if you are a born-again Christian--you must understand--you received the Holy Spirit the second you were saved. Luke 14:16. You need not ask for God to send Him to you for He does not come and go. He is with you always.
Cast your cares upon Him for He careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7. He will answer according to His will. He will always sustain you. Psalm 55:22. Pray continuously, especially for His will in these matters. Read His Word and wait upon him. He will not fail you. Let your needs rest in Him. He may not answer your prayer the way you want, but he will make a way for you to have victory over this matter.
I know God is forgiving, and I joyfully accept His forgiveness. My weakness comes in my inability to forgive myself. The world is constantly reminding me of my wrongdoing. Sadly, the world to which I'm referring is within the church.
Most true children of God has a hard time forgiving themselves, but we must Mark 11:26
(But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.) This scripture is talking about forgiving everyone including ourselves because Romans 2:11 (For there is no respect of persons with God.) I know exactly what you are talking about when you mention the church world, but remember there is no church world with God; ONLY the world and the church! The church starts in you, you are the temple of the living God if you have been Born Again and
1 John 4:4
(Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.) Praying for you
means to turn, follow jesus.
Even in the Book of the Revelation, some things are clearly metaphorical & left unexplained, while others are explained: e.g. Revelation 9:3ff on locusts as opposed to Revelation 1:20, the stars & candlesticks. With the latter, the meaning is given, but with the former, we can get several theories on who or what the locusts are. If one proclaims that he has the meaning, how are we to accept that without any Scriptural backing? If a mystery is unlocked & faith & joy have increased exponentially as a result, can it be expected that another person can share that same exuberance without confirmation from other Scriptures? Likewise, the two states of the Earth (once without form & void because of satanic interference & then re-created in perfection a second time with beaming light), becomes difficult to comprehend.
You said, "The reconstituted creation did not contain the same evil which previously existed." I thought that this 'reconstituted creation' already had the same evil present - in Satan, who was there ready to pounce on the new humans to make them like himself. Adam & Eve's disobedience manifested into evil only because of the evil already present. And as a result, the whole creation groaneth & travaileth in pain till the present. But "the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God" in that coming day. Blessings to you brother.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven. They seemed to have thought that the living saints would hurry to meet the Lord, and that the dead would be powerless to follow. On the contrary, Christ comes to them. He will descend. With a shout. The voice of an archangel. The voice of command. With the trumpet of God. The trumpet blast as a signal and a summons.
The dead in Christ shall rise first. Before the living are gathered, all the saints who slept in Christ shall be gathered around him. In the final day, the first act is the gathering of the departed saints; the next, the gathering of the living saints.
Another great phrase to put in this website Search Box, "in the Clouds". It makes some Revelation passages easier to follow.
Or, Have head knowledge, and not as much heart knowledge.
I found out if you read too fast; sprint way out in front of the Holy Spirit; you're going to miss out on some meaning. In places, you'll be reading along in Genesis and something from a chapter backwards is explained more. It's a good book to take notes on. Cains life and death is another one of those. Most people will skip over "the begats" because it looks boring. There are some exciting nuggets in there. And you realize how carefully Jesus's bloodline was traced to Matthew 1.
It's easier if you google charts that other people have made. They're beautiful. Always check for accuracy.
Revelation 16:16 is NOT a battle ground; it is the place where the feuding beast army GATHERS for the last battle.
Joel 3:2 I will also GATHER all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat (blood), and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
These two verses support one another, with Joel descriptively delving in deeper past the gathering. This last battle is called "The battle of that great day of God Almighty", AND MOST CERTAINLY NOT "the battle of Armageddon."
Does Revelation 20:8 have a relationship with Jeremiah 15:8?
Revelation 20:8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as THE SANDS OF THE SEA.
Jeremiah 15:7-8 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people, since they return not from their ways.
8 Their widows are increased to me above THE SANDS OF THE SEAS: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city.
These two prophets are referencing the SAME LITERAL battle known as WWIII where the heavens rejoice our demise.
Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
John 15:19
"If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you."
1 John 3:1
"Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not."
1 John 2:15
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
Remember the story of Joseph, how his brethren despised him for his virtue. (Coat of many colors - 2 Samuel 13:18)
1 John 3:13
"Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you."
I just made some Rapture References.
Blessings on the wedding!
There was a known tv preacher who was invited to a brand new start up church first service.
He stood back after awhile n whispered the side of his mouth as if God were standing next to him (humorously)n said 'Well..this ok n thats ok but this chior is horrible.. to his shocking surprise, God spoke to him n said
' Let me tell you something,There is people who can sing,,I mean really sing
Then there is people who sing from there heart... and this.... is soo beautiful'
I just wanted to throw this out to you all, sort of as a trivia question, but do any of you know of anyone else in the bible whose name was Jesus son of the father, other than Christ Himself?
I'll post a response tomorrow that I think you might find fascinating!
in the recent post was written: "the dead in christ will rise first even not in this present time- because michael stands up ..."
the correct is "the dead in christ will rise first even in this present time - because michael stands up ..."
