Indeed brother Philip, their ungodliness knew no bounds. Even if their many sins as you listed were sufficient for immediate condemnation, their "turning the Grace of God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ" (verse 4), seems to be the hook on which that list hangs.

I think of the condemnation by our Lord in Revelation 2:6,14,15 of the Nicolaitans, from whom these "ungodly men" may well have arisen or at least from under their tutorship. As these men (in Jude), so also were the Nicolaitans, who made mockery of the Grace of God revealed in His Gospel. Believing that marriage was not binding on Christians as it was a human invention, this gave rise to all manner of unnatural unrestrained sexual behaviour. And with the Love & Mercy of God to all men being the foundation of the Gospel, they, without fear of punishment for their sins, literally turned & perverted God's Grace into lasciviousness. And with swelling convincing words, many were led astray, fulfilling fleshly desires & becoming ensnared by Satan. Having done despite to God's Grace, the Holy Character of the Lord God & His Son were so marred & distorted, that it could be well said of them, that they 'denied the Lord & His Christ'. And don't these words allude to the Gnostic teaching at that time, which refuted the belief that deity could unite with flesh? These men spoken of in Jude came in many disguises to believers everywhere, even today, tools of Satan, to weaken & destroy the Body of Christ & the yet the sure promise from Matthew 16:18, is that even "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it".

Thank you for those thoughts brother, on this passage.

I just read from your Bible on line the book of Exodus 20:4-11 The Bible says to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy! Why are you people not being obedient to God! He said if you love me keep my commandments!! God said the Sabbath is "my holy day". He did not say that the Sabbath is for Jews but for mankind! No where in the Bible does God mentioned that He changed the Sabbath to Sunday! God said he that worship me must worship me in Spirit and truth!

One of the 10 commandments is "Thou shalt not Kill", dead people cannot ask forgiveness. There is people on this site that will try to go behind the Word of God and change it to fit their beliefs, but Gods Word will not change for me or anyone else. I will never understand why it is so hard for people to just take God and Jesus at their Word and believe it, instead of trying to add or take away! Man's opinions does not matter, we are begotten by the Word of God. This is to Faith's comment about suicide.

Hi Dasdf ,I have asked God to help me many times in my life . Sometimes He has made me wait a long time before He has shown me the answer . This has taught me to be patient . God has taught me to be patient . I believe that God helps us to become better Christians by teaching us and showing us things in this life . God does these things at His own pace and in His own ways . We must learn to listen for Him . Attune your ears , your mind and most importantly your heart to hear what He is telling you . Most of all you need to be patient , He is our Teacher , He will bring you closer to Him if you wait for Him . Being closer to God is more important than anything you can do in this life . Some Christians lead very ordinary boring lives . We can't all get the exciting jobs , plenty of us are behind the scenes just keeping things running , our families our friends and neighbours can all see us so we must try to show them Gods love , in our lives and in theirs too , just try to be the best Christian you can be , that's all that is required .

  • English sacha - In Reply - 4 years ago
Dear Carleton , that's so good to hear .During ww2 some members of my congregation went to prison because they would not fight , though many others found ways to help without having to be violent or have anything to do with violence . My congregation isn't strictly pacifist , if God told us to fight we absolutely would . We can't just pick and choose which of Christ's teachings we want to adhere to , I know I fail daily but I keep trying and Jesus is very clear about any kind of violence , thankfully we know that because of what Jesus accomplished God will forgive us our tresspasses . Think that might be too many sssss ! Much love in Christ to you and all yours .

Lord, You are the Courageous One! And so right now, as I wait upon You, as I face fear and intimidation, I trust that You will keep your promise. I pray for complete healing. I trust that You will give me the strength and courage I need to face this circumstance, and I trust that victory is on the other side. I ask You to lead, guide, strengthen, protect, bless, favor and give me favor with man and God, give me more power and anointing and marriage with my Boaz in Jesus Name. I boldly declare that I will not let fear or intimidation stop me from being obedient. Help me to endure, Lord. Give me grace. You're a good Father, and You are faithful. I trust You!

When Jesus said when he comes will he find faith ?

Or was it someone else that said it ?

What did he mean ; will he find faith when he comes ?

Something to do with being ready when he comes perhaps ?

If your state recognizes "Common Law Marriage", you may have to file for legal separation.

If you are ready to do that, there is no scripture forbidding it. You can read the story in the Gospels of Jesus speaking to the Samaritan woman at the Well. John Chapter 4

You need to get your life straight with God. If you are going to stay with this man, then be married in the sight of God. Our lives need to be acceptable to God, and pleasing.

Narcissism is a mental illness. He's not going to change. He needs counseling. Becoming a Christian is his only hope. There's a Link for that out on the Red Page where you entered this room. You should go there to pray and seek the Lords leading for you.

This is my best advise. I do not know what is in your heart. But, God does. Talk to Him.

    5. Just as God gives you the opportunity to communicate with him for help, comfort or counsel, he also allows you to pray to know if your dreams are answering your prayers. Asking him if that special, memorable dream that you had is part of the message that he has for you, is without doubt the most effective way to know if God is trying to tell you something.

    Habakkuk 2:2

And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables [paper] that he may run that readeth it.

Lastly, if you desire to walk closer to God, it's like Adam in the Garden. Spend time with the Lord through His Word, the Bible. Pray every day. Just speak your heart.

Warning: If a voice causes fear in you; that is not Gods voice. Fear, is the enemy.
  • PART ONE OF TWO dreams - In Reply on Revelation 13 - 4 years ago
Prayer helps us to convey to God all the positive, negative and challenging situations and feelings that arise in our lives. In fact, it's through prayer that we can thank him and ask him for help or solutions to difficult problems.

