a deeper walk, and I have allowed too many other voices to get in the way. I will turn now, and
be still and listen, and by His grace follow. Thank you brother. Btw, I am called somehow to
the country of Norway, the Lord keeps laying this country on my heart, to pray for them. I study
Norwegian, and my grandparents came from there. Your name, "Fred," in Norwegian, means 'peace.'
Thanks again.
His voice is specific, they will try and keep you from Him, do not fear as He calls and keeps you. He will lead as you follow. Be not afraid , for He cares for you!
Do you see the still water, Do you see the green pastures, be not afraid of the shadows they can do nothing! Come to His table, sit down and take what He has prepared for you. The shepherd of your soul! Repent and be baptized
Jesus, in John 10:34 quotes this Psalm. You might remember the occasion: the Jews took up stones to stone Jesus for blasphemy (i.e. they believed that Jesus was a mere man & not on equal terms with God). Then Jesus responded to them: "Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" As it was in Psalm 82, so the same condemnation is given by Jesus here, to these Jews who came 'upholding the Law & determining whether a man be condemned or not'. As God condemned those unjust judges in the Psalm, so Jesus is telling them that if they are in a position of being His judge now, why should they condemn Him for being the Son of God, One Who did God's Works in the Name & Power of God Almighty? ( John 10:34-38).
I share this extra bit on John 10 to give the connection with Psalm 82, as Jesus referred to it, that the Elohim spoken of there, applied even now, as these Jewish leaders behaved no differently to those judges in the Psalm, who judged unjustly & not with righteous judgement. And because of their responsible position, judges, society leaders & spiritual leaders who behave wickedly will receive the greater condemnation ( Matthew 23:14,23).
We want to go with Jesus. Turn over to 2 Peter 3.
GLOBAL WARMING is a lie of the devil. This Earth is warming up for the END.
Verse 13: new heavens and a new earth. And Jesus will see us again... hallelujah!
Matthew 24 and Luke 21 are THE SIGNS we are to be identifying. They're described as birth pains. For instance: at the beginning California caught on fire every other year; then every year. Now they are burning continuously because of crippling drought. This year drought, floods and fire. Don't get caught saying what 2 Peter 3:4 says.
WHY WOULD WE NOT BE LOOKING FOR NEW HEAVENS AND A NEW EARTH??!
Jesus is Returning whether we want to go or not. And maybe you should go on YouTube and watch some of the Apocalypse or Rapture movies to get a grip on a soon to be reality. Some of them are awful, but it gets the point across.
That's why some of us are always preaching on the "Rapture". God is not being mean. This has been in this Bible from Genesis to Present Day. Thousands of years! We just happen to be the Terminal Generation. Rabbi Schneider said a generation is 70 years. I'm 70 yrs old :D
Evangelize loved ones, friends, neighbors, people at our grocery store, etc. This is the time to do it.
It's just like the devil to get everyone on social media, Twitter, etc, NOT TALKING TO EACH OTHER FACE TO FACE. We're all holed up in our secret identities, talking to people we may have never met...do we know if they're born again?

Think on these things and let's get this matter settled in our minds now.
Mishael
If the Gospel seems nonsense to him, he needs to maybe understand mankind's need of a saviour in a contemporary manner. The best example of this would be when someone reaches out to another in distress, disregarding his own life to save him. It could be a swimmer drowning, one hanging precariously over a cliff, or even one facing a total financial loss where suicide is the only option. A witness to any of those events could simply abstain from offering help since their own life or finances may be in great jeopardy. But how grateful would the one in peril be if someone would actually reach out, disregarding his own life, to save a stranger's life.
Your friend needs to see that his (& our) sins that have separated us from God & made us to be a vile people before Him, have not brought on immediate judgement from God. Rather, He gave of Himself, in His Son Jesus Christ, to reach out to us to save us from what we rightly deserved ( 1 Peter 3:18; John 15:13). So Jesus' death on the Cross was not a "human sacrifice" (as men consider it to mean), but was a willingness, out of great love, to take our place & bear God's Judgement for us. So we can say "What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins & griefs to bear", as only One who truly loved & cared for us would willingly lay down His Life for us.
And yes, cannibalism or satanic practices are certainly not part of biblical teaching & not the understanding of true believers. What he might have seen or heard of elsewhere is not from the Bible. May the Lord give you His Wisdom & Words to share with your friend.

Short answer: I don't believe anyone goes anywhere until they are judged by God. And I don't believe that happens until Jesus comes. Those who claim otherwise rely on interpreting about 3 verses in a specific way which I believe is an improper interpretation and inconsistent with other scripture. Regardless, this is not a salvation issue and not worth anyone having divisions among the body over. You will find scripture support in the thread.
God bless...

