Did the Aaronic Priests paid or give Tithes?
  • Cindy Renay - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Tinu,

Are you a born-again Christian? I ask because the condition of your immortal soul is the most important thing there is. The soul lives forever--in heaven if you are born again, or in hell if you have never taken Jesus as your personal Savior. Confess your sins to Jesus Christ, repent, and believe in your heart that he has saved you. He will give you a new heart and a new life in Him. Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

As for your love. Sometimes things happen or appear to be going to happen such as you losing your love of 20 years that is beyond our control. It's hard, but it may be that God has a plan that doesn't include her in your life. All you can do is ask God to send her back to you according to his will. 1 John Chapter 5:15-15 "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." But remember the part in this verse about asking anything according to his will.

    God bless you!

Hello!, I'm going to go ahead and give a disclaimer, I'm NOT a typist or a literary guru or an English major. I do have a couple of questions that I hope someone can clarify for me. Question 1; Biblically explain to me John 8;58 and John 14:8-9. Question 2; How should we be Baptized? In the name of titles?( Matt. 28;19)? or in the Name of Jesus, Acts;2;38, Acts 10;48,or Acts 19;1-6? Thank you for your time, In Christ, Gerald.

That reminds me of a verse 1 Timothy ch 4v1

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly , that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith , giving heed to seducing spirits , and doctrines of devils .

They where not grounded well and the devil took opportunity to deceive them .

If anyone thinks the devil is not a master of deception, beware many will be deceived and all those not written in the lambs book of life will be deceived by his unlimited magic . Look what the Antichrist is going to do in his appointed time . And it's been going on since Adam and Eve . The blood of Christ cleanses is from all sin and evil . And they over came the anti christ by the blood of the lamb . The blood of Christ is the only sure victory if you can lay hold of it . And it will keep the devil away . Jesus said I Am the door , and it's his blood shed for you that is the open door . Leave your sin and embrace the truth and love of God for you .

John 3.16 take it as a life and death message and get the victory people . The blood of Christ brings us to God cleansed from our sins and gives us true spiritual light to see what we could not see before .

The power of God is in the cross .

The spirit of error is being ensnared or under the power of evil even though using all the right words and doing what seems to be right in the eyes of the erroneous one .

This happens primarily by false teachings of others taken the same way . And the alarming thing is these are many not a few . These are dark and spiritual dangerous times . The word of God and prayer can not be underestimated. But they will preserve you from errors .

I believe you are correct, Art, if we are transliterate 'jealous' into a contemporary understanding. 'Zealous' would seem more appropriate depicting Paul's earnestness & zeal to protect his readers from the beguiling of Satan. Yet, if we consider the Greek understanding of that word, it seems to imply not only a fervent zeal but also a fervent love, or a 'boiling over of love & attachment'. So the strength of Paul's affection for & attention to the Corinthians seems to be understood by the use of such a word, that sadly might seem a little inappropriate to us today.

Hi Alex. Actually, I too was reading from Exodus 3:15: "And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."

My Bible tells me that God spoke to Moses & to tell the Israelites that it was He that sent Moses to them. And what was the Name that he should give them? Verse 14: "I AM". "I Am that I Am" is generally understood as 'God's Being as absolute, incomprehensible, unchanging & eternal'. And in case they couldn't grasp that Name, God confirmed that He was the same God, the God of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob.

What you read as 'God's Name is Abraham, Isaac & Jacob' because of the part of the verse that reads, "this is my name for ever", actually refers to God's Name being "I AM, Who IS the God OF Abraham, Isaac, & Jacob".

Then the rest of your belief of a "God, Son & Granson" (sic), or a "heavenly Granson which is the H.G. the Son that comes out of Christ loins", or "Christ is the one who IS GONNA sows that seed thus he is the father of the H.G." is irrelevant, erroneous, indeed bordering on blasphemy. Whoever or whatever has put such strange things in your mind needs to be rooted out & you need to re-read the Scriptures as given in a plain, intelligible manner & not trying to dig so deep for 'hidden' meanings thus making God's Holy Word infused with error & gibberish. May the Lord help us to read & understand His Word as He has plainly given to us.

