Jess, Precious friend, I don't believe God Has a "Double Indemnity" for sin; ie:

"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their WORKS." ( Revelation 20:12).

This then makes sense, since God, The Father IS SATISFIED With His SON's FULL Payment for ALL sin, Correct?

This Psalm is where I have turned in the "worst of times and the best of times". Having lost my grandaughter (15) to murder and nearly lost my grandson as well (7); I can say that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is who you need in order to live spiritually. My soul might have been lost to hate but as Corey TenBoom has said, God gave her love. Believe me, I look to the hills often . . .

I am praying for you. Can you join a Daily Scripture Writing Plan on Facebook? You can connect with other believers. Oe if you are in position to volunteer with animals or botanical garden groups, or something that you have an interest in. Perhaps a Zoom Bible Study, such as Church of the Highlands or other large churches offer, that are doctrinally sound. God bless you Randy.

"speaking evil of the Jews"? What Saith The Scripture?

"To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men." ( Titus 3:2)

To Spencer...God is Just and Fair...all the way across the board....He is not a respecter of persons....Sin is SIN...and it all will be judged by the God of Heaven! There is but one way to have those sins washed away or blotted out...and that is by the Blood of Jesus, God's Only Begotten Son!! If the Blood is applied we may enter in, if not? well DEATH..the second death...not death of our physical body...but death meaning eternal separation from God....God is not more understanding about ANY sin....God HATES sin! He cannot look upon it....BUT Jesus!! ALL sin has consequences...even after salvation there is a penalty for sin in our lives.....but after salvation.....We are free from sin and the bondage thereof!! However...our lives and the work done on this Earth for Christ will be tried by our Father in Heaven with fire...and it will be of wood, hay or stubble...and burn before our eyes...OR it will be of precious metals....and make it through the fire....there are also degrees of hell...meaning obviously there are sins that have a greater penalty than others!!!

Adam This is a P.S. in the 1950's the KGB wrote a document stating we are not going to take the U.S. down by force we will divide it by taking apart families and drug infiltration, I.E. divide and conquer. Look at the book None Dare call it treason, also when it comes to mind control and rebellion I.E. music look at the book marxist minstrels. I do not believe the target is the country it is a spiritual battle to take down Gods word Ephesians 6:12. Remember old testament rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. The best action for us to take Acts 5: 20 Go stand speak to the people in the temple and everywhere I added everywhere all the words of this life. God Bless

I chose the KJV because it hits straight to the point for me, everyone is different the contemporary is great also. Try them both compare scriptures and study what's best for you.

Adam Historically the pilgrims were the ones escaping the religious persecution in Europe against Christianity, when you read the events of there trip Gods hand was definitely with them. Most of the other founding fathers were masons in belief who's ultimate motivation is power and money, I.E. the love of money is root of all evil. The biggest problem this country is dealing with is actually one, most people in it want things there way better known as pride. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I'm thankful that Gods word can still be spoken freely for the most part. God Bless

Diana - If you live to be a hundred and read every day you still want know it all. Paul wrote that now we see through a glass darkly but will see face to face. If you want to go to heaven it's very simple. You must be born again- John 3:16

Jesus said on these two hang ALL the law & prophets. Love the Lord with all your heart, love your neighbor as yourself and do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

If you do those things you're understanding will lead you to the truth.

Is knowing the scriptures enough to save you?

Peter knew! Still having made the mistake of forgetting what Jesus had taught Him, He drew His sword and cut off the ear of the man who was sent to arrest Christ.

In a time that would already be determined by the destiny of one man, we too are under the same cloud, even right now!

At times we allow emotion to overcome things we cannot do anything about.

As easily as this is said, so is our nature to do or say the things that are not according to Gods will!

When you come too that place you will find peace, peace even in the darkest garden! Remember one thing! He loves you, and died for U.

    Repent and be baptized.

Thank you Chris (oh, btw, I am a sister :) I appreciate your responses. I had the most amazing conversation with my friend yesterday, completely Spirit-led. Things are moving..... I am trusting the Holy Spirit to guide me in all conversations, when I do that I don't fret about anything. He knows my frame it's nothing. But in Him, we can do all things.... Thank you for your thoughts, there is much wisdom there. My heart is very strongly desiring the salvation of my brothers, and the salvation of those whom God has given me. I am now believing that what God has intended, God will perform. I'm grateful for the wealth of wisdom on this site from brothers like you.

Dear Standing On Your Authority, I really love your comment. Hey, yesterday I had the most wonderful conversation with this friend I had been talking about, the conversation just flowed, I heard things coming out of my mouth from the Spriit, scriptures, it wasn't me trying to remember anything. And my friend opened right up, and said a few things that made me feel he is very close to the Kingdom. What a blessing! I have been praying for this friend for a long time, but equally importantly, loving him as he is..... trusting God. I like Charles Capps books a lot, he is simple and filled with the Spirit. I will listen to scriptures online, that's a good idea.... I fasted and prayed yesterday, I just wanted to get closer to Jesus, just be with Him. I had forgotten my friend. Lo and behold, I end up on a phone call with my friend and he comes around. And all I had done was gotten closer to the Lord! Not studying tactics, not memorizing ways and means.... Just getting close to God. Fasting and praying and feasting on the Word. Thanks for your teaching, I hear it.

