1 Corinthians 13 is the love chapter.
To enter into a relationship without Gods blessing, can be doomed because there is no commitment to God. They are doing it the way of the world. I often use Genesis 24, for young people looking for a perfect mate.
I would advise counseling for them.
And you need to bring this burden, or outrage, before the Lord, to be forgiven and walk in forgiveness, before the Lord.
You know Adam and Eve didn't have a big Church wedding. The Lord married them. Genesis 2:22 to Genesis 2:25.
We get better results when we pray for others. Cast all these cares upon the Lord, walk in peace and the Lord will sort out the details.
He does't consider OUR worthiness; he does all this for us, because of who HE IS.
He is faithful, not us.
Be steadfast in this TRUTH.
You don't have to do anything; whatever is needed in your life to bring you to the likeness of himself, he WILL CAUSE you to DO IT.
Philippians 2:13 For it is GOD that WORKETH IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO of his good pleasure.
Ezekiel 36:27 And I WILL put my Spirit within you, and CAUSE YOU to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgements, and DO THEM.
Rest in this TRUTH and life becomes really easy (even when it is hard).
And then read 1 John 1:9. Bend your knee and pray what that chapter is saying...from your heart.
You're not the only one who this has happened to.
Main thing to follow, is Jesus; His Bible. Get more and more of that in you. Be selective of things we all watch on media.
I've had 35 years to fall in love with the Holy Spirit. He's God; 3rd person of the Godhead. Had a part in creation of this world we live in. Every relationship is a process of getting to know each other. Not all is smooth sailing at first.
Read John chapters 14-17 and learn about the Comforter. Jesus went to the Cross to bring the Holy Spirit to us. The be inside. Reverence Him.
Thank You. I will look that up.
"And HE Said Unto me, MY GRACE Is Sufficient For thee: For MY Strength Is Made Perfect In weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that The Power Of CHRIST May Rest Upon me!" ( 2 Corinthians 12:9)
Or someone is healed at church and they say the same thing. Or someone speaks in tongues during praise, worship or corporate prayer.
I choose not to judge these things. We are to exercise righteous judgment. I had to learn not to judge. Whatever the Holy Spirit does is always to glorify Jesus.
You can Google
"grieve or quench the Holy Spirit, teaching"
And read the commentaries on it.
It's actually very serious and we all should look that up.
From the top leadership down to the people themselves, they have forgotten the blessings from God. Many times we believe the blessings from the Lord is of our own doing and therefore forget to thank God and worship Him, or to call on the Lord.
We must keep ourselves near to God by confessing our sins, reading, meditating, praising, worshipping, praying, and remembering His continued goodness. Then we must teach the same to our children less we allow anything to slip. God bless our nation and our leadership. August 2021
Jesus please help her to turn from her evil ways and be saved once again!
Thanks
God be with us all.
Maranatha!
I like to add to my reply being I don't think I covered all your concerns.
I didn't thoroughly read your post and it deserves a lot more than I given it.
My apologies.
I'm attempting to refresh your Post so some can go into greater debt.
I f not I will attempt to do so once I get home from work in a few hours
God bless.
The question still is: have I committed Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit by grieving the Holy Spirit?
I'm terrified.
Throw those cards in the trash!! They will be harmful to you!!
1 Timothy 2:5. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
10 vs 26. Is this speaking of a saved christian? What are the consequences if a christian continues in a particular sin, i.e. living together before marriage but claim to be saved!!!!
Being a born-again Christian means you do not have to go through anyone to talk to God. You don't have to read set prayers, though you can read them during your talks with God, and that is the keyword--talk. Talk to Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to you and just spill your heart to Jesus.
Pray for focus. That is, ask the Holy Spirit to keep your mind from straying during your daily devotions. Proverbs 4:25 "Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee." Keep it about Him, not your job, food, vacation, you get the idea.
Pray that God will help you to keep you walking in Christ. Romans 13:14 "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof." So that you will be presentable to him in--
Body
Tongue & Heart
Motives
Relationships
Finances
Attitude
Emotions
Ask Him to give you wisdom, strength, and determination to stand in the battle--temptation, persecution, etc--raging about you, to use all the armor and weapons--The Word, Faith, Trust--He has given you to their fullest extent. 2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Keep a prayer list of those people in your circle who need God's help. James 5:15 "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the LORD will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven."
Set times for morning and evening devotions, but follow 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "Pray without ceasing." How is that possible? Have you ever performed a task with the radio playing in the background? You can keep an open connection to talk to God as you go through your day.
And when you pray, forgive those who have wronged you. Matthew 6:14 "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
God bless you!
Luke a physician, one of the disciples, writing these words uses the word thick with people, obviously many! Enough to arouse the elite in govt and the church (synagogue).
Jesus is about to show what it means to be clean on the outside , filthy on the inside.
Christ has no man made manners. Not only does He not wash, but He calls His dinner guests fools filled with ravenous and wickedness! Then He says this,
Ye fools, did not He that made that which is without make that which is within?
Think about that for awhile. Will you find these words in your new bibles? The Son of God speaking this way! The Holy One from all eternity, speaking clearly enough for everyone to hear! Do you here Him! If you do not hear Him now, how will you ever hear Him!
Repent and be Baptized!
