Hello Joanne. Matthew 15:24: "But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Jesus had gone to the coastal towns of Tyre & Sidon which are in Phoenicia. He went to minister to the Jews there (you might remember that the tribe of Asher had inherited some of that portion of the Land of Canaan back in the days of Joshua). So, we're not told what type of ministry Jesus was already doing there, when a Canaanitish woman approached Him to heal her demon-possessed daughter. Jesus didn't want to expand His Work to all people, so initially He refused her, saying that His Mission was to "the lost sheep of Israel", or the Jews who were perishing/in darkness for lack of Truth. Some could interpret Jesus' phrase as 'to the Jews who were scattered in these far off parts', but I think the emphasis on their 'spiritual needs' was what Jesus was referring to here. If Jesse sees this, he could clarify it better than me.

But because of this woman's great faith, Jesus just gave the Word of healing, for we read that her daughter was healed in that hour, or in that moment. And Jesus did touch the lives of non-Jews from time to time (e.g. you can look up Matthew 8:5-13; John 4:1-42; Mark 5:1-17) but His Mission was primarily to the "lost sheep of Israel".

Right this second, the most important thing your brother needs--above and beyond a cancer cure--if he has not been born again, he needs to take Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Romans 10:9-10 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Confess your sins to Jesus Christ, repent, and believe in your heart that he has saved you. He will give you a new heart and a new life in Him. Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh."

If he is already a born-again Christian, he has nothing to fear. 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

Pray that the cancer and its symptoms leave him in Jesus's name. Prayer is POWERFUL I've had miracles in my own life. Almost four years ago, I couldn't walk due to an illness. Friends and family prayed. And not long after, I just got up and walked. My great-nephew was so sick in the womb that doctors advised abortion, but his mother refused. Family and friends prayed. And the symptoms left that child. And he was born healthy and thrives today at four years old. God is on the throne. He hears prayer. God can heal immediately Matthew 8:13 or after a period of time Mark 5:5. Remember, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What He did while He walked the earth, he can do sitting at the right hand of God in Heaven. God bless.

    Dianne,

    I will give a near-future tell: US/Israel will bomb Iran's nuclear facility ( Revelation 6:14).

I can't give a date, but there will be some time inbetween it and ( Revelation 6:12).

Hey, wait a second here, why does the vs 14 scroll come before the vs 12 earthquake with the sun black and moon blood? That is a riddle of itself

If what I say doesn't happen, I will take a vow of silence, apologize in hand sign. If it comes to pass, I will rub it in so much that you will welcome the 6th trumpet. Another riddle.

Hello Sandy. I think you might be thinking of Jephthah, found in Judges chapter 11. I hope I'm correct in assuming that, since that account is very sad indeed. You know the story so I won't go over it, except to say that it was truly a very rash, ill-considered vow that Jephthah had made before the Lord.

As far as whether he fulfilled his vow by sacrificing his daughter, it would be inconclusive to say. In the normal reading of that Scripture, it appears that he did sacrifice her, as we see his demonstration of horror, anguish & tearing of clothes when she was the first to come through the doors to greet him. He might have been expecting an animal ("WHATSOEVER cometh forth of the doors of my house" verse 31), as some animals were often kept in the house, so this vow appears extremely rash & for which he would have to live with in grief for the rest of his life.

Yet, some suppose that Jephthah didn't sacrifice his daughter in the understanding as one would sacrifice an animal. One reason given, is that it would be an abomination before God & man, for a human sacrifice to take place, & such human sacrifices were only conducted by the heathen. Rather, Jephthah allowed her to go away to the mountains to "bewail her virginity" & then return to be forever set apart, without marriage & family, sacrificed for the Lord's Service.

So, one can't be too sure what actually took place, the Scripture isn't specific enough - my sense is that he fulfilled his vow by permitting her death which was then remembered & lamented over each year by "the daughters of Israel".

Hi everyone , this is a serious question and I'm genuinely interested in everyone's answer , ive noticed that quite a few people on here don't really believe that coronavirus is real or maybe it's real but not dangerous etc , I would like to know if anyone thinks it's a "sign of the times " , an indication that the return of Christ is very near , I would like as many different people as possible to reply if that's ok , a bit like a quick show of hands , thanks to you all .

    LEON,

Historically who did the olive trees and candlesticks represent? Israel & Judah. Write down the time line and characteristics of the 2 witnesses and the 144K, and you will be upset to realize that they are one in the same. Can you tell the difference between literal and allegory, not even when they are described in 6 chapters of Revelation? Tell me when humility sets in.

    Jesse,

I can answer you, but I will not hold back on how Christians are phony's adhering to false doctrine. How the weak minded get fooled by satan, and if it's too good to be true doctrine. God never came up with a pre/mid/post rapture plan, that was you. God didn't came up with a trinity, that was you. And you can justify all of it at all cost, justify all of what's not in the Bible! Having FAITH in a man made doctrine. A pass to be insane by religion.

