So, those OT Apocryphal books were, under examination, generally considered not to have the backing & authority from the Word of God (i.e. the Torah, the Prophets & the Writings). The Jews of Jesus' day did not accept them, neither did Jesus or believers in Him allude to them. As the Jews were dispersed in that silent period, coming under the various rulerships of Egypt, Syria & Rome, many Jews did however accept those books because of a dearth of anything else (from God?) & they were translated into Greek which they would have been more familiar with than Hebrew. But as a rule, the Jews of Jesus' day gave those apocryphal writings no regard, believing that the whole revelation & Word from God were contained between the Books of Genesis & Malachi & no further.
If a close examination is done in the Apocryphal Books, we find that there is much that is worthy to read & digest but also things written that are dubious & anti-scriptural. So, my belief is that if there is anything scripturally unsound or from writers that are unrecognized, then we must approach those writings with great caution. And I suspect that God would not expect both natural Israel nor engrafted Israel (Christians) to accept those writings as authoritative as His Own Word, the Bible, given to us.
Your question was if some people believe that. You probably already know the answer is yes. But maybe your real question is it a requirement to be baptized to enter heaven? If that is your question I have a response.
My main question is why wouldn't you want to be baptized? What's the real reason for wanting to disobey Jesus? If someone is looking to only do the bare minimum in order to "make it to heaven", one might wonder if that person is a real Christian. God wants all of us- to love the Lord with all our heart, all our mind, all our strength. If someone is mostly interested in following the world, but wants to just cut corners and do whatever they assume is the bare minimum, I personally would not feel much assurance of salvation. Jesus clearly said to be baptized, so if someone disregards Jesus's words, it seems like slapping him in his face, as that person thinks they know better than Jesus.
Here's the verse where Jesus says to be baptized: Mark 16:16
Acts 2:38 clearly says to be baptized also. If it wasn't important, they wouldn't have said to do it, but they did say to do it. So, aside from a physical disability, if someone doesn't want to do it for whatever reason, is following Jesus very important to them? It reveals someone's priorities. Matthew 6:21 - All will be judged fairly and I think some will be surprised on judgment day: Matthew 10:33. God bless...
You said: (quote) - "How much of a simpleton does God have to be that he would explicitly reveal the mystery, that He would write in Isaiah: "America is Mystery Babylon" so the feeble minded faithless are satisfied, like they saw it on TV.
I am not American, and I must say that you are wrong. What you said above is FAKE. Isaiah do not refers to America absolutely. Isaiah prophesized, saying:
- The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.
- Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the Sword.
- Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
- Behold, I will stir up the MEDES AGAINST THEM, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.
- Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
- And BABYLON, the GLORY OF KINGDOMS, the BEAUTY of the CHALDEES' EXCELLENCY, shall be as when GOD overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.
Be careful with the Word of GOD, or get ready
Again: I am not American, but what you wrote obout the prophecy of Isaiah - the Word of GOD - yeah, what you wrote is FAKE, it's tares.
Greetings in Christ JESUS,
Thank you for your reply
OK, no debate, but the Truth matters.
Although some things you commented, according to your theory, are doubtful and need of confirmation, remember that Revelation 12:v.17, and 12:v.12, and 9:11, and 11:7, and 17:8, that you mentioned in your post, all them are linked to what our Lord JESUS said in Revelation 1:v.1:
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ,
which God gave unto Him,
to shew unto His servants things which must shortly COME to PASS;(future exclusively)
and He sent and signified it by His angel
unto His servant John:
and knowing I have so more to learn but will never forget what I was taught.
Greetings in Christ JESUS,
No, Juan Diaz, I did not miss "3.5 years of the last week, and you're missing a big fact about the duration of the prophesy" as you said. I closed my post saying as I quoted below:
... there will be TWO powerful MAN Beasts in near future exactly in the beginning of the FIRST half of the last seven years of the Devil's world, or 1.260 days.
