Brother I agree all the miracles are in the category of the senses it is spirit power that enables the ability. Forgive me if I'm not understanding you correctly. We see the effect of the operation of the God given ability but not the source, that's the manifestation of Pneuma Hagion or Holy Spirit. God Bless

I know we will know everyone in Heaven. My question is, "Will I know my mom as being my mom on earth and or will we have a special bond with her or will I just know her as Dolores and my love for her will be the same as everyone else, without a special bond."

Our motivation is love of God agapeo for others thanks to the love we were given in Christ the unbelievers sole purpose is self motivated by false pride and fear. Epistle of 1 John 4:13-21. God Bless Our purpose motivate by Love. His goal manipulate with fear. We conqueror with the LOVE OF GOD manifested in our walk and talk. God Bless.

Sister Dianne, may CHRIST IN US grace us with HIS wisdom and HIS understanding.

    I'm intruding into your's and S Spencer's discussion:

I BELIEVE Jesus (first coming in the flesh) and his apostles were given power to perform miracles that could be seen in the flesh. Raising the dead, making the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk.

FIRST the natural (seen), then (second) the SPIRITUAL (unseen):

I BELIEVE Jesus (the second coming in the HOLY SPIRIT) in his SAINTS, are given this same power; but the Spirit performing these miracles through the labour of his SAINTS, CANNOT be seen. Raising the dead (in trespasses and making them alive in Christ, making the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame walk.

Same POWER, SAME MIRACLE, one can be seen (in flesh), the other can't be seen (in Spirit).

Food for thought, the Spirit reveals.

    Derek,

We are all aware of what's going on, we don't need to hear it again. How do you stop such a force that's meant to be? Have you organized to squash these ills where you live? Writing about history is easy, making history takes guts.

    Brother Spencer,

Your statement on John 14:12 was perfect, Amen!

Verily, verily, I say unto you, and any time we see the words "verily, verily, it means establishment of a spiritual truth. He that believeth on me, literally INTO ME, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

The term "greater," because there's many different views as to what greater means, and a lot of people want it mean greater works in that you will do more than what Jesus did. It is called the genitive of quantity, not genitive of quality because there is no such thing. It is called the genitive of quantity.

In other words, more greater works in the sense of there will be more of them because God at that time was limited and located in the person of Jesus Christ, but when Jesus leaves and sends His Spirit, His Spirit will now indwell all of His people.

And Jesus will be working through His people, thousands, millions of them all over the world, genitive of quantity.

There are many descriptions and references in God word to describe the devil or the adversary, serpent and many others the reason is to bring attention to us the knowledge of the position, function and attributes or nature of our enemy so as the apostle paul said so we are not ignorant of his devices. Jesus Christ summed him up Steal Kill and Destroy. Thank God he was beaten by Our Saviour. God Bless

Beware of the devil prowling like a lion seeking to devour you: 1 Peter 5:8.

Satan is the father of lies: John 8:44

In this world if you turn on the TV news you will hear many lies- nearly everything said is a lie. The 'father of lies' could be behind this strong delusion and God allows people to be deceived. 2 Thessalonians 2:11. I see some even prefer the lie, seek the lie, crave and almost lust after the lies. It's hard to believe this is unfolding right now.

People just don't agree on what the truth is in almost any situation. 1 + 1 = 5 to some people. We have unprecedented oppression and denial of human rights right now in the world. There are many preventable deaths and grave injustices occurring daily. People have made their political views their religion and false god. They worship the government and its leaders, while they slander Jesus and attack conservative Christian values. People keep justifying sin in their own mind like satan whispering in their ear what to believe, even murder, even mass murder. No sin seems to be off limits to someone following the father of lies. Some even call themselves Christians while supporting the mass murder of babies.

But all the justifications for sin end up being the same: it's not that bad. It's my right. Everyone's doing it. If I didn't do it, someone else will. It's not what you say it is. No one will ever know. What they don't know won't hurt them. What happens here stays here.

All clever ways satan deceives you into harming others and yourself. It's as though people are digging tunnel to hell.

People desperately need Jesus. Everyone will burn to hell without Him. Some people need to wake up and some need to be scared for their soul. This life is a test and most are failing miserably.

Pray for this world. Pray for healing. Pray that some will open their eyes and finally be able to see the truth.