Actually Michael Judges and makes WAR- Revelation 12:v.7 &16:v.13-16. After the battle or ending the battle, Michael will lay hold on the Dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and will bind him a thousand years, and will cast him into the bottomless pit, he will shut him up and will set a seal upon him, that the Devil deceives the nations no more. This is wonderful. Rev.20:v.1-3.
But how could Michael stand up and make war - Revelation 12:v.7- and Judging, if he not born first, just as Jesus and John the Baptist were born? Impossible of course. You see, it's very difficult in the midst of so much confusion to speak of the true revelation that God's Word brings unto us. Who is going to believe the true revelation that is within everyone's reach, living in this spiritual hostile environment full of speculation, and presumption, and conjectures, and apostasies, and cunningly devised fables, and so on?
This end-of-days moment and end of the second covenant, is very complicated unto us to understand and preaching what will really happen because the earth is infested with tares. Michael will lay hold on the Dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and will bind him a thousand years, and will cast him into the bottomless pit, he will shut him up and will set a seal upon him, that the Devil DECEIVES THE NATIONS NO MORE. This is wonderful. Rev.20:v.1-3.
First of all, thank you for sharing your understanding of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17. You listed each verse and after each one, you placed another verse. I've gone over the others that you list, and I do not see any correlation between those verses that you paired up. What I see is that they are referring to different things, so I cannot put them together.
I do agree with you that 1 Thessalonians 4 is about those that take part in the first resurrection and are present with Christ upon his return at the second resurrection. I agree with that, but only if you are referring to the first resurrection being the rapture of the church, where the dead in Christ rise first, and then those who are alive and remaining (saved believers) join them in the air with Christ, and are then taken up to heaven to participate in the marriage feast, and then we come back with Christ when He returns to rule and reign for a thousand years. That I can agree to.
If you're asking me what difference is there in the snatching up, whether it be one at a time or collectively, my answer would be that in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, it's using plural language, not singular. That tells me that the HARPADZO refers to everyone in Christ getting snatched up together, the dead in Christ (plural) rise from the grave first, and then we which are alive and remain (saved believers, also plural), we go together to meet the Lord in the air, not one at a time. I think it's going to happen so fast that if it occurs in our lifetime, which would be so awesome, but it will happen so fast that we are not even going to realize that the dead in Christ rose before us. We just know they do because the scripture tells us they will.
Thanks again for your time!
Sorry brother Earl I've given my take on Gog and Magog recently. but I've learned that when engaged in a friendly debate over the text with one who spiritualize the text it's like a dog chasing his tail, There's nothing to take root of. as long as we agree on the means of salvation we will have to agree to disagree on this issue. But I will say if the conclusion of your theology leads you to believing that all will be saved even nonbelievers that view is very disturbing, You have to spiritualize every book in the Bible!! And nearly every chapter!! How do we reason using the scripture?
It's Late here on the south east coast.
I will Chat with you guys tomorrow.
Goodnight and God bless.
I believe the key is, Is the wrong doing past or presently in your life today?
We all have had wrong doing in the past and still fail short of perfection today. Thing is do we practice it or have we turned from it?
Hopefully I refreshed your comment so others may help.
God bless, and goodnight.
God bless.
The 1st sentence should have read
I don't Know all there is to spirit and soul in the present state or future state.
I don't know a there is to spirit and soul, present or future, I think the soul being dead is "Positionally" Just like we're declared righteousness in Christ. "Positionally"
You see you and I don't agree on where the Spiritually dead goes. I believe there's is a Hell, And it is a place of torment and that Spiritually dead soul will be resurrected and be aware even as the dead is aware of his presence after this body returns to dust. And I believe he will be given a Chance to present his Case in the 2nd resurrection. And there's going to be some of us here who knowingly and not Knowingly fail short of Grace.
" Those who believe salvation is based off the works of the flesh is the knowingly "
" The not knowingly is those who adds to grace " This group misunderstand the difference between SAVED TO WORK and WORK TO BE SAVED. They believe to receive that grace you have to work for it.
I believe those who are spiritually dead have the spirit of the world and have a natural hate for the truth.
Likewise those who are alive in Christ have a natural hatred for the lies.
You tell the difference by their fruit. "Most important Love "Agape" for the Brethren.
BY THE WAY YOU HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THAT! YOU CAN'T TURN IT OFF OR ON. ( These are hard to identify! Speak the truth and it will manifest some.)
This topic "Where the soul goes" Is very important to some because "Their Theology" which is shaped by "their views" hinges on this.
A person can can hold to a view which is fused in a slight works based relationship by even adding to sanctification or Justification "the finish" work on the cross" and he has added leaven. And it shows up in their ministry.
And by the way I believe there is a literal Armageddon. Why and how can you Spiritualize a literal place here on Earth?
And how do you get drawn to it?
Revelation 16:16. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.
