Just 1 verse that Jesus said he is God please .

We must confess Jesus , so why would not he confess that he is God if he is God .

    Jesus never lies .

    God never lies .

God hundreds of times openly said I Am GOD .

Go and prove Jesus said I AM God . It does not exist in the Bible .

What does exist Jesus saying that he is the Son of God , and that God sent him and he came from God .

But he never said I AM God ! Why ? It would have been a lie .

The Jews killed Jesus for saying he was the Son of God , not saying He was God , did you read that ? You should . I hope this helps true seekers .

un-GODly men; Jude v.4 = The adjective "un-GODly" describes a person who has no reverential respect, nor any honorable consideration for GOD, or anything pertaining to GOD. Thus, they reject any thought or form of worshiping HIM because "they did not like to retain {possessing and putting intelligence and wisdom into practical use} GOD in their knowledge" ( Rom. 1:28).

As a point of antonymous (the opposite of synonymous) reference, the term un-GODliness describes the polar opposite contrast to GODliness. Un-GODliness is anything and everything in man that contradicts GOD, HIS ESSENCE, HIS PERSON, HIS Character, HIS Attributes, HIS Will, and HIS Purposes. Un-GODliness is the rejection of, and unbelief in, GOD, HIS CHRIST, and HIS Gospel.

The un-GODly are not atheists by default or through any actual non-belief in GOD's real existence, for they are "men, who hold the Truth in unrighteousness" ( Rom. 1:18). They actually know about GOD, but choose to reject HIM, for "they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge" ( Rom. 1:28). Moreover, the hatred the un-GODly seethe toward GOD prompts them to "despise the Riches of HIS Goodness and Forbearance" ( Rom. 2:4) because of their "hardness and impenitent heart" ( Rom. 2:5).

Their hatred, hardness, and rejection of GOD turns them into "The fool [who] hath said in his heart, There is no GOD" ( Ps. 14:1; cp. Ps. 36:1; 53:1). Notice, the expression, "There is ", is in italics for it was added by the translators. What the fool literally says is this: "There is no God for me. I will worship and serve no god or deity." In essence, even though they "know the Judgement of GOD" ( Rom. 1:32), this mental knowledge poses "no fear of GOD before their eyes" ( Rom. 3:18; cp. Eph. 4:19; 1Tim. 4:2).

    Hi.

Isaiah 53:5. But he was wounded for our ' TRANSGRESSIONS,) he was bruised for our INIQUITIES: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

We are healed from our TRANSGRESSIONS and INIQUITIES.

Typo on the word Son not som .

I'd like to know where in the Bible it says we need to believe that Jesus is God ?

We do need to believe that Jesus is the Christ . The Christ is sent by God , known as the Son of God .

I believe that the trinity doctrine is Roman Catholicism.

So even people that do not claim to be Roman Catholic actually are in their confession of their deities . 3 not the 1 of the Bible .

Thomas recognized that God was in Jesus and raised him up .

He went from total believer from unbeliever . You only assume Jesus never corrected him . You know what assuming does ?

I know and believe that Jesus was raised up by the power of God in Jesus , the same power that will raise all believers up in the first resurrection, does that mean we are God ? No but the power of God is with us to do so . At that time .

Everyone that believes Jesus is the Som of God and confessed him , God dwells in them . Does that make them God ? Of course not . Born of God yes .

A few important things to know since the Bible is suppose to have all the answers .

Where does it say we need to believe in the deity of Jesus ?

    Scripture verse please .

How does nature reveal that God is three and not one as the Old Testament states ?

Thanks for your simple clarification in advance .

    Hi Rick.

I hold the view that this is a future event,

Mid way through the tribulation period.

    Here's a Googled Discriptural outline.

Abomination of desolation"[Notes 1] is a phrase from the Book of Daniel describing the pagan sacrifices with which the 2nd century BCE Greek king Antiochus IV replaced the twice-daily offering in the Jewish temple, or alternatively the altar on which such offerings were made.[1] In the 1st century CE it was taken up by the authors of the gospels in the context of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in the year 70,[2] with Mark giving Jesus a speech concerning the Second Coming,[3] Matthew 24:15-16 adding a reference to Daniel,[4] and Luke Luke 21:20-21 giving a description of the Roman armies ("But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies"); in all three it is likely that the authors had in mind a future eschatological (i.e., end-time) event, and the activities of the anti-Christ.