However, identifying God's guidance, help or comfort is more difficult than just bowing our heads and praying. This is partly because God uses many different means to contact us - he may reach us through another person, a scripture. He always confirms His Word.

    1. Even if you don't think your repeating dreams are important, they often leave lingering feelings in your heart. Don't ignore these feelings. Instead, analyze them. Write down those feelings and descriptions of the dreams in a journal. After some time, search through your journal and see if you can find a common phrase, person or image that give you an answer to a recent (or maybe a future) prayer.

    2. Remember: with God, there are no coincidences. Don't hesitate to record dreams and analyze them for spiritual messages. The world is full of symbols. There are many that you probably don't recognize, but if you look carefully, they have always been there. God often uses symbolism to give you the answers you seek. That's why you need to write down even the most insignificant part of your dreams, because the one part could be the key to unlocking what the dream means and what God is trying to tell you.

    3. On more than one occasion, your dreams can reveal some important messages that, due to lack of attention or disbelief, you don't notice. It may be that given the simplicity or clarity of the message, it's considered unimportant.

    4. However, you should never underestimate that advice since God might have been using your dream as a way to answer a question you asked. While it's true that not all dreams are a solution or response to your challenges, many of them can be a source of comfort and/or strength during a difficult time in your life.

Hi Mark A. Hester When it comes to things of God be it dreams, information, prophecies, any spiritual manifestations people talk about I.E. the spirit. First does it Glorify the True God Second does line up with scripture. Third is it all profitable. Fourth no confusion in it. Fifth is everything in order. Also God doesn't give info just to waste time he expects whatevers given to be carried out, the other side of that coin is he doesn't give it to people he knows won't carry it out. Also remember the bible is written revelation. A woman told me one time God told her to go 50 miles per hour in a 25 speed zone and she Got stopped for speeding. I said to Her why would God tell you to break the laws of the land and why would he let you get a speeding ticket and she was late for her meeting anyway. What's worse the officer ask her why she was speeding and she told him God told her too. You got to wonder what the officer thought. Prayerfully this helps. In His Service

Dasdf Maybe your asking the wrong question, the question is not how do I know where I need to be it's Father what do you want me to do next, keep something in mind believing God always requires action. If someones praying to get a job but they don't take the necessary steps to acquire what there believing for it will not happen. In the Book of Acts its called Acts because they moved they carried out in action what they were given to do. Don't forget God can make known to you that you will understand he works on an indiviual basis always according to His Word. Prayerfully this Helps In His Service

Christian Greetings English Sacha, Of interests perhaps. Recently the Selective Service had a meeting with certain leaders within of our Church to help prove whether we are a Peace Church still wanting no part in war activities or a Pacifist Church that wants to refrain from war activities but does not mind political activism. They were interested in what programs our conscription age members do on going as an alternative service for the benefit within US communities as a Peace witness. It is interesting and a blessing that a certain part of this US Government wants to make sure that there is a place for true Peace Churches to practice within this land their beliefs. Surely this is God inspired and we are thankful!

We as a Peace Church believe that non- resistance is a teaching of Christ Jesus that we should follow.
  • Adam - In Reply on Isaiah 55 - 4 years ago
My answer is 'maybe'. For sure someone will go to hell if they have rejected Jesus. And if a Jesus-follower commits suicide it's like slapping Jesus in the face and spitting on Him. He died for you and you're saying you don't care. He gave you the gift of life and you're saying you don't care and you assume you know better than Jesus. Some want to numb their pain and escape. If that is the reason for wanting to end things there are so many better alternatives. People in a valley are often blinded to how many opportunities and possibilities there are in life. Things can change and change quickly. It starts with your own thinking and your own habits. If you change you, you can change your perception of reality. God gave you a gift and we're not supposed to bury it but use it to glorify God and serve others. God bless.

Psalms 105:15 | View whole chapter

Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

One time a prophet wouldn't speak, and God made a donkey speak it out.

This seems fairly non-debatable. When God corrects a prophet; He does it Himself.
  • SUICIDE THOUGHTS - In Reply on Isaiah 55 - 4 years ago
If you're not Christian, you will go to hell. There is no escape.

What you do as a Christian can cut off any plans the Lord had purposed for your life.

    Psalms 39:4

LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.

    JEREMIAH 29:11-13

For I know the thoughts that I think TOWARD YOU, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an EXPECTED end.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will HEARKEN unto you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

Almost every trauma in our life, is temporary. If you will draw close to God again, ask Him to dim the memories that hurt so much. I did that, expecting nothing, but God did that for me. The pain is gone. Be brave and ask Him to dim what hurts.

If we commit suicide as Christians we stop the thoughts God had planned for us. Don't take your life. Give it to Jesus. Allow Him to give you a new purpose.

If you are bitterly lonely, get involved in life again. I find nursing homes a wonderful place to bring my joy to. I sit and read happy Psalms to people. After a few weeks, I ask them if they want to go with Jesus to their heavenly home. Some say yes. Some are already saved, but we pray for the Lords comfort. The Holy Spirit comes to do his work on their lives.

You go home feeling a little tired, but very blessed. Sometimes I buy greeting cards they can put by their bed.

God will heal your memories, but first you have to give them to Him. Forever.

    Mishael
  • Mark A. Hester on Revelation 13 - 4 years ago
I have a question. I wanted to know what the Bible says about dreams and the connection dreams can have with prophecy and future events. The reason I'm asking is because a few years back I woke out of my dreams and wrote down some things I know that only God could have known about me and my future. I believe for a fact that what I wrote down is solid evidence of an all knowing God. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Sincerely, Mark H
