Most important part is to be living a holy life and be anointed and called , or we put the gospel to shame as hypocrites. And peach a pure gospel .

Regarding the subject of what day Jesus died.

Jesus said: we must be like children if we are to enter heaven.

    Matthew 18:3

"And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."

If we must become like a child - when we read the bible (like a child would) we are to believe and have faith that it is the truth.

Jesus says in scripture: that he will be in the earth for three days and three nights.

    Matthew 12:40

"For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Believing this (as a child would) then Jesus remained in the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. So Jesus died on a Wednesday and was not present on Sunday morning, per scripture, this would fulfill Jesus words!

    God Bless

    Amen Jesse.

Disciples wasn't just evangelists, Your walk is a way of witnessing. What ever we do we should do it by the Power of the Spirit. Not as a task. God equips us differently for the work. However I think we will be surprised how far the word has went out. I have a friend who is african that went to seminary and take the Gospel to his tribe in Africa which was all Muslim. He was nervous but when he got there he was surprised that the Gospel and Churches have been already built. And the cults is there too unfortunately.

I believe the world will be judged by their response to what light they received.

And our works will be judged by what we done in the spirit and what's in the flesh will go up in smoke.

But we also should be aware of how we're being observed

John 13:34-35. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

BY THIS SHALL ALL MEN KNOW THAT YE ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YE HAVE LOVE ONE TO ANOTHER.

There's more than one way to give Christ to the lost.

The problem at times seems to be what's being presented whether by message or by example.

    Amen God bless.

As i read the whole chapter 3. i wanted to know if this is correct that jesus spoke directly in verses 3,5-8,10-12 because really i think i was told by a sunday school class teacher when i was alot younger that parts of 3:16 was john's interpretation an not sure that jesus spoke this great verses

3:15-21!!!!! as i read it today i feel like jesus spoke allot about this an that john's chapter 3 remembered about all that because the helper the holy gost brought all this back to his reminded as well as nicodemus whom i would surely think meet with some if not all of the disciples after the resurrection of jesus christ our lord an discuss with them events as john was the disciple whom it stated jesus loved

  • Dianne - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 4 years ago
Rod Biblically there are different translations of Hell one is Gehenna a place where fire never goes out and the other is sheol where the dead are. In Revelation at very end all people that ever lived just and unjust will be raised from the dead and judged either to eternal life or hell or Gehenna also where satan will be bottomless pit. We who are born again by-pass all this we are taken up with Christs return, gathering together thessalonians. 1 Corinthians 15:50-56. This is my understanding.

Yes; in the entire article, he emphasizes the importance of us getting out there and winning souls. I totally understand where you are coming from with that, and I agree with you for the most part. The Bible says that no one will have a good excuse for not coming to Christ. Through God's creation, everyone can know that THERE IS A GOD. "Someone greater than me created this," they might think. However, there are many who have not heard the plan of salvation. They don't automatically know from nature that "Christ came to Earth to die for them, was buried, and rose again; and that if they will accept Him as their Savior and repent of their sins, they will go to Heaven when they die." Someone specifically has to tell them that. HOWEVER, they KNOW that there is a God; if they believe in Him, God knows that they have believed, and He will take them to Heaven just as surely as the man who got saved in a revival service after hearing the Gospel. The main focus of Brother Allison's comment was telling the SALVATION MESSAGE, SPECIFICALLY, "THE GOSPEL.""

    Amen Brother Jess!!

Our Justification happened at the Cross and We are being Sanctified by his Word and we will be Glorified in Heaven.

Galatians 4:28. Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

There's a verse that wraps up the works and grace confusion when applied.

There's a lot to unlock in Torah before we even get into the study of Salvation in the New Testament!!

    God bless.

    Sister Dianne.

What comes out the mouth comes from the heart,

The Gospel is meant to share not store up to ourselves.

    We need to take ownership.

Here is two verses I will attempt to draw a picture of the way we "play Christianity"

Consider these two verses in 1 John and James. next the other posted scriptures and then I will explain where we need to take ownership. So please bare with me.

    1 John 3:17. and James 2:15-16.

Luke 19:10. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

2 Corinthians 5:15. And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

Matthew 5:14-15. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Ephesians 2:10. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

I'm sure we're familiar with the slothful servant in the parable in

    Luke 19:20-26.

    NOW YO MY POINT.

We complain so much especially here in the US of America. about the spiritual decay and gross sin dating back to Slavery!! AND ALL THAT MATTERS IS WE HAVE THE GOSPEL STORED IN OUR HEART. Brother and Sisters getting it out undefiled should be top priority to the lost. In a way it parallels with the examples presented in

    1 John 3:17. and James 2:15-16.

It's so much we all can do together if what's in our heart generated work rather a SHOW of Holiness.

WHAT'S THE POINT REASONING SCRIPTURE TO SOMEONE ABSENT OF THE SPIRIT?

THEY NEED IN THEM WHAT'S WORKING IN US!!

1 Corinthians 2:14. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Love is not hiding the Gospel it's presenting it.

    God bless.

    Hello Heidi,

Thank you for sharing this quote from Mike Allison. I am not sure who he is but I would like to just comment on what he is saying. I agree with him that there are billions who have not heard the salvation message. But I'm not sure if he's trying to put a guilt trip on believers because we are not out there trying to reach everyone with the gospel message? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong. I am all for evangelizing and reaching people with the gospel message, but only as the Lord leads us to do, not us doing it in our own human effort, which I don't believe the Lord blesses. ( Psalm 127:1).

What I'd like to share about those who have never heard the gospel of Jesus, is that in Romans 1:20, it says "For the invisible things of him (That is, of God), from the creation of the world (The time of creation up till now), the invisible things of God, and please notice the clarity, it says they are clearly seen. There's no confusion!