    ( Mid week tribulation. )

Daniel 9:27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This will be "LIKE" what happened by Greek king Antiochus IV. in 2nd century BCE.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

Chris In the first two scripture mentioned water is not mentioned in Acts !: 5 For John truly baptised with water but ye shall saying separating the two in other words yes that is what John did but this is what will happen to you be baptised with Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. That statement is setting a contrast from past to future, also water baptism was done under the law administration. The doctine to be born again is laid out in Romans 10:9-11. In Acts 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord how that he said John indeed baptised with water but in contrast but ye shall be baptised with Holy Ghost. Water baptism was administered under the law, after DAY OF PENTECOST grace administration its baptism by Holy spirit. There is a one time event in Acts 8 with Phillip and the man from Ethiopia where he took him down to water to be baptised but that was not the norm. At that the born again believers had the gift of holy spirit but the full knowledge of what they had was given to the apostle paul. That's why they were still practicing the law, even after the Church epistles were given the body of Christ was still many times caught up in legalistic behavior, this is expressed all through the church epistles. There is no where in the Church epistles where water baptism is required. Thats my understanding

Hi Darold , I've heard many great exhortations on this subject , I can only tell you what I believe . Here goes : to me our cross is a burden , the greatest burden I have , the thing that stops me from being the Christian that I want to be is.....me . My existence in this sinfull flesh . My sinfull self in this life of flesh is my biggest burden . I have to eat drink sleep , I have numerous health problems that make daily life for me painful and exhausting , so I can't read the Bible as much as I wish , I can't do the good things that I should be doing , then there is my own desires or lusts if you prefer . I get tangled up in other people's emotions , people that I care about , I worry about them , I say and do things that I shouldn't really but I justify myself in a million sinfull excuses . I am my own burden . My sinfull flesh . This is Christ victory . This is the brassen serpent in the wilderness , this is the serpent in the garden of Eden . This is Christ's enormous and fantastic and awesome and beautiful gift . Greater love hath no man than that . He did it all for us . He did it out of love . Love for us and for his Father and ours , the Holy One of Israel .

Wow! I concur Chris that was (is) an impressive list and you are right to think along the lines of our salvation or belief in the gospel of Christ being impacted by our belief or revelations we have pertaining to the diety of God I believe there is a scripture that says: "if we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto than that we have preached unto to you, let him be accursed." Gal.1:8..something to think about. In Christ Gerald.

What a great list of very relevant Scripture showing the full Deity of our Lord Jesus. I was greatly enriched indeed GRACE_ambassador. I was looking for possibly a reference ( John 20:28) in your list, but may have missed it. We can note how Jesus never rebuked Thomas for exclaiming, "My Lord and my God". Rather, Thomas' faithlessness was addressed & now he believed & rejoiced in seeing his Master & his God. And how blessed are those who haven't been witnesses of those crucifixion wounds on the Lord, & still have faith to believe & call upon Him.

As I went out for my evening walk today, my mind & spirit was deeply impressed with a situation where a believer denies the deity of Christ & the impact that has on his salvation. And then coming to your three page response, I saw your question I had entertained a hour earlier, i.e. "If we Deny HIS Deity, how can HE FORGIVE us our sins?" I'm still working through that because of the gravity of its implications. Doesn't our salvation hinge on the fact that God laid down His Life for us? That the salvation He brought to us was "once for all" ( Hebrews 10:4-12)? Thank you for those great Scriptures giving irrefutable evidence of the Deity of Christ.

Yes David , I'm with you on that . I think that if God speaks to us on an individual level , we will surely be in no doubt about it . When , or rather if , we have read the Old Testament , we can read of the accounts of this happening and also in Revelation . None of these privileged people were left in any doubt .

  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Hello Dave. In my understanding, Acts 2:38 & Acts 9:18 refers to water baptism & not Spirit baptism ( Ephesians 4:5). Repentance & water baptism went hand-in-hand in those early days, unlike what we generally see today.

Yours was a very fine response, brother Jesse, sharing what happens at death for the believer, as well as the assurance of his eternal security while on Earth - that security that comes from the Holy Spirit sealing & not from anything that we could ever do. Thank you for taking the time in your busy schedule to share these joyful & comforting Truths to us all.

Jesse, No you didn't leave it out I got that part, what I'm asking is if I become faithless or "backslide"(a Biblical term)? Why the parable of the lost coin? or the 10 virgins with oil or (oil that had run out)?