However, at the very root of it is Jesus; all you need to do is give yourself to Jesus Christ, then all the ramblings we squabble about are meaningless. The ideologies you've held have validated corruptness. Jesus will reveal wisdom to us.

    Ray,

I speak the same language as you. I learned from reading the Bible, not from someone telling me what to think. I like to prove and reprove my Bible stories. When I tell my rapturist friends that they are not the elect, they literally melt. Some have come around to tell me how far fetched a rapture was, like Tom Cruise accepting the volcano aliens. Jesus describes the 'day of the Lord' where the "taken" are devoured by vultures; they aren't "raptured", they are dead. Jesus is not a game show, He's not giving away supernatural prizes. Why would God take billions above the 144k saints?

In the 50's, doctors would recommend smoking to their patients. It's easier to fool someone than to convince them they've been fooled. Post your "fly-away doctrine".

Well written brother S. Spencer. And I'm NOT the originator (of the same name) of that question about 'Satan fighting for God's Throne'.

So I'm here Standing For The Truth!! As I read these comments coming 'out of left field', I shudder & wonder how much more can the Word of God be mishandled & corrupted.

I also see that Gnosticsm is alive & well in the 21st Century, appearing in its many forms; essentially, that " The various groups within it emphasize personal spiritual knowledge (gnosis) above the accepted teachings, traditions, and authority of the Church (specifically the Teachings of our Lord & His servants, the apostles). It was an evil that the apostles had to constantly grapple with (1 John is typically a letter to combat a number of heresies that appeared at that time) & it continued through the ages where the revealed Word was no longer sufficient to satisfy spiritual hunger, but 'extra wisdom or revelation' was needed to give believers a 'fuller proper' understanding of the Word. And of course, anything added to the Word will most certainly deform it, making the Word useless, both for understanding & for its intended revelation.

Most of the regulars here will be able to see through such spurious interpretations, but it's for the unlearned, seeking ones I feel most concerned for, & that this Site which has undoubtedly been of great benefit to many, doesn't become a breeding ground for error. To that end, it is good to respond to the seeker of Truth but to avoid arguments with ministers of falsehood, which inevitably grips each one of us in an endless loop of arguments, ultimately giving no agreement & engendering un-Christianlike feelings. And we see evidence of this already. Keep up the good work brother & every blessing.

I have been a Christian for over 21 years, and during, and when I was transferred into the Police Department, I illegally became a targeted victim, and my private home was illegally break-in entering, and I was illegally put under, and there was an illegal criminal brain procedure was illegally done against my will, my physical brain have been illegally subjected with wireless electrical brain implants, and now my physical brain have been completely wired against my will. And in the Bible this is against God's Biblical Word. And I have been trying to Outlaw this crime, and the Higher State Officials, and Local Law Enforcement, and other State Agencies are illegally covering up this crime. What do I need to do. I will not give up, until they are exposed, No Justice, No Peace. And now my Christianity have been weakness.

    Cynthia Ogwo,

Yes. I am speaking of he two olive trees and two candlesticks that stand before God. These represent the two houses of Israel, 144k sealed from death 42 months. Even though they are mentioned in separate incantations in Revelation 5, Revelation 7, Revelation 11, Revelation 12, Revelation 14 & Revelation 20, the self-proclaimed 'smart ones' can't recognize them, or figure out who they are.

It is amazing how far off the "learned" are with their tired explanations. Then they try to give instructions based on faulty interpretations.

    Brother Earl,

We have to take scripture as it is when given so plainly. We have made a mess out of the word of God by what we force in scripture, This has become a hobby for some and a competition for others. How can the word go forward with power when we can't get it right? In the secular world we condemn the liberal but we welcome it in the fellowship, And condemn those who try and defend the truth. We're to casual with handelling the word.

The last month or so it has been nothing but a platform to showcase ones self whether there views or their outstanding display.

The original thread was Chris asking:

    Now quoting Chris.

"Was Satan a angel in the beginning and fought for God our fathers throne."

    End quote.

    And my answer was:

I believe the scripture actually says I will be ( LIKE ) the most high. here's scripture:

    End quote.

It had nothing to do with defining a cherub. or thew many other views that entered the thread.

You see we quit helping others and seem more concerned about pitching our views.

Those who was gifted to teach shouldn't fade away and let the word be mishandled. The Apostles didn't do it and neither did the Lord!

THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE TRUTH PLEASE STAND!!

YOU SMITE THE SHEPPARD AND THE SHEEP WILL SCATTER IT LITERALLY HAPPENED 2000 YEARS AGO. AND THAT'S WHAT IS GOING ON TODAY. Gods word is being smitten. That should concern us. Not the second coming or our wonderful outwardly display of vain holiness.

