Hi Are. Yes, the jailor was asking about a spiritual salvation. He was the head keeper of the prison, any escape would mean that he would pay the price for it - whether being jailed himself or executed for his ineptness. When Paul & Silas appeared before him, they found him about to commit suicide, for he believed that that would be the better option for him. So this jailor was so relieved that these two men didn't escape & that their honesty & fear of God and probably the Gospel message that the jailor heard from them, prompted him to realize his own sin & his need for such a wonderful Saviour.

This again shows us how God can use His children in so many ways to bring the Gospel to the unsaved. And especially when the unsaved are in great need, their ears & hearts are more open. Trouble is, so many believers lead careless lives making the Lord & the Gospel a laughing stock & a derision to so many. Though Paul & Silas were prisoners, the jailor soon realized that these prisoners were men of God, that God was with them, & they had a life-giving message for him (& his household).

I ran out of room in my last message, but I wish everyone could just follow God and Jesus, and not be tempted.by such a weakling like Satan. I don't understand how he is able to get into people's minds the way he does even though he is chained, and why he would ever think that he could be stronger than God. I can't fathom ever leaving the benefits God provides, he created everything, and a lot of times when I pray I always tell him how wonderful he did with creating this world. We would love to rent a house, but since I am disabled I have 0 credit, and my husband's credit got messed up because of his mom, it's building back up but slowly. My husband is a chef at a restaurant, and his friend there happens to be an investor, I asked if the three of us would be able to get a place together because it is something his friend has brought up just recently, so my husband is going to talk with him more about it next time he sees him. I wish I had relatives that would takenus in for now, but most of my relatives are greedy and only think about themselves, and his family are the same way.

I agree, well it was mostly my friend's mom who said okay to us being here, she is a wonderful lady, and I love being around her she is definitely not a dark soul, it's just her son Andii who is. Miracles happen, and I've even had the pleasure of God taking my spirit out of my earthly body once to show me heaven. Now, about your request for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The second you are saved, you are baptized by the Holy Spirit, who never leaves you for he is a part of your walk for Christ. He shows you Gods ways and teaches you His paths. The Bible says, "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body" ( 1 Corinthians 12:13). The original Greek of this passage makes it clear that this baptism of the Spirit--just as is water baptism--is a completed past action. Peace.

Dear Chad , I am so sorry for you in your situation ,please know that I may be the only person who replies to you but I'm sure that everyone who has read your post is thinking of you and praying for a good outcome for you , there are some ,but not me , who would say that you are artificially keeping yourself alive with human science , I've done that myself and I believe that God had given us the knowledge to ease our sufferings but others will disagree I'm sure , you didn't mention your age or how long you have been like this or if you have a family , all I can say is that it's not our place to tell you what to do or to judge your choices , I know that God loves you very much and He is with you , all the time , He understands your pain. You must do what you believe is right for you and your loved ones , me ? I would take the treatment ,ask my doctor to be very honest with me ,talk to my loved ones and pray to God through Jesus Christ our sinless high priest in heaven , wait a while . Don't make a rash decision and please know we are all thinking of you and God will not leave you , listen for that small still voice .May God grant you wisdom and peace and may He bless you and yours in all the ways He knows you need His blessings most .

Revelation 3:14. We see this expression ("the beginning of the creation of God") only here. I would include Colossians 1:15-18 which speaks of Christ being "the firstborn of all creation - for by Him were all things created - through Him & for Him". Even though the Greek for 'beginning' & 'firstborn' are very different, I think the same application is implied: that Christ is the Creator (the beginning) of all creation: both of the original creation & then being the forerunner of those IN Christ (the firstborn (& by implication, the Creator) of the new creation) - also Romans 8:29; Hebrews 12:23. The Scriptures you cited on Christ the Light & His involvement in creation were excellent: none can oppose such Truth. The question remains, could a God, who is Light & dwells in Light, cannot also create something that has no light or is unformed? Your answer to this is noted - my answer compels me to look at the whole of creation, which does not always attest to a God of Light creating what we would like to think or believe as perfect. We would have to ask about the creation of the other planets & stars: were they created perfect? If yes, then is their present perfection by our standards actually an imperfection? Or, if Earth's formless, empty condition in Genesis 1:2 was as a result of being evil affected, how could an evil entity be able to create such a cataclysmic condition to God's creation? Why hasn't that happened now to the Earth under our present abounding evil? All rhetorical questions no doubt, & for that reason I could never formulate a belief on a single verse & make an assumption that God has to work in a certain manner just because He is a God of Light.

Revelation 13:8. In the normal reading of that verse, it speaks of the Christ, the Lamb of God, Who was in the Plan of God even before the Earth's creation, to one day become God's sacrificial Lamb. So clear was His destiny, it could be said that His coming as God's Word, His preparation, & His ministry labelled Him as One already sacrificed (ahead of time).

