Dwight My understanding in the context if two people are married and don't believe but one of them gets born again and the other decides to leave the believer is not held accountable. On the other hand one can get born again and the other stays verses 13 +14. Divorce is not Gods Will.

I've heard it said by radio preachers that on the day Jesus Rode in to town on the baby donkey was on April 6th. Is it in scripture

    Hey Fred,

I understand, there is an old expression "into the weeds", it is used in different ways with different meanings. Sometimes when we get off the beaten path and into the weeds and examine details we mostly look over, our eyes and ears open to the Holy Spirit and strengthens our faith and shines a light on things that lead to better understandings.

God sometimes uses the least to make the largest impact, like Paul, he considered himself the least of the apostles.

It is a pretty good guess Paul was dehydrated, he had no food or water for three days. Without water for three days in that country, he was probably about ready to give up the ghost, but he was praying. He possibly looked like a wilted flower on a hot July day.

Ananias knew what kind of man Saul/Paul was and he was probably thinking I don't know about this, Saul/Paul has the authority to lock us all up. But Jesus assured Ananias He was in control and Saul/Paul was chosen to do His purpose and bear His name before the Gentiles. Ananias probably said, thank you Lord, ok, let's do it.

May we walk in the Holy Spirit of truth,

    RLW

Christianity I do not believe is a religion its a Father taking care of the family he called out of the darkness of this world.

I can't disagree with anything you have said. America being the melting pot presents it's own problems. As I recall, the Lord is not too keen with the concept of mingling and for good reason. Every time they mingled they ended up worshiping idols and hearkening to Baal. And there was great shock and misery as a result of God's wrath. I believe the world has fallen in such a way. There is no question in my mind that the world is under judgement.

Most people feel and have been told that Gog/Magog are Russia. I don't really believe this as my other responses indicated. That said, I feel that Russia along with many nations will comprise Satan's army at Armageddon.

Jesse Scripture in Romans 7:14-25 Paul by revelation gave a really good summation that we all deal with, thank God there's a day coming when we will be released from this body of death.

  • James Reardon - In Reply on Revelation 1 - 4 years ago
    Chris,

Not so, KJV has accounts of "Jehovah" being used:

    Psalms 83:18

That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.

    Isaiah 12:2

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

    Exodus 6:3

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

    Isaiah 26:4

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

    Dear Vera,

It is most certainly God's will that you and all of us work if we are physically and mentally able. He even put Adam to work in the Garden of Eden Genesis 2:15 - "And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it." And when Adam and Eve sinned, God put Adam to work as a farmer as is evident in Genesis 3:17-19 "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." And so man began to work, and God has intended all of us to work. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

The point is, in that He wants you to work, he will help you find a job, but you must get out there and hunt for one.

    God bless.

Phillip Paul in the epistles addresses the believers as saints those God separated out of the darkness of this world and into the glorious gospel of redemption and salvation. We are called this in all the church epistles, I'll believe what God Says

Glenn I've always considered religion as mans way of getting to God works ,works, works, Jesus Christ was God way of Getting the Family a Father wanted Grace,Grace,Grace. It's interesting that the first time in the scripture that God is called a Father is by Jesus Christ, from what i've seen. Best definition I've ever heard of grace was divine unmerited favour God to man.

That was a very good observation, TJ. I never picked up on it before. Looking at the Hebrew for both 'blemish' & 'spot', it shows up as exactly the same word, whereas, as you observed, in 1 Peter 1:19, two different Greek words are used.

Others may have a better answer, but I would think that in 1 Peter 1:19, they are separate words found & used in Greek, whereas the Hebrew has the one word that covers 'blemish, spot, defect'. It would be difficult to find much difference between those words & therefore it wouldn't raise an issue in my understanding.

The holy spirit has no parameters. Even so sister in Christ! The blessed assurance we have in these last days, while the spirit moves even upon an unbelieving world. God Bless while you seek Him, finding consolation in the love of Christ.

Do u think Paul had suffered from dehydration? I do think asking the speculative question helps to confirm my faith. I helps understand the works of God? How he works using his creation and the conscience of man to achieve His outcome . It is ok to be the devils advocate? Ananias, must had heard He was on His way, after all, Paul was slaughtering people! The holy spirit spoke to Ananias, Ananias saw this as an opportunity to convert this man and give peace to the church. Love the KJV!

Hi Vivnce. As Adam as shared the link, you will find that the Name Jehovah does appear in the KJV. However, I think what you might be referring to is that the JW Bible (New World Translation) shows "Jehovah God", when our KJV shows it as "LORD God".

So if you look at this example: Genesis 2:4 in the KJV: "These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens", then in their NWT Bible, it will read as, "This is a history of the heavens and the earth in the time they were created, in the day that Jehovah God made earth and heaven."

Maybe this is what the JW you spoke to was referring about this change. They use 'Jehovah', & we have it as 'LORD' (in capitals), though 'Jehovah' does appear as a word four times in the Old Testament of the KJV.

I always bless the Mayo bottle before I open it.

At least once a day if not more, I remind Satan and his demons WHERE they are going.

Jesus never talked to them. He just said GO! Once he did ask one it's name (Legion). He knew. He just wanted them to know they were all about to be surfing the dunes on the planet Mars.

I'll tell this one testimony. I got home from Sunday night church, was getting ready for bed. The ceilings were 12 feet high. I looked over inside the closet, and there was a vision of a demon standing in it. It was 10ft tall and wide as a deep freeze. It looked like compacted roots It was trying to scare me! I rebuked it by the power and authority of Jesus's Name, and said LEAVE! It left. I had never seen one manifest.

They have no right to trouble a child of the living God. Jesus showed us how to respond. That's why we memorize scripture. IT IS WRITTEN_____________ IN JESUS NAME.

I'll keep telling this to everyone: Angels hearken to the spoken word of God; whether it be a radio ministry program or just some nice praise music. :D

    Make a joyful sound!