Help me to know you in the depth of your Scripture. Though I do not deserve anything, you have chosen to bless me. May I learn to walk in the integrity of your holiness.

    Hi Osweid.

    King David love the Lord!!

    He had a repented heart.

Psalms 27:4-9. One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

And even though he had personal sin in his life he never caused Israel to sin.

1 Kings 15:5. Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.

His weaknesses was the same as ours,, he was only a Man. Only Jesus was perfect.

    God bless.

In Ex 3, God did not tell Moses his name was Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob but the God, or Elohim, of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. He told Moses to tell them Ayah Asher Ayah, I will be, sent him unto them meaning that he could manifest himself as anything he wanted to be. Then he told Moses that his name was Yahweh.

Caroline, first we must establish whether or not the "law" applied to you. If you were a natural born Jew or Israelite, then the law applied to you as the law or commandments were given to the Jew and the Jew only, for the Gentile had not the law ( ROM 2:14). Once that is determined, we then decide if the "law" applies in this day and time. We need to understand the purpose of the law. It was given to show that man needed a Savior. "For if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain" Gal 2:21. Where there is no law, sin is not imputed. Rom 5:21. But if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Gal 3:21. Christ came to fulfill the carnal or physical law and move it aside so that a new and more perfect law could be established. Matt 5:18.

God referred to himself as the husband and Israel as his bride or wife. So if the wife, Isreal, commits fornication, or goes to another God, as they did with the golden calf, let her remain either unmarried to God or return to God. If you are the true husband, or have that spirit of God within you, you will not put away you wife except for fornication with another god. Remember also, that there is a physical Isreal and a spiritual Isreal

GRACE, both the gospel ( Luke 17:21) and the mystery ( Romans 16:25) are answered in:

Colossians 1:26 Even the MYSTERY which hath been HID from AGES and GENERATIONS, but is NOW made manifest to HIS SAINTS.

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this MYSTERY among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory:

S Spenser we must have an understanding of when these things are being said an to whom they are said to. Jesus is speaking before his death, burial, and resurrection and he is speaking to the people of Israel, the only people the commandment law was given to. As a gentile, you were never subject to the law as it was given to the Jew and the Jew only. At the time of the writings of John, Jesus is telling Phillip and Judah that after his death, burial, and resurrection another Comforter will come and will teach them all things and bring all things to their remembrance. That Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, did come on the day of Pentecost and poured out its spirit. But after those days I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the one I made with their fathers when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. What we need to learn, know and understand is what that New Testament was.
  • Art on 2 Corinthians 11 - 4 years ago
In this passage, the word "jealous" should be more properly translated "zealous" as Paul is not envious of those at Corinth but is declaring his enthusiasm for the knowledge and understanding shown by those in Corinth but expresses his fear that Satan will beguile them before they receive the Holy Spirit. It is clear in verse in verse 2 that those to whom Paul is speaking have not yet received the Holy Spirit and are still susceptible to deception for Paul says in that verse "...that I MAY present you as a chaste virgin...", future tense.

It's great to know Fort Worth has a prayer warrior on call, there. I put in 23 years with DPS (non-commissioned). I live in Hutto/Round Rock area. Like you, in a nice Seniors only complex. There are many Christians living here. It's nice to see the parking lot full, Sunday afternoons with visiting children and their families.

If it's not too hot, a little troop takes some laps around with our coffee in hand. Sitting too much isn't good at all.

I posted a sign near the mailboxes with this websites google address, so they can visit on days when it's too hot to go outside.

In the fall, we start weekly Bible Studies in the Main Building. It's much like this comment room. We share things that we are studying in the Bible and then open it up for comments. No one shouts, :D. We just agree to study a bit deeper.

There isn't anyone leading the group. When the hour is up, we pray and Agee in prayer with those that have prayer requests. We're praying for salvations of children, people who are sick and can't get out, and everything in between. The hour goes real fast. People call each other during the week. Sometimes we meet at the gazebo to watch the sun set.