Yet, when reading this verse from the Lexicon, it's interesting that it's given as 'those whose names have not been written from the foundation of the world, in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain'. However, I doubt whether the verse should be understood in this way, though there is Truth in this also.

First of all, I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom and grandmother. You and your husband are in a tough position and my heart goes out to you both. I am not sure what your options are but living out on the street would not be good. If you and your husband are financially able to afford an apartment, have you looked into renting a small house instead, or perhaps a trailer? In many places, the cost of renting a house is comparable to being in an apartment. I don't want to pry into your personal business but perhaps a relative could take you in temporarily until you find a place?

I am trying to make sense out of why this person would offer up their home to a couple of Christians. I understand the friend thing, but I don't understand a Satanist sharing his home with a couple of believers. That part doesn't make sense to me.

The Lord works in ways we oftentimes cannot understand. Maybe by you and your husband being where you're at now, this could be His way of bringing conviction into this person's heart. I'm not saying that's the case because I don't know the answer to that.

Either way, you belong to the Lord. Trust in Him always. Go wherever He leads you.

Please pray hard for your friend. Pray that the Lord might use you and your husband as a witness of what Christ has done for you and that His will might be done in your circumstances.

What Bible are you reading? You give me the biggest headache trying to follow along. It's both rambling and vague, and your use of scripture is wanting. How is anyone supposed to read that rap and understand who these two kings are? What thinker could possibly settle on two anti christ's where each one will rule his kingdom for 3 years and a day? Even I know anti christ receives 42 months of power, then defeated by Jesus.

The beast & Babylon are hidden in plain sight, and those who know can rationalize who they are with logic. I'm better off reading the Bible myself, then figure this out.

Hi Chad, My dad was also on dialysis for about 10 years and chose to stop when it was not helping with his quality of life. I do not believe that stopping dialysis is a form of suicide. I believe that Gods word permits us to decline life-sustaining medical treatment that is either ineffective or excessively burdensome. In Ecclesiastes 3 it says there is a time to die, this can also include a time to stop resisting death by means of measures that are minimally effective or have frequent, serious side effects. I believe with all of my heart that my dad went to Heaven!!!

When the jailor asked; Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Was he referring to salvation (spiritual saving) or physical saving - from the wrath of his superiors after Paul and Silas were miraculously released?

I am seriously considering living in a motel for a while, we do pay the guy's mom $300 a month to stay here, we have been in touch with various landlords since March of this year, but no one ever gets back to us, or they rent to someone else. My husband and I don't have any relatives to stay with as my family stopped talking to me after my grandma's passing, and my husband's cousins at first agreed to us living with them until we found our own place, but then they backed out at the last minute. I can't leave this state since I am on disability, and all of my doctors are here. I definitely would not rather live with a Satanist over a Christian, we definitely don't plan on living here for very much longer.

Hi Nicole, just so you know, I would rather stay outside in a tent anyday than stay under the same roof as a satanist. That's great that you've sought advice, but even though I think you have some concern, to me, I don't think you're taking this very seriously. I don't think you've tried very hard or have exhausted all your possible options. If it were me, I'd move out immediately THEN I'd decide where to go. I'd stay at a motel for the first day, then travel to the nearest relevatives if I had no money. I'd then call a church- have you tried that? To me it sounds like maybe you'd rather stay with a satanist than with a Christian. I just don't understand it and it sounds like your faith might be in jeopardy.

If it were truly important then you would follow Matthew 5:30 and do absolutely everything possible immediately, even cut off your own arm, to get away. To me it would be an absolute emergency, but I can see you're taking your time and a little frustrated with only one landlord? (aren't there many more, can't you leave town?), but otherwise enjoying free rent. What is more important to you, free rent or your faith? This should be a very easy decision. You have to choose your priorities and what is most important to you. I'm concerned for your soul.

Here's another point to take notice in these verses. We know wisdom is made over unto us by way of the cross.

And we know our redemption is by way of the cross.

Yes, I have read all of those scriptures before, I actually did stop being friends on social media with that Satanist, and even though we live under the same roof my husband and I stay in our room with the door closed. My husband is Christian, but he never seems to get plagued by Satan. We both want to leave and have our own home, but landlords keep ignoring our applications for apartments, and if we weren't here we would be out on the street. I lived with my grandma for many years, and was her caregiver all the way until she passed in 2020. I met my husband in 2017, and he moved in with me in 2018, and married in 2019. My grandma's kids sold the house in April 2021 while we were still living there which left my husband and I to almost be homeless.

Hello Adam. My husband and I are living here temporarily with the Satanist, because I lived with my grandma and mom all my life, my mom passed in 2013, and my grandma passed in 2020. Her kids sold the house while we were still living there, and we had no where else to go.
