Precious friend, Naresh. You do realize reading and studying are two different things? I would suggest "reading" to be 3-5 (or more, IF you wish...) chapters a day and that will take about a year to "read" the Whole Bible (KJV). This is good so that you can "...live By EVERY Word That Proceedeth Out Of The Mouth Of God." ( Deuteronomy 8:3) ( Matthew 4:4) ( Luke 4:4)

For life-long "studying" I recommend starting With: "What God Is Doing Today, Under GRACE, And Specifically WHO HE IS, And HIS Salvation For us," found in Romans Through Philemon, KJV, prayerfully And Carefully, and study According To The Following Bible "study" Rules: ( 1 Corinthians 14:40) ( 2 Timothy 2:15) ( Deuteronomy 4:2) ( Deuteronomy 12:32) ( Proverbs 30:5-6) ( Revelation 22:18-19 KJB!) ( Acts 17:11) ( Isaiah 28:10) ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17) ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17) ( 1 Corinthians 2:13)

The Best "Interpretive" Commentary On The Bible Is The BIBLE Itself!:

NEVER ever interpret The Many Plain Scriptures by the "few" difficult verses, But, ALWAYS Always Interpret the few Obscure/Difficult/Dubious verses By ALL Of The MANY Plain and Clear Passages Of God's Pure And Holy Word!

    Finally:

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do ALL to The Glory Of God!" ( 1 Corinthians 10:31)

Naresh, hope this helps on your reading/studying journey, and saves you from a lot of Confusion of the enemy...

Hi Ron This is my understanding scripturally of what you were sharing Genesis 1 God Created man in His own Image In the Gospel of John 4:24 Jesus Christ said God Is Spirit a spirit has no form it is Spirit Gen. 2:7 lord formed man dust of the ground and breathed into His nostrils breath of life and man became a living soul, soul life is breath life. In Genesis man did not die physically but he lost his spiritual connection with God because he disobeyed. When Jesus Christ paid the price for mans redemption it became available Day oif Pentecost to receive the spiritual connection that was lost Holy Spirit or Pneuma Hagion we received that which was lost in Genesis. When we fall asleep in Christ the spirit goes back to where it came from you take your last breath soul life and your body goes to dust of the ground. Now in the old testament many times to communicate to men God had to make himself known in the five senses to communicate at first Moses burning bush, staff that turned to a snake attention getters, they had Gods spirit upon them but not in them, that's why David in psalms said to God take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Remember Jesus Christ said those who have seen me have seen the father five senses the Disciples didn't get it tell after Pentecost. I realize there are other ideas on this, scripturally this is my understanding. All other inputs gladly accepted.

Precious friend, Adam, said: "I think the phrase absent from body, present with the Lord is a good example of that [telephone game]. Because if you actually read the verse, Paul did not say what people assume he said."

Of course, The Scriptures Actually Say:

"We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, AND to be present With The LORD." ( 2 Corinthians 5:8). Who wouldn't WITH "Paul's CONFIDENCE, "RATHER Be WITH CHRIST"?

Is there really "soul sleep, UNconsciousness," or, as some extremists think, "annihilation" ["ssua"] when "we are absent from the body."? We Must prayerfully "compare spiritual With spiritual, With The Blessed Holy Spirit As TEACHER" ( 1 Corinthians 2:13), for the Full Picture = "What SAITH All The Scriptures" in this doctrine?:

(1a) In heaven, John says: "I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for The Word Of God" ( Revelation 6:9)

(1b) "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O LORD, Holy and True, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?" ( Revelation 6:10) = NO "ssua" here, Correct?

    (2) So, what about the "members of the Body Of CHRIST, Today, who depart from the body, in death"? Why are they not "With CHRIST, In Heaven," as Paul states?:

    a) "For to me to live is Christ, and to die IS GAIN." ( Philippians 1:21)

    b) "For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and TO BE WITH CHRIST; which is FAR BETTER:" ( Philippians 1:23)

    c) who Exactly, does "[CHRIST] God Bring WITH HIM" At our Great GRACE Departure?:

"For if we believe that JESUS died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in JESUS Will God BRING With HIM." ( 1 Thessalonians 4:14)

Only One Conclusion: we depart, in death, ie: "absent from the body, AND [IMMEDIATELY Are] present With The LORD JESUS CHRIST," Correct, Adam? Thus:

"[CHRIST] WHO Died for us, That, Whether we wake OR sleep, we should LIVE TOGETHER WITH HIM!" ( 1 Thessalonians 5:10)

Please be Richly Encouraged And Edified!!

