  • Take no thought - 4 years ago
It is extremely important that we don't misuse or alter the Word of God . Genesis Ch2 V16&17 . In the KJV RV thou shalt surely die is translated as : dying thou shalt die , this is worthy of investigation but it's not where I'm going right now . Then we go to Ch3 V3 ,Eve's response : neither shall ye touch it , lest ye die . Why did Eve believe this to be so ? Adam must have said this to her , he added to God's word , when Eve touched the fruit and didn't die that must have made her doubt what Adam had said to her , God didn't tell Eve not to eat the fruit or touch it ,Adam did and he added to God's Word ,therefore giving the serpent a foot in the door to beguile Eve , when we misuse the Word of God we can give occasion to the serpent , to beguile others and maybe even ourselves . What would the world be like now if Adam hadn't said to Eve : neither shall ye touch it , lest ye die ? It's an earth changing moment . Later on in V12 of Ch3 ,Adam has the affrontary to try and blame God for creating Eve ! Eve in V13 gives a straight forward and honest account of what happened and her confession is an honest one .

Hello! Sorry to hear about your husband. Matthew 4:24 "And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them."

First, if he hasn't already, he needs to go to the doctor for antibiotics and ear drops. Second, here's something that relieved my pain when I had a toothache. I got it from a woman who used it for her little boy when he had the earache.

    1. Wet a washcloth in super hot water and wring it out.

    2. Put the washcloth in a mug and then put the mug in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds

    3. Have your husband put the cup near or over his ear, being careful not to let the hot washcloth touch his skin. This will relieve the pain and drain the pus inside the ear.

    4. Repeat until the earache is gone.

Remember, this home remedy is not to be used in place of going to the doctor for infection can linger without pain and lead to worse conditions.

    God bless.

In the flesh I have nothing good to offer my Lord. But the Scriptures show, guide, and remind me my shorts comings in order for me to be "right" before God.

I can under stand David's reluctance to correct Absalom for his actions. Maybe David believes that time will heal everything. Provers 29:15. Not realizing that in- action does not solve anything and makes it more difficult to correct future situations.

Because of our in-action in the past we have lost the privilege to pray, and read the Bible in our school and in public places. We are not allowed to invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ or quote Scripture in the public arena. Copies of the Ten Commandments can not be displayed in Public areas. Nativity scenes have been banned in many public areas.

In times past, our halls of justice and legislature echoed the Words of wisdom of our God in prayer in speeches, and discussions.

However, our God promises a return of His glory, and healing if we call on Him, 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15. Malachi 4:2; Matthew 9:35

Let us go forward as an Army of the Lord, in loving kindness reaching to all who are in need. 1 Corinthians 13 : 1-7.

God bless all the brethren in this time of affliction as we await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    July 2021.

    Dianne,

I don't need help or consultation, no, I love bringing out the truth, seeing what wilts in sunlight. I posted this so proud, stubborn doubters would see how wrong it is to suspend logic. I love God, but I'm not taking a fall for his slack writers.

Otherwise, I'm doing great, enjoying my time, sitting here drinking my coffee.

    Hi Dianne.

She never said anything about being Atheist. In fact She said God is perfect Men Is not. The attack is on the word of God, We're not the only ones who visit this site. What happens if a Kid or young Adult who haven't made his mind up yet get a load of that and no one is willing to rebuke her. The scripture tells us too, in fact a big part of Revelation Ch 2 the Church is found to be at fault for the things we suffer to enter the Church. And also what doctrine and deeds ect.. This is our responsibility to flock.

Acts 20:28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

    1 Peter 5:2. Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;

The very thing that's beeing attacked is what it takes to reprove her.

2 Timothy 3:16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

It not about condemning her it's about getting her to know this is against God.

And yes this is a commentary but it's where we search for truth and Jesus is and should be Lord over this Commentary

This shouldn't be where you get that kind of freedom of speech.

We shouldnt play by the world rules in our Christian community. Satan is prince of this world and Christ is Lord over his Church. and an attack on the Head of the Church is an attack on the body. So yes it is against me. And it's against the Gospel because the Gospel is the word of God.

And the commotion is not triggered by the material she presented but the intent behind it.

This is the official king James website that offers the word of God. you don't get on it by accident.

    God bless.

  • S Spencer - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Hi Mishael.

    Apology is accepted.

