Chris I understand you sent you something else, again stuff to think about I never to question the integrity of Gods word, I never ask myself is it true or not I ask why was it said that way. God Bless
  • Dianne - In Reply - 4 years ago
Chris This another area that's food for thought, In Genesis my understanding of the word create Biblcally is to bring something into existence that which never existed before. In genesis Chapter 1 its used in verse one then in verse 21 he created great whales and verse 27 He created man in his image. God is Spirit you can't communicate with spirit via the five senses then in chapter 2:7 It says God formed man of the dust of the ground his body and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Now man was body soul and spirit. getting back to Genesis 1:1 God is perfect he cannot produce something not perfect that's where I think in between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2 the rebellion in Heaven could have happened and lucifer came down and screwed things up with the other angels that rebelled. From verse 3 to verse to verse 19 God is setting things back in order so to speak. No I'm not hardly an expert in this field no single man in my mind is an expert on the Knowledge of God Word even the best commentators disagree among themselves so I'm like everyone else look up and research. It's a whole lot of fun to work. God Bless Any other input more than welcome.

The answer to the question in not Job 29:8 I talks about the young men saw me and hid their themselves. The aged men arose, and stood up.

How does this verse relate to Job's wealth? I don't get this as the answer>

    Thank you

    Dear Akinjide,

PRAY, read your Bible, memorize Scriptures, sing--cling to God in all His ways. He has also given scientists the knowledge to developed medication designed to treat mental illness. Nothing to be ashamed about doing that. It's like taking an aspirin for a headache or cough medicine for a cough. If you and your mother aren't taking meds or have quit taking meds, please seek out a doctor to treat you.

May you find hope in God and feel His longing for you to come closer to Him.

Psalm 34:17-20 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

God bless you, comfort, and keep you.

Thanks brother. I appreciate reading all the answers given by all; makes very interesting reading at times, to see how we look at & interpret Scripture. If you offer comment & I feel that it was well written (as they usually are) & I have nothing special to add, I just hold back & move down the list. Thank you again brother & for all your contributions to help others.

In Ephesians 3:1-7 look at verse 9 which hath been hid in God, look at 1 Peter 1:10-12 the knowledge of The Church of God was Given to the Apostle Paul to teach, that' s my understanding when you search the church epistles. It is confusing to me that Jesus's linage is assigned to David when Joseph was not his father and no part of Jesus has the DNA of Joseph. It is Mary's line from which he arose and that is never mentioned or explained in the bible. By the way I am not a feminist so that is not the root of this question.

    Thanks

  • Pandemic and Pestilence are the same - In Reply - 4 years ago
The Bible calls it Pestilence. Pestilence can be illnesses, plagues, pandemics.

Use the Search Box on this website to look up those other words I added.

Just reading all the verses gives a real clear picture of what these things are.

You can GOOGLE: PAST PANDEMICS LIST

to read a list authored by the CDC. Even if the numbers are low, it shows that the earth has undergone this before. Only in The Bible it says these things will speed up and be more overwhelming as when a woman is about to give birth.

Know what Matthew 24, and Luke 21, warns us of to be looking for the Lords return. Also, 1 Thessalonians chapters 4 and 5. It's good to read Peter. I keep my mind anchored on Philippians 4:8

You're correct Glenn, that women were mightily used by God in both the OT & NT. But when we come to these verses about women not teaching or to be in subordination to men, it is only spoken of in relation to the Church. See also 1 Corinthians 11:3,10.

We can't equate any OT practice with the NT Church pattern, because the Church is based upon Christ alone & the administration & conduct of His Church are the responsibilities of those directly under Christ's headship. But this never negates the ministry of women in its many aspects, within & without the Church nor their equality to men, as children of God together. This is the pattern laid out for us: we can choose to adhere to it or refuse it. Many Fellowships disregard much of the teachings in this respect; we are not called to judge them but we have the option to stay or leave according to our understanding of the Word.

AVA, the Bible can give you strength to be different; follow Jesus Christ as he says to all his disciples (you being one of them).

I think you will find some inspiration in the Book of Ruth. She also lived in a bad town. Bad things going on. Eventually she left her people and chose to follow her mother-in-law to her hometown.

God really blessed her all along the way. I won't ruin the ending of the story for you.

God has chosen us to come out from among "them". Those who live for the world and the flesh. If you put your faith in God and listen for his leading, He'll bring you to a better life. As He did for Ruth. You might have to plan and save. Scout out the neighborhood you choose and ask the Lord for exactly what you need to make that happen. No more, no less. He knows your needs.

He did it for me, and He does it for others. Pray with Him every step of the way. I will Agree in prayer with you.

    Matthew 18:19-20

That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, THERE AM I, in the midst of them.

    John 1:12

Yet to all who receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

    1 Timothy 2:8

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without frustration and doubting.