And there's a clause at the end of verse 20 that is an apposition to invisible things. Apposition means equal to. When it says for the invisible things of Him, I ask myself what does he mean by that? He says even his eternal power and Godhead. But then I see the conclusion that says that they are without excuse. Could "they" be the ones who have never heard the gospel message? I believe so.

The word excuse is the word APOLOGEA, where we get our word apologetics from. It is a legal term that means defense. So people have no defense whatsoever. What Romans 1:20 tells me is that not one single human being will stand before God and say "I didn't know!" Psalm 19:1-4 tells us that creation itself testifies to everyone born into this world that God exists.

I'm not against witnessing Christ. We should be praying for the Lord to lead us into those opportunities. But as far as reaching everyone, they've already been reached through creation that there is a God. And in the end, God has a plan to reach every single person on the earth!

Ray You are in need of total change of focus mentally, In the old testament He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their fears. Change your head change your life. Scriptures are light and life. Here's a few 2 Timothy 1:7, 2 Peter 2:24, John 14:12-14, also you must act on what the word of God says we have been given. I.E. Romans 5:1-9, Romans 8:28-39, 1 John 3:1+2, 1 John 3:20-22, 2 Peter 1:1-8, never focus the negative. Remember what you have been given was and is Gods good pleasure, and it blessed Him because He desired a family us, Ephesians 1: 1-11, so there get the light of the word in. I'll be praying for you.

    Mary,

People use the phrase "Generational Curse" to tell someone that the reason why God has cursed them, or the reason why bad things happen in their life is because of the evil someone else in their family line was involved in, and that it has been passed down to you simply by association. That is not biblical. The only generational curse I see is the curse of sin that has been passed down from generation to generation. We are all born into sin, and not by choice. All mankind has been cursed that way, from generation to generation. And the only cure for that curse if Christ Himself!

As for what your niece means when she keeps telling you that, have you asked her to explain why she keeps telling you that?

    Rod Polk,

In the story of the rich man and Lazarus (Luke16:19-31), we see in verse 23 speaking of the rich man, it says "In Hell he lift up his eyes. That is the word Hades. There's actually only one place in the bible that it is the word Hell, and that's the lake of fire in the book of Revelation. In fact, Hades will be emptied out into the lake of fire. The word Hades means the place of unseen spirits, no physical body, just spirits. Prior to the death of Christ on the cross, when a person died, they went to a place called Hades. For the ones who will eventually be sent to Hell, they were on one side, and the saints waiting for Messiah to come for their salvation were on the other side.

Revelation 20:14 says, "And death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire." That is the compartment of Hades where the non-believers are. They will be cast into the lake of fire (Hell) and will spend eternity there. Right now, there are no believers in Hades. They were released with the Lord's message to them. After He died on the cross for them, He descended into the lower parts of the earth. And all the believers that were in that part of Hades (Abraham's Bosom), they were taken with Christ. But the non-believers were left there. And that's where the non-believers go today until the end of the thousand-year reign of Christ. And then they will be resurrected, the sea will give up its dead, the earth will give up its dead, and they'll stand before Christ and the books will be opened. And they will be judged, every man according to their works. And even death and Hell, and it's kind of like emptying out the compartments. Death and Hell were cast into the lake of fire. From my understanding, this is the other side of Hades that will be emptied out and cast into the lake of fire (Hell).

    (1John4:1-3)

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Early Christians met in homes. There's no requirement for a facility or space for which some meet. I think the point is being in fellowship with other Christians.

    Hi Dianne,

First, Jesus rose before sun rise on the first day of the week (Sunday), on the Feast of First Fruits, one of the feasts they were required to come to Jerusalem. Jesus fulfilled it, being the First Fruits of those who slept. Whatever day Jesus was crucified does not change what He endured and what He did was for us.

There are five days covered in scripture from the day Jesus rode in to Jerusalem till He was crucified, starting ( Matthew 22:12) ( Mark 11) ( Luke 19) John covers it differently ( John 12:12-50). This will rule out Wednesday because that would put Jesus' riding in on a Sabbath, he could not ride the colt/donkey, it would break the Sabbath law.

In (John12:1-8) it is six days before Passover, some say He traveled from Jericho so it could not be on a Sabbath but ( Luke 19) He went up to Jerusalem but then says it came to pass, so He could have been close to Bethany before the Sabbath. ( John 12:12-16) the next day Jesus rides into Jerusalem. So, if Jesus rode in on the first day, my choice, what is called Palm Sunday, gives you Thursday or if He rides in on the second day, Monday, gives you Friday.

    Things to consider;

The third day, or the third day from? Three days and three nights? Days start and end at sunset. What preparation day, the Passover day or Friday? Passover is the 14 th of Nisan, a preparation day, one day separate from the feast 15 th - 21 st, People then and now consider it an eight-day feast and calling it the feast of Passover or the feast of unleavened bread, it is two separate things.

You see in ( John 13:1) ( Luke 22:1) ( Matthew 26:17) and in ( Mark 14:12) the first day of unleavened bread when they kill the Passover. They kill the Passover on the 14 th same day Jesus was crucified, not during the feast of unleavened bread, that started the 15 th. We have to look close with eyes wide open.

This is not enough to rightfully cover. I hope this is enough for studying, and not just enough to confuse.

Jude 1:3-4. Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

    This is written to believers.

    God bless.

Is the term Hell the Jewish interpretation meaning the grave. I asked that because in revelations 21 God cast death and hell into hell. I see how death and the grave work together, but how can you literally cast hell into itself and maintain eternity