And I commented: (I'm sure this terrible and satanic EVENT will happen in this current decade-2020-2030, thus, as soon as the FIRST HALF of the last seven years of the Devil's world ENDS, the WORST OF ALL EVENTS WILL HAPPEN after the death of JESUS on the cross, WHICH IS THE BEGINNING of the establishment OF THE ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION IN THE SECOND HALF. 12:v.11-12 + Matt.24:15
Maybe you did not read Daniel 12:11-12 and Matthew 24:v.15 which confirm what I wrote. The Word is GOD.
Due to the fact that you are concerned and wanting to be obedient to God and follow Christ, it sounds like you're already on the right track. I think the words of Paul about assurance in salvation is for you. Paul murdered Christians, but felt assurance in his ultimate salvation. But I don't believe as many believe that we're 'saved' on earth. I believe that is a misinterpretation of the Bible. I believe we will all face judgment first, then a minority will be saved. But I believe genuine Christ followers (Christians) can have assurance of salvation if they are following Christ. I just don't believe it's permanent until after we're first judged and 'saved'. People on earth still have freewill to choose who they want to serve and follow up until the point of death. Sadly many Christians do falter and follow the devil. There is plenty of proof of that. And there's plenty of proof of the opposite- murderers becoming Christ followers even on death row. God doesn't strip away our freewill just because we chose to follow Him. Satan is proof of that since he was in heaven and still had freewill to disobey.
It's the ones who aren't concerned whatsoever about their actions and enjoy following the world and enjoy sinning who assume they have immunity who are the ones who should be most concerned, in my opinion. God will forgive a lot- there is a very high allowance for mistakes and we get countless chances in this life to get it right, grace covers a lot, in my opinion. But this assumes we're genuinely following Christ. If we say we're a Christian but follow the world and live in sin (unknowingly following satan) then I believe grace will not cover such deliberate sin (depart from me I never knew you is what I think Jesus will say).
I think it's normal for a Christian to have doubt and struggled (like Paul), and we're imperfect beings, so we may sin from time to time even when we're trying our very best to follow Christ.
Please, I do not want to cause or start a debate because similar has been taught for many years, this is just to point out a few things you may look at in your study.
The seven years come from Daniel 9:27, if that prophecy has been fulfilled what does that change?
In Revelation 12:17 the original text, the dragon (Satan) is standing on the sands of the sea after he is cast down permanently to earth with no more access to heaven. Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Does that change the scene? Peaceful it will not be.
In Revelation mainly there are Satan, the beast, and a false prophet. From long ago there were angels that left their estate and were locked in chains of darkness in the bottomless pit. We are told in ( Revelation 9:11) the king of the bottomless pit is in Hebrew Abaddon, in Greek Apollyon both meaning destruction the same meaning as perdition like son of.
In Revelation the beast comes from the bottomless pit, ( Revelation 11:7) ( Revelation 17:8) With this in mind, do these verses imply this beast being a man?
The word sea can symbolize peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues, it can also refer to the Mediterranean Sea, also the abyss, and the bottomless pit.
I hope you take this well, it is just something you may look at in your studies. If you still feel confident in your interpretation that's ok. There are things we will not know until they happen and as long as we are watching, we are ready, our faith is strong, we walk in the Spirit of truth, we stand for Jesus, and we are prepared for what we may have to face, even if it is death.
God bless,
RLW
Daniel 12:v. 11-12, and Matthew 23:v.15 and 21-22, and Revelation 1:v.1
11 And from the time that...the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. (there will be a gap of 30 days after the end of the second half of these last seven years of the Devil's word)
12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. ( Here a gap of 75 days after the end of the Abomination of Desolation, in fact A MYSTERIOUS DAY 1.335. The KINGDOM of GOD is established- Rev.11:15-18 - Aleluia! )
Matthew 24:15 and 21-22 - JESUS WARNED -
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
21 For then shall be Great Tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And EXCEPT these days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Revelation 1:v.1
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to shew unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass; and He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John:
Actually, the last week of this Devil's world is implicit or included in this last decade of the Devil's world.