It is possible that Gog is Russia but not exactly. If one follows the linage of Japheth you will find that Japheth begat Magog. Here is the mystery. Magog and I believe Gomer settled in what is now the Caucasus (Caucasian) mountains on the southern tip of Russia. And there is a lot of evidence that it was Magog via his family including his father, that are responsible for the concept and lineage of the Arian group of people. Also don't forget that Gomer, Japheth's brother begat Ashkenaz as in Ashkenazi Jews... You know them by their fruits and Jesus refers to them often ("...and I know the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan") .There is also pretty solid information that this was the origin of the Jesuits as well who have taken over most all nations. It is written that this family was so powerful it literally took over Europe and the Americas. Like it or not, this is the family who had originated the concept and the practice of white superiority. At present this bloodline is the most powerful of elitists in the world. So, is God/Magog really Russia? I don't think so. It comprises most, if not all, the elitists of the present day world, yes including Putin. And as you see from events in the Middle East, especially, the persecution of Israel, this is a coordinated effort brought forth from the 10 horns, the EU - Maygog. I would be more concerned about the "dragon kings of the east" as explained in 2 Esdras 15:29, who team with Elam (Iran) to attack Israel which will spill the world into war and make ripe the revealing of the Antichrist. As you may have noticed recently, China and Iran have entered into a 25 year pact touted as a economic agreement, but there's more, that I am sure of. "Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known." Matthew 10:26.

Glenn The greatest challenge in the field of Biblical knowledge and research will be getting to what was oridinally written and mean't. You will find equally intelligent theologians and scholars and ministers believing different things about the same subject matter. This is the source of denominations. I've observed it for years and its very educational.

S Spencer This is not to disagree my question is do you believe that what Jesus Christ said there was just for the disciples only or for anyone who believes in Him after receiving The Gift of Holy Spirit from God.
  • Ronald L Whittemore - In Reply on Acts 15 - 4 years ago
    Hey Fred,

Not sure why the reply, the post was on Acts 15. I agree the law was the schoolmaster and now that we have faith in our savior Jesus we are no longer under the schoolmaster. I agree the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, His blood cleanses us from sin and it is by the grace of God. Being saved by His life, the resurrection from the dead, we by faith, with the Spirit, the down payment, we will be raised incorruptible at His coming.

We are not justified by works of the law, we are justified by faith in Jesus and the Spirit of God. Any works done is done by our faith in Jesus, He died for us, was buried, rose from the grave, now sets on the right side of the Father and is the only mediator between God and us, not by the flesh we are housed with.

    God bless,

    RLW

I was saved and Baptized as a young child! I was raised in some good and bad situation. Mom and dad divorced around me being 2 years old. But when I saw the light of Jesus the warmth glow of the Holy Spirit 1981, married, had my first two little boys! I walked the isle in repentance fell upon my knees to be washed by the blood of Jesus! Saved that day praising my savior. Do I fall? Yes. But I truly baptized, in the Father! Son! And Holy Spirit! Born again child of God I thank him for saving a wretch like me! So unworthy! Of his mercy and gracewithout Christ you are nothing. With Christ you have life! joy! Hope! Through Christ all things are possible. Do you have a friend that works with you in the mountain tops as well as the valley! he never will leave you! I will never forget the Calm assurance, bright glow, weight lifting, loving experience, of salvation! Building on a fruitful life of Jesus! Seek Christ today ! Grow in His word! God bless you

Leroy I don't see in the bible where satan was ordained to that position but I do see where he stole it, Gen. 3:1-6 which is where Adam and Eve were tricked the power and authority was given him. Look at Luke 4:5+6. Also Jesus Christ in John 10:9 summoned up the adversaries intentions, steal kill destroy. Then the deliverance our Saviour next verse I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.

Erica - 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Acts Chapter 9 will tell you very plain that the words spoken unto us by his Apostles & Paul were from Jesus. His command to them was preach the WORD (Jesus) all of which are direct instructions.

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.

The New Testament is written by Holy men that followed Jesus while he was here. Paul as one born out of time spent time with Jesus and was told what he must do and say, not what he wanted at times but was obedient.

    Dear Kim,

Keep yourself clothed in Christ so that everything in your life is presentable to the Lord. Romans 13:14 "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof."

Pray. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Stay the course no matter what happens or what your emotions are Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

    God bless you!

    Dear Debbie,

Ever heard the saying, "You can lead a horse to water, but you force them to drink'? That is your situation with your family. What to do to win them to the Lord. Live your life in Christ Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

    1. Submit to the LORD as an example of a sister in Christ's proper behavior and relationship with the Lord.

    2. Joyfully and lovingly serve your husband--if you have one--and your family, community.

    3. Use respectful dialogue when engaging them.

    4. Invite them to church, but if they flat out refuses to attend, whatever you do, don't nag them about going. If they do attend, don't push them to go to the alter. In other words, let the Holy Spirit do the convicting and prompting for that's His job.

    5. Ask God to send born-again people their way so that they can see Christ in them too. And remember two things. One, no matter how negatively they react, you don't what the seeds you and others have planted in their heart. Pray that those seeds have fallen on fertile ground. Two, don't give up. Some people pray for years before their loved ones come to Christ.
