) how can the believe unless they hear?(TRUE), how can they hear unless they are preached to?... and this is where it gets STICKY. What do I need to hear? and why would we need a preacher if all I need to do is Believe? Well the next few verses answers those questions(15-18) and right in the middle there(vs.16) he says an interesting thing: "but they have not all OBEYED the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath BELIEVED our report. Now he puts obedience and believing in the same verse....why? he answers that in vs.17 "so then faith cometh(keeps on coming) by hearing"....see we don't stop at just believing(I can believe all my life that I can cross the Grand Canyon standing in front of a bridge that will take me to the other side but if I don't take that first step UPON that bridge I will never get there) you see BELIEVING is the BEGINING, FAITH is EVERY step after that. "Faith without works is dead" James 2:20. I'm out of space PLEASE READ REST OF Chapter. God Bless.

Satan is real.. so are demons Can't have one without the other. Also do you know who made the king James version of the Bible? It was Constantine of the council of Nicaea On his deathbed he converted to Christianity. But it was a control move. Why these 66 books in the Bible? Why are the gnostic test texts left out? Like the Gospel of Thomas, or the book of Enoch or the book of Mary Orje even the book of Jesus Because in these books it tells you that God is in you not in the church or on a bench etc. etc. That doesn't sit well with people who are looking to make a lot of money Religion is the most wealthy business on the planet because of this. If they control you with it. some of it is very wonderful but he's very contradicting. In the motives behind who created it are also suspicious. So if you put a cookie jar out on your table or you told your children you could have anything in the house except those cookies What do you think they're gonna go straight for? The freaking cookies! If God didn't want to have the tree of knowledge of the Apple He shouldn't of freaking put it there. Secondly that's a harsh punishment to be banished from your home for taking a bite of an apple? Stupid. Earth is the garden we are it's keepers. People will believe anything I tell you.

Please pray for my alcoholic mother.

My mother married my father in 1978 and they were blessed with 3 boys and 3 girls,my brother the third born died aged 9.

My father acrimoniously divorced my mother in 1993 burning down the entire homestead. My mother later remarried in 1994,she was never treated right in her second marriage. She was still living in denial, later on she started falling into depression and eventually found solace in the bottle. She has been an alcoholic for record 26 years.

We have taken her to rehab twice to no avail.

It is affecting her health now she is 67 years old and also affecting us the immediate family.

Please remember my mother Anjelina in your daily prayers.

Actually they are now a judge ordered Ohio hospitals to treat any ventilated patient with this life-saving drug. If you have a cure or treatment therapy you cannot obtain emergency approval These shots are not approved even the one they said it's approved read the fine print they have to release data in 2023 2025 2026 for the phase 3 tryout to be complete and that's when it gets actually approved it's a data is beneficial. So if you have treatments and therapeutics that should help with this There goes big V! No more money for the NIH of the CDC and the big Pharma is sick gremlins.

As far as not believing any Christian can or has ever fallen away I don't know what to tell you. There's countless examples of it everywhere. Maybe that's great that you're blessed to have such strong Christians everywhere around you who never fall away. In my view this belief contradicts itself. Claiming something impossible that there's tons of evidence of just seems like such an usual position to take. If you believe you have freewill, then you're either believing Christians no longer have freewill, or you're believing they do but miraculously never stop being a Christian.

But some do stop being Christians. You said you don't want to view the forum ex-Christian. There are thousands of people there who have denounced the faith- it shouldn't be such a surprise that this has happened, as there's been many long-time pastors in the past who very publically have done this. One was a worship leader in an Australian mega church, for an example. Then claiming that after decades of Christian service that they were never Christian is another self-contradictory belief. That means people who accepted Christ, follow Christ, pray, serve, give, produce fruit, worship God, and eveything else aren't Christians? If so, then how do you know 100% you're a Christian? What is the exact criteria you have for a Christian or can you never be for sure? Do you not have freewill?

My belief is simple, if you do what the Bible says you're a Christian immediately. You start the journey, but it doesn't mean you're without freewill to sin and turn away and even blaspheme. If it was impossible to commit blasphemy then why did Jesus warn everyone about it?

Sin is tempting and can be temporarily very enjoyable. We're supposed to resist it with every ounce of our being. I think the idea of not using any human effort at all to avoid sin is misguided. To assume that there's no consequence to salvation if a Christian turns away from Jesus I don't believe is Biblical. Out of space- God bless...

I'll thank the Lord who have done everything for us. Some of the profets understand this, but they couldn't live in it. Praice the Lord, He have done great things. And we ppl today have heavenly experiences right now!

That day Jesus come too set everything in right place, all christian ppl will have a werry busy day. Becouse all the ppl who not let Jesus in too they're life. Will do anything to come too Him that moment. In the werry last moment. Ill think it will be a lot of pray that day. Not evan that for sure. We will stand in front of Him who have done all things in all Heaven's, on earth, and under earth. And am so naive that ill think i will manage too stand on my too feet! But the Holy Scripture said that every one will fall on they're knees. God bless you all here in the web site, who have a service soo big that we cant take it inwards us. Jesus Is.

