Very interesting! It does seem as though there's a contradiction there. Definitely one I never caught, not that I look for contradictions because I trust God's word, but I do realize that men can make mistakes. The great thing about it is that when we find something that is in contradiction, the answer can usually be found in scripture. In this case, the one you are sharing, we can figure out which age we should go with, because they can't both be correct, right?
Was he 22 or was he 42?
I'm going with 22, and here's why. If you go to 2 Kings chapter 8 Verse 17, it tells us that Ahaziah's father Joram was 32 years old when he became king. He died 8 years later at the age of 40. Guess who took the throne after Joram died at age 40? His son Ahaziah took the throne according to the bible. I'm not too good at math, but I think I can figure this one out. If king Joram died at age 40 and his son took the throne after his death, he could not have been 42 or he would have been older that his dad, and that don't work unless you're from Arkansas! (Dear Lord, I hope no one from Arakansas is reading this!!!). So I think it is safe to say that his age was 22, not 42.
I chose to answer you because you seem sincere. Someone else listed a whole slew of "contradictions" but never asked for help figuring them out. I'm not too sure what their motive was. But I believe we can find the answer to every supposed contradiction in the bible from the bible itself!
Revelation 20:14 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Matthew 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to a brother or sister, 'Raca,' is answerable to the court. And anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell." That hell fire is God's light, taking darkness away forever. Wicked see that light as vengeance - wrath. Hebrews 12:29 "For our God is a consuming fire." James 1:17
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." Malachi 4:3 "And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts." No one will see God as the fires of hell, when death is no more. Revelation 20:5 "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. They are the wicked. I am working on reducing that number. The size of the lake of fire depends on the number of lost people and souls. There will be a lake of fire. Fallen angels will be destroyed." Eternal torment, made people to make tormenting laws against people. God says fear not, don't be afraid, and don't worry through people, and in person. Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the LORD God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye. The saved will have charity, being prefect, not being offended by what is seen, being peaceful. 1 Corinthians 13: 4 - 7, KJV. Giving unto the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house has nothing to do with the giving of money.
I think I'm agreeing with what you're saying if I'm understanding you correctly. I was "racking my brain" trying to figure out what "Hog good" meant but I figured out that you meant to say (how good) the true God is. You are telling me that "Suicide is not of The Will of the True God," and I agree with you completely on that. But what I am wondering about is if you're telling me that based on something I said in my post? I re-read what I typed and I said "I don't think God satisfaction in a person taking their own life." Were you responding to that? If so, I agree, that doesn't make any sense at all! What it was supposed to say is "I don't think God (takes any) satisfaction in a person taking their own life."
That's what I get for not proofreading before hitting the submit button. I'm such a nerd!
Revelation 20:8 says that Satan shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. So we're talking millions of people.
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, meaning the entire earth.
Gog and Magog, we call it May-gog in English, but it is pronounced Mah-gog. Gog is the word that the Jews use for all people who are the enemies of Israel. This is all taken from imagery in Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39. In that picture, the kings of the east will come through the dried up Euphrates River and attack God's people. Magog is the god, or idol of Gog.
There may be minor error in the text some is because of translation, I can give you an often used verse that's not in the original, But the verse is correct and doesn't change the narrative. The truth is not compromised!! You can discard John 3:16. out the bible and the remaining scripture will cover for it. God message is spread a little hear a little there, line upon line. The Holyspirit have his way of bringing out truth if he had only one word remaining!!! The rocks will cry out. Balaams donkey spoke!! God is not depending Mans faithfulness to do anything!!
Besides we say he Loves us, We say he's all knowing, We're saved by grace through faith and faith comes by hearing the word.
Why would loving God stand by and watch little feeble man derail his Whole program!!
If so Satan wins.
Every thing I mentioned is being attacked.
We know we wrestle not against flesh and blood but what's behind it. She need to Know that too. We are to take a stand!
Jesus says in Matthew 12:30. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
You can't be with the Lord and attack hi word by which we gather.
She must turn from such attacks and ask God for forgiveness.
God bless.
As Brother Jesse said I believe a verse to consider is Revelation 19:8.
Garments is often used as an idiom for our righteousness. In Revelation the Lord clothes us with Revelation 3:4-5. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 3:18. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
The Lord clothes us with his righteousness.
Our righteousness is as filthy rags
Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Our effort to cleanse our self apart from Chist is as filthy rags.
God bless.
Sounds like the Pastors were combining parts of scripture to make a point that every one will have different rewards, some more than others. Some lights will shine brighter than others. Maybe they were considering lights as clothing.
Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
God bless,

If you want to discuss each one at a time that is welcomed, but I'm sure you're aware that people before have shared false information before. This list is one of those. If you're genuinely interested in what the Bible says you can just read it and post any questions you have here one at a time. But your posting can be viewed as atheist propaganda for people afraid of the God's truth and the real implications it has for their life.
Since according to you God's word is so compromised. And you took it upon yourself to research this.
Can you give us who trust on Gods word for our Salvation can you give us an ALTERNATIVE? Our souls depend on Gods promise to preserve it!!!