I think Joel 2:29 just about covers it. If you follow Jesus and Paul's ministries, you'll see that women followed Jesus and helped with various chores for the whole group. There was no dating. They all chose to follow.
Yes if someone was save they can fall if not repent they are not saved. We must repent to the Lord. Only the lord knows what is in people's hearts. Look at 1 samual 16:7.
I hope this helps my friend. God bless.
It's some reading but It helps to see what other preachers have written.
There are two views as to what the Nicolaitans are. One view is that the Nicolaitans were led by a man named Nicholas. He's mentioned back in Acts 6:5. He's one of the men that were chosen to distribute bread to the Greek speaking Jewish community. Some historical documents say that Nicholas left the church and became a Gnostic, and began spreading false teaching.
There is another view, which appears to be the correct view since the Nicolaitans were not even that well established at this time as far as Nicholas goes.
The word Nicolaitan is made up of two Greek words, NIKE (pronounced nee-kay) and is the word for overcome. It's the word for victory. And LAOS means the people. It represented the democratic control of the people in the church, where the leaders ruled. They lorded it over the flock. And the Lord says I hate that!
You see, we're all equal. If God wanted me to be a leader, it would not be because I'm more special than anybody else. He might call me to that particular function, but that doesn't mean that once I start functioning in that area, that I know the Lord better than you do.
Many churches have fallen because the leaders took human control over the church, and they themselves were not governed by God's Spirit. The deeds of the Nicolaitans, the lording it over the flock, the human democracy over God's people, God says He hates.
That doesn't mean that there cannot be administration. But Christians today function like Jesus Christ ascended up into heaven, and left us here to do His work for Him. No! He's still here. He's still the head of the church. He's our leader. And if you're in leadership, you still look to the leader who is Jesus Christ.
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Mark 9:29
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
Like your friend I was spiritually blind and deaf. I only remembered wondering why Christians never invited me to go to church with them.
I was saved like Paul. I had been an astrologer. I believed the stars would tell me all the answers. All I knew after I was saved, is Someone was telling me how to be free. Acts 19:19.
Your friend may not be able to hear the Truth: John 3. You may have to put on your armor and pray and fast from food and media. BIND up the spirits of blind, deaf and dumb (can't speak Gods Word). CAST them into outer darkness. Pray to the Lord of the Harvest to send laborers to your friend; ask God to protect him with His angels.
The Devil just wants to hurt you; make you feel inadequate to help your friend. He doesn't want us to feel equipped to evangelize. He likes us paralyzed and doubting.
Dig in. Announce your fast. You can drink water.
Satan and his workers are invisible. You're not going to see them. You will be peeling their hands off of your friend. Claim his soul for the Kingdom of God. If you gotta go sit in your car to "turn up the volume", do it. Jesus defeated Satan when he was on his fast...WITH THE WORD OF GOD. Scriptures. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you some good ones.
Be kind to your friend. Maybe ask him if he minds if you can say a few words...and just speak blessings, a good week at work, favor in all his dealings, etc.
Don't reveal your warfare on his behalf. The Lord is our Intercessor and He's working out the details. Just stand on your scriptures with your most holy Faith. Expect a Miracle. Sing unto the Lord. Philippians 4:8
I don't think there's a verse that says those in Christ Jesus. You might be looking for Romans 8:28 which says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
The word good in this verse is the word AGATHOS which means spiritual good. Human good is Kalos. Spiritual good is Agathos. That makes a big difference because if I'm looking at it religiously, humanly, and on a horizontal physical plain, when it says "all things work together for good," that means in the human, God's going to work things out good for me in the human and in the flesh.
But in this verse, it is the word for spiritual good. Also, notice that it doesn't say all things are good. It says that all things are going to be worked out for the good.
What's good and bad in the human, that's our judgment system. To God, everything is good because He's doing everything. And when we have things "go wrong," in God's vocabulary, that's not even in there. "Lord, things are going wrong." To Him, everything is going right.
We know that all things work together for good, and look at the two descriptions of the people for whom everything is working out for the good. It is to those who love God, and to those who are called according to His purpose.
Why? Because everything's going to work out according to the will of God, so that when I do pray for the Lord's will to be done, I can know because this is a promise right from God that all things work together for the good.
John 4:23 is part of the presentation of the gospel to the Samaritan woman at the well. Keep in mind that the Samaritans were rejected by the Hebrew and Jewish people. They were considered to be half breeds, half Arabian, half Jewish. A Jewish person will not accept you as a Jewish person unless you are 100% Jewish. So Jesus is going through Samaria. Jews don't go through Samaria. That's unclean!
But Jesus begins to present the gospel to her and she seems to be questioning His authority. It's not until we get to verse 18 that the woman starts to realize something about Jesus. "Uh Oh, He knows everything about me." And then in verse 23, she begins a religious discussion with Jesus about worship.
But Jesus sets it straight in Verses 21-24 about worship, which are tremendous verses. The word worship here literally means to bow down and kiss the ring of somebody.
In other words, if you are coming into the presence of the king, you bow down, you get on your knee, and you kiss his ring. And then he will lift the scepter and you'll be able to talk. But you cannot until you express your submission and reverence.
True worship is submission. It is obedience. True worshipers worship God in spirit and in truth. And remember it means to bow down, to submit. Submitting to His truth and reverencing His truth is the highest form of worship.
Jesus quoted from Isaiah in one place and said, "Well did Isaiah say of you that you honor me with your lips but your heart is far from me." He says I get tired of you going and performing your religious vows and all your singing and whatever when your heart is not even lined up with what you're doing.
God looks on the heart, and man looks on the outward appearance. It is unacceptable to Him. God is Spirit. Everybody that gives genuine worship to God worships Him in Spirit. We are to surrender to His Spirit and to surrender to His truth. That is the highest form of worship!
Kind regards