  • Standing On The Authority of Jesus Christ - In Reply - 4 years ago
I learned about the Authority of the Believer in Jesus Christ from listening to Charles Capps on YouTube. This also is why we are less effective in prayer for lost friends.

We can't firm in our faith in Jesus's ability; his Authority.

Scripture coming out of our mouth can do more than we think. We aren't going to feel or see anything. We will know that scripture will accomplish what you sent it to do.

I always ask the Holy Spirit to help me.

Sometimes I lay down and listen to 200 scriptures on YouTube. I live alone and have a lot of time to do these things. Quantity doesn't matter as much as trusting the Holy Spirit's Help.

Don't get discouraged. That's why we have Eph.6

We're doing damage and people are being freed.

I can think of one occasion where Paul was determined to get to Jerusalem by the Day of Pentecost & didn't want anything to stop him from doing so: Acts 20:15-24. Not sure if you were thinking of this one. If not, if you can remember anymore details.

My greatest fear when i look at my own sin, is that we belong to a just God. He cannot deny Himself. There will defiantly be consequences for our choices in life. My hope and my prayer is, when I finally turn my back to this darkness in my life, God will allow His face to shine on me once again. I love you Lord, I love You so much, I repent inside myself.

From everlasting to everlasting, You are Lord. Kind, and gracious, full of love, and compassion with a desire to see us succeed. Praise Your holy name,

  • Chris - In Reply - 4 years ago
Thank you for your reply, brother. I didn't realize that your friend didn't believe in the existence of sin & sinners. Then he believes that whatever mankind does, whether right or wrong, is a result of some natural tendency, where some people manifest with good acts & in others bad. I wonder how he views disobedience to man's laws: e.g. road rules, assault or death against others, or even theft or lying? Are these things inconsequential to him & just an aberration in the genetic code of some? Then why should governments take action against them if that were the case; doesn't this action prove that such behaviour is unacceptable? If unacceptable to them, how much more to God Who sees all these things, even the condition of the evil heart? The fact that even supposedly 'good upright' people can still do bad things, give proof that evil reigns in all of us & man has been unable to deal with it.

Please don't "put aside the idea of evangelizing". Evangelism takes many forms; the essential part is simply being a witness of the Grace of God taken place in you. It can be as 1 Peter 3:15 shows: "be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear": just a true joyful answer to someone enquiring about this Christ in your life. Or, 1 Corinthians 9:16: "necessity is laid upon me (said Paul, the apostle & evangelist); yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel": a burden to reach out in whatever way possible, in whichever country, because of the imminence of death to that soul & resulting hell.

When we walk in the Spirit with love for all, God will not only provide the right opportunity, but the proper time & giving His Message to that lost soul. Don't be discouraged - be Christ's Light & Truth - in time when the Spirit deals with your friend's heart, he will truly know where to go to find the Light & hear the Truth. Your undiluted friendship will mean more to him as you are there for him. Blessings.

Well ask ourselves why didn't Samson simply get away from Deliah. The same reason that you and I don't forsake the sin that tempts us the most. We think that we are stronger than the sin that lures US away from God. Thus we lose our strength with God. Repentance and walking in the Spirit is the only way to overcome it . .

Hi , just a thought , evil is a word and like lots of other words it can mean different things to different people . What we call evil may be what God regards as a just punishment for our sinfulness . I'm reading Jeremiah at the moment and sooo many times God says something along the lines of : the evil I will inflict on these people because of their disobedience . It's evil to us because it's unpleasant for us to suffer it . All of you on here who have read the Bible know that very often God uses that word and the Israelites use that word to describe their suffering of a just punishment from God because of their sinfulness .

    Hi Dianne.

I believe He is asking what does

( that was made ) mean.

John 1:3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made "THAT WAS MADE."

    God bless.

Hi Walter. I feel that Conviction (plus Faith) plus Commitment equals an unshakeable & undistracted focus & reliance upon the LORD God.

From the Scriptures you gave, all three (Moses, Joshua & Caleb), demonstrated this throughout their lives; the special link to both Conviction & Commitment is Faith, without which both Conviction & Commitment would fail as it often happened to the children of Israel. The calibre of these three great men & the mediocrity of the rest of Israel, demonstrated that Israel only saw the Law & their compulsion to obey, but these men saw the Living God, His spoken Word, & the Divine Hand that led them.
  • Adam - In Reply on Ephesians 2 - 4 years ago
I personally believe its wrong to talk down to anyone. Everyone is made in the image of God and just because they are lost and acting evil doesn't mean they will always. I think showing God's love to those who act unlovable is very compelling way to evangelize. People take notice of that if you withold judgement. To other believers in a closed setting I feel its good to call out the truth however, like if someone is saying how awesome a cult religion is that doesn't follow the Bible, I will try to discuss in a respectful manner what the Bible says and how that's different than the other practice.
