Dear Proscovia , we have all been where you are right now , please don't dispair , try to stay calm and think before you act , every thing will be ok , have patience and trust in your Saviour , the harder you lean on Him the more He will support you , don't fear any thing ,He is with you . Matth ch28 v20 , John ch16 especially v 33 and any Psalm , these are all a massive comfort to me , pray also , tell God how you feel , He already knows but it helps US when we pray , prayer is always good for us but we must be very honest when we pray , honest with ourselves and with our God . God loves our honesty , it isn't always pleasant but He wants us to trust Him and we show are faith by honest prayer . Our truth is some times unpleasant because we are all sinners but God is extremely mercyfull , the least we can do is be honest .

Hi Eric , I honestly can't answer your question for a certainty , I'm not a history expert , it seems to me that at the begining of the chapter Egypt is worshipping idols , false gods , and by the end of it they have turned to the One and Only Everlasting God Almighty , The Holy One of Israel , I think that that is the point of this prophesy .You are reading my favourite book in the Old Testament. It is full of historical events , some of them we can be sure we know about and some of them we are not so definate about . Please don't let that spoil your enjoyment of this awesome beautiful terrifying inspiring book . I truly love Isaiah . He ROCKS ! Enjoy .

    Deana,

Calling the US govt the beast would only serve as flattery. Even though the US emulates it, they stand in direct opposition to the beast. I wonder what tit for tat we will see from these 2 giants before they open a seal.

    S Spencer,

I hope there's room for more opinions.

Jesus' hid message is also for our time, and how the sixth trumpet is misunderstood until it's not ( Isaiah 13, Revelation 18).

Thy visitation = the day of the Lord attack upon God's people.

The last half of the week, suddenly becomes the great tribulation.

This is what Jesus warns about, what the people didn't see. His day of judgment.

Hello Alma. I was encouraged to read of your diligence in reading your Bible; it's always so enriching to learn valuable lessons from the Lord & to store the Word in your heart for those testing times.

I think that a small bookstand would help you to keep your Bible at the correct angle for reading & also give relief to your hands. Maybe a Bible bookstore, a general bookstore, or Walmart may have something suitable for you. Blessings sister.

    RLW,

Thank you so much for the clarification. As I said, I am not a math wizard by any means. They say that 3 out of 2 people are very bad at math, and I'm one of them. What you shared earlier did have me wondering why I was told years ago that this was the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem and his calculation came from adding those days from 445 BC. I do see how using a 365-day calendar would give us a completely different date than what we would get by using a Jewish calendar (360 days), which is what was used to come up with April 6, 32 AD.

I went online and in a search box, I typed in (445 BC plus 173880 days). One of the first websites that came up was a place called Christian Truth Center. I've never been to that site before so I can't say yea or nay on its trustworthiness. Maybe I'll take a look at it later (Lord willing).

But anyway, they come up with the same calculation that I had shared. Below is a copy/paste from their website:

"As prophesied, it was to take 438 years from the giving out of the commandment unto the coming of Messiah the Prince. Using the Jewish calendar of 360 days per year and multiplying by 483 years you get 173880 days. That is; 483 years x 360 days = 173880 days. Thus from the giving out of the command which was on March 14 445 BC plus 173880 days you get the exact day when Messiah the Prince was to come. This was on April 6th 32 AD.

On April 6th 32 AD, Jesus came to Jerusalem riding on a donkey to shouts of 'Hosanna'. It was the only day Jesus permitted his followers to publicly declare Him the King of Israel fulfilling Daniel's prophecy to the day.

Thank you for the conversation, very interesting indeed!

    Brother Jesse.

Here's what I believe When Jesus finally ALLOWED them to present him as KING!!

Genesis 49:10-11. THE SCEPTER shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until SHILO come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

( BINDING HIS FOAL UNTO THE VINE, and HIS ASS'S COLT UNTO THE CHOICE VINE; )he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:

Zechariah 9:9. Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy "KING" cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Daniel 9:25. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the MESSIAH THE PRINCE shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

    God bless

Hi Eric. Isaiah 19:1-15. Has been fulfilled, and still being fulfilled till this day. And you are right, It's not talking about the time when Moses led Israel out of Egypt,

Verses 16 on I believe is future.

    Jesse,

    Thanks for your kind reply,

Just to be clear my calculations and my study has nothing to do with when Jesus rode into Jerusalem. When Jesus rode into Jerusalem has no significance to the prophecy given to Daniel except it was five days from when He was cut off (crucified).

The main reason I replied was to show that one hundred seventy-three thousand eight hundred and eighty days from 445 B.C. will not get to 32 A.D. it is at least two years short. If that is true, what then, what will that change?

Thanks again Jesse for what you do, may we walk in the Spirit of truth.

    Amen Browning.

The sad thing is, it's amazing how the unregenerated flesh can adapt to Chaos.

Some supposedly run to the Lord for cover but never committed and turn back to the World.

    HI Brother Jesse.

I also have it as you said, as the day Christ came in on the donkey, The important thing is It was prophesied as 69 weeks and confirmed by the days given as tho it was meant to be counted!!