    Matthew 7:7

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

DearGod,I thank you that you have a job forme, and I know that in whatever position you placeme,I will be blessed. I am blessed when I come and when Igo,and I know that I am above only and not beneath. You have blessed me and called me your own.

I know that my success is found in youand you have given me the ability to perform my job withexcellence. It is in you thatIreceive promotion, increase and success and I thank you thatyou've heard me.

If that verse ( 1 Timothy 2:11) reveals a misinterpretation, could you say what the word should be? In Greek, it's the same word used in both that verse & verse 12.

The entire account of the rape and murder of this poor concubine is absolutely horrific. It shows just how deviate and depraved man has always been. The fact that a bunch Homosexuals would be bold as to want to rape anyone that entered that city would cause me to say that they deserved to die. However the Levite was just as guilty by not putting up a fight against them.

The Genesis flood narrative tells how Noah and his three sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, together with their wives, were saved from the Deluge to repopulate the Earth. ... In chapter 11 verses 10-26 a second list of descendants of Shem names Abraham and thus the Israelites.

In the Book of Jubilees (160-150 BC) the names of the wives of Noah, Shem, Ham and Japheth are as follows:

    * Wife of Noah - Emzara.

    * Wife of Shem - Sedeqetelebab.

    * Wife of Ham - Na'eltama'uk.

    * Wife of Japheth - 'Adataneses.

In the Biblical view, the listed children of Japheth, Shem and Ham correspond to various historic nations and peoples. In the typical interpretation, these sons of Noah correspond to three races: European, Semitic, and African. Alternate divisions claim Euro-Asian Japhet, Semitic Shem, and Afro-Asian Ham.

The Genesis Rabba midrash lists Naamah, the daughter of Lamech and sister of Tubal-Cain, as the wife of Noah, as does the 11th-century Jewish commentator Rashi in his commentary on Genesis 4:22.

In the medieval midrash Parry, J. H. (ed.). "5:15". Book of Jasher. Translated by Moses, Samuel., the name of Noah's wife is said to be Naamah, daughter of Enoch.

Since the 17th century a number of suggestions have been made that relate the name Ham to a Hebrew word for "burnt", "black" or "hot", to the Egyptian word m for "servant" or the word m for "majesty" or the Egyptian word kmt for "Egypt".[4] A 2004 review of David Goldenberg's The Curse of Ham: Race and Slavery in Early Judaism, Christianity and Islam (2003) states that Goldenberg "argues persuasively that the biblical name Ham bears no relationship at all to the notion of blackness and as of now is of UNKNOWN (color) etymology.

Sorry it took so long to answer your question.

Candle, Hi! Not sure if this is a whole question or a 2 part but I'll do my best to break it down. Reconciliation by Webster's def. 1] to restore, resolve, or settle, 2] to make consistent, 3] to cause to submit to something unpleasant, 4] to check or balance. Biblical def. 1] the act of reconciling 2 parties or renewal of friendship after enmity. 2] by which sinners are reconciled and brought into favor with God. Biblically used 8 times, Lev.8;15, 2 Corinth. 5:19, Heb. 2:17 (to note the common ones). Communion simply means to have fellowship with God, and or his people by His Spirit. Both Web. and Bible say the same. Used only 3 times in scripture twice in the same verse and all in the letters to the Corinthian church. Confirmation again both basically say the same; the act of confirming or establishing, being MORE FIRM. Lets put it all together, but please do not just read the scriptures I give but read the whole chapters to put it in context and better perspective. The Blood of Christ is not to be mishandled, treated with disrespect, and or otherwise scoffed at. It was His Blood that was shed at Calvary, therefore there is Power, healing, deliverance, and ultimately Salvation through His Blood for us today. When Jesus said take this cup drink, for this is the New Test. in my blood... Luke 22: 20(please forgive me I paraphrased) He was setting the example (as typology it wasn't real blood) for the church to do the same in the days to come but to be mindful and careful as oft as you do it setting the precept for the first communion(for us) but being the last fellowship for Him. The reconciliation part well...I think 2 Corinth. 5:19 says it all ever since Adam sinned it put enmity between God and man. After God created everything(including the angels) He saw that it was good but still there was something missing, He wanted something to worship Him on his own free will hence the man but sin entered the picture and well we had to have reconciliation, be Blessed. Gerald

Who were the two others, that Jesus met , on the mount of transfiguration ? Moses & Elijah,.. now it's not biblical, but common sense , an the fact that no one buried Moses or Elijah, our Father took them both ,.. so I tend to believe, that Moses an Elijah will be the two witnesses,.. just me , an just a thought here ,..

That verse , women are to be silent,.. that has no gender, it's a mis-interpretation,. Simply meaning , when God's word is being taught, there should be no chatter, or disruptive nonsense going on , we are to listen, an pay close attention thank you
