Richard Hi no one knows how old the earth is in Genesis 1:1 it says in the beginning so take your pick 20 million, 80 million no matter what they choose it doesn't change what God said it is still in the beginning. Another point the statement replenish the earth in the context was stated to man and woman, so I don't know what was there before but something was and got changed. Something to think about.

Read Ezekiel 28:12-19. take note of verses 14 and 15.

Nana Just as adam has stated Everything God created was given freedom of will to obey Him or not including angels, the true God is not a control freak and does not make or control people to do things. If He was he could have stopped Adam and Eve. Even Jesus Christ in the Garden of gethsemane ask is there any other way. he was not forced to go to the cross he out of love for us gave Himself. Gods desire or will is for people to love him by there freedom of will that is a process of thought based on scripture. Hence the word of God Is the Will of God. If God gives men free will so men can love him by their own free will; but God hates sin. All man has to do is not sin, by their free will. To me either man does't have free will or man loves sin more than God.

I will do that today. I had to buy a new Bible, because the one I search in is so marked up. There's 5 Bibles in the same condition in my bookcase. They're like old friends and I cannot bear to let them go.

I've been helping someone to clear out a house of a disabled parent who died, and it's difficult to see what happens to 70+ years of accumulated belongings. It makes you think about heaven and the sheer joy of being unencumbered.

My siblings and I lost my mother this week suddenly. We are having her wake today and funeral tomorrow. It is very hard and we are all dying inside. Pray for us. Pray also the Lord tells me what job to look for. I need to know his will in that matter. Pray my siblings remain strong and we just have peace in knowing our mom is with the Lord. I also need prayer that my faith holds. This is stretching it. I am not going to lie. I want to see my mom again and be with her in heaven. Pray I do not lose heart but hold onto JESUS...My faith is weak right now.....Pray none of my siblings faith fails.

Hello, God created everything, but He doesn't create our own choices. He loved us enough to give us freewill. We can use it for good or evil. The fact that satan was an angel in heaven and chose evil shows that even angels in heaven have freewill. So, heaven isn't filled with a bunch of obedient robots, but God-loving beings who choose love. Because most people choose evil, most people won't go to heaven.

God doesn't want people to sin. Sin is disobedience to God and immorality.

Those who are upset about evil existing often complain about freewill that others have to do evil (but not themselves). But if you're a parent and have a choice of forcing your child into compliance to say they love you, or hearing 'I love you' under their own choosing, which would be more genuine and meaningful to you?

Drake Some things to think about your heart for God is evident, 1 John 3:20+21 also Romans 8:28-39 thats in the context of walking by the spirit i.e. Gods word. Nobody is worthy of this, we have been made the righteousness of God in Christ, all sins are paid in full God looks at us as his family. Look at the logic an earthly father when a mistake is made instructs and teaches so that the error gets corrected. Our heavenly Father God gave us everything through Jesus Christ who is our greatest example. In 2 Timothy3:16+17 is the purpose of Gods word verse 17 That the man of God may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works. The word throughly is not in error its there because we have been made clean by the accomplished work of Jesus Christ. i never think about what I was I endeavor to think about 2 Corinthians 5: 17-21. I guess this is a hot topic for me, because I keep having more to say.... But even after I was saved, I fell into

using "I AM" as a kind of mantra, desperately wanting to know (with my mind) that Jesus was within me.

All I had to do was quietly repeat, "I am....." and meditate. But there is a huge difference between desperately

wanting to know THAT Christ is within us, and desperately wanting to know CHRIST ..... When the Lord Jesus Christ is present, and you look into His face, you feel every sin wiped away, you feel cleansed and completely freed. You are a soul in love..... When you look into face of "I AM" or "God Consciousness," you meet an idea. Sin has not been dealt with. You remain in your sin. You may not know intellectually but you feel it. Someone put it well: your feet remain firmly planted in mid-air.

The fireplace is the alter of God, unapproachable ,yet if we find ourselves their we will never leave the same. Refined, cleansed , by a fire that none may know. The same fire that Moses removed his shoes for! This law of God it will bring you to a place of refining, a place of mercy, indeed a mercy seat! It truly is our schoolmaster! This is the will of the Father to bring all men unto Himself. God the Father in His love, now has done something much different! He has given us a new way! A way unto Him , without the fires of sacrifice, without the remembrance and sacrifice that could never make us perfect!

This mighty One has given His Only begotten Son! The new alter found at the foot of the cross! No more vail, the doors now open for all to see and come. Who may kneel freely, and find the love of the father through the Son! Both Jew and Gentile, bond and free, rich or poor. All men, women ,and children. Come and see who this is, the savior of the world! Jesus the Christ.

And the friend I wrote about earlier, who did not like the idea of "blood sacrifice" or that Jesus died for his sins,

he is very much a believer of this "Universal Christ' and this "Light of God" being in all beings..... a very Hindu idea.

