Jesse The Church of God in the Church epistles is the body of Christ which started day of pentecost in Ephesians 3:4-6 verse 6 That the Gentiles should be Fellow heirs of the same body. In the 4 Gospels all the context of when the bridegroom is mentioned the context is the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

In the Gospel of John 3:26-30 in that context Jesus Christ is called by John the Baptist the bride groom Israel that rejected him was the bride. That's my understanding.

Gerald Your scripture reference was given long before the deity of Christ was questioned and the context of what Paul wrote was explaining who he received the gospel from they were not believing what he was saying. He taught them the Gospel and in Galatians 3:1 Who hath hindered you that you should not obey the truth. That's the context.

I agree with you about the FIRST abomination in the temple (all physical).

I BELIEVE, the SECOND time will be in the SPIRITUAL TEMPLE (within us).

The daily sacrifice was taken away (at the same time) and the abomination that maketh desolate (sinful flesh is enmity to Spirit) set up (at the SAME TIME); at Christ death and resurrection.

The final moments of Jesus Christ on the Cross is where for a moment in earth's time God the Father separated His Spirit from God the Son. For a space of time, Jesus Christ the Man, with all of the sin of the world past and present upon him was alone and forsook.

God the Son trusted in God the Father's Mercy and it was good.

That's a lot of smoke but where is the fire ?

I don't really understand why you're belaboring the definition of "ungodly", as if it's meaning wasn't patently clear from the very basic and fundamental prefix, suffix and root word that comprise the word -- i.e. "un", "God", and "ly".

And that litany of attributes you unilaterally ascribe to it without explanation doesn't have anything to do with the manner is which that word is clearly utilized within Jude, which is focused exclusively on gross sexual immorality. You invoke a litany of passages from other sections of the Bible, implying direct correlation to the subject of Jude, without remotely establishing that. You basically convey no understanding of this tiny book at all. Did you know that it directly mirrors 2 Peter Chapter 2, which is almost always discussed together it?

At any rate both passages describe teachers or other people of prominence in the Church, who are secretly engaged in gross sexual immorality without anyone knowing about it (according to "Peter" and "Jude"). They're describing people clearly integrated into the life of the church, but unbeknownst to everyone are sexual deviants, and it's implied they're going to lose their salvation for it. And whoever wrote 2 Peter just bends over backwards throughout the book to say, "I really am the Apostle Peter, and I'm fixing to be martyred and this is my last word to the Church." And then you have someone claiming to be the brother of Christ (Jude) that comes along and says nearly the exact same thing as "Peter".

Amen. Our dear Jesus did not die for our illnesses as this body is temporal. He died for our sins and sinful nature to redeem us for His sake so that God the Father would find us acceptable to enter His kingdom. Repentance is our part for salvation to begin.

Chris , Christ likens himself to the brassen serpent in the wilderness , I'm going to assume that you know all about this . What happened to that brassen serpent ? I'm going to assume that you know that one of the good kings of Israel destroyed it . He destroyed this brassen serpent on a wooden stick , the same one that Jesus likens himself to , because....people were worshipping it . To me it doesn't get much clearer than that . My beliefs are based on the words that are written in the whole Bible , it's all there for us . Respectfully in Christ . This isn't a debate able subject for me ,I'm sure it isn't for you either .

Please pray for protection against Covid for my husband, brothers and mother. Also my loving family dog is old now and having health issues. I've fallen and gotten hurt as well as an eye issue. My health has went terribly wrong within a month. I trust our loving God. I know everyone's prayers are heard and matter. We also have a lot of doctor bills coming in, and praying our finances will get better for us. I pray for the resources to help others as well.