    God bless.

    DIANNE

    Greetings

In fact the matter is profound.

There are two kinds of man that were created by GOD: One is earthy, animal, even bestial or brut beast. Another is spiritual man, yeah, only this is really the man created in the image of GOD. Detail: Scriptures do not say GOD created "a man" as if was one, but many. Let us make man in OUR image ... many men. This work was reserved to realize in the sixth Day. Detail: One day with the Lord is as a thousand years- 2Peter 5:v.8.

You referred to John 10:v.9-10, and you said: "Adversary the thief, steal kill and destroy." Yes, All were destroyed and were lost. JESUS said He was sent specificaly to the lost sheep of Israel-Mt.15:24, but in John 10:v.16 He left clear the salvation was for the humankind. v.16 - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold(the Gentiles): them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

In my prior post for you I wrote: Two thousand years ago, the Word was made flesh-JESUS- and He came to create a new creature in GOD, the Father, through the new birth and saving what had been lost through Satan's usurpation of the God's creation; In fact, without JESUS, was not any thing made that was made. John the apostle said: Now are we the sons of God,and doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shalld it appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is- 1John 3:2

If you see the Chronology and duration of biblical times, you will see or conclude that we are living in the turn of the sixth Day to the seventh Day, that is the seventh and last millennium, the Millennium of Christ. Only now, in a moment very similar when GOD went to speak with Adam in Eden in the turn of Day, I mean, only now in the turn of the sixth Day to the seventh, the man (men) will be made in the image of GOD. How will it be? JESUS explains in Luke 20:35-36.

In Christ JESUS, KING of kings (kings made by Him), and LORD of lords

Ezekiel chapter 13:20: Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. "We will go threw tribulation, like it or not." The test of time is now. The parable of the fig tree. When Isreal became a nation again. Puts us in the last generation.

Jonathan Taylor, obviously you do not believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God because you are casting dispersions on the veracity of its content. I am curious whether you are a Christ follower, for it is impossible for one to call himself a Christian and not consider the Holy Bible to be Truth, every word of it!

Zechariah 4:1-3; 11-14 and Revelation 11:7 speak of the two witnesses; not Revelation 7. Also, with a high degree of probability, the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah, for they were with Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration ( Matt. 17:1-3), and performed the supernatural acts mentioned in Revelation 11:5-6.

    Hi Gloria,

I believe you're asking what it means for us being the salt of the earth, etc?

13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

15Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

To me this doesn't teach us as much about God as it is teaching us how to live. Christians should be visible and an example to follow, showing good works, and giving glory to God. At the end of this chapter it says to be perfect. I think it's a challenge to us to strive to be like Jesus. This is an ongoing lifelong pursuit. Of course we will slip up here and there as all are sinful and fall short, but we should stay the course and follow Jesus. This takes active effort. (sadly some Christians think its ok to follow the world as they assume grace is just a fast pass in and that you can enjoy sin and following earthly pleasures as much as you want- I don't think it works that way. Jesus said this: Matthew 7:21-23. That is what I get out of it.

    DIANNE

    Greetings

All of us here are spinning like satellites around the Bible, which is the Word of GOD. The Word is GOD. The most important thing is to search for the GOD's Truth, many times it is hidden.

Two thousand years ago, the Word was made flesh-JESUS- and He came to create a new creature in GOD, the Father, through the new birth and saving what had been lost through Satan's usurpation of God's creation; In fact, without JESUS, was not any thing made that was made. John the apostle said: Now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is- 1John 3:v.2

What can we learn from the prophets, and from JESUS and His apostles?

JESUS in John 8:v.39-44: Dialogue between JESUS and the Jews:

39 -The Jews said unto JESUS,Abraham is our FATHER.Jesus saith unto them,If ye were Abraham's children(IF???),ye would do the works of Abraham.40 But now ye seek to kill me, ...(For JESUS the Jews were not Abraham's children)

41-The Jews said to JESUS:We be not born of fornication;we have one FATHER even GOD.

42 -Jesus said unto them,If GOD were your FATHER(IF?),ye would love me:

43 -Why do ye not understand my speech?even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 -Ye are of your FATHER the Devil, ...

45 -And because I tell you the truth,ye believe me not.

John the Apostle said:This is the message that ye HEARD from the beginning(yeah,we have heard from JESUS, the beginning),that we should love one another. Not as Cain, who was of that Wicked One (the Devil,Satan),and slew his brother. (Cain was the FIRST son of the woman-Eve.He belonged to Devil. But the woman-Eve-said; Genesis 4:v1- I have gotten a man from the Lord.

The woman-Eve-had been deceived by the Devil; She spoke lie when she said that had Cain from the Lord, instead to say from the Devil.

That said, John REALLY said Truth, the woman-Eve-not.

Well, the ONLY ONE who was not born of the Devil was/is JESUS.