GET READY
Were you able to read my last two responses?
My God comes back to earth?
From the time antichrist is revealed, to the time Christ defeats him is 3.5 years.
You are missing 3.5 years of the last week, and you're missing a big fact about the duration of the prophesy. You will never account for a 7 year great tribulation from Bible accounts without fabricating the time line. It is not counted in consecutive time frames. How much of a simpleton does God have to be that he would explicitly reveal the mystery, that He would write in Isaiah: "America is Mystery Babylon" so the feeble minded faithless are satisfied, like they saw it on TV.
I can't wait to see what God has in store for America' exceptional; a furbished surprise that glitters. Balmy outside. God will hide the answers from individuals until their time comes.
( John 1:14) Jesus, the "Word made flesh" who "dwelt among us".
Amen, the Lord is good!
We were bought with a price. You are oh so correct in that we cannot know another person's heart. Sometimes I think we can't even know our own. But God knows. He knows our hearts better than we do. And yes, we should readily accept those who profess Christ as being part of our family. We are to love them. It's not about being in agreement with each other on what the scriptures say. It's about knowing that we are brothers and sisters in Christ and we are all part of His body. I don't believe we are to love one another because the bible tells us to, or out of a sense of obligation. We love one another because God's Spirit living in us gives us that type of love. I get excited when I come across someone who professes Christ, but at the same I am cautious. I think that as believers, we are to judge one another. Not for salvation, because like you say, only God knows a person's heart and true state. But we as believers are to be "fruit inspectors."
As far as the encouragement and warnings given to us, I would agree on the latter part of your statement. Thank you so much my brother in Christ Jesus for your words and for the encouragement you bring to all of us. Your knowledge and understanding of scripture is something to be strived for, and yet, we're to be satisfied with whatever the Lord gives us!
Revelation 1
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ,
which God gave unto him,
to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;
and he sent and signified it by his angel
unto his servant John:
Revelation 11:v.1-2
1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying,
Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
2 But the COURT which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not;
for it is given unto the GENTILES:
and the holy city-JERUSALEM-shall they tread under foot forty and two months.(HALF OF WEEK-1.260 days)
Revelation 13:v.1 and 5 and 2
1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a (MAN) Beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon HIS horns ten crowns, and upon HIS heads the name of blasphemy. (What's name?)
5 And there was given unto him(unto the MAN Beast of sea)a MOUTH speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.(IN FULFILMENT OF REV. 11:v.2-HALF OF WEEK)
2 ... and the Dragon gave him(to the MAN Beast of sea) his Power, and his Seat(his Throne), and great Authority.(According this verse the MAN Beast of sea will sit on the Throne of the MAN Dragon-Rev.13:v.11 in the Holy City
which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified).
That said, there will be TWO powerful MAN Beasts in near future exactly in the beginning of the first half of the last seven years of the Devil's world, or 1.260 days.(I'm sure this terrible and satanic event will happen in this current decade-2020-2030), thus, as soon as the first half of the last seven years of the Devil's world ends, the worst of all events will happen after the death of JESUS on the cross, which is the beginning of the establishment of the Abomination of Desolation in the second half. Daniel 12:v.11-12 + Matt.24:15
God bless you.
Who Is The Word of God - in Reply on Genesis 1
It is Jesus's name at the beginning of Genesis. He had not been born through Mary yet.
He is the 2nd person of the Godhead, Romans chapter 1. Father, Son, Holy Spirit
John chapter 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
I share this true interpretation of God's Word in His creation

Greetings in Christ JESUS
The Word is GOD.
Remember 1 Corinthians 2:v.9 to 16:
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love Him.
10 But GOD hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of GOD.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of GOD knoweth no man, but the Spirit of GOD.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of GOD; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of GOD.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit (who is not a ghost as is written in English language, but a person as JESUS is a person too) teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of GOD: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he that is spiritual Judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? but we have the mind of Christ.