There's bingo, sewing group (they make things for people), people with dogs walk together sometimes. If anybody is out sitting on the front porch, you can just drop in a bit to visit and say howdy.

It just takes one disciple of Jesus to encourage others to join in. Some have gotten slick new scooters and they zip around all over the place.

I'm totally against people feeling separated and lonely because they are older and need "watching over". We can choose to be happier and share all that stored up wisdom with others. It feels strange at first but then that changes as we see others enjoying iced tea and giggles on the front porch.

Keep coming back. It helps us to pray with others as we see why others drop in here for conversation and sharing. Disagree and agree too. Sharpening iron :)

JERUSALEM, Israel - Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz warns that Iran is only 10 weeks away from acquiring enough material to make a nuclear bomb.

"Iran has violated all of the guidelines set in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JPCOA) and is only around 10 weeks away from acquiring weapons-grade materials necessary for a nuclear weapon," Gantz told ambassadors from countries on the UN Security Council during a briefing at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

"Now is the time for deeds - words are not enough," he added. "It is time for diplomatic, economic and even military deeds."

In 2015, Iran signed the JCPOA with the US, Russia, China, Germany, France and Britain. It severely restricted Iran's ability to enrich uranium in exchange for sanctions relief, but it allowed Tehran to continue pursuing its nuclear program for civilian purposes. Iran insists it is does not want to develop a nuclear bomb.

President Donald Trump unilaterally pulled out of the deal in 2018, criticizing clauses within it that would allow sanctions of Iran to be gradually lifted. Israel opposes the deal and says it fails to address Iran's threat to the region - like its ballistic missiles and militant proxies.

President Joe Biden wants to salvage the agreement to reign in Iran's nuclear ambitions, but negotiations in Vienna to restore the JCPOA have been suspended until Iran's new hardline president Ebrahim Raisi forms a new government later this month.

As Jesus said to us, "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem". This is the known Will of God for this time in history. We are The Church of Jesus Christ.

    Amen Brother Jesse.

    John 14:6.

And if I'm correct that truth shall be manifested into us. It should be his voice we hear with the open ear through other believers, Love, Humility and Meekness should keep us in union.

    John 14:16-26. And I will pray THE FATHER, AND HE SHALL GIVE YOU ANOTHER COMFORTER, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER;

EVEN THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH; WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECEIVE, BECAUSE IT SEETH HIM NOT, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and WE WILL COME UNTO HIM, AND MAKE OUR ABODE WITH HIM.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

BUT THE COMFORTER, WHICH IS THE HOLY GHOST, WHOM THE FATHER WILL SEND IN MY NAME, HE SHALL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    Thanks again and God bless.

    Amen and Amen, Brother Jesse:

The way, the truth and the life are a PERSON and because WE are His possession, His way, His truth, His Life. WE MUST DIE DAILY; until, ONLY HE REMAINS. He gave his life for us, we must lay down our life (first death), FOR HIS LIFE (first resurrection).

The angels are sons of God, as was Adam ( Job 38:7; Luke 3:38), by creation; Christians are the sons of God by adoption ( Rom. 8:14, 15); but Christ is the Son of God by birth.

Hi Oswald Davids weakness was pride he was King figured he can have anything in the Kingdom one slight problem God gave Him the Kingdom so when he did his sin with bathsheba and had her husband murdered God sent His prophet Nathan to straighten him out. His strength was how great of a walk he had with God even when Gods anointed Saul was screwed up David never said anything negative against Him and still gave Saul due respect. That's why God called David a man after His Own Heart. So many times before David went to battle you can read He would ask the lord should I go, just incredible education in attitude and heart of a man of God when he was right on. Also in the gospels many times when people saw Jesus Christ coming they would shout Son of David, David was also in the spiritual believing line. There is much more to this remarkable leader of Gods people to be learned. God Bless

Sister Maureen, Heaven is where GOD dwells.

    God dwells IN YOU.

Revelation calls it the New Heaven (Christ In You).

The words of God become more understandable when you BELIEVE you are HEAVEN.

And Satan was CAST OUT of HEAVEN (out of YOU).