My opinion and believe that during that period of time, the earth was corrupted by the sons of God, the fallen angels, Satan's followers, who left their habitation and came to earth. This was Satan's desperate act to taint Et Ha Adams generation, the godly remnant through which Christ would come from. The children born to the fallen angels are called Nephilim, in other words giants. Enoch, Noah's great-great grandfather, lived during the time of the fallen angels trying to attack God's godly people; he preached about them and then prophesized about their destruction. Noah was living the prophecy of his great-great grandfather Enoch. God emphasized the wickedness that was going on that displeased him and He repented with what he had created. But as it is said, God was pleased with Noah because Noah and his family had a perfect generation, meaning he did not mingle with the fallen angels and he obeyed and worshiped God and so did his family. Many fail to understand that God tells us that "Satan's seeds" are on earth with us from the time in the Garden till today. In the garden the serpent (another name for Satan) beguiled Eve and what did God say to the serpent (Gen3:15), ( Gen 3:16) As you read on, Gen 4:1,2 .. both Cain and Abel were of the same age, they brought God offering at the same time...this makes them Fraternal twins...born of different father. Cain can be explained as Satan's offspring when you read Et Ha Adams genealogy. Cain is not mentioned and he has his own genealogy( Gen 4:17,18) There are many preachers, teacher that don't teach this, but all one has to do is read and rightly divide God's work. Christ even reveal this (John8:44).Knowing this I understand why God destroyed the wicked ones that were on the earth during that time. Also remember in Gen7:15, God indicates other men and women (gentiles)that had the breath of life that went into the ark, then He closed the doors.God reveals and explains all things, all we have to do is seek

Lighton In the original scripture there were no capital letters, no chapters, no center references, no punctuation it was all manuscript form {forgodsolovedtheworld] that being said I choose to believe that the translators did a remarkable job in what they were assigned to do. What we were given explains plenty to understand our deliverance by God through Jesus Christ. God Bless

What is remarkable in the Judaic traditions are the example the word uses for the need of man always doing something right or wrong in comparison to the will of God! How making excuses for sin and disobedience, would somehow be justification for what He does.

What if the Jewish tradition never existed, what if the prophets were never recorded in the old testament? Their would be know need for A PROMISE TO BE FULFILLED! As a matter of fact there would be no sin that would separate us from God! There would be no need for a law!

The lives of the tribes have been reserved for mankind's learning. Beginning with Moses! They have recorded and saved all of it! Being delivered from slavery, with Moses as their guide. they continue on until now!

Through all the ups and downs, the troubles, the joys , the idea that God was the reason, and that A righteous King would be born unto them, even now is what we look for! Now Christ comes along and covers all that has been said and done. Fills every jot and tittle. Crosses every t and dots every I. In fact the king was born! He was here, and they rejected Him!

To understand the Judaic traditions would be a big help in understanding the relationship, of the law and gospel and what they mean to one another. Terms like circumcision. Born again, redemption, sanctification ,justification. The deeper man goes into his own works, believing something else, the further from the understanding of these things become!

We justify everything we do, that is the danger in believing we are right in a certain thing. That thing is called the works of the law. Soon there will be no law. Then we will understand what it means, when it is gone! Then the word Christian may become only a vapor of the past! Then they will say ,how can these things be?

Lighton Everything thing that man needs to be complete is written in the bible 2 Timothy 3:16+17, your not dealing with theology which is man's idea of how God works. The word is God saying behold what I have done through my son either we believe or not, as it says in Isaiah 55:8+9. God Bless

    Ron,

Many have different views on this and some defend them fiercely and interpret scripture to fit those views. This is not a salvation question so here are some things you may study for your own conscience; we all will face the death of this fleshly body and how you decide to face it is up to you. ( Psalm 6:5) ( Job 14:12-14) ( Job 17:13-16) ( Psalm 89:48) ( Psalm 115:17) ( Ecclesiastes 9:5-10)

There is a verse in ( 1 Timothy 4:7) to keep in mind, the actual Greek word used by Paul in this verse was "mythous", from which the English words myth and mythology come. In the actual Greek text of this verse, Paul further characterizes these fables as profane "bebelous". The King James Version of the Bible renders as "profane and old wives' tales".

Does scripture without man's interpretation back up a belief? ( Luke 16:19-31) is taught that we go to heaven or hell when we die. Questions to ask; What is the context of this chapter? Is this a parable or a reality? Is it backed up by other scripture or does it line up with Greek mythology?

What is our spirit? ( Psalm 104:29) ( Ecclesiastes 12:7) ( James 2:26). Spirit meaning wind, breath, spirit. When are we absent from our bodies? If we go to heaven when we die what is the meaning of ( 1 Corinthians 15:52-58)?

My personal understanding what scripture says is our spirit is our breath, and when we die it goes back to God who gave it, and our communication through the Holy Spirit stops until the resurrection,(sleep in Christ). And we being saved in Christ with the down payment/seal given by the Holy Spirit will be raised incorruptible in our new body and then we are absent from this fleshly body. But it is what you decide.

    God bless.