And it seems they were held accountable for not knowing!!

Luke 19:41-44. And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

Saying, IF THOU HADST KNOWN, EVEN THOU, AT LEAST IN ( THIS THY DAY, )THE THINGS WHICH BELONG UNTO THY PEACE! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

They should have known by the information given in Daniel.

Everything about the 69th weeks was fulfilled TO THE DAY!! So the details in the 7th week will be fulfilled as accurate.

    God bless.
  • ETERNAL CHOICES and COVID VACCINES - In Reply on Revelation 13:16 - 4 years ago
I don't think you got the Mark, getting a vaccination. I asked the Lord many years ago about how the mark will be given.

It's not going to be accidental. You'll be given a choice. The Mark, or Death.

The Mark guarantees us eternity in hell (at the end).

So maybe when you were a teenager and thought it would be cool to wear black robes and attend orgies, black mass's, etc.

Now is a good time to read Isaiah 1:18-20. Only the Blood of Jesus can cleanse that off of you.

We aren't going to be able to chop off our hands and remove the Mark of the Beast.

Pride is a sin that the Bible says God hates. Take His Son, Jesus instead. Your reward will be eternal Life. Don't allow Pride to rob you.

Everyone is going to bow their knee to the NAME OF JESUS. Either it will be with Joy everlasting; or with the pain of eternal Separation.

    Who will you choose?

Covid shots have nothing to do with this. Just be glad you don't live in Texas with Thousands of people who have Covid, crossing your borders DAILY.

Why? Because Biden, Beto and Kamala hate Our Governor and Jesus Christ. See guys? We are in the Last Days!

Figure out what you're gonna do about Jesus, and then DO IT. Now!!

The mark of the beast is simply worshiping satin when he returns as the anti - Christ , but is saying he is Jesus, acting like Jesus, an standing in the holy place playing Jesus , an his act will be very convincing,.. an my frens many shall be fooled, an will follow , an that is taking on the mark of the beast ,.. an remember, he also has all the fallen angels,.. so there's gonna be the biggest tent revival this world has ever seen .
  • Fred - In Reply on Revelation 13:16 - 4 years ago
I suppose if what we are experiencing are the beginning of sorrows, the old testament is full of evidence that God is judging us! If repentance comes and a nation or people seeks God, perhaps the days will be lengthened. We have a free will to decide what the future holds, as of right now ,I see little if any of repentance.

Billy Graham, could fill a stadium and have the place excepting the Lord Jesus! He preached the gospel. The good news. Man is sinful and separated from God! He Must receive the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved from sin and hell! The message we see now is an unthankful people unaware of the condition they are in! These will die in their sin. Yes, man will be judged either here now, or in eternity! O foolish people who hath be witched you! Judging from what I read, and see "it is at the doors". Repent ad be baptized!

Freedom of speech is dwindling, I think as long as we have this site, this could eventually be our fellowship in the truth! Does your preacher teach the love of Christ? Does he teach the forgiveness of sins through faith in the shed blood. The redemption from sin and hell found in His sacrifice at the cross! Some think they need to fill 40 minutes and will say anything! Real pastors are those that believe the word of God! Studying to show themselves approved before the Lord. We need pastors now more than ever, to preach the gospel, while not judging or condemning. Putting Christ first in all things!

Dear Christian, likely Satan is trying in these last days to add doubts amongst those whom profess Christianity. Jesus is the Truth and there are many who want to steal that Truth unto themselves. Keep His peace.

  • Joel 3 Commentary - 4 years ago
Matthew Henry Commentary on Joel 3

God's judgments in the latter days. (1-8) The extent of these judgments. (9-17) The blessings the church shall enjoy. (18-21)1-8 The restoration of the Jews, and the final victory of true religion over all opposers, appear to be here foretold. The contempt and scorn with which the Jews have often been treated as a people, and the little value set upon them, are noticed. None ever hardened his heart against God or his church, and prospered long.

9-17 Here is a challenge to all the enemies of God's people. There is no escaping God's judgments; hardened sinners, in that day of wrath, shall be cut off from all comfort and joy. Most of the prophets foretell the same final victory of the church of God over all that oppose it. To the wicked it will be a terrible day, but to the righteous it will be a joyful day. What cause have those who possess an interest in Christ, to glory in their Strength and their Redeemer! The acceptable year of the Lord, a day of such great favour to some, will be a day of remarkable vengeance to others: let every one that is out of Christ awake, and flee from the wrath to come.

18-21 There shall be abundant Divine influences, and the gospel will spread speedily into the remotest corners of the earth. These events are predicted under significant emblems; there is a day coming, when every thing amiss shall be amended. The fountain of this plenty is in the house of God, whence the streams take rise. Christ is this Fountain; his sufferings, merit, and grace, cleanse, refresh, and make fruitful. Gospel grace, flowing from Christ, shall reach to the Gentile world, to the most remote regions, and make them abound in fruits of righteousness; and from the house of the Lord above, from his heavenly temple, flows all the good we daily taste, and hope to enjoy eternally.

    Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.