To someone who has not met the Lord, not been born again, the idea of God being a "Person" seems very constricting,

very narrow, hence the great appeal of the unsaved flocking to the "Universal Christ.'

there is a wonderful interview of Steven Bacarz (former new age megastar, converted to Christ) being interviewed by Alisa Chambers, on the new age "Universal Christ," a book written by Richard Rohr. I fell pray to the Universal Christ too, just praying, "I AM" believing I Am to be Christ.... ("know ye not, ye are gods?") I AM became a mantra. there was no need of any gospel, no need of any Blood of the Lamb. It is a huge movement in the New Age, Richard Rohrs book has influenced many, many people. It is really Hindu philosophy, meditating on "I AM" to lead you to Unity Consciousness, or God Consciousness. Everybody can say, "I AM" and so everybody has Christ.... When I lived in the Zen Buddhist center in my 20's, we all had a "mantra," a word you say over an over again, later on I tried "I AM" as a mantra. What I got was more stuck in my mind, fallen prey to another delusion. The Lord is a Person. The fallen self cannot keep saying the name of the Lord and become a god, as I found out. Mishael, I wonder if you could make a comment on this Universal Christ movement so prevalent among New Agers.... Did you ever come upon in in evangelizing?

Hello Drake. The anguish you feel is mirrored in so many of us. The Apostle Paul suffered under the same spiritual cloud when he looked at the conflict in himself, between sin & his spirit. Romans 7:14-23 shows that conflict. But after his agonizing over it, he could find that victory lay not within him, but in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Even the Psalmist in Psalm 73:21-26, despaired of his unworthiness before God (was seen as a beast before Him & with a body & heart that failed God in life & in death). Yet, even he could raise himself up & proclaim that inspite of this, God was still his Strength, that His Presence hadn't left him & he would be guided in this life & into the next.

All God ever expects of His children is to humble themselves before Him, acknowledging that there "dwelleth no good thing" as far as our flesh is concerned. When we bring our sins & shortcomings before Him & our desire is not to the sin but only to the Saviour, He sees the heart that is inclined towards Him: a heart of faith, of hope, of expectation in our final redemption from this Earth. "He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust", but He also knows where the blood of His Son has been applied, and that not one of His sheep will be lost or plucked from His Hand.

We can confidently rest on such Scriptures, but if sin overtakes us, we look up & reach out for our Father & receive assurance of forgiveness & restoration. You've shared a mighty testimony declaring your love for the Lord; this cannot come from a heart succumbed to a sinful life, but of one engaged in the earthly battle in the spiritual realm, trusting the Lord for that extra measure of faith & strength. "This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." Faith in Christ alone who has gotten us the victory through His Cross. Stay strong brother - keep looking up in faith & looking down into His Word for you.

I'm requesting prayer for an employment situation. I am waiting to here back from my employer about passing onboarding & compliance. I have emailed them & haven't heard back if I passed. My employment hinges on whether I pass or not. Please guide my onboarding through the final phase & pass if it is your will. I also want to pray for my friend Kenneth. That evil people/spirits leave him alone, he is healthy, heal his stomach, & help him find salvation. I pray he is saved & develops a relationship with You.

It was so good to read of the profitable time you had with your friend; for his/her spiritual benefit & prayerfully leading to salvation, and for you, increased joy in your heart & confidence in sharing the Word by God's Spirit. Remember, the enormous power that is in God's Word, which is God-breathed. If at the sound of the Word, demons tremble & flee, how much more will an enquiring soul become troubled as spiritual conflict takes place. Are you a born-again Christian? John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Humble yourself before Christ, confess your sins, repent--to wit, determine never to commit those sins again--and believe in your heart that he has saved you. He will give you a new heart and a new life in Him. Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

Once you are born-again, do get baptized by submersion, and I strongly advise you to talk to a pastor or someone who can lead you into the steps of spiritual growth.

Even after we are saved, God doesn't promise everything will run smooth, but He does promise that He will be with us always.

I lost four friends and five family members in a matter of several months. It was a hard pill to swallow and I kept waiting for the next person to die, wondering if I was next.

I don't mean to sound flip, but these things do happen. Bad things happen, people die, it's all due to the fall in the Garden of Eden. And all we can do is pray for comfort, really, knowing that God's will is just, though we may not understand until we get to Heaven. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Hi Dianne , I get really annoyed by negative sermons also , there are a group of Christians who regularly preach in my local town centre and all they talk about is the devil and sin and he'll ,they are in fact slightly abusive to people , it's as if they are deliberately pushing people away rather than trying to draw them in with bands of love , I would have much more respect for them if they kept their mouths shut and just gave away free Bibles to anyone who wants one , even occasionally in my congregation we get a preacher who will pick one of the slightly less reputable characters in the Bible and spend 45 minutes just ripping that person apart , firstly they are just pandering to our vanity by implying that none of us would have behaved in that way if we were in that situation , I'm sorry but I am definitely a sinner and might have done even worse ! Secondly it's just dull . I want to here preachers fishing and using love and truth and peace and joy and amazing awesome promises about a fantastic future as bait , not hate and condemnation and fear and a holier than thou attitude .