Hi Jesse, thank you for your detailed response. You logically laid out your belief and thought process behind it. I have a different view of course.

Regarding what you call a "Bema seat". Many Christians don't call it that. Since the word isn't in the Bible, I prefer using the terminology the Bible already uses: Judgment. And I believe there's only 1 Judgment for all just like the verse says. I think the interpretation of the 2 different judgments is based on a misunderstanding of scripture and believe it is simple describing the same event in different ways. Revelation is a symbolic book with much of it based on an amazing vision and described in limited human terms. The evidence of the judgment being for all, is it says the book of life was there and open. If the whole judgment was to send everyone to hell, then why would the book of life be there and specifically mentioned and why would there even be a judgment if its already known that everyone there is going to hell anyway, unless you believe levels of punishment in hell. That would sure be a depressing line to be in.

Matthew 7:21 - people who said they knew the Lord and expected to get into heaven will not get into heaven. To me this means some Christians will not make it. They will believe they are Christ-followers, but Christ does not know them.

Matthew 10:28 - Jesus says to his 12 disciples, "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Why would Christians (literal Christ followers) be told by Jesus to fear God and judgment if it wasn't true? Do you think Jesus meant to say 'And you are already saved no matter what, so just do whatever, because to do anything is 'human effort' and is bad, and to do nothing is good.' No, Jesus didn't say that. Huge difference.

The Bible says faith without works is dead. And Jesus said if you love me then obey His commandments.

    Rick,

I appreciate what you are sharing. It's not very deep but yet it gives me something to dwell on for a bit. Like I said earlier, I often use the words soul and spirit interchangeably, not even thinking about it. Hopefully, I don't cause anyone confusion as it's not my intent. I have learned and understood that we were body, soul, and spirit, even before receiving Christ, and that upon receiving Christ, His Spirit (Holy Spirit) comes in and seals our spirit. If that's not the case, I would need to study it out in order to change my mind. In other word, I'm still "on the fence" with this one, not in disagreement with what you're saying! My mind can be changed. And I enjoy the humor, even if it is B.S. I myself like to believe I have a good sense of humor but we live in a day and age now where we have to fear offending someone with our humor. Must we as believers always have to be so serious?
  • The sinners prayer - 4 years ago
Where is the "sinners prayer" found? How do I know(or anyone else) when I'm born again of God's Spirit? Legit questions, I want to know. If salvation (from Hell) is not a "reward" than what is it? I don't think anyone is "saved or sealed" and do anything you want to, there are to many examples in God's word. Just ask Satan, he was there(heaven) and was cast out! because of pride, and making himself liken unto God, there is only one Person who can Promise all things and Guarantee ALL things and that is God. The Word tells us to be faithful, to watch, to do, to sow, to reap, ect., but is not until we stand before Him (in heaven) when He says: "well DONE my faithful servant" We are promised the Holy Ghost (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) but there is a stipulation that comes with it, we have to live an overcoming life, "walk in that spirit", "do mind the things of the spirit", "submit yourselves to a Higher Power", "die daily", "there is a war in our members", these are quotes found in scripture all thru the New Test. from a man who thought he was doing the right thing(and was as far as the Jewish law was concerned) but had an CONVERSION but still wrote those words. What makes me any different? I want to know. In Christ. With Love.

    Adam,

    (Part 3)

You say, "Some denounce the faith late in life and some come to faith late in life," but I say those who denounce the faith were never of the faith to begin with. That's given to us in 1 John 2:19. A person who belongs to the Lord is a person who endures to the end. It is Christ in us that brings us to the end. He is the author and finisher of the faith. He designs it, and He brings it to its completion.

You say "The Bible supports having an assurance of salvation, and hope of eternal life for genuine Christ followers, but it doesn't say you have a guaranteed entry pass into heaven regardless of your actions." I agree.

I'm glad you bring up "hope" of eternal life. Jesus Christ is our hope. The word hope in the Greek text literally means expectancy. It doesn't mean I hope to have eternal life with Christ in heaven. I expect to have it.

Yes, Paul says to run the race. Every believer is to run the race that's set before them. In the end, we will be rewarded. As for the armor of God, Christ is my armor. When I received Christ, I put on Christ. He is the armor and that armor never comes off. Might I dare say that I do not strive to live a Godly life? That would take human effort which the Lord will not bless. I live a Godly life because it is Christ in me that persuades me to live a Godly life. It has nothing to do with me! It is all of Him. If it is me striving to live a Godly life, then I should have something to boast of. I have nothing to boast of but Christ who lives in me.

I have confidence that I will spend eternity with Christ. And I disagree that that is Satan's deception. My confidence is in Christ Jesus. He is my hope, my expectancy. When I stand before God someday, I'm going to know that I don't deserve to be there. And I know that I will not enter in based on my human performance. I enter in, not because God sees any good in me. I enter in because He will see His Son in me. That's how I enter in!