She may not be atheist but what's done by her is certainly not inspired by the Holyspirit. And I'm I'm not challenging her claim but what's in question is her intent.

Satan deceived Eve by twisting the word of God, And he's still in that business!!

    God bless.

    Anderson,

The author of this letter is Judas, the brother of James, and half-brother to the Lord Jesus. Jude's letter is specifically written to believing Jews as it refers to the Old Testament scriptures and the Jewish historical books. Jude was written around 70 A.D. from Jerusalem. It is believed that Jude was written about 3 or 4 years after Peter's second letter.

Peter wrote his second letter around 66-67 A.D., right before his death. He warned of the false teachers which would be coming in the future. That's in 2 Peter. Jude wrote his letter in the Present Tense indicating that the false teachers that Peter warned about were now present in the Church.

    Kipyegon Gilbert,

God views wisdom differently than we do. In addition to the scriptures shared by Dianne, I would like to also draw your attention to 1 Corinthians 1:27 which says "But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;"

How should that make us feel? God looked out to the human race, and He chose Paul for salvation and Paul said that he was the "Chiefest of sinners." He's a candidate. He's a candidate for salvation. You see, the wisdom of the world is full of all its philosophies and religious beliefs, and intellectual thoughts, but God says I can't use somebody like that.

God chooses the foolish things of the world, people who are not born into nobility and really don't have much status in the world, so that people will look at them and say "Oh, you're one of those foolish people because you believe in Jesus Christ. You need a crutch. Religion is a crutch. It's Foolish!"

Heavenly wisdom, or the wisdom of God would be seeing life the way God sees life. God calls the wisdom of the world, the wise (human wisdom) foolish things.

If I misread your post, I apologize to you with great sorrow.

I know some atheists and it greatly hurts my heart that they choose to go to hell, because they don't believe in it. Got one of those in my family and at the top of my prayer list.

I pray and pray and pray, lay in the floor and beg God through tears.

    Forgive me.
  • ADDING OR TAKING AWAY SCRIPTURES equals DEATH PENALTY - In Reply - 4 years ago
    Spencer,

First off, I can hardly believe your reply. You are standing on SAND my friend.

We DO NOT HAVE Gods permission to edit or delete any portion of the Bible. SEE PROOF:

    Revelation 22

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the BOOK OF LIFE, and OUT of the holy city, and from THE THINGS which are written in this book.

**That is a passage to write down on an index card and tape it at eye level, on your refrigerator.

I had a Pastor that once said: If you never run into the Devil and his operatives, the Demons; YOU'RE PROBABLY WALKING ALONGSIDE WITH HIM.

They hate Jesus, and they hate Jesus's Followers.

A Christian that takes Ephesians 6, to heart; makes them WISE in God's eyes. Trouble will rain down on your house, and it takes more than "Jesus Loves Me" to scatter those evil beings into outer darkness.

Apostle Paul was shipwrecked in a storm, gets to land on broken pieces of wood with other sailors. It's freezing so they start a fire. A (snake) Adder, crawls out of the fire and bites Paul. It's a very deadly snake venom. Everybody is waiting for Paul to fall over dead. "No deadly thing..scripture"

Satan tried to kill Paul and start a party on the beach.

Point is, Jesus clearly taught us, attempts can be made against our life, by the Devil. To teach others spiritual warfare is "just Old Testament" and not relevant anymore; is heresy.

Anything written in the Bible is relevant in any time period. Teachers of untruth bear the full weight of condemnation for doing so. Don't expose sheep and baby lambs to wolves, hirelings, or false teaching; false prophesy.

Christians: know what that Bible says, yourself !!

YOU prove things said, True or False.

    Dianne,

It is interesting that you say that because we see that even today, especially with the health, wealth, and prosperity teachers. They see a believer struggling with hardship and they say that God is not blessing them or that they do not have enough faith. But you are correct. I did some study several years ago on Jewish culture back in that time frame and that was their way of thinking. They believed that if you were wealthy and in perfect health, that you were truly blessed by God. Well, Paul was a mess! He had health issues, problems with his eyesight, and boils all over his body, shipwrecked, beaten, and spent time in prison. He was not a pretty sight to look at. The way the Jewish leaders saw it was that there was no way that Paul was a man of God because how could he go through so much hardship and struggle in his life if God was blessing him? It's sad that there are still people who believe this way today!
